Besides being known for its' appearance in the Rush Hour movie, it is a pretty unassuming restaurant in Chinatown. Traditional Chinese restaurant vibes and food. They have some photos of the cast back when they filmed the movie on the wall as well. The food is solid and I do not think you could go wrong here. The beef chow fun is not too saucy but still flavorful. The string beans have a decent crunch and the kung pao chicken is tender and delicious. I also need to call out how good the hot tea was. It reminded me of this dragon jasmine tea that I have loved in the past. We even got some to-go cups on the way out because it was just so good. Now for my standard comments. The location is clean and well kept. Comfortable indoor seating. There is an upstairs that you can check out but another floor that is cloesd off as well.

Foo Chow Restaurant is an absolute must-visit, especially if you’re a fan of classic movies. This iconic spot is where scenes from Rush Hour were filmed, and you can really feel that nostalgic, old-school vibe the moment you walk in. Beyond the movie history, the food is honestly so good. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and comforting, with generous portions that make the meal even more satisfying. The dishes come out hot and packed with authentic flavor, making it easy to see why this place has stood the test of time. Whether you’re here for the Rush Hour memories or just amazing Chinese food, Foo Chow delivers on both. Definitely a place worth coming back to again and again. 🍜✨

String beans are my favorite and the egg rolls are the absolute best. Perfect crunch. The jasmine tea to start is such a bonus. Cool seeing the Rush Hour history on the wall. Excellent stop for lunch and a great value.

Finally got a chance to stop by for lunch. Food is awesome. Loved their Orange Chicken and house special fried rice. I recommend it.

Food is good. Portions are huge. We overordered for three and could not complete it. Came here for the experience and knowing this was featured in Rush Hour.

I’m only came here to see the real life movie scene from Rush hour first one and I’m so happy that I find what I’m looking for and I love how they still have the Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in the photos

We had a 5 person group with each person ordering a different meal. The portions were large and the prices were well within reason. Everyone was impressed with their meal. We also did a bit of sharing and, again, impressed with each others meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like Chinese food.

Excellent food, highly recommend the Singaporean Rice Noodles. The ambiance was lovely with soft piano music. Meter parking is available nearby but I was able to find free parking on Yale (intersection: Yalle and College).

I did not expect the food to be well seasoned and so tasty. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, chow mein, pot stickers, and fried shrimp!! All of it was amazing. The service was also great with friendly staff. They are quick with the food and ensuring the tables are nice and clean. We also ended up drinking two kettles of Jasmine tea. Highly recommend. Did not get a chance to take a picture of the food because I was truly enjoying the moment. 10/10. Street parking or there are a few lots as well.

Food was amazing! We went because we are Rush Hour fans but the food was great. Parking isn't ideal, but we tried a few dishes and they were great. Chicken chow mein and the Kung pan were stand outs!

Food was amazing (large portions!!), service was fast and great. Hands down best chinese food I've had!!! You can park on the street for a few bucks or there's a parking area for $20 cash only. Definitely recommend!!

Great little place that's been around for decades. We went here for lunch and I had the best egg fu yung I've had anywhere in the country. Also bonus surprise, it's a filming location for the Jackie Chan movie Rush Hour.

The food here is actually incredible! Fresh, flavorful and enough to share. Added bonus that it's the backdrop to a famous Jackie Chan movie. I love how quickly the food comes out and the Kung Pao is unbeatable. This is definitely worth a stop if you're visiting. I recommend walking over to Phoenix Bakery afterwards for dessert.

Thought about it while thinking of Rush Hour scenes so I thought it would be cool to have lunch. Food was good and a good real live child hood memory while eating. Now if they was to stage Jun-tow as the cook that would def be dope!

I love our Chinese dinner at Foo-Chow Restaurant which was made famous for the 1998 blockbuster movie, Rush Hour with Jackie Chan as Lee and Chris Tucker as Carter. Of course, that's one way to celebrate the 27th anniversary when Rush Hour first premiered on September 18th, 1998. My parents and I really enjoyed the egg rolls, House Special Rice, and the eggplant the best! I can definitely remember the popular filming location in Chinatown forever!

