Opiniones de The Five Fields London
Delightful experience - we had the Saturday lunch tasting menu with the optional cheese course and a few glasses of wine. Great dishes exhibiting taste and finesse- particularly liked the fallow deer mains and the starter courses of Celeriac and Beetroot. Pleasant service and the bread kept coming… I loved the leisurely lunch and would look to be back!
Came for a lovely Saturday lunch with my husband and we had a great experience. Nuno and the front of house team were attentive and helpful, and every course was delicious and beautifully presented with impeccable attention to detail. Excellent modern British cuisine including seasonal and fresh ingredients!
My mom and I had an excellent experience at The Five Fields: our first time at a Michelin Star restaurant. From the moment you arrive it feels like a perfect hideaway behind one of those Indiana Jones-style magic bookcases. Understated but impressive. It’s impossible to pick a star dish, but our standouts had to be the scallop/beetroot and the dessert. The creme fraiche ice cream was an amazing way to end the meal. The chef’s flavor thru lines were so clear throughout and made it a delight to decipher each course. We were also delighted by the appropriately tiny forks and spoons for grabbing a perfect bite, and hefty steak knives (truly barely needed for the venison cut like butter). Every dish and utensil felt bespoke and made the experience feel so tailored. Warm dishes in cozy warm ceramic bowls, cold dishes on dainty plates. The service was more than worth the price tag as well, with all the waitstaff extremely attentive, engaging and friendly. They had great taste in wines we hadn’t tried before (shout out wine guy) and the rest of the dishes. I was afraid we might feel a bit un-fancy in this kind of place, but we felt right at home and so comfortable. Thank you everyone for an exceptional experience, we would love to come back again to experience more homegrown seasonal gems.
It was sheer luck to find this gem of a restaurant, thanks to Google, so here I am reviewing and returning the favor. From the minute I crossed the threshold, this unique experience became a refined feast for the senses. A warm welcome from Nuno, who showed me to my table for a lunch reservation (only served on Saturdays and fortunate me the only spot I had open during my stay). The sotto voce atmosphere of understated, refined elegance was just what I needed in the bustling holiday season. From the dried floral arrangements in muted fall colors, to the tile mural depicting cacao pods in relief, in honor to Hans Sloane (credited to have concocted chocolate as a beverage) everything in the dining room had a reason for being. The lunch menu was a festive parade of exquisite dishes, that far exceeded expectations. Their presentation was akin to displaying precious, high end jewelry served in French porcelain that complemented each portion, setting off their size, texture and color to delightful visual effects. From beginning to end, I felt like the last emperor being regaled with an extraordinary array of food that took consummate skill to prepare and more than that, poetic inspiration. If there is just one minor and dissonant note, is that I had a hard time understanding the verbal descriptions of what was being served. Not the professional staff's fault at all, it's just that I had not been exposed the variety of English pronunciations which are alive in London in particular. But that did not affect my thorough enjoyment of this exceptional lunch. My thanks to all the staff on the floor and behind the scenes. A shining, bright, well deserved star for each of your five fields.
Absolutely exceptional experience! The team delivered top-notch service from our arrival to departure. The tasting menu showcased impeccable execution, with each course boasting flavors that harmonized seamlessly. Choosing a favorite is a delightful challenge; they were all so incredibly delicious!
One of the most expensive meals I have had in London, but it didn’t disappoint! Menu is very creative and you can feel the passion for food and good ingredients from the dishes. Cannot fault the service at all, the lady that explained the dishes was kind and manager was very welcoming. Hope to be back soon!
Honestly the best meal we’ve had in 2023 and probably in our past 7 years in London (at least what we remember). The wine menu is extensive and the food was well thought through mixing textures wand flavors. Interesting wine pairing options! Cheese course is a must. My husband is a very picky eater and he enjoyed every course. It was a great way to celebrate his belated birthday and end 2023. Will be coming back with our parents
Everything was excellent in this resturant. I think it's the best Michelin restaurant I have been to so far in London, and we have been to many! The food presentation is like fine art .. taste was spotless. We went for the lunch menu and it's very reasonably priced. Wine was extraordinary. Cod and venison were also amazing.. we will go there again for sure.
