Went for the afternoon tea with two friends and was not disappointed. Not the biggest portions but you might expect that from a place like Kouzu. Lovely sushi, chicken and bitesize desserts, as well as a good range of teas to choose from. I went for Madagascan Chai and it was beautfiul (I asked for the brand and it is The Tea Makers of London)
Unbelievable excellent! If you like Japanese cuisine this is your place. Delicious and very well prepared dishes. Amazing cold sake. Great service. Cozy and romantic environment. Dessert that work it each bite. Make a reservation is recommended. Strongly recommend this restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious. Great price as I got it on Groupon. I would definitely go again
Visited Kouzu for my birthday last year and had the chefs table which in itself is an experience. Located behind the underground kitchen it adds a unique touch to the evening being able to watch them prepare your food first hand. The menu we had was a pre selected tasting menu and included all of my favourite dishes, all of which were prepared to perfection and presented by the chef himself. Highlight was the Soft shell Nanban and the Wagyu beef served on a hot griddle. Would highly recommend a visit and if possible reserving the chefs table.
Amazing food. Deliciously sushi. Was everything fantastic! Staff very friendly.
I highly recommend Kouzu London! The food and drinks are delicious, the environment, music and the staff very friendly and professional. Located near Victoria, very well connected and with a modern and beautiful interior. I went for my Birthday and they treated me very well, will come back!
The food and the service are really good. All very nice and good decoration and environment. A bit weird to listen Spanish music in a japanese restaurant, although.
Quite expensive but you get what you pay for... good food and service!
Extremely affordable sushi masterclass! Brilliant value for money. Would certainly visit again
Had a sushi and cocktail making class here. Amazing food and drinks and the people teaching are a good laugh and very knowledgeable!
Lovely and elegant place, beautiful and delicious Japanese food, and great service. Thank You
We went there for afternoon tea we loved it! For this price it was percect and the ambiance of restaurant is very well. You can go there for a romantic date! P.s they serve really good quality mochi!
Good service and lovely food. The decor is also really pretty and it’s air conditioned!!
amazing food and the attitude and attention to detail from the staff was stunning, beautiful evening. Thank you guys. will return.
Came for the Groupon set menu and enjoyed every bite! Can't wait to visit again.
Amazing 7 course tasting Menu and we have been in Japan. I Booked through Groupon.
Brilliant staff and incredible whiskey tasting experience
A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order to please you. All the menu is delicious and excellent. No word to say that sushi was awesome. If you have the opportunity to go eat there, do not hesitate ! These are some photos of the food served. :)
Attended as a group of 4. Phoned a day in advance. The interior decor was on point, really made for a nice relaxing meal. The service was excellent and all staff were extremely attentive, always checking to see if we were ok. We ordered close to half the menu and there wasn't a single bad item that we tasted. Surprisingly one of the highlights was the lamb chops and beef tartare. Both were well marinated and seasoned and melt in the mouth. The sushi itself was extremely well made and the flavour combinations well thought out. I definitely plan on returning here next time I come down to London. Thanks for making it such a great meal guys!
Went for Japanese afternoon tea and everything was so lovely we ordered extra sushi rolls! (Spicy Tuna & Tempura Prawn) The service was beyond perfect and the interior was lovely. Definitely coming back (hopefully soon!)👍🏻
Kouzu Restaurant was a great experience for me. Everything was seriously delicious! We tried edamame, spinach with white sesame sauce, tuna & salmon nigiri, Sushi rolls (dragon, lady in green, prawn tempura, cant remember the rest), grilled aubergine with red miso and ponzu sauce, Aki salad with chicken, mini-bbq and oriental beef tataki. All were delicious! LOOOOVEEED KOUZU, I will definitely go back this Japanese Restaurant.
Absolutely faultless place ! Food is just so phenomenal, fresh beyond belief mouth watering to be precise leaving you wanting to come back before you even left. Beautiful two moods set up, pristine service, I will say this is the number one Japanese food restaurant in the entire London. I have been here few times and will be coming back again soon. Just splendid.
A very classy nice Japanese restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service from mr.Hüseyin and rest of his team with a lot of attention to details on order to please you. No word to say that it was awesome food! The service always with a smile and very patient with us. If you have the opportunity to go eat there, do not hesitate !Thank you! Ivan
Took my girlfriend for a Birthday Lunch. We where sitting next to the Sushi Schefs on the 2nd floor (sushi bar). Generally excellent experience. The chefs where really great and friendly. We had a lovely time. The food was fantastic. Fresh and tasty! Highly recommended!! Definately going to go there for dinner again!!!
Very good Japanese restaurant. Service is very good and attentive, they have a very good variety of cocktails 🍸 they also offer cooking and cocktails mixing classes which is great. Located close to Victoria Station, nice decor and cosy atmosphere, great for a business lunch or dinner or a romantic meal with a special person. I highly recommend Kouzu.
Really enjoyed our meal here. The selection and quality of sushi was amazing, and would love to come again and try some of the other dishes too. The black cod was really fantastic.
Great night out whiskey tasting. Very knowledgable Excellent host. Food after was best sushi I've ever tasted. If you're not into fish. Excellent lamb chops.
Last night was fantastic me and my partner had a good time,The food was yummy and the atmosphere of the place was great. I would like to say thank you for Fatti the waiter you put a smile on our faces when you brought the birthday surprise.
🍙had a great 'truly experience' here. Whisky and sushi eating with getting to make my own sushi with my partner was so much fun and delicious. It's a place for adults and couples, but also somewhere you can get to know the staff and they're very responsiveness, kind and knowledgeable. It's somewhere I'd love to visit again.
