Had some tasty grilled fish tacos for lunch. Good bar set-up, nice selection of craft beer and my service was great.
Great food and atmosphere looks like it’d be a good place to go for happy hour also
Had to opportunity to eat here after the lunch period. Hardly anyone there so I guess I missed the lunch time crowd. We seated right away and server, forget her name, was on the spot. We got the fireshrimp as an appetizer. Was really impressed with the bed of lettuce it was on but nevertheless it was good. I got the Gumbo which was really good and the kids got Mac Cheese burger. They liked it. Overall I would come back here.
This place was delicious! I had the gumbo, it was delicious. My boyfriend had the BonBon Chicken & Shrimp the sauce was amazing! We both got two speciality margaritas and they were strong and really good. We also got the queso fries with the tree meats, (steak, chicken & shrimp) was delicious. The fries were hot and crispy. The shrimp on all of our dishes were fresh and cooked to perfection. We will be returning!!
Lovely decor and atmosphere; friendly, prompt staff; flavorful, well-seasoned food! Glad to have found this place and excited it's so close to home! I had and enjoyed the Bleu Shrimp and my partner had and enjoyed the Chicken & Biscuits -- white gravy did not disappoint! Bleu Shrimp entree was a delight of flavor.
My family went in for their Sunday Brunch which ends at 2:30 PM . We had a wait time of about 5 minutes. I got the Platter which came with 3 choices . My choices were the Bread Pudding French Toast , Fresh Fruit , and Scrambled Eggs .Everything was amazing! Out server was great , and our stay in the booth was comfortable. My entire family loved their meals. Although we went for brunch this time, keep in mind they have a huge selection for lunch and dinner as well that has been delicious as well.Overall , I would definitely check it out !
This place was the bomb! I ordered the gumbo with a strawberry margarita and everything was delicious. My server Juan ( I hope I’m spelling his name right) was awesome. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION!!! The atmosphere was very chill I actually sat there for hours without even realizing it. Definitely will back soon.
We really love this location! If you like a little heat the gumbo is to die for!! Mac n cheese balls are always a go to. Blackened chicken sandwhich is so good!! Food and service is always great. We also got the steak tacos and the steak was so tender! And also ordered the kids steak and it was surprisingly huge, tender, and cooked perfect. Their homemade ranch is AMAZING so we always get a salad as well!
First time here and no complaints from our party of 4. We had gumbo, shrimp poboy, Alfredo pasta and kids chicken tenders. Everything tasted good and I liked the variety on the menu. Waitress was pleasant and we enjoyed all the monkey decor. I would like to go back and try some other things on the menu
This was a great choice! My husband and I wanted a quick lunch on a Saturday. We arrived around noon. Were greeted and the front door and sat immediately. Chloe was our waitress and she greeted us immediately as well and was very friendly! I ordered a regular Bloody Mary and my husband ordered a Blue moon. Drinks were delivered within 2 minutes of ordering. Chloe brought us complimentary bread that was phenomenal and honestly tasted homemade. We decided to split the Bang Bang Pasta. Food also arrived very quickly. Pasta was delicious! Huge serving so we are glad we split it. Honestly we were taken care of and had our food and drinks within mere minutes of sitting down and were very impressed with the level of service for our first visit! We will 100% be back again!
First time visiting. Did a casual dinner with family and it was good but nothing noteworthy. Prices were good and service was fantastic. We had a variety of items but the Jambalaya was the best dish out of the entrees selected.
I’ve eaten here many times and the service is always great. The food is not my favorite but they do have some delicious options. The tamale cakes are a must have! Today I got the veggie omelette which wasn’t the best but that’s because I don’t like onions and it had a good amount of those. Overall I really like this restaurant but it’s definitely more of a dinner place.