The Five Fields In our lifetime we have enjoyed some amazing dining experiences but I have to say that on saturday our lunch at The Five Fields was simply outstanding. The food created by chefs Taylor , Marguerite , Robert and all the team was exceptional. The service from Sebastian , Sandra and Muriel was first class and sommelier Michaela recommended some fabulous wine that complimented each dish perfectly. Our afternoon started with a delightful welcome before being escorted to our table. Once settled we received a nice surprise as we were poured a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us back to the restaurant. We then looked at the menu while enjoying some Irish charcuterie. They only have one menu which is a 6 course Tasting Menu with a couple of supplemented dishes that is amazingly priced at just £95. The menu starts with a fabulous selection of snacks before your eyes and palate are in for a real treat because dish after dish that followed left us in amazement. The quality , the skill , the flavour and the presentation of each course just blew us away. If this wasn’t enough we had the honour of being treated to a couple of dishes from the evening menu in the form of the Asparagus and the Lobster. This personally is a restaurant that I would put at the top of your list because they are in every way an absolute credit to the hospitality industry. We have been coming for over eight years and each visit gets better and better. I hope the pics that follow give you the incentive to pick up the phone and make a reservation because believe me you won’t want to miss out. (1) Asparagus with buttermilk and chervil (2) Beetroot (3) Morels (4) Turbot with brassica brown butter and kalettes (5) Short Rib with potato and wild garlic dumpling (6) Lobster with broccoli and kohlrabi (7) Rhubarb (8) Asparagus spears with chilled soup (9) Cod with fig leaves and radishes (10) wine recommendations from Michaela. Thank You to all the team for a truly amazing dining experience and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
If I was able to give more than 5 Stars I will !!! Been in the UK for 8 years and I can say that it was the best culinary experience that I had. First, the service was amazing, you could tell the level of professionalism and knowledge, special mention to Sebastien, Nono and Murielle for making this experience unforgettable. Second, It was my boyfriend’s birthday, when we arrived he got a little birthday card, the menu was also personalised wishing him a happy birthday and he was allowed to have it as a souvenir at the end of the night. Third, the fruits, vegetables and even the honey come from their farm, making the experience even more meaningful. I highly recommend it! … when is the second Michelin Star? It is well-deserved
Excellent service and delicious food! Very comfortable environment, I like the light and elegant interior. We had the tasting menu, loved every course! Heard that they own a farm that supplies exclusive fresh ingredients. My favorite dish was the deer, amazing!
More and more people these days seem worried by a nice piece of linen draped over a table and are intimidated by friendly service if the staff are smartly dressed. If you are one of these people then you should avoid The Five Fields. If, however, you are capable of dealing with a table covered in a cloth, don't mind staff who let you know what dish they've just put in front of you and relish working with a friendly sommelier to discover new and exciting wines from around the world (think Riesling from Spain for example) then you should reserve a table here. Those who do will be rewarded with one of the finest meals available in London at the moment. Cooking is precise, combinations imaginative and flavours in turn bold and subtle. In addition to the superb wine list, those with a love of cocktails will not be disappointed. Service is friendly, professional and unobtrusive. Enjoy.
Amazing food and service. Super interesting menu, one of the best restaurants I’ve been in London and I like to go out to eat a lot. Special shout to Gabrielle who was our incredible waitress.
Stunning, just stunning. One of the very best tasting menus we’ve ever had and we’ve had many. From start to finish the service is absolutely fantastic. We had a leisurely, almost 4 hour dinner. We didn’t want it to end.
Great fine dining experience. A bit overpriced but overall excellent. The sommelier had great wine recommendations that were a perfect pairing. His knowledge of wine was exceptional
A delicious meal that started with plenty of amuse bouche, and a well balanced, well portioned tasting menu. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and the Chassagne Montrachet was perfectly paired with the seafood heavy menu. Topping this off was exceptional service that balanced servicing our needs and providing space for us to enjoy ourselves Highly recommend.
Celebrated birthday here - service, food, presentation were all wonderful. We tried the tasting menu at lunch, v fulfilling with great mix of seasonal herbs/ ingredients.
Thank you for the amazing experience! Every single dish tasted great and their serving style was like a beautiful performance which was so impressive. Definitely want to visit again.
What an amazing place. Been there a few times now and I can’t fault it. Being a gourmet person I had the chance to go to many places including Osteria Francescana etc and I believe I have the right to share my own opinion about it In simple words as Tina used to say… Simply the best! The food is fascinating, wine pairing is just perfect, service is amazing, staff are extremely genuine and professional…. What else to say Can’t wait to go there again
Delicious food, impeccable service and lovely atmosphere. Even though they offer a set tasting menu they accommodated my vegetarian and dairy intolerant diet. Simply fantastic
I would say this was easily the best meal I've ever had in my entire life. A very small restaurant. Only Twelve Tables and very personal service. I enjoyed the entire dining experience from beginning to end. When I return to London the five fields will be at the top of my list of restaurants. I would definitely recommend the tasting menu with or without the wine pairings. If they offer you the cheese course please take the cheese. The dessert was good but the only thing the left me wanting for more was our takeaway dessert. I have attached a couple pictures from some of the food we enjoyed. The atmosphere was perfect for a group of close friends or a date. Although the tables were small although the tables are small there was plenty of room to cozy up in enjoy a wonderful meal.
