Un lugar sin más para tomar algo, lo único bueno que dejan entrar perros por eso le doy la puntuación. Le pongo tres estrellas ya que ni siquiera ponen algo con las cervezas o las copas…tampoco una triste rodaja de limón.

El bar esta bien ambientado, clasico y la cerveza esta buena. Abajo el sotano y la fiesta es otro mundo. La barra esta estallada y atiende una sola persona, un olor a pis tipico de antro que te moris y la musica muy bizarra. Abajo recomiendo tomar solo cerveza (que seguro esta caliente) y no tragos, porque dudo de la limpieza de los vasos. Nos reimos muchisimo. No tuvimos problemas para entrar (pagamos).

En serio, QUE PONGAN FUTBOL A TODO VOLUMEN… el “flow” a la porra en pocos segundos. Una cerveza con mis cascos y adiós…

This place is a long shot from the Australian pub that it used to be. They still serve Foster's beer, but the decoration has a more poppish, kitsch look, in tune with the general atmosphere of the neighborhood of Malasaña, and so does the clientele. Drinks are rather expensive and on the smallish side, to give you an example: a "caña" (or glass if beer) goes for 5 euros. The main place is still reminiscent of a pub, the basement is more of a club- discotheque. On the plus side: the waitresses are rather nice looking.

this place is good if you want drink a beer, during the week, without stay for a long time, since the pub closed at 3. According to me the best of the place is the live music, but the only problem is that the bands play in the basement that is small and really crowd on saturday.

Es un clásico de la zona pero el camarero joven es bastante impertinente. Para tomar una cerveza hay mejores sitios cerca y más baratos

Beers are quite expensive (7€ for 50cl). 4€ for a small beer. The barman was not friendly at all. Would not return. Tables are very sticky and dirty.

El lugar está guay y las chicas que atienden en la barra muy buena onda, pero termino siendo una experiencia terrible por los hombres de la puerta. Fuimos por nochevieja, estuvimos desde las 20 tomando allí (dejamos bastante dinero) una de mis amigas salió a fumar y los tipos de la puerta no la dejaban volver a entrar si no les pagaba una entrada de 20 euros, todo de manera muy violenta. Los pagó pero igual decidimos irnos, y al salir y decirles a estos hombres que era por ese motivo que nos fuimos empezaron a violentarnos, terminaron empujándome sin sentido, aún no entiendo como llegaron a eso, y pegándole a mi pareja, a mi amigo hasta le rajaron la remera. Nunca había vivido una experiencia así. Claramente haré la denuncia policial. Tristísimo comenzar el año de esta manera por esta gente.

El trato por parte de los porteros deja mucho que desear. Despues de estar dentro un buen grupo de amigos, sales a fumar y te quieren hacer pagar por volver a entrar, y con muy malas maneras

Me acaban de echar del lugar el chico moreno creo q rs de Marruecos, llebaba rato en la barra según el no me había visto ,fui con mi perrito de 3 kilos en brazos me dijo q no me atendia por estar con mi perrito cuando cuando soy del barrio y allí e ido muchas veces sin problema me dijonq tenía q irme q mala atención

I've been living in Malasaña for almost 6 years and take pride in being a part of this vibrant barrio, knowing the people and the places quite well as I'm a very outgoing person. Freeway is really one of my favorite bars of all time, not just in Malasaña but in general as it's just such a good vibe and mix of bar upstairs and dance floor downstairs. This is the type of place that I normally wouldn't leave a review for because it'd obviously be 5 stars and I'd prefer to keep the hype down and try to not let it go too much to the tourists. Unfortunately the bouncer has some serious insecurities (I'm assuming) that leads him to be overly aggressive and inappropriate. I'm honestly afraid for my fellow party people that could potentially be physically hurt by this man. I know bouncers are not generally the most articulate or gentle people in the world but this one takes the cake and honestly is just concerning. Other than that Freeway is a Malasaña staple and always a great time, highly recommend just beware of the bouncer. He usually only shows up Friday and Saturday starting at 10:30pm. A heavy set man about 185cm tall. Fellow party people beware.

Sometimes this place has just the most awful DJ ?! I’ve been before and it’s playing amazing classics that you can sing and dance along to... then I’ve been (and left!) a few times where the DJ is just playing the worst mix of repetitive beat music?! I don’t understand this place and its vibe!