Tried for the first time today. Enjoyed our shrimp pasta's but the bread pudding wasn't the taste I was looking for. There was a good portion and lots of ice cream and whipped cream. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Easy in and easy out with the light. I will be back . Lots more to try
Ok so i got the 3 dip appetizer, very tasty. I got the fish and chips, very good. The alfredo was also very good. The cheese pasta was 7/10, the cali chicken with mash potatos was quite good 8/10 comes with a sweet napa sauce. The chocolate cake wasnt great i wouldnt get it again. Service not great they forgot things and was stressful but they were busy so i understand. I thought the food was impressive. I will come back again for sure. Nice inside. I think Little Rock needed this restaurant. The fee everyone is referring to is weird for sure. Overall $100 for 4 adult entrees, an appetizer, 2 drinks and 1 extra side and dessert.
I've been here many times and have always had a great experience. The food is great and the staff is usually very friendly and attentive. If tonight had been our first visit, it would have been our last. When we arrived, the hostess was very friendly and seated us quickly. There was a large table and a couple other tables in our area with two servers that were very visible the entire time. We sat there about 10 minutes before the hostess came and asked us if we had been waited on yet. I told her no, and so she searched the restaurant and told us our server was coming. About 5 minutes later, our server slowly approaches our table in absolutely no rush and asks us for our drink order. I have no idea where she came from, but this was the first time I had seen her. Now under normal circumstances, this wouldn't have bothered me, but we had been there 15 minutes at this point. No "sorry for the wait" or any other kind of acknowledgement that anything was wrong. She took our drink order and quickly set down our drinks then ran off behind what I guess is the serving station for another 5 minutes. Didn't ask us if we wanted any appetizers or if we were ready to order. Just ran off and hid. When she came back out, she asked if we were ready to order, and I admit I was not very friendly when I said "we've been here 20 minutes, we've been ready!" She just said ok and I gave her two appetizers that I specified were appetizers, and my order. Of course, she asks what kind of meat we want on our nachos and so I asked my husband who had no idea and proceeded to open his menu back up. 20 minutes, and now you don't know if you want meat on the nachos you wanted? I'll be reviewing my husband next!!! We decided on no meat. She got ready to walk away and I told her that my husband and daughter would also like to order. She just said oh, and took their order. The appetizers came out and they were great. It seemed to take longer than usual, but I didn't think too much about it because I was hoping we could finally enjoy our dinner. We always get the Tamale Cakes. They are our favorite! They're a cake made from the outside of a tamale and topped with pico, avocado and some sauces. They're fantastic! My husband wanted the nachos. They're good, but in my opinion, nachos are nachos. I don't in any way want to make it sound like they are not good, they are. The food came out shortly after our appetizers which makes me think the appetizers were probably ready a while before she brought them out. Our food was fantastic! It always is. I warned everyone to drink slowly because we wouldn't be getting refills. I was correct. After we were finished eating, we sat there quite a while before she showed back up. She removed plates and she did ask if we needed a togo box. I said yes, and asked for the bill. She just nodded like she hadn't thought about that. My guess is she has to be new, but she doesn't appear to be ready to be on her own, and where was she for the first 15 minutes? Did they seat us in someone's section who went on break or something? Why did she not have the common courtesy to at least acknowledge that we were kept waiting for a long time when we appeared to be her only table? When she wasn't at our table, she was hiding behind the server station. When she did come out, she moved slowly like she really didn't care or maybe she didn't want to be there. The other servers were up moving almost the whole time. I've never experienced service this bad here. It's always been fantastic, even on busy nights. This is not the level of service I've come to appreciate at Bleu Monkey grill. We will be back, but I would not hesitate to leave if I was seated in her section again.
Since they opened, Bleu Monkey has been my favorite, especially for Sunday brunch. Their shrimp poboy has been the best in town, and I almost always order it, until today. The bread was either stale or had been microwaved. It was so tough, I couldn't cut my sandwich in half. I couldnt even chew some of the bread. I gave up and just at the filling. Previously, they loaded it with shrimp. Not so much anymore. It had half the amount of shrimp it normally hasand looked like a mess. At $18, I expected better. I expected the great sandwich I'm used to. Bitterly disappointed. Good $5 bloody Mary's though.