In general a quite good experience. The dishes were artistic and colourful. Tasty french restaurant which is cosy. I enjoyed the night.
Great tasting menu and wine pairings. Staff were lovely, polite and informative. On the pricey side but worth it for special treats.
A lovely restaurant with lovely people. I think we have been here 4 times and have enjoyed every visit. Food is well thought out and beautifully presented. Staff are always lovely and welcoming
The food is wonderful, the service is great and the wine recommended for our food is perfectly suited. The five field provides me the best free freshly baked bread which is better than any other Michelin restaurant in London. And the price is not that expensive given the quality of the food and bread provided. You won’t regret going there for sure!
I celebrated my birthday at The Five Fields with my family while visiting London, and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant exceeded all expectations—exquisite, extraordinary, and truly exceptional. To all the staff, thank you for your hard work and dedication; you’ve created an experience that will stay with me. I would love to return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience!
Needless to say the food is tremendous and the staff are truly wonderful. I loved the layout of the seating it makes the entire dining experience more inclusive and fun. Can't recommend enough.
Superb restaurant with thoughtful and delicious courses for each ingredient. The potatoes and cucumber were our favorites but honestly everything was wonderful. Staff were outstanding as well. Thank you for a great evening.
Small yet amazingly intimate restaurant, worthy of a 2nd Michelin Star! The food was better than some 3 Michelin restaurants that we didn’t rate so highly.
Fantastic restaurant. Excellent food, great service team. All round excellent Michelin start dining experience.
We ate their lunch set. The selection of food is excellent with produce from their garden. The dishes have a good mix of taste and textures. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
The stuffs are absolutely friendly. Food is very good, too. Will go back for sure.
This is a truly excellent restaurant with deeply imaginative and delicious food. Much of the produce comes from its own garden outside London - a nice touch. It is worthy of its Michelin star with an added touch: it’s also a nicely personal local Chelsea restaurant. Great staff - everyone. Bravo!
Had a lovely dinner at The Five Fields. We had the tasking menu which was versatile, tasty and well presented. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The staff was attentive. The food was well paced. The dishes themselves were very tasty, though some had somewhat similar aroma to them and weren't so original. The execution was excellent.
We were two couples enjoying an elaborate culinary experience. The use of high-quality ingredients combined with precise cooking at the highest levels. The service was perfect, and the hosts' flexibility to our needs was amazing. We are very happy to recommend it.
The simple elegance of the beautiful rooms of this restaurant hints at the exquisite dining experience patrons will encounter here. The service is impeccable and the food is sublime. Our last night in London before returning to Los Angeles was a spectacular one thanks to The Five Fields. We hope to return here on future London visits.
Having tried most of the top restaurants in London (some which perplexingly have more Michelin stars), this place stands out. Absolute perfection, the timing of the main after various courses and wine pairings made that first bite memorable. Unlike many where one or two courses are great, here every single course was fantastic. A must try for any foodie
Had the most incredibly fresh, flavoursome, textured varied tasting menu with mindblowingly good wine pairings. Loved how every detail had been considered including beautiful glassware and crockery which all added to our amazing experience. One of the best meals ever.
We visited The Five Fields in June and our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the warmth and professionalism from everyone on their team makes you feel right at home. The food was excellent and every dish delicately prepared so as to highlight the flavour of the fresh and seasonal produce. The restaurant manager, Sebastien, took excellent care of our table. At the end of the meal he kindly gave us a tour of the kitchen and the team were even kind enough to send us a copy of our menus from the evening through the post (To Paris!) These people understand the true essence of hospitality and we felt the passion in everything they do. Thank you again to the whole team!
Every visit to this restaurant leaves me genuinely impressed by the creative mastery of the chef, the inspired selections from the sommelier, and the impeccable professionalism of the entire staff. Each member of the team strikes the perfect balance of warmth and expertise, making every guest feel welcome and well cared for. I recently dined here with a friend visiting from Italy—both of us passionate about good food—and we left feeling thoroughly delighted by the experience. This place is a gem for food enthusiasts seeking both innovation and quality, and it never disappoints. Highly recommended!
