Opiniones de El Corner Madrid
Grandisimo descubrimiento.
You need to book in advance; it's a very pleasant place to go with family, friends, or your partner. The house tortilla is excellent, and the patatas bravas are fantastic. I want to keep trying more tapas; this makes for a very good dinner. The value for money is good; it came to less than €20 per person for three generous portions of tapas.
I visited this place recently and the experience was excellent in every way. From the moment we arrived, the waiters treated us with a kindness and professionalism that is evident in every detail. They were always attentive, prompt in their service, and always smiling, making the stay even more enjoyable. The food is of outstanding quality: fresh, well-presented products with a flavor that demonstrates the care taken in the kitchen. Every dish we tried was perfect, with generous and well-balanced portions. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also impressive: clean, comfortable, and with a cozy decor that invites you to linger. You can tell this is a place where they care about giving the best to their customers, both in their service and in what they offer on the table. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place to which I will return without hesitation.
I'm surprised by this restaurant's low rating based on my experience. I came here on a Tuesday at lunchtime and left very happy. The place is very cozy (which is appreciated considering how cold it is in December), the service was good, and we loved everything we ordered. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake.
Such a nice place to dine in! We had some drinks with complimentary appetizers, nice ones to say so. The waiter Andres was friendly but in general all the guys were very attentive and professional. Totally recommended! If you don't go there you are definitely missing one of the best restaurants in the area. Thank you for making my night :))
Very good atmosphere, stuff and most importantly, food. Special thanks to Nikita for the professional but friendly service.
The restaurant is very nice. The food is delicious. I'm not giving it 5 stars because they were rude when we reserved seats inside on the sofa by phone, and when we arrived they had given them to other people for no reason. They left us right in the middle of the table, even though we had specified our preferred spot. The price-quality ratio for the location was €30 per person. The portions were also average, verging on small for the price.
A great place for tapas or a full meal. Friendly and welcoming service, plus a nice terrace, bar, and dining room. The patatas bravas are delicious, as are the croquettes. The torreznos are also good, and the tortilla de patatas is one of the few that are actually cooked—you've been warned! The best dessert is the cheesecake; it's baked and absolutely delicious.
I've been there several times for coffee because it's very good and the service is quite good. The staff is very friendly, all of them. We've tried the cheesecake several times, and it's good. Today I went for the first time at lunchtime. I made a reservation, but they didn't tell me that reservations don't allow you to order the daily menu. It bothered us a little, but the guy was really kind about explaining it to us, and we stayed. We ordered the corner burger, simple but delicious. It came with fries, and they were cooked to perfection. The price is good. I'll be back to try other things.
The prices are high for the amount served, but the truth is that the food is good and well presented. The service could be improved in terms of dietary restrictions. We had to check several times what we ordered and were served by three different waiters; they didn't seem very attentive (although they were very friendly, nonetheless). The atmosphere is fine. When they serve meat cooked on the stone, even if it's not at your table, you might end up smelling like it all day, but oh well.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service from the waiters is excellent. It also has a spacious terrace. Overall, the food is delicious, and the croquettes are fantastic. The waiter warned us that the pig's ear is served in a rather unusual way... Even so, we decided to try it. I have to admit it was our least favorite dish; we found it very cloying, and the presentation wasn't very appealing. We'll be back because we were eager to try the hamburger, which looked amazing.
A modern place with classic but updated dishes. The portions are just right, and the quality is good. The wine list is original and offers good value for money. The tables are spacious, which is appreciated given the current situation. The waiters are quick and attentive. We were hoping to try the octopus, but they were out. So we'll definitely be back!
Well decorated and good quality... Portions are reasonable in price, the service is attentive, but you have to get used to the place and its products. The croquettes are good, the rejos are well-battered, the salmon tartar isn't worth ordering, the bravas are okay... The beer is best bottled; the tap wine isn't well-managed at the moment. Good wines
To know if the food is good, you have to take a chance, because you won't know from the appetizer alone. In this neighborhood, we have countless places that serve a good appetizer, enticing you to try their menu. This particular place didn't win me over, even though the interior is cozy.
We went for dinner yesterday, a group of five. I was there last year and I really loved it, so taking advantage of a special occasion and being in the area, we didn't hesitate to book there. This visit was a bit of a disappointment, to be honest. We had a reservation for 9:30, and everything started well, with the drinks arriving on time and the waiter being very pleasant. We ordered four "portions" for five people, asked how the portions were, and were told it was fine, and that we could order more later if we wanted, which we accepted. We started with a salad, which was very good, then some squid tentacles, which were smaller than last year, but we didn't mind because they were still good. The pig's ear, I have to say, was spectacular. I liked it when I came last year, but this year... truly exquisite. A whole ear, crispy, tender, and full of flavor. The waiter cut it up for us at the table (which is a nice touch). And to finish, they brought us cuttlefish. That's when I was surprised, since a cuttlefish dish costs 15 euros, and I understand that cuttlefish isn't cheap at the market, but the portion was quite small for the price. It was good, though, a bit salty, but good. As for the service... well, being in the business myself, I understand that it can be a busy day, because they had all the tables occupied inside, and anyone can make a mistake (myself included). My brother had to order the same Coca-Cola twice, with 10-15 minutes passing between each call to the waiter. Something quite curious happened when they cleared our last course, and they didn't ask us anything at all, not how we were, or if we wanted dessert, coffee, etc. (In my mind, they were going to clear the table and then come back, which didn't happen). We waited between half an hour and forty-five minutes, and nothing. I was surprised to see the tables that had arrived later than us not only receiving dessert, but the waiter was also asking them for feedback on their meal. In the end, we asked for the bill (there was a 20-cent error on the bread, which, if the meal had been to our liking, I wouldn't have minded; in fact, I might have left a larger tip, but the service didn't warrant it) and we left. Another issue was that in the reservation, we indicated that some people in our party had allergies (soy, shellfish, and nuts), and not only did they not ask, but the menu didn't list the allergens. I hope you will take this review into consideration. I'm not writing it to disparage the restaurant in any way. As I said, the food is good, and the atmosphere is pleasant, but there are details one expects when dining out, which were lacking here. We felt completely neglected by the waiters. What can I say? When we left, they didn't ask either; there was only one waiter at the bar, who obviously hadn't left it. I don't usually write many reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. Thank you very much.
I'm not giving it a zero because Google doesn't let you. Just skip the trip. We ordered the tuna tartar and had to send it back. It wasn't tartar, it didn't even taste like tuna (it even seemed overcooked and poorly cut). The tuna ribs were stiff, and the omelet... the worst I've ever eaten, made half-heartedly. I won't go back.
