Tried Golden Corral for breakfast and was honestly impressed. The spread is huge--everything from made-to-order omelets and scrambled eggs to bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and biscuits with gravy. There's even fruit, yogurt, and pastries if you want to keep it light (but let's be real, I went for the chicken and waffles). The staff was super friendly and on top of things. Plates were cleared quickly, and drinks were always full. The restaurant itself was clean and organized, even during the morning rush. Bottom Line: Come with an appetite and an open mind, and you'll leave full and satisfied.

The waitress (Marlene) was excellent. She was friendly and came by to fill up glasses and take dishes from table. The manager DJ also came by the table to say hi and asked if everything was fine. The food was hot and fresh.

So I am giving 5 stars because of my server Maria The food is ok But she went above and beyond I have a dairy allergy and asked if the scrambled eggs are made with butter she went and actually asked and when she found out it had dairy she asked the omelette station staff to make me scrambled eggs with olive oil If all the staff was like this it would be an awesome location Just in case there are a few Maria’s - she’s the younger one

This Golden Corral is the best one I have been to it is clean, the staff is super friendly the general Manager Osmar is so professional and very courteous and helps his staff , I see him going to all tables and speaking to the customers. The food quality is perfect and I love the mashed potatoes and gravy the dinner rolls I love the fried shrimp the macaroni the pizza and I absolutely love the salad bar! Definitely recommend eating here

Fried chicken, roast chicken, steaks, and whole roasted turkey with all the Holiday fixings. All are great!!! Nice salad bar and desserts. Carrot Cake is a favorite. Bourbon Chicken, Meatloaf, and Pot Roast all good. Best deal for us is the Senior Lunch that includes a drink. Pro tip: We try to get there just before the 4PM cutoff and the dinner entrees come out at 4:00 for the lunch price.

Love how the place turned around. Came here about 5 months ago and it’s wasn’t all that great… decided to go back again because my son has been wanting to go! I went with low expectations from past experience and left with a new “ go to” family dinner place. The staff seemed on top of everything… cant recall The General Manager’s name but he was so professional with such great customer service and is well organized he was helping all his staff as well as teaching them with such patience Whenever he was able to he made sure his customers were good and settled into their spots!! The servers and cashier were amazing as well!! They have great options,I definitely will come back again…it’s so much better now!!

After being one of the lucky 20,000+ that had no electricity on thanksgiving due to the p.s.p.s. ( public safety power shutoff ) I had to find a place for me and my family to eat So I called Golden Corral and was told they had a thanksgiving buffet for $20 Showed up around 2:45 and the line was out the door ( about 8 people ) waited about 15 or 20 minutes ( moved pretty quick for the size ) I’m not really a big buffet person. But the majority of the food was good ( about 80% of it ) and for as busy as it was they kept the food stations full the whole time Great steaks 🥩 good ham and I really liked the spaghetti 🍝 as well as the salad bar it had some super fresh veggies Will definitely be back. Also all the employees were very friendly 👍👍

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. The service was amazing, the wait to be seated was a little long, but it was Thanksgiving so, it was to be expected.

One of the most cleanest buffet type of restaurants that i went too. The food is above average for a buffet. Well stocked for the customers. Food is pretty much cooked and served fresh and from what I see doesn't sit too long. A good balance of when food is put out. Unlike a lot of buffets, you can actually taste what you are eating. Chicken taste like chicken, strak like steak, etc, as were as other buffets everything taste the same or over seasoned. Staff is very warming and pleasent. The staff here works very hard to keep everything clean. I'll be a regular when im around.

Salad bar was excellent!! Very fresh! And when I noticed someone doing something at the Salad bar the worker took the whole dressing dish out not just the serving spoon without question. Manager greeted us and found us a table right away on Easter after church it was busy. I don't live in the area but we thought we tried the restaurant. I will be back when in the area and find myself hungry! Oh by the way the fried fish seasoned perfect👌🏾

Food is good and fresh with plenty of choices. They'll make you custom omlettes and cook your bacon more if you ask. It can get busy at dinner time and the prime rib is great sliced the way you like. It is slow during breakfast hours on weekends. We like coming with the family.

