First time in California and first time trying Korean BBQ and I made the best restaurant choice! The servers made it so easy to understand the menu and they cook the food right in front of you! The pork belly is perfect. I was very impressed. Will definitely make a stop here my next visit!

It was one of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever been to. Felt like a fancy restaurant. The servers cook you kbbq. The side dishes were pretty cool, well portioned and interesting to try different ones. I’m from Korea and felt the food was authentic. I ordered the combo A (served 2 people) which comes with kbbq, tofu soup, bibimbap and japchae. Everything was amazing. I’m only visiting LA but I wish to dine here next time I come to LA.

If you're willing to splurge on a meal and craving for Korean BBQ, no need to look any further (unless you rather go further into K-town). We live like a few blocks away and hubs and I (mostly me) were craving Korean BBQ and we spontaneously went and hoped we could get a table w/o reservation. We got here around 3:30pm on a Saturday and got lucky after the lunch and before the dinner rush. Delicious and excellent quality meat (for the price I'm paying, it better be!). Service was great, can't complain. I love to try as many things as I can when I visit a place and of course, the 2 of us ordered a 3 person course meal (B course)! I was expecting we would be paying for like 5-10 slices max amount of meat but was surprised when we got a whole plate of meat! Meats, bibimbop, appetizers and even the house salad along with soju was an amazing and fulfilling linner. We made sandwiches with the leftover meats and so mouthwatering.... Yummmmmmmm

We have been here many times and it is always a fun experience. It is amazing to be here, enjoy their food and their creations. The meat quality is outstanding the service is super polite and helpful and every single time we try something new and we are always impressed. This is not this usual all you can eat garbage. This is high quality food with high quality ingredients. You have to plan to wait to be seated if you don’t have a reservation. Very highly recommended.

High quality food and high quality service is Genwa KBBQ forte. That being said, there is a high price to pay. The wife and I decided on course A: serves 2 people and includes house salad, japchae (glass noodles), one galbi (marinated Short rib), and choice of a second meat (Various choices), we chose chicken bulgogi, a sizzling bimbimbap plate and sundubu. All for $105. We also got a separate bottle of Nigori sake (small 375 ml $19). For me, the biggest hit was the bimbimbap. Excellent crispy rice on the bottom of the platter with great flavors. My only disappointment was the singular short rib. For $105, i thought at least 2 short ribs plus another meat would be more beneficial for a two person entree, but we are in LA. Anyhow, inside the place is pretty big with PLENTY of tables, service is spot on. Could be family friendly, but barely enough room for strollers and parking isn't good (again we're in LA) adjacent to the joint is a parking garage, but the attendant was not letting us park there for some reason or another so we ended up parking across the street. Genwa is a good place to eat and chill, but I'm not a 1%er so this would be spot to getting only if I'm in the area. Happy eats!

One of my favorites....excellent food and customer service. The let you sample and bring to your table lots of small dishes and you can get refills......Meat quality is very good, and the service is impeccable. Complementary parking in the structure or you can park on the street near Coffee Bean. I highly recommend.

Fantastic Meat barbeque, soup is very light and delecious, their food is big, if you are 5 person, you can order foozd for 4 person, think about 1 person less for order. Because too much appatizers.

A more upscale KBBQ experience! There's a lot of construction on Wilshire near here so it's a pain driving. They do have a parking garage next to it as well since street parking is not really feasible at the moment. Perfect for a date night! Recommend doing the A Course for 2 instead of doing all-a-carte. You'll get a good amount of food! The banchan was really good and they had so many options!! They cook for you also so you won't need to worry about doing it yourself. We went with the bulgolgi and galbi and were really happy with the quality. Overall great service too and would come back for a special occasion or another date night!

We came here for Christmas! Various side dishes for free! Three of us ordered a A courses which usually for 2. However, we were still really full! High quality of meats! We also ordered a steamed egg, highly recommended! We had two cocktails, both of them were low % alcohol! I am guessing less than 3%….But this is only thing I can complain of. Services was fine. A little bit rush in the beginning. (They put half of our meat in once.) Maybe that’s Korean style? Since we are not Korean, not sure this is normal or not. For parking, they only have valet parking. You may find spots on the street. We found the one is free after 11 am. Still, like other comments, pricey but meats and small dishes might be worth for celebrating any special day!

One of the best Korean BBQ spots in LA. The ingredients here are top-notch and the seasoning is on point. Course A was more than enough food for two people, but we still ordered an extra order of galbijjim. Without a doubt, the best galbijjim we've had. Extremely tender and seasoned well. Even the person with orthodontics could chew it without issue. About the only downside is that you really gotta plan your banchan properly. They've got a great variety of veggies, but since they're all fermented with salt, it feels like you're giving yourself hypertension halfway through a meal if you're not eating them in the right order. Definitely drink water or maybe order a sweet cocktail to offset the salt.

This place. I hate to admit that it is good. The food is good. The banchan is good. It's just insultingly expensive and I'm afraid to say that as good as it is, it is not worth the money. For 2 people, we split one of the 2 people sets, a bottle of soju, corn cheese and a dessert. We each paid $150. It was just mind boggling, especially for not all you can. The corn cheese was great but small, and it was $20. The dessert was the most insulting. It was literally a choco pie with some mid ice cream at $15. Again, the food is at least better than average quality. But yeah, avoid - go to K town, get something equitable for less.
