This place is so good 😋 Thankfully they have a lunch special buffet and it includes a different variety of Indian cuisine. I paid $19.95 which isn't as bad compared to other restaurants in the area and this is a BUFFET! They give you the choice to pick between garlic naan or regular naan bread. Overall I recommend checking this place out if you're in the area
My husband and I have been doing to Nizam for their amazing lunch buffet for years. Not only is it affordable; the food is always fresh and tasty. In the photos below, you can see some of my favorite dishes on the plate featured: Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag, Saffron Rice, and Raita. I also LOVE their dessert, Gulab Jamun. The staff is always friendly and happy to see you (they definitely know us!) Plus, it is a great place to treat family and friends. We also enjoy the atmosphere and find the seating comfortable. Many fond memories have been made here and hopefully, will continue to be made.
The place could have used a bit of a face lift, but the service and food were excellent!!! We ordered the mango lassi, mixed veg grill, Naan, rice, raita, baigan bartha for the main course and gulab jamuns for dessert. Parking was fairly easy to find that day we went because it was a holiday. All of that for an economical $52.00 including taxes in a post covid world in Beverly Jill's no less!!
Really delicious buffet style Indian food! I loved the variation of sides and the flavor of everything
I was using the restaurant for the first time and I was not too sure what to expect . I previously went to Jaipur on Pico but their consistent rude & unfriendly attitude made me try Nizam . My order was to go . I ordered Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka Masala , Samosas , Pakoras , Aloo Gobhi , ( 2 orders each ) ,rice and Garlic Naan . Everything was very very good , tasty and decent portions for the price . I do not understand how others criticized the food as nobody can cook one day excellent food and the other day v bad one . We and our guests loved it . The lady I placed the order with & picked it up from was extremely nice & friendly . I think you still find restaurants who have great food & excellent customer service . Definitely this would be our place for Indian food . I strongly recommend it.
This place is so good!! This is our go to for Indian food. We'd been looking for a good Indian place for a while and this one ticked all the boxes. Everything is so good and they have a solid lunch buffet.
Been coming here since 2010. One of my favorite places in LA! My colleagues and I would always come here for lunch from Culver City and always get in trouble for taking a long lunch! I love the flavors here. I’ve been to other Indian buffets as well but this one has a special place in my heart. Dunno how they make their saag corn but it’s addictive. Their aloo gobi, chicken tikka masala are all extremely flavorful. Seasonally they have the best mangos which you never see anywhere else. Service is always swift and attentive. Absolutely a gem.
we came from Washington state, my family decided to eat something lighter because we got tired of eating chicken and mutton almost every other day, we got veggie thali , so this was my first time in punjabi restaurant, and i can't explain my experience went so well, the service was great, the food was so yummy, specially with home made makhan . i wish i could just come every day to try different things but we had to go back, but will come back
This place is a well maintained Indian lunch buffett, run by a family without outside workers. Very hygiene and neat. Serves best Mango Lassi and Lamb curry. Can see few beautiful idols and wall paintings around.

My wife and I love this place, our first date here 9 year I was under pressure to win her over and the meal surely made it for me
I have been coming to this restaurant every time I visit the city. The food is absolutely delicious, some of the best Indian food I have ever had. I have had a wide range of food on the menu and has never disappointed! The service was great and the interior is very comforting. I always look forward coming to this restaurant!
Check out their amazing lunch buffet daily from 11am-3pm with a variety of options. I have been coming here for years. The owner is very friendly & food is top notch.
If you’re in the UCLA or Hollywood area and craving Indian food, this restaurant is a fantastic option. The buffet offers a wide variety of non-vegetarian dishes, all flavorful and well-prepared. The owner couple is friendly and welcoming.
Nizam Indian Restaurant is one of our family’s favorite spots in West LA! The food is consistently delicious and full of authentic flavor. We always look forward to the Cheesy Naan, Peas Pulao, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Aloo Gobhi—but the true standout for us is the Shrimp Malabar. It’s absolutely outstanding and keeps us coming back every time. A must-visit for anyone who loves great Indian cuisine!
This is where I regularly order Indian takeout from. A lot of other local Indian places don't have authentic flavors but this one does, at least for their entrees / takeout. (I haven't had their lunch buffet so can't comment on that.) Also their spice levels can get very spicy (think Thai food spicy!)
I wish this place was busier more often. I’ve been going to their lunch buffet since I was a child. It has good variation in terms of flavors and proteins, as well as great vegetarian/vegan Indian classics. The spice levels are varied but never very extreme. The food is super flavorful and has a good variety. They give you naan with the buffet. My favorites are the aloo gobi, saag, and goat curry. And, of course, the gulab jamun. The atmosphere is very quiet, even with many patrons, and the staff are very kind. This is definitely a place that deserves to stay open because it’s a treat every time I come.

Really good Indian food, you can ask for a different level of spiciness and that is a great thing for me. You can't go wrong ordering from them.
The food is excellent, it's a family run restaurant with very kind attentive service. Good for locals.
Lunch Buffet r review: : The curry goat was tasty, though I think the dishes overall could be made a little milder so more people can enjoy them. For an Indian lunch buffet, it was disappointing to see pre-made Chinese egg rolls instead of traditional samosas. On the positive side, the waitress was very nice, and the buffet price is quite reasonable — though at the end of the day, it still feels like just a price point rather than a standout experience. Overall, I’d call it an average buffet with a few good touches, but room for improvement.
I must say I have ate a couple different indian places in westwood area. This was my least FAVORITE out of the 3 so far. Presentation was great, customer service was nice..but the food I feel was lacking a bit of flavor? Tomato soup was very plain almost (watery) and mint sauce was plain aswell along with couple other items. I guess comapring it with the other Indian buffets it's in the middle. Will i go back? .... Perhaps not but worth a try !
Visited once and orderd matar paneer and roti. Didn't really liked it much, matar paneer was just ok. Roti was quite hard. May be other dishes are fine, will provably visit again to try something else.

It’s really unfortunate that they cannot come up with a consistent spice level for mild, medium, and spicy. I have been ordering and coming here for about 15 years and I think I have finally had it. We try to order medium every time because that’s what we want—medium. But it ranges from so spicy I can’t even eat it to so mild it’s tasteless. It’s too bad bc the food is otherwise very good. I don’t understand why it’s so hard. Measure it.