I went with my friends and we all over ate was about to bust lol. We paid 350 dollars, outrageous. My friend Mark ate spaghetti and then a strawberry fell on his plate out of nowhere. He then died cause he ate some bad meatloaf. My friend Kyle got the fried okra and some seaman looking substance came out of it, weird. We ate 60 plates in total and all got food poisoning. The PP was great though, It was yummy in my tummy. I ate ham that was sitting there for about 6 or 7 hours probably but I don't know. At the end we all did cheers with ice cream. After we went to a tunnel outside and we saw a homeless guy or a alien. I think it was a alien. I went home and played steal a brainrot after, then took the most monstrous dookie ever. 10/10 would come back.

It's been almost a couple of years since we've been to this location. They have really improved its food quality; and service now has a smile. If I had any critiques about the food, I would say the baked, chipotle chicken is slightly undercooked and the chocolate cakes are dry. Other than that, we found the visit to be delicious and delightful! :)

For being a big chain buffet restaurant the food was actually hot and flavorful. The service was great. I actually was able to enjoy my meal with out being bugged. And when I need something the server was there and I didn't have to get up and look for her or ask any of her co workers for help. Great place for lunch. I do feel it's a bit pricey.

The manager was more than polite and generous with the greeting as we walked in and we felt right at home! Food is pretty good, mainly dinner items. The desserts need an upgrade bc the cakes/pies are watery or too sweet. Some people cooking and serving did well, but the others weren't helpful when I had a problem with their crane machine.

We haven't been at Golden Coral in about 10 years. The prices were higher. The food was the same as it ever was. A notch above average. The appeal is the wide variety food available. From salads to deserts and everything in between. Oh, did I mention it buffet style all you can eat! After 3 plates of food if you want to eat a whole apple pie. Be my guest. Cheese cake stacked on top of fried chicken and beef brisket, yes indeed.

Easy to pay and grab a plate. Food was pretty good. a huge variety of options; salad bar, pizza, taco bar, different potato's, veggies, rice, fried food; French fries, fried zucchini, fried shrimp. The steak and ribs roast that is carved and served was delicious. Our group was in the rear dining area, not enough tables, but they helped accommodate by bringing more in. Good variety of desserts, cookies, strawberry jello, brownies, soft serve with cones, cakes, some toppings; nuts, marshmallows, chocolate covered strawberries. Dinner was good, dessert was alright. Overall I would eat there again, but wouldn't very my first choice. Price per person $22 adult. Very nice and helpful staff.

Katie, our server and hostess, was outstanding. She was attentive and managed everything with ease, making us feel well cared for. Sadly, her shift ended during our visit, and Alissa took over. Our experience changed noticeably at that point. Alissa seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. While I understand that everyone has off days, professionalism matters—especially in customer service. She never checked on us, and we had to ask for both our pick-up and refill (coffee). When she finally brought the coffee, it arrived without the creamer we requested. Throughout the interaction, she didn’t speak a single word to us. Even a simple greeting would have made a difference.

My family and like to come here because they have a great selection of items. The buffet is well kept and pretty organized. The staff is friendly and we appreciated the kitchen staff very much because they were quick on their feet and made sure that all food trays were full for the most part. The low points were that we had to wait a little bit because they ran out of silverware and the tables were a bit messy. Also our waitress was nice but she took an extremely long time just to refill our drinks and we had dirty plates stacking up at our table because she wasn't consistently coming back to pick up our plates. It was the end of her shift and she wanted to go home, poor soul, but just a friendly reminder that you still have people waiting for you. I guess the question is "who really is the waiter?" The customer or the employee who is supposed to pick your plates up, refill your drinks and assist you?. But overall, the place has a nice atmosphere and we had a great time!

