Everyone seems to hate this place but I like it. I really only get the General Tso's Chicken, but it's damn good and looks like real chicken too! I don't ever eat at the restaurant because it look highly unappealing, but the food is alway delivered timely and in good condition.

When you order delivery to a hotel I guess it’s too much to expect cutlery or napkins. Didn’t get soy sauce, orange sauce, or even a cookie! Food was good and fresh but took away a star because of the missing items.

Exactly what you would expect from your local Chinese takeout. I'm fond of their garlic sauce.

Egg roll was too fat,otherwise quantity is ok ,was delivered on schedule my chicken was not spicy ...and the beef was without flavour...i come from France therefore i did not try another one .

I wouldn't reccomend this place. Untimely delivery for at best mediocre food. And $12 per plate doesn't get you quality (or taste). I would suggest ordering your chinese food from a different place like Friendly's on 40th if you can.

food is okay, customer service needs a lot of improvement. The delivery man was very rude upon opening the door. I missed his call, but was soon alerted that he was outside, so I greeted him as I would anyone and the first thing he says, with and angry face is “why didn’t you answer??” and handed over my food as if he’d been waiting outside for days. This isn’t the first time the delivery man has been rude to me. The first time, I was hassled for a tip when I already tipped in the app. He wouldn’t not give me my food until I gave him a tip. I never have cash so I had to scramble for it or else he would’ve stood there all night. The people working here have a terrible attitude, I’ve never experience such a place like this. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on

If you want to pay someone to yell at you for no reason go to this place!!!! First of all the person who was there supposedly “serving” customers ignored me when I asked nicely about a dish then she started yelling at me publicly for no reason ! No utensils on a delivery order to a hotel! So we have food and no way to eat it. Come on man we’re traveling out of a suitcase. Hotel was the clue and a patron shouldn’t have to spell every single thing out. Just include utensils in a “to go order”. Frustrating.

The guy sneaked through the front desk, went up to 20th floor and was pushing flyers for this place under everybody's door. Such tactics reflect extremely poorly on the image and integrity of the restaurant. Not only I will make it a point never to go there, I suggest other's avoid it as well. Judging by the reviews the restaurant has some serious issues.

*Rated on Take-Out* Get your Chinese food elsewhere folks really. Needed comfort foot because I am feeling under the weather. Ordered the large Wonton Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Wings & Fried Wontons. ALL had no flavor, but let’s start with the fried wontons. They were still a fairly light color, soggy, but I could tell even though they were in a container with no poked holes, they weren’t fried very long. I had to put them in the air fryer for 10 minutes to get them crispy and somewhat browned. I also had to sprinkle some salt because they tasted like flavorless dough. Next, the soup was VERY yellow and the dumplings were so thick, not enjoyable. I had to put salt and soy sauce because without it, the soup tasted like I was drinking straight warm egg whites. The fried chicken wings were definitely fried, but not flavor, while they were still hot in their container, had to sprinkle salt. Terrible.

There are a million places to get Chinese food in New York City and I suggest that you order from any one of them other than Sam Lee Kitchen. Sam Lee Kitchen recently gave me what was (without question) the worst delivery experience I've ever encountered when ordering food. To be fair, this one star review has nothing to do with the quality of the food. I couldn't tell you if their food is good or not, as I never got the meal that I ordered. It was a Wednesday afternoon when my girlfriend and I decided to order from Sam Lee. We were preparing to go to a concert later that evening and elected save time by ordering in. Little did we know that our decision to get delivery from Sam Lee Kitchen would actually make us late for the show. According to the timestamp on my phone, I placed my order at 5:51 pm. The woman who took my order was anything but polite. She spoke only broken English, which I have no problem with, except for the fact that she got frustrated with me for not being able to understand her. She kept shouting the same question over and over - each time I politely asked her to rephrase it, and each time she simply shouted back the same unintelligible phrase louder than before. Finally I deciphered the word "number" and realized she was asking for my room number. After an hour and a half (not an exaggeration) our food still had not arrived, so I called back. A different woman answered the phone, I gave her my information, and she told me the delivery driver had left just a minute earlier with my order. I double-checked Google Maps and (even with the traffic) it should have taken the driver no more than 10 minutes to make the drive. Thirty minutes went by and my food still had not arrived. At this point it had literally been two hours since placing my order. We had a show to go to, so I called the restaurant back to express my frustration and cancel my order. The gentleman who took my call was rude and pushy. Despite telling him that I had to go, he kept insisting that I "just wait a few more minutes". Finally, after telling him for the 5th time that I no longer wanted the food, I hung up the phone. Having to wait more than two hours for a $20 Chinese food order is frustrating enough. However, I would have understood if someone had simply made the effort to communicate with me. When placing my order, they could have told me they were busy and that I would have a lengthy wait. But what I am most frustrated by was the second phone call, wherein it was obvious that they lied to me about the status of my order. The ineptitude and dishonesty of the employees at Sam Lee Kitchen did more than just ruin our dinner, it screwed up our plans for the evening. Like seriously it was a container full of rice. The egg rolls were horrible. They gave no duck sauce which meant I couldn’t even eat the container full of rice. My partner got general tsos which he didn’t enjoy cause it was dry. I got boneless spare ribs that were mostly sauce.
