QUALITY. This word will accompany your dinner at Carapepana. A truly welcoming place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We stopped here for dinner on a Monday evening while passing through Loano. The staff were very kind and friendly. The fish was incredibly fresh. The desserts were exquisite, a perfect end to a meal. The mixed fried fish was excellent. Prices were in line with the food. For two, we spent €45. Impeccable service. I'd love to return for dinner in such a charming place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Amazing place for fresh seafood. We had fritto misto, fritto di calamari, and linguine vongole. Everything was fantastic, we paid 78 Eur for 3 adults and 4 kids.

A fantastic little place with freshly cooked traditional Ligurian food. We had excellent mixed fried fish (fritto misto) pasta in pesto sauce (troffie al pesto) and even the salad is fresh and crispy. Good value, good quality food and good wine! I went to this restaurant for dinner during my vacation. The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. The very nice and friendly young waitress had to manage a huge number of tables, resulting in an endless wait for every request: forks, napkins, bread, all requested over and over again, not to mention the parmesan cheese, which never arrived. In the end, we gave up and ate without it. Food is important, but so is service. I think at least another waiter would have been helpful.

I've known this delicatessen, which is also a restaurant, for a few years. I've never written a review about this place before, but while I've always liked it, this time I was a bit disappointed. I had the mussels, spaghetti allo scoglio, and fried calamari. The mussels and spaghetti were devoid of character! The mussels were supposed to be spicy, according to the waitress, but I didn't really notice any spiciness at all! The mussels were quite large, meaty, but lacked flavor, almost none at all. I was disappointed! Even the tomato used didn't taste much. The spaghetti was al dente, but the sauce wasn't very tasty either; let's just say I expected much more. The fried food, on the other hand, was good, not too greasy, but perhaps lacked a bit of salt. It's worth noting that they didn't have a stain remover, as one of us had requested it after a sauce stain, but unfortunately they didn't have one. What a shame. As compensation, we were offered an after-dinner drink, either limoncello or myrtle, which I think they do by default with all their customers.

Never again I'm staying in Loano and wanted to try this restaurant, so I ordered takeout: linguine allo scoglio, spaghetti allo scoglio, trofie al pesto, two mixed fried dishes, and fries. In the end, I paid €80 (because the prices are different from those on the website, obviously), pasta drowned in a mixture of water and oil, except for the trofie, which were raw. The fried food was mushy, tasteless, and cold like potatoes (P.S. the restaurant was two minutes from where I'm staying). I don't recommend it; I threw almost everything away. I'd give it zero stars, but that's just not possible. To respond to your comment: It's unfortunate how some restaurateurs, rather than trying to improve, find unimaginable excuses, like the fried food that needs to be "reheated," or the pasta with oil, which apparently also needs to be "reheated" (which, incidentally, you never said you needed to "reheat," partly because you found out about the review that I'm staying nearby). In any case, not even the infamous 74 euros would be worth the terrible quality of the food. Have a good day. Oh, and for the record, I remember very well, too, and he absolutely didn't tell me the food needed to be reheated.