Usually, I visit golden corral for the Veterans Day dinner and every time I visit for that they are truly setting the bar for excellence. However, this visit I’m sad to report was not the situation. The steak was extremely fatty and grizzly. The situation was so dismal that my wife absolutely refused to eat anything from the buffet. My daughter and I both sat down with our plates. We were like why aren’t you eating anything and she was like everything looks like it’s stale and it’s been left out all day so she went back to the cashier and asked for a refund. Unlike last summer, the last time I ate at GC, the pork n beans and carrot salad with raisins which should be at the very least, mildly sweet are hardly sweet at all as if GC is cutting costs by eliminating much of the sugar if not all from the recipe. Mac n cheese is the most bland, tasteless I've ever had, one spoonful and I was done with it. The steak, chicken and ham were ok and I guess worth the $21 I paid with a senior discount for Saturday lunch no drinks just water.

Salad Bar; lettuce and spinach looked good. I don't know HOW you can mess up coleslaw, but they sure did. Nooooo taste and very watery. Dear goodness. Shredded Carrots. Sweet and very average. Desserts; mostly pre-frozen and ready made. I tried the Carrot cake. It was ok, just like the ones you get at the grocery store bakery. Factory pre made to defrost and sell (?)...I'd say. The chocolate pudding had no taste! I do not know how that can be? How? Overall; yeah, I'd say that you can eat there, if you don't care about lukewarm, no taste or salty taste foods, but for me, it is not even close to a $20 lunch (w. senior discounts !!!). My opinion.... That's it. Myy personal opinion. Restaurant looked fairly clean. Staff very friendly. Not very busy at this lunch time, it seemed. I do not know what their 'dinner additions' look like, but I am NOT planning on finding out. If you have taste buds, you probably won't be very happy eating here.

The Lake Elsinore location did not deliver the experience I've grown accustomed to from other Golden Corral locations. I went in for breakfast around 10:00 am. To be polite I would say the breakfast selections were meager. It took over 30 minutes, standing in line, to get an omelette that was mediocre. The sausage patties were dry, as if they had been sitting in the pan for quite sometime. The only bright spot was the service, the young woman waiting my table was very attentive.

We just attempted to eat dinner here. My fiancé comes a lot and I'm not a huge fan myself due to the quality of the food here but we came here on Thanksgiving 2yrs ago (3 of us) because my sister was battling cancer and could not eat due to tubes in her stomach and such so we didn't really celebrate anything for this reason including last Thanksgiving. So tonight we decided to come here after finding this complementary voucher the manager gave us to come back for two of us which included meals for two and two drinks. Omar came out saying he can't honor it because they are new franchise owners. He tried to then make a drink that it was 2yrs ago. Mind you this was not dated. No expiration date! This was a meal we paid for 2 yrs ago for our thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving and they were out of food and some of the main Thanksgiving dishes we had come for. Being that nowhere else was going to be open we stayed. The then manager Eric was very kind, and told us they were not able to bring anything else out because they were out. We didn't make a big stink about it by asking for a refund. He went to the back and just came out with a voucher. Omar was beyond rude, insulting by offering us 50% off a meal we had already paid for and missed the point! It was not about money. It was principal. I don't care if they are a new franchise. We had a voucher specific to that location and he should have honored it and then started harassing me saying I was going g to ruin his business because I asked for corporates number. How unprofessional can you be to have this reaction and confrontation with customers right in front of all who were standing in line. It was so embarrassing. We have a 6 figure income. This was not about the money. A manager to make such a big stink over nothing and then tell us to pay 50%? lol it's a joke. Terrible customer service and you lost customers for life. I will be sure to share this with all who live in my gated community of Canyon Lake and all the groups on Facebook. But apparently the quality has become worse too since I had been there from all the latest reviews so maybe Omar needs to be replaced. Not what you would expect of a manager. If you're so worried I'm going to complain, then maybe you should rethink about how you handled the whole situation because you will run this location to the ground if you'd rather be unethical and insulting because you want 50% than to honor a voucher that was given to us.

