Ayer siendo un día caótico en Madrid encontramos este bar muy céntrico dónde tuvimos la suerte de que estaba tranquilo, servicio rápido y comida muy buena aparte de económica para los precios que hay por allí. Recalcar la amabilidad de la camarera Ana que fue un encanto con nosotros, se agradece mucho encontrar un lugar así y más con un servicio excelente.

I had breakfast in this bar twice in different trips. The place is an authentic spanish bar in the heart of Madrid. I orderered the ¨andalusian toast¨, toast bread with olive oil, tomato and serrano ham, and they prepare it delicious! the staff is kind, so I would go any time when I stop by Madrid.

My first trip to Madrid, I had to kill some time before the hotel checkin. I was walking around the Plaza Mayor when I stumbed upon Leon V and the friendly staff didn't complain that I had already my beverage and allowed me to seat on one of their tables to try the "Calamar a Andalusia" i . I didn't want all the bread of the famous Bocadillo de Calamari and this option was more expensive but it had a lot more of the big Calamari slices! So tender and tasty! Totally worth 😋 It was also fried to perfection without greasy pieces. The tables outside were also dog friendly ❤🐕

Accidentally ended up here while looking for BrunchIt. Nice outdoor seating area with shade/sun or both depending on the weather and your preference. Plenty of locals enjoying tomato toast and coffee. I had a generous slice of Spanish omelette and bread with coffee for 5€.

We came across this restaurant whilst strolling the city for a coffee in the morning and later decided to return for dinner on the way back. It was a great experience after falling for some tourist traps prior. Run by two brothers they made us feel like regular locals which felt very welcoming touch. We noticed the restaurant was selling large volumes of "Bocata de Calamares" but chose instead the deep fried baby squid and a paella knowing that it is not a Madrid dish but this is still Spain and it was prepared over 1/2 hour or more so it was not the pre frozen type and it was awesome. Would definitely return.

This summer during our vacation in Madrid one of the most beautiful restaurant we visited was Leon V restaurant. The restaurant was amazing and we adored with taste of food a beautiful atmosphere. The staff were very nice and were very fast with the order. The food was amazing and very fresh.the prices are very affordable for everyone.I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place if you ever go to Madrid. You won’t regret it.

Coming out of the plaza, we suddenly see crowds of people with calamari sandwich on their hands. We quickly concluded that this must be the place to try this famous calamari sandwich! So off we went to get ours and it was pretty good. Calamari was cooked perfectly, not chewy at all, we did ask for mayo because it'd feel dry without it but definitely star is the bread, just wonderfully warm and soft, ties it all perfectly together!

We were hungry after a 2.5 hour walking tour of the Centro of Madrid, after searching google for a decent lunch for a decent price to no avail. I decided to trust my intuition and look for a terrace slightly busy (always a good sign) and with a ‘menu del dia’ available. As we’re residents of Barcelona, we are familiar with the ‘menu del dia’, a set lunch menu, for a set price, usually a starter, a main, a drink and a dessert or coffee. So that’s exactly what we did. And highly worth it. I had all the food in the photographs plus a beer and a coffee for 11.50€ also with very friendly service from the waitress. Tasty food, in an awesome locations and honest and genuine service and prices. Great!

Bocata de calamares muy rico por 4,50 en la terracita de la plaza de Santa Cruz. Para tomar un descanso de la caminata por Madrid.

Paramos a tomar unos calamares y unos pimientos de Padrón porque todos los sitios estaban llenos un sábado por la noche. Sin mucha ilusión. Pero nos sorprendió la calidad de la comida, bien preparada y excelente, así como la amabilidad del servicio. Recomendable para zona plaza Mayor.

not bad, food was decent, they let us come in quite late for a weekday in august and their kitchen was closing so i really appreciate that. definitely better priced than a lot of tourist traps around the area. some plates are a bit pricy like the croquetas but they’re not bad at all. torreznos in my opinion could be better for the price. bravas mixtas were a highlight, some of the best, great sauces and not badly priced for the quantity. all in all if you’re stuck around here at night around the area like we were it’s not a bad option, but there are many local bars like this in less touristy areas for sure that are around half the price of this.

Comí una Paella individual, su precio fue de 14 euros. El sabor estuvo bueno, pero pensé que podía venir un poco mas de lo que me sirvieron. Es una capa delgadita de arroz y un par de calamares, pero como digo de sabor bueno. Quedé con una sensación que pudo haber sido mejor.

Calidad de la comida un poco bajo, pedimos patatas bravas y la salsa era simplemente tomate, el bocadillo de calamares sin más y finalmente un plato de jamón y queso, este último estaba muy rico. Servicio bien, esta cerca de la plaza mayor y el ambiente es tranquilo

La calidad de la comida es muy baja, menú muy barato 13,50€.. 3 platos.. muy barato.. mejor que suban precio y mejoren la calidad de los alimentos porque es difícil comerse lo que te ponen. Las natillas adjunto foto, parecían cemento. El servicio los chicos muy majetes… me atendieron muy tarde.. con su mejor disposición.

En mi última visita a Madrid, visité este restaurante me senté en su terraza y pedí las típicas patatas bravas .. error las patatas bravas más malas que he comido en mi vida, quien les ha enseñado ha hacer estas patatas bravas ? Un bocata de calamar bueno que por el precio calamar no es pero aceptable se puede comer . Creo que hay muchos más sitios en Madrid Centro al que se puede ir y probar este tipo de comida tradicional pero en este sitio NO !

Estuve en la terraza con un amigo y nos pedimos unas patatas bravas para acompañar las cañas. Las patatas tenían un regustillo un tanto raro pero no le hicimos en menor caso. GRAVE ERROR. No se cuantas veces se ha reusado el aceite de freír o que otras cosas se fíen ahí pero ambos nos intoxicamos con la comida. Ahorraré los detalles de después pero no hubieron suficientes manzanillas para curar eso. Esto espero que sirva como nota para revisar los aceites y las contaminaciones cruzadas. Una pena la verdad.

Lousy food, lousy treatment. They try to sell a menu price and it is half menu, if you tell the waiters they appear as a mob gang. Unpleasant, almost precooked dishes that try to pass for “homemade” or “traditional”. One of the worst in the area. Watch out.