Love the Rush Hour series so being able to watch in a restaurant from the movie was great. The food was great and the atmosphere was also really good. The waiter could’ve checked up on us more but other than that everything was great!

Fantastic Chinese food. I stopped in due to the fame of this restaurant being featured in the movie Rush Hour and was extremely impressed. I'll definitely be back the next time I am in LA. The service was very pleasant as well.

Amazing place to go enjoy some Chinese food. Every plate that I have tried is delicious. From the Chowmein, Rice, Chicken, Wonton soup, Mongolian Beef, Walnut Shrimp, and the veggies plate. You will return for more. Service is on point. There's 2 sections 1st floor and 2nd floor. It might look small, but it's comfortable. Also, it's the location where the movie RUSH HOUR was born. Live Long, Eat Healthy, and Explore all variety of cultures and their cuisine.

My friend and I visited the famous Foo Chow restaurant today and had a delicious meal. My friend ordered sweet and sour pork and I ordered sweet and sour shrimp. And we also ordered pork fried rice. Everything was amazing. We will visit again soon.

Best Chinese restaurant to have lunch at in this area if you are a fan of the movie “Rush Hour”! It’s a must see for your adventure to stop by. Food was cooked perfectly and the jasmine tea was on point and delicious.

We came here at 7 pm. There are 4 tables are being served and non of the guests are Chinese. Also they use fork and spoon rather than chopsticks. Kind of unusual Chinese restaurant to me

Pretty good traditional Chinese restaurant. Of course mostly known for its appearance in the first Rush Hour movie. This is a great place to visit history while enjoying good food. You start off with Jasmine tea and then I tired the egg rolls and seafood soup to start off. I then got the Half crispy duck, orange chicken, shrimp and broccoli, house special chow mein, and sliced fish with red wine sauce. Orange chicken had good flavor and the red wine sauce has a good herb flavor to it. The red wine isn't as intense like other cuisines that reduce it into a sauce so it isn't overpowering. Parking is street parking and there are lots around too. First floor makes it very wheelchair accessible and great for kids/family

Walnut Shrimp must to try!!! I wasn’t feeling atmosphere to be honest(probably it just me) kinda depressing. Food and service were good. Mongolian beef was kinda mid but I’d comeback to try something else I bet it’ll be good. Our order were ready in like 15 mins, portions are solid(one main dish and bowls of rice could easily feed 2)

Went there for chinese new year. It was pretty good. The food was tasty (although i do think the wings have too much breading). The salted shrimp was really yummy. Could pass on the steamed dumplings. The service was ok, which honestly is what to be expected on chinatown. The restaurant was definitely a bit dated.

It was kinda cool to eat at the famous Rush Hour restaurant, however it needs to be updated. It’s a little old and outdated. The food was good and it’s served family style meaning large portions. We got the dinner special with included a wonton soup, shrimp, vegetable egg roll and the main entree and rice. My husband and I shared the beef and broccoli and the shrimp and veggies. There was so much left over that I even had enough for lunch and dinner the next day!

We went in because my family was visiting and wanted to try this place because of the movie. They are Rush Hour fans and had just watched the movie. I only had egg rolls myself, and they were nice and crispy, sweet and sour sauce was on point too. Others had orange chicken and dumplings, both good. Ambiance not much but nice to compare to the movie scenes and saw cool photos of that time on the wall. Nearby businesses were closed or closed down mostly. Visited on a Tuesday around 3pm, no wait.

Everyone was very nice. We got aTo go order. The tsao chicken was bland and a little bitter. The duck was dry. The eggplant was flavorless. The hot and sour soup was slimy but also lacked flavor.

The man that waited on us was very friendly. Overall, I did not enjoy my meal. The spring rolls had a nice crisp on the outside but the inside was too mushy and a bit slimy to us. We sent them back. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli lunch. The egg drop soup was good but I was disappointed that they did not have crispy noodles. The meal was pretty bland. The broccoli and the shrimp could have been cooked a little longer. The meal was $13.