The food was delicious like always and the server we got was great. However, there were two problems. When my mom went to go pick a table, one of the servers, Stephanie, told my mother she could not sit in her section. We found that absurd. When asked why we couldn’t sit there she said it’s because that table is only for parties of 5 not 3. I don’t understand why she would tell us that if my family and I always sit in that table when being served by Barry, who by the way has way better character and service than her. Our other problem was with one of your usual parties. There was a party of 18 that was being so rude and demanding with the chef that cooks the steaks. We were told the chef was new so we understood the delay he had. I felt terrible that the chef had to deal with those arrogant people, we kept telling him he was doing great and that it wasn’t his fault for the delay. But thanks to that table that was sitting in Stephanie’s section, several customers kept having to wait for their steaks. My family and I felt very upset and uncomfortable because we couldn’t sit at our usual table thanks to Stephanie, who was rude to my mother when saying she couldn’t sit at the table, and also thanks to that stupid party of 18. Normally our days with you guys are great and we love coming to eat here, but after the way Stephanie treated my mother today we now feel uncomfortable going.

This golden corral location is by far the worst I have ever been to. No longer feels welcoming. Feels empty, kind of like this place was just made for business, and that's it. Salad bar felt like it was missing a few items, and the food was sub-par. The girl at the register didn't give us our silverware and waitress when asked for it didn't give it to us either. Today was my mother's birthday, and it felt like she didn't even get a proper meal. If I could ask for my money back, I would have. I do not recommend this place for anyone!

Don’t usually give negative reviews but the food here needs to improve—a lot—in all fairness though, the server was friendly.

Poor communication. Had to be rushed through our meal. We did not know the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes after we arrived. We feel we could have been that they closing shortly. Maybe would have not ate there. We spent over $100 and then rudely told we had to hurry will put meal. Even the Manager on duty was very rude also. Raising of his voice. Not even willing to offer any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. He was very out of line with raising his voice and telling us we were wasting food. We paid for it. The manager and his staff that even were the worst Customer service I have ever seen in Golden Corral. We love this buffet. We have been to several around the US. But this is WORSE AND WE DONT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE.

Worst place ever. Manager was rude, my brother only eats food at home because of his syndrome. Manager wanted us to pay for him. He is in a wheelchair, non verbal,. Then wanted my son to use a childs cup only so i put my drink down and started to leave since we had not paid yet and mngr. said i must pay for that drink. I invited him outside to talk about it but he didnt want to.

It was crowded, dirty, with horrible service. The food was dry, the staff inattentive, and the experience overall did not match the price. I am not coming back ever. I do not recommend this place. Go get some fast food, you will get better value for your money and better food also.

This is just my experience I’m not saying yours will be the same. Almost every other dish here is dirty. As soon as we walking in my grandmother picked up a red tray that has old food on it. The food here is very mediocre, it doesn’t seem like this establishment has pride in the name they are holding. Most of the friend food isn’t crispy it seems as though it came from a frozen foods bag. The lack of good options is really visible here as most food isn’t fresh. I came with my family of 8 and spent $163.61 for dirty dishes and unsatisfactory food. I’m not a big fan of Golden Corral anymore.

I’m sorry to say but this place is extremely low quality of food. Everything was cold food look like it was three days old. It’s absolutely trash. I guess I can say it’s capital of junk food. What a disappointment.

By far the worst one I’ve been too. Expensive for no reason, waiters take 30 min to reach you to get your drink. Lack of cooks you name it man. TERRIBLE experience

Horrible. They served us raw meat loaf. I asked for the manager and she did not come but instead sent some one else. Bar B Que ribs were not done either. The corn bread was like pudding.

Food was absolutely horrible for the price. Only things I liked was seafood cakes, turnip greens and prime rib. Butterfly shrimp were thin and overcooked and cocktail sauce too strong on the horseradish. Totally turned my stomach and I had to leave. Will not return ever.

One of the restaurant that I’m not going back. Why? Because even you payed for the food you’re going to eat they limit you to have it. The worst buffet in my life. They just give me one slice bite of sausage, but the line is really long to have the bite of sausages….

