The food was incredible. We only had a short 3 day stay in KC but we kept coming back here to eat for every meal. The staff were so friendly and recommended we come back to try the brunch menu and thank god we did. That food sent us to the moon and back. Already planning a trip back to KC just to come eat here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an awesome time at Brick House in KC. We rolled in for Taco Tuesday — the prices were a steal and honestly, the tacos alone are worth making it a weekly ritual. The vibe inside was laid-back and welcoming, with a crew that really knows how to take care of you. Our server was on top of everything without ever feeling rushed, which is huge. Now let’s talk food: we ordered the cheese steak egg roll just to see what was up, and it totally surprised us. It was way lighter than expected, super crispy, packed with flavor, and didn’t leave you feeling weighed down. Add in some ice-cold beers that were poured perfectly, and you’ve got a solid start to the night. Everything came out of the kitchen quickly and tasted like it was made with serious care — nothing felt mass-produced or slapped together. It all had that homemade, crafted feel that you just don’t get at most places. If you’re in KC and looking for a spot that nails great service, killer deals, and food that’ll leave you hyped to come back, Brick House is absolutely it. We’ll be back soon to try more of the menu for sure.

Brick House KC is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful — I had the mac and cheese with burnt ends, and it was nothing short of amazing. Perfectly creamy pasta topped with tender, smoky burnt ends that were packed with flavor. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels relaxed yet lively. There are great outdoor seating options if you want to enjoy a nice day. Parking can be a bit tricky since the lot is shared with a neighboring restaurant and has some tight spots, but there is additional off-street parking nearby. They also offer daily specials and a solid lunch menu. Definitely worth a visit — I’ll be back for sure!

Went to brunch with a group of 8 on a Sunday. This place was packed. Surprisingly the host was able to accommodate the party with little to no wait. They honestly had me at bottomless mimosas. The food was so good. I mean really good. If ever in the Kansas City area, def give this place a try.

I don't know if this is typical for the place or not but it was extremely loud there last night. Like the kind of loud you cant hear what the waiter is saying kind of loud. (??) I ordered the mushroom & swiss burger with tots. The burger was actually good! But with those kinds of burgers they can be dry because there's no sauce of any kind added...and the burger as a whole, was dry. Not the meat, the meat & mushrooms were perfect. Just think about adding some sort of sauce please! Garlic aioli?? My overall impression was 'medium'... I would like to go back a different day & see what it's like without all the noise, but it wasn't the kind of thing I would crave (food-wise) & have to go back for honestly. Still... 4 stars. Service was great & attentive, food came out fast & seating was comfy. So, definitely give them a try when you're down there.

Great Brunch! We liked the menu - something for everyone. Thought there would be more than 1 sweet option, but regardless, it all was tasty. A couple of our folks got the Classic breakfast option that included biscuits & gravy - the FLUFFIEST, cake-like biscuits! We also had the Breakfast sliders, French Toast with strawberries and Loaded Tater Kegs (cheesy to the hilt). Their Mimosas & Bellinis were a great addition, too! Fun, lively atmosphere with full bar right in the heart of historic Union Hill.

Well, I wanted bottomless mamosas, but sadly, it was a Wednesday, and they only serve them on the weekends. I ordered a cranberry mamosa, and I was good; it didn't taste the alcohol. I ordered nachos, but unfortunately, I had to order extra queso and jalapeños. We did, however, find where all the queso had gone, and it was at the bottom of the plate in 2 opposite corners. The nachos were not bad. The mamosa was not bad. The service was really good, she sat us, gave us time to order, and checked on us after the food arrived, afrerwe had a chance to taste it. The music was good, not too loud, the place was clean. I enjoyed it and want to go on a weekend.

Went here for a work meeting after work. We ordered appetizers. I like that when my drink was too strong I was offer a free non-alcoholic beverage to cut down the alcohol. However, the appetizers were very burnt. Cheese curds are not supposed to be crunchy y'all.

In terms of food, just didn’t have a good experience. Ordered their regular house burger medium well (yes, I know…) but parts of came out still pink/raw so that was off putting. And although I’m glad I was able to get a redo of the burger, it ended up just tasting very very meaty. Like beef was the strongest taste and that’s saying something considering everything was salty, even the ceaser salad my friend got too!! Plus, if you’re looking to order an old-fashion here, my friend said not to as it tasted like donkey :3 Otherwise, I did enjoy how nice/responsive my waiter was. Environment of the bar was cool but not going to lie, the live music can be worked on……… Also, I want to add that I did try to find the 20% gratituty tip mention on the menu but didn’t see that anywhere…. Kind of lame as my $11 burger ended up being a $17.50 meal after double tip (bc I also did more) :3

This is probably my most confused review ever. Because I am so used to this establishment having great service and great food but today was just not their best day! There were so many mishaps with the food for my small party of three. From Hair in the syrup, to literally leaving out the meat in one of our burritos. I also thought it was strange that after brunch is over at 2 PM you still can’t order regular food until 230. I don’t know, just not a great experience. Wish it was better.

Food to go can only be ordered online by a courier service. I ordered pick up for 7. At 7 I got a text indicating that it would be ready at 8. So I walked to the restaurant to ask about it. The very busy and abrupt bartender told me I needed to take it up with Grub Hub instead of asking the kitchen. Just as I was leaving someone from the kitchen walked up with my order. I reached for it and he jerked it away, saying, " hold on, we don't know that this is yours". ( which makes sense outside of the situation and the "jerking "it away). I told him it was an extremely unpleasant encounter and that I regret tipping. I am a proponent of tipping. I like to recognize people for the work they do. I am the first to compliment jobs well done professionally and personally. I abhor rude servers. This is KC, people are friendly and kind.. not Paris. I like the bar food and convenience of Brick House. I live close. I’d happily pay a bit more for better, service. Not sure I’ll return..

Bryanna was our server. She wrote down our orders and then forgot to put half of the food in. We were trying to be patient, as it was a Friday night and expected to be busy. When we received half of our food, we ordered the other half and asked for silverware. We never received the silverware from Bryanna. The food runner realized when he brought out the other half of the food that we didn’t have silverware and covered for her, after he brought our silverware she never came back to confirm we had everything. We then asked for checks and she brought them within two minutes, then took ten minutes to collect our payment. We then saw her take a shot with another table, and that isn’t a problem if we hadn’t been neglected all night. I have loved coming here for years, and as other reviews have stated- this place is on a downhill slope :( sorry to have to leave it behind.
