Great grilled chicken only complain is very hot place needs to be cooler in summer and warmer in winter

Chicken done right on the stone, beans needs a little salt but no complains

The chicken was extra hot (temperature). This made the experience even better.

My first visit here and so glad i came. Chicken was great good seasonings and the sides were super. The corn tortillas were made fresh. Will definitely be back when im in Laredo. They should build some in San Antonio.

I love this place. Always have to stop here when I'm in Laredo. Number 5 is my favorite. It's two chicken burritos with beans and rice inside. The chips and salsa is really good. The only problem I had was that I dont speak Spanish and the drive thru workers only speak Spanish but other then that it's a really great place to eat. Try it out.

I love this location. They always do a good job and the service is always friendly and efficient. I didn't rate the atmosphere because I always use the drive thru.

All you tourist from north America & other points from the world. You need too stop in & get a well made grilled chicken dinner that is made to perfection by the hands of some very talented Tex-Mex group of people. This Tex-Mex brand style food preparation is not found in any other place, but in South Texas. That line is drawn from El Paso I-10 thru The Alamo to the Astrodome then you cut thru the woods to Texas City to Corpus Christi then to Brownsville Texas, which is the Southmost point on the mainland U.S.A.. So now you know, you will not be disappointed with Tex-Mex style food. It's historical!!

OMG the chicken is so delicious and full of flavor! Do you have got to try the chicken! I had the eight piece and chicken burritos, awesomely delicious!

The grill chicken was excellent not like some other place that they dip fry the chicken and comes out dry. The hot sauces especially the avocado delicious good service also

I love their chicken. It's always delicious. The beans and rice were average. Nothing special.

Chicken has great flavor and is worth the try at least once. This is only 4 Stars because the sides are lacking flavor and taste. The chicken saves the day. Mashed potatoes are out of a box and the rice and beans are bland and have not much of a taste. The chicken is worth the trip though.

Reasonable prices and good food. A healthier option than fried chicken since the chicken is grilled here and not breaded. It is very tasty. Their desserts are very good also. They don't have pico de gallo for some reason, but have diced onion with a little cilantro which can be mixed with their tomato based salsa. They also have a good selection of sides.

The food is good and customer service is alright but the establishment itself needs more lighting, nothing compared to the restaurant next door. Over all, nothing major needed but the restaurant could in prove by adding more lighting 👍

Chicken is one of my faves at this place. It's just that orders can take forever through drive thru. Is it worth it? Yes, but if they find a faster service it will definitely better the experience. Last wait there was of 12 min. At lunch hour time is precious.

I love their food. Older gentleman working the lobby is attentive of the customers. People behind the counter look tired. Management, you need to do a better job at staffing your restaurant accordingly. I saw a lot of people come and go. Every single staff member was doing something but foot traffic was heavy. I applaud your staff for doing a good job even though you have them overworking themselves.

Though this isn’t my favorite Pollo Palenque it’s a good one. The service can vary but for the most part they are a good team here. The food is excellent. I enjoy getting the burritos if I’m eating alone. But when it comes to eating with family and coworkers you can’t go wrong ordering a family meal.

The food is okay, but definitely over priced

I hate that when your order vegetables they take extra long. The longest I waited on drive thru for an order was 45 mins!!! Food is great the speed is extra slow.

The chicken is the best tasting grilled chicken. The big issue is the place is dirty and needs a good remodeling. I'm still going back though, but the dirtiness stays on your mind.

Ok food from 1 to 10 let's say 6 I think they can make it better not that drie, and let's say over cook, salsas those are a 10 real good and tasty, service well it looks from my point of view that the persons in charge of the service not have a real good day, so I hope for my next visit this may change.

Food as always is great. I would recommend, if you want mexican style, charbroiled chicken with the sides. I just don't recommend eating in. The place needs a major update, but the staff are great and the food is amazing as always.

Your food has fair taste, regardless that sometimes your chicken gives me the impression that it has been reheated. The price of your chicken would be great if the box that you deliver wouldn't seem so empty---just wondering, where do you find such miniature pieces of chicken

I like the chicken, a little dry but it had a good taste, we got 2 sides, mash potato and rice, but we didn't like the rice or mash potato. The salsas didn't have flavor, but that's just me.