Not gonna pull punches here. Worst food I've ever had at a y food establishment. If I could give zero stars I would. Nobody deserves to be punished for patronizing a restaurant. I don't know people eat here. Even the dessert 🍨 was subpar. The only person working in the dining room was an absolute sweet heart, and should find a better place to work. Atmosphere was blah.

This place was in dire need of a cleaner. I came In tonight December 26 2022 at around 5pm. The place was absolutely filthy. I mean filthy enough that I can’t believe it was just todays filth. I had to go through at least 10 plates before finding a stack that did not still have food on the plates. Most of the plates look like it’s time to be thrown out. I did not even touch the salad bar, it was absolutely filthy. Just completely disgusting. The floors as seen in my picture was a good representation of the whole place including the counters. I understand they may be short staff but if you can’t adequately manage the restaurant close the doors. I will never go back. I am scared I many get food poisoning. That’s how filthy the place was.

I paid $18.39 and here is my opinion. All kind of paste looked dry and tasted dry the chicken with sauce was just boiled chicken with a little sauce and it tasts just like dry boiled  rice looks dry and steamed corn looks so bad i think it was sitting there for quiet a long time. The broccoli and rice casserole looks all smashed together. The fried shrimp tasted good and the fried fillet fish tasted good too. banana pudding was taste and sweet. Overall there was no quality or quantity i wouldn't recommend  this place. Don't waste your time or money.

We have been going here for breakfast frequently for the past couple months. The breakfast buffet is their best meal time. They have a good variety of options for breakfast and I usually enjoy it. Today 3/18/24 we got to the Lake Elsinore location at around 9:10AM. The doors were open but when we got inside it was dark. The lights were off but we could see employees in the back. Promptly a women came over to inform us they are closed until 11am. We asked why there is still a giant sign posted up on the side of their building which promotes breakfast at 9am and the worker pretended to be clueless about it. The huge sign on the building is positioned so that it is visible to freeway traffic. We can’t be the only ones who were disappointed by this. They also have a sticker directly on the front door promoting breakfast at 9am. I provided a photo

Server was being mindless and took everything from my table when I got up to get more food. Came back to people sitting at my table. Told server I wasnt done and they simply ignored me. Didnt offer to replace anything and made me ask for more utensils. Couldn't finish my meal without a drink and was already too bothered to ask for another thing(there were also no other servers) so I left. Learn how to treat single customers better. This was a terrible experience.

Absolutely horrendous. They have awful cleanliness especially around the ice cream machine / deserts area, there was a putrid smell. Me and my dad were just there and all of the food was cold and old. The only good part of this visit was the manager helping us with a refill once. Dry meatloaf. When i was eating the icecream i had a certain taste of something sour. My dad was amazed by seeing all five stages of grief while watching me eat their food. If you want to waste your money on cold and dry food, then this is the place for you. 0/10 wouldnt recommend. There was zero to none people.

I am a regular older customer of golden corral. I like this old chain store very much. They are known for their quality and service. Because of work, I have eaten at restaurants in various states. But this store is the worst I've ever seen. This is completely different from the chain stores I know. We went there at 6pm on a weekend. They had absolutely no spare plates and all the cutlery was dirty. No one cares about replacement. New dishes were washed only at the request of many customers. All their food plates were empty. Many guests are waiting. No beef at all. A dozen people were waiting and they only brought out two or three pieces of meat at a time. It took nearly ten minutes for them to give each person a small slice. And there is absolutely no choice of meat. I asked for it well-done and what they gave me was completely undercooked. The range hood above the oven was constantly dripping oil, making a lot of food around it very dirty. I don't know what the store manager thinks. However, as a chain brand of Golden Corral, doing so will not only hurt consumers, but also cause fatal harm to this chain restaurant that aims at quality and service. If they want golden corral to operate better, I hope they can grasp the basic service and customer experience of each store. Therefore, the problems of this store are hygiene, food continuity, service, and food quality.
