Fui el año pasado y quería probar comida típica leonesa y fue todo un acierto, llevaba un año deseando volver a probar su cecina infiltrada, la morcilla de leon… los torreznos, qué locura!! Hice un viaje y de excusa tuvimos que pasar por leon solo para repetir y NO ME DEFRAUDÓ. Servicio y comida excepcional. Christian es una pasada de camarero, de los que ya no existen! Volveré pronto!

Fuimos un grupo grande para tomar unas cervezas 🍺 y tapear que buen trato tuvieron con nosotros y que buenas tapas de verdad lo recomiendo se tiene que comer de 10 y solo estuvimos tapeando y nos encantó volveremos.

Excelente sitio para tapear y si decides comer, no te vas a arrepentir. Tienen una excelente cocina con una materia prima muy buena y el servicio ha sido muy cercano y amable. Repetiremos sin duda

Una parada especial en el camino, igual que el año pasado, en El Tizón. Esta vez arrancamos el 2025 con un nuevo objetivo: ¡llegar a Santiago! Y como todo buen comienzo necesita una buena cena… vinimos a tiro seguro. Recomendado al 100%: atención cercana, ambiente familiar y una cocina que nunca falla. 👏 👏👏 Gracias por acogernos de nuevo. ¡Volveremos!

No podemos estar más satisfechos. La calidad de la comida es excelente, con especial mención a la cecina, que estaba en su punto justo de curación y sabor; la morcilla, cremosa y con un toque especiado increíble; y el rabo de toro, tierno y con una salsa deliciosa. Además, el trato del camarero Jorge ha sido inmejorable. Atento, amable y con muy buenas recomendaciones, ha hecho que la experiencia sea aún mejor. Sin duda, un lugar para repetir y recomendar.

Great place highly reccomended. Service and quality of food were outstanding. Had besugo. Wow. Chiperones were cooked perfect. Good wine list. Only regret is i didnt try the aged beef. All looked soooo good. Dont miss this place. Very good, profesional but personal service from waiter.

El Tizón is a MUST VISIT. Our favorite chuletón in Spain, and the absolute best, most professional, excellent service one could possibly imagine. The leeks were incredible, the wine was incredible, and the dining room has a fantastic, old-school vibe. We will be back again and again and again.

We spend a few days in Leon during a business trip. Every evening we went out and tried a lot of these small bars which you can find at every corner in that town. El Tizon was definitely the best of them. We came back here every night. Especially because of the delicious tapas they serve with every beer you order: Fresh ham, sausages or cheese, cut in front of your eyes behind the bar together with some nice bread. Recommend to order "Tabla de Embutidos".

La comida estaba muy rica. Buena relación calidad/precio. El comedor es pequeño pero muy acogedor y una decoración muy tradicional y bonita. Se pueden pedir raciones, carne y pescado. El problema que tuvimos fue que reservamos para las 14.30 y cuando llegamos nos dijeron que en 5 minutos podíamos pasar. Nos sentamos a las 15.05 (la reserva la hicimos con un mes de antelación).

I’m pretty sure we got ripped off here because we are tourists. This is the first time in 2 weeks in Spain that we got ripped off. The waiter knew we didn’t speak much Spanish and we got charged 70 euro for one steak and about 30 euro for a salad, we had 2waters, 1 beer and a glass of red wine and our bill was 103 euros. There are other reviews saying that they got charged 3 times more than the menu prices because they were tourists and that they noticed other tourists complaining about the same. Please stay away and don’t get ripped off by these guys. They should be ashamed. I would t do that to tourists in my business.

Went late and was advised of the bar shutting down early however, costumers next to us were given drinks & tapas but not us. Lots more around so please avoid. La bicha wins and stays opposite.

Please check the bill before you pay and ask for the price before you order! I ordered something from the menu (picadillo @€6.5) and when I got the bill the barman charged me a different price (€10). When I asked him why the price was different from the menu, he answered that the prices on the menu were not correct, and then he said that what I ordered was not for two people and because we were two he made a bigger plate and then charged me more w/o asking me first to see if it was ok. I don’t mind paying more if I’m told /asked in advance and I agree to it. The food was good but make sure you are charged the right price, if you ever eat /drink here.

Soy cliente esporádico de este local y siempre he comido bastante bien, e inclusive he recomendado en varias ocasiones este local para ir a comer. Pero hoy he ido a cenar y todo ha cambiado. La primera en la frente nos atienden un camarero muy desagradable y sobrado, con unas maneras que dejaban bastante que desear. Segundo nos pusieron una ración de pan que debía de llevar cortada desde por la mañana y ya estaba duro. Por último tenemos un entrecot para compartir el cual rezaba en la carta 500 g, y nos trajeron un filete de ternera que pesaría unos 200 gramos aproximadamente. Se lo comunicamos al camarero y dice que bueno que 500 g no pesaría pero que tampoco 200g, que no era para tanto. Por poner algo positivo que el pulpo estaba rico. No me gusta escribir reseñas negativas de locales emblemáticos de mi ciudad como buen leonés, pero reconozco que me avergüenza que venga gente a nuestra ciudad y les trate mal y encima les estafen como a nosotros hoy por la noche. Desde luego que de mí no van a volver a llevarse ni un solo euro, ni una sola recomendación. Les doy una estrella porque no me dejan darle cero.

These people can’t be trusted. They take advantage of tourists who speak poor Spanish. We ordered 4 dishes and I said, “queremos compartir” (we want to share). On the bill we were charged double for 2 of the dishes. We never asked for 2 dishes and they never suggested or asked if we wanted more than 1 dish. They also steered us to an expensive wine which is on me as I stupidly went with it. I read other reviews similar to ours about people being overcharged. Anyway the guy tried to shame me by telling me it’s my fault because I don’t speak Spanish. I live in Spain and in 99% of restaurants you are treated well and fairly. This place, despite the good food, is in the 1% of untrustworthy establishments.

Food is quite good, service alright. The staff speaks only a bit of english. Pretty expensive. Sadly, they try to make you pay for a lot more than you ordered. When asking about the price, they started talking a lot of spanish which we didn't understand and showed us different fish, which still didn't help in figuring out why the bill was so high. All in all wouldn't recommend.