An amazing experience here for my birthday back in September. Setting is beautiful in a quiet residential street not far from Sloane Square, the ambience in the restaurant is really nice & relaxing. Little touches like a birthday card being ready on my table & my menu having a personalised birthday message really set the tone. My wife & I both went for the tatsing menu and shared a bottle of wine, I won't give anything away ref the menu but every single course was amazing. The service absolutely second to none. We have been lucky enough to eat at a few Michelin starred restaurants now (including Core by Clare Smyth) and honestly this is up there with the best of them. A must visit for anybody who enjoys their fine dining.
We used the private room for our wedding lunch. The service was absolutely impeccable. We had the lunch tasting menu and it was so beautifully cooked that even picky eaters in our party were eating their 'dislikes' with glee as it was so creative. I can't recommend this restaurant enough x
This is one of the best restaurants in London. We have been going regularly since it opened and we have always had a fantastic meal. The food is amazing, the staff wonderful and the wine list excellent. You’re always made to very welcome and you’re never rushed. A must visit.
A wonderful restaurant. We always love to come back. The tasting menu is always a treat. However the noise level in the restaurant is very annoying. It is a pity that you can't talk to you partner in a low voice except you have to shout at each other to make yourself understand. Unfortunately in such ambiyou can't enjoy that wonderful created courses. As much as I wish Five Fields the success the more I would be happy that distinct food lovers would be there and not billionaire hyped people who just been there to be and have no idea between the difference of a McShake and a fine meal .
Creative dishes, very nice staff accommodating a mistake on my behalf. Highly recommend
Yummy food, nice decor and good service, what more can one ask for?
We went to The Five Fields and chose the set menu. I had the Jerusalem artichoke, fallow deer, and pear for dessert. At £80 (excluding service), the set menu felt fair enough, considering it’s a Michelin-starred restaurant. The food was good but nothing special – simple flavours, nicely balanced, and well-cooked. The bread was good, though if you’re hungry, you’ll need it as the portions on the set menu are quite small. If I went again, I’d try the tasting menu instead. The set menu feels like it’s trying to be a good deal while offering a tasting experience, but it doesn’t quite manage either. The cocktails were good, and the aged Negroni poured from a massive bottle was interesting. That said, at £16 (before service), it felt overpriced for what’s still quite a basic drink that I've had better ones in East London, even if it is aged. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable. They made sure we were looked after, but at one point, there were five people serving our table at once. It got a bit much, as we were constantly being interrupted. I imagine this is the sort of thing that helps them earn their Michelin star, but it felt over the top. With four of us at the table, it seemed like they’d prefer smaller groups of two, where there’s less chatting and more focus on the service. I wouldn’t recommend going as part of a group – it might just leave you feeling frustrated. I’d recommend this restaurant to tourists with money to spend who want a decent tasting experience (and aren't that hungry if opting for the set menu). Maybe also a special occasion if you’ve already been to other similar restaurants and want to try a new one. Even so, there are plenty of better options under £300 for two, that will leave you feeling more satisfied. Being in Sloane Square adds to the cost and appeals to people who like that area, which, as a Londoner, isn’t really my thing.
I was probably expecting something more from a Michelin star awarded restaurant. The food was good, much more than what you can usually get in London but I left the place with the sense that they were missing something. It’s straight forward, you go there to have good food, not to delight all your senses so I guess it depends on what you like. The dessert was delicious.
Food was good with an interesting concept where the whole course surrounds only one ingredient which showed the creativity and skills of the chef. However, I do not think their service was worth the 1 michelin star. When I walked in, no one greeted at the door and actually they looked surprised. I was first to arrive and the waiter just led me to the table - no one pulled the table or the chair which I thought was absurd - they have done this to other tables though. We were not expecting a birthday cake as some restaurants do not offer them, however , we noticed another table was offered a birthday cake. Waiters were unprofessional, the restaurant was not huge and I could hear them murmur/chitchatting at the background. The sommelier was the only staff that was up to standard. Would not recommend ordering wine pairing as the portions were so little. Would not come back. It was such a disappointing birthday dinner.
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on December 19th at 7:30 PM, ordering the 80 set menu with lobster and duck, totaling $232.75. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet my expectations. While I won’t judge the taste or portion sizes, the service was disappointing. Throughout the meal, no one cleaned the crumbs from our table, even though I saw the staff cleaning neighboring tables. I didn’t realize this was part of the service until I noticed it at the table next to ours. I understand one waiter may have had health issues, but the overall service didn’t justify the price. Although I was dissatisfied, I paid the full bill to avoid disrupting the atmosphere, but I feel the experience was not worth the cost. For this price, there are many other places that offer much better value,Because you will only get two dishes a few centimeters in size, like eating nothing.