An upper place Sushi restaurant. Well decorated with attention to the fine details. Wide range of whiskeys. You should definitely try the Japanese one, as they are superb. The sushi is very good and you can feel the good quality. The place is not so big and will recommend to book a table. Enjoy your evening ;)
The service here is immaculate and very personalised. Wonderful dining experience when I came here with my partner for a 7-course Michelin-star meal. Would definitely recommend this place for an intimate dining moment for family, friends and couples.
We did a whiskey tasting and then stayed for dinner afterwards. Great presentation of the three bottles they chose and a very good meal afterwards. One less star because the prices seemed slightly excessive.
Great afternoon tea. Would have liked slightly larger portion but good selection.
Slightly slow service, got cold tea at first.. Good food and nice atmosphere though.
Little bit boring the afternoon tea, friends boutght Groupon tickets. I imaged there are some matcha thing for afternoon tea but they haven't.
Went here for the 7-course tasting menu. I honestly don’t think it’s worth the price. The selection was ok, it tastes good but standard. The dishes that stood out were the spinach with sasame sauce and the veggie roll. I would probably come back for another try but order on regular menu.
A lovely place for meal. We came for my birthday treat from my friend gave me a Virgin Experience voucher. We really enjoyed the food, but the service was polite and a bit distance. It could be so much better if the waiter and waitress can be more smily and more passion and friendly. Otherwise, it's a nice place for dinning again!
The food was quite good. Waiting staff explained everything very well. The service was generally very good. Only gripe was that our original drinks order was fluffed, then our second drinks order was forgotten about. I put it down to the waiters maybe being understaffed or quite busy. But all in all, it was an alright experience, but the prices could be a bit lower.
The food was great, if a little pricey (hence the loss of one star)... We had the 7 course tasting menu and really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend though. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff too...
Probably the best sushi that I've had in my life. BUT incredibly expensive. Only a few customers there every time we went, and the price is probably why. Cocktails are quite tasty, but too much ice.
This place is interesting. Definitely sit upstairs, the decor is lovely. The Kouzu Special Rolls are exceptional, Lady in Green is very nice. We had the afternoon tea share boxes. Really unusual for an afternoon tea, made a nice change. One downside. You receive the full box at the same time, meaning by the time you eat the savoury part the Mochi ice-cream has melted which was a bit disappointing. The cheesecake made up for it (a little). Oh and the wine list was reasonably priced for a restaurant in this area.
Delightfully relaxed atmosphere (if a bit dimly lit) with timely service and pleasant staff. Although the sushi was good, it did not quite hit tier 1 levels. Definitely worth a visit, however, and I would recommend it for a nice bit of casual japanese dining.amongst friends.
This place was good. The little bites were worth the £20 between 2 that we got on groupon otherwise to be honest I would never spend the full amount of I think £40 for the tiny amount they do serve... although delicious. It was advertised as tea so i was expecting refillable tea at the least but it was one tea between 2 and can only be one flavour....so if coffee...then coffee for 2....if tea, then tea for 2....c'mon!!! 4 stars only
First time here, came for their afternoon tea. I rate 3 because it didn't impress me enough like the presentation and menu option wise.. It didn't feel me up unfortunately. But i do adore their kouzu butterfly logo and their exotic Madagascar tea option.
I can only judge this for the Groupon offer for their Japanese afternoon tea. the actual restaurant looks quite good but maybe a little pricy but I’d like to try it some day. The afternoon tea was a little disappointing and it was only just worth it because of the discount. At full price, it definitely would have scored lower. The items were nice but not enough! Good spin, but I think I prefer an English afternoon tea.
Fancy interior decoration but quite mediocre food. Bought the Groupon 7 course tasting menu, the spicy edamame and the spinach were quite tasty. The sushi was very average quality (can buy it from Wasabi with better value). Overall, you can get better food with this price at a lot of good Japanese restaurants in London.
Oh man - I went here for the groupon 7 course tasting menu with the girls. Don’t know if it was because it was a groupon or what but you really don’t expect to leave a 7 course meal still hungry. We did. We went next door for more sushi after we left. The staff were also pretty rude again I wasn’t sure if it was because we used groupon. If groupon leads to lesser service or quality it really defeats the point. The food was quite tasty, just way too little of it and then the bad service- I would never recommend this place to anyone, let alone return myself. What is the point of offering groupon if the aim is not to entice your customers to return for a fully priced second visit. :(
Uh... You're still closed, the sign on your door says you'll keep people updated on social media. Well your website doesn't say anything; your phone rings through to nothing; you don't reply to emails. Your booking system still works but doesn't send confirmation emails... AND you're still selling your Groupons! Are you actually going to reopen or is this money for nothing? Even if you are, it is shockingly poor customer service...
Terrible experience. Gone downhill since I last went there. It took the staff 45 minutes to figure out whether Sake was gluten free. Then we requested for something that didnt show up. We also discovered a blue plastic item in our food. The bathrooms were in a very sad state with no handwash in any of the bathrooms. Lastly, the manager was nowhere to be seen and even when we had a glimpse of him, he was busy on his phone. Not sure if it was a one off or of the company is going through performance issues but it was an evening totally wasted.
Bought a groupon for a 7-course dinner and the food was mediocre at best. Salmon was too dry, salad boring and aubergine needed spice and salt. Definitely not worth the price considering what else London has to offer. Personnel was nice.