First visit to this restaurant and can't say we were very impressed. Ordered a burger with fries and a shrimp plate along with a couple of beers. The burger was bland and lacked seasoning and the fries were room temp and had no salt on them. The shrimp was over seasoned/coated and while they were warm, the beans and rice served with them were cold and not very tasty. The beer was priced well by restaurant standards. The staff was friendly and attentive for the most part. The place seemed to be clean. The restroom was bitterly cold (not sure if the heat is broken)
Came here for the first time today. The staff was friendly and professional and our server was excellent. Unfortunately, the food failed to meet expectations. My son and I ordered the chicken and waffles - the chicken was good, the waffle was dry and cakey, not crispy at all. I had 1/2 of a quarter. My husband got the Monte Cristo - bad idea. The sandwich was mostly wheat bread (not typical) and it was so thick! His meal was mostly bread. The cheese wasn’t even melted all the way through and the sad 1 slice of turkey and 1 slice of meat hurt our feelings even further. It was not good at all. Even our server didn’t recommend it. He was great though, by the way! Will we come back? Probably not because there SO MANY other great places to eat in Little Rock. It’s sad too because this place has the potential to be amazing!
Came here for the drinks originally. I had the “Monkey Margarita” & it was GOOD. My bf had the “King Kong”! 10/10 on the drinks! The food was some I’ll probably never order again..I had the “Bang bang Pasta” worst pasta I’ve ever had the noodles were literally slime & the shrimp wasn’t good at all! The crab cake was okay, & the wings were pretty good & a good size! The bread they bring to you and the oil that comes with it was YUCK! Overall the atmosphere, the greeters, & our waitress were really nice! I enjoyed the restaurant. The food wasn’t so good but we did enjoy our drinks :)
The food was alright and so were the drinks, nothing spectacular. However, the service was terrible. We were asked repeatedly what we ordered every time we were waited on and this happened at other tables as well. Server had his airpod in and didn't write anything down. It's fine to not write it down if you can remember it. Checked in very few times and we watched one table get up and leave after not being waited on after being seated. The number of tvs was nice for March Madness and they did change the channels when we got someone and asked. Not sure I would return.
We went to the Little Rock location on a Friday evening around 730. There was a small wait to be sat, but nothing major. After being sat, we waited about 10 minutes for a server to come by to at least say hi, what we got was one server who came by, nodded and walked off, then a few minutes later another server came by and said 'what do you want to drink'. It's like nobody really knew what was going on. After that hiccup, however, service was relatively decent, if not average. Food wise, I ordered the Razorback burger and my wife ordered the Shrimp Po Boy. We also ordered the bang bang shrimp and fried pickles as apps. The apps were actually pretty good, although once the pickles started to cool, they became a soggy mess of nasty. My burger, ordered medium, came out well done, dry, and really not all that good looking either. Due to the slow service, I didn't send it back -- thankfully I was full from the shrimp. The wife's po-boy was decent -- but it too was dry, lacking any sauce that one would expect on a po-boy. When we were ready to leave, our server went MIA after asking if we were ready for our check. Luckily a manager came by with a portable terminal so we could check out. As I was finishing checking out, the server came by with our check. Now here is why they are receiving 1 star, rather than the average 3 that they would otherwise deserve: Nowhere on the menu did it say there would be a 1.5% surcharge for using a card. Nor was there a sign anywhere visible near the front wait area. Of course, being as we never received a check, I can't tell you if it was listed there, but I doubt it. If you are going to charge a supplemental fee for something that should be included in your costs to begin with (because, lets face it, nobody pays restaurant checks with cash these days), then at least have the decency to post that you are cheap somewhere in the establishment. I refuse to trade with shady companies, and this is about as shady as it comes (hiding fees). So I doubt I will be back anytime soon unless the owners either stop charging this silly fee or be transparent about it up front before you even sit down.