I have nothing but respect to taco palenque and the rest of their restaurants. However as much as I love coming here, it has been nothing but dissatisfying the last 4 times I’ve been here. The atmosphere is terrible. Restaurant is really dirty and they don’t maintain their restrooms. Ordered a chicken burrito with no beans as soon as I got home it came with beans when I told them 4 times no beans. The second time the burrito had like 12 oz of rice than chicken. The quality has gotten down here. They really need to maintain their restaurants or retrain staff here.

Decided to stop by and order something, unfortunately there is a lack of hygiene here especially when some of the employees are eating chocolate cake with their bare hands, then suck their fingers and then give you tortillas with the same bare hands that they just sucked on. Never coming here again

The food is good the servies not so good

They had a special on the menu but did not allow us to purchase . they said they were just fixing the menu that said it was good all month long

Chicken and sides were cold. Salsa had mold. Tortillas were undercooked.

I called the person in charge cause salsa had a bad taste it wasn’t good they didn’t believed me so I took it so they could at least smelled it they said it was nothing bad with it that they were not responsible cause they just pack it how sad

The place is always dirty and the bathrooms always smell terrible.And the last time I went,the employees were so mean and the floors were super dirty I never want to go back unless you remodel and add more things to the menu

They over charge almost 5 dlls on my tab called the restaurant, but phone never get answered:( Their service is bad the lady at the window is rude very rude .

Service here is normally fine, but whoever was the rude female employee working on Nov. 21 around 12:30 pm, who had a difficult time taking my order and then laughing it off, needs to be trained on providing quality customer service. Her attitude was deplorable.

I went to buy a family meal the one with 4 sides all was great with this order 👍 But then i payed separately an arroz con leche and it was no good it was bad spoiled the dated again was still good but was spoiled bad 🤢🤮 i got a manager told them about it and got a refund 2nd bad experience with it being bad 1st one Cotula Texas and now here in Laredo makes the whole experience bad 👎🤔🤢🤮😡😡 need higher up management to reply please ‼‼

Had a bad experience eating the guisado bowl. Had too much chile n tomatoes n hardly saw any meat. I dont like chile n was warn could be hot-picoso.

Bought an 8 piece meal for $28, I did not mind the price. Whatever. What I did mind was how dry and hard the chicken was. This place has gone from good to bad. Also, the drive-thru sign needs to be fixed very out dated and can barely see it. Won't be back for a long while until things improve.

Unfortunately, i got food poisoning from pollo palenque. I was a huge fan with pollo palenque the food is always delicious. I ate a 2 piece pollo combo with tortillas de arina, rice, beans and red salsa after work at around 9pm.. I woke up with abdominal pain specifically from the left lower quadrant. I had diarrhea and emesis episodes more than what I can count on my finger. I ended up going to work (12 hr shifts) because I thought it would go away (i’ve never experienced this before). It was barely 7am and I had gone to puke and diarrhea x2.. I was like yeah no i’m not going to survive at work. I felt very weak & my coworkers stated that I looked very pale and not my usual self. My charge assessed me and said wow your veins aren’t popping up, you’re extremely dehydrated. So I ended up leaving and continued puking bile & watery diarrhea. Just please be careful next time to whoever made my food. I love pollo palenque but this experience I had is now forever associated with that restaurant.. I’m still sick but liquids are finally not coming back up anymore.. Just please double check the ingredients, wash your hands & use fresh food.

Yesterday I bought a whole chicken but I think it had hepatitis B from how yellow it looked and how horrible it tasted. I asked for a roasted onion and they don't sell it. And forget about the lemons and 3 tortillas for a whole yellow chicken and I paid 35 dollars. I really don't recommend it. In fact, I'd rather throw it in the trash!

Two hour wait and when you go and complain and tell them, hey where’s my food they get mad and they tell you well we’re busy. You can have your money back you think people wanna sit around and wait two hours for your food and I wasn’t the only one there was multiple tables and then they try to give me the food for free, but that wasn’t the point. I didn’t want their food. I want good customer service. I do not recommend this place. Please don’t come to the place. The restroom was disgusting. You go to the restroom. Disgusting you don’t even wanna know how disgusting disgusting Horrible horrible place.

This place has some issues with everything. The food was not good at all and they gave me rotten chicken. It made my wife sick and also the place smells and is dirty. The service is horrendous and the only thing about the whole meal was the drink. Only because I served it myself. This place needs to get up to standards and I think the health department should give it a surprise visit.
