This is one of the best places in Madrid to enjoy authentic Asturian cuisine in a refined and elegant setting. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming yet sophisticated, with traditional touches that highlight its northern Spanish roots. The menu is full of Asturian specialties, and everything we tried was outstanding. The fabada asturiana was rich, hearty, and full of flavor, easily one of the best I’ve had outside of Asturias. The seafood was incredibly fresh — we tried the merluza and the pulpo, both beautifully prepared and presented. The portions are generous but balanced, and you can tell the ingredients are top quality. Service was excellent throughout our meal. The staff is attentive, professional, and very knowledgeable about the menu, happy to suggest the best wine pairings and guide us through the traditional dishes. It felt like more than just dinner — it was a genuine cultural experience. The restaurant itself is elegant and spacious, making it perfect for a special dinner, family gathering, or even a business meal. It combines the comfort of Asturian home cooking with the sophistication of fine dining in Madrid. Absolutely worth a visit.
Teitu in Madrid was a great experience. The service was genuinely friendly and professional, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious from start to finish. A special mention goes to the Russian salad with tuna (ensaladilla rusa con bonito)—simple, but incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. The setting is traditional and comfortable, ideal for enjoying northern Spanish cuisine at an easy pace. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Mindblowing Food! Jamon melts in your mouth, octopus was very tender and juicy, Tomahawk steak was one of the best I tried and I know what I’m talking about. Service was fine, nothing extraordinary, did the job. I think this is more „local“ and less touristic place, which is cool. Recommended for enjoyable food experiences
We ate here twice in our 4 day stay. Staff spoke English and French. They're known for their apple Cider. We like dry Cider. It was good. Had the lamb chops. Good but not great. Husband had octopus and enjoyed it. Don't bother with their bread. Both nights it was stale.
Everything was excellent, from the service and staff to the timing of the courses, including the starter, main dish, and dessert. Trying the cachopo here is an absolute must! it was incredibly delicious and full of flavor. I’d definitely love to come back and try more dishes from their menu.
What a wonderful experience for our 1st meal in Madrid. The food selection filled everyone expecting, and the service was over the top. The vibrant inside dining was beyond expectations. Then the food , wow the food, ordered mussels, prepared 2 ways, superp, my wife the vegetarian was pleased, the food allergies handled and the desserts, wow. I thought the price for a full meal for all was extremely reasonable... Knowing we were Americans, I was reminded the tip was not included. They were super happy with a 10% gratuity. I slipped the expeditor his own tip in cash. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel H10, and it did not disappoint.
Booked to meet some friends as they moved back to Madrid. Restaurant was out stand out from our trip to Madrid. Great welcoming by all the staff, impecable service and fantastic food and top selection of wines. It was a perfect day out. Gracias team, I will be back every time I am back in Madrid 🙏
Excellent steak, although. I would recommend ordering medium well if you want anything close to medium. I ordered medium and it was rare. But amazing. I loved it. This fillet came with a duck faux fras gravy that was lovely .The Russian salad with tuna is basically potato salad with tuna, but again the very best potato salad Ive ever had(sorry hon) the desert was a rice pudding. When it was delivered it looked just like a creme brulee, the top has been glazed, but underneath is a lovely light cool rice pudding. Easily the best Ive ever had. If I was able to live here I would come back and try their tomahawk steak and other beef enterees as they look and smell amazing. This place has the feel of an old steak house. I loved it. However be careful is you have sensitivities. They allow smoking inside, service is basically in demand which seems to be typical in Madrid. Wait staff here leave you alone until you ask for something, they don't hover like Americans do. I like it, but it does take some adjustment.
Great cuisine and wonderful atmosphere. In addition, they open as early as 19:30 and have at least one fantastic server speaking English. We didn't know "rare" in our standard is "medium" in Spain, but they promptly regrilled our steak to medium rare at our request. Their beef tartare was one of the best I have ever had - to confess, I AM a big fan of that raw meat. I ordered asparagus because I missed beef tartare, but it was good as well. We all left here full and satisfied. Our hotel concierge recommended this place and his professional advice was just perfect. Seeing Asturian eaves decorated inside the restaurant was also palatable to me.
Visited in August with my husband & son after touring the Bernabèu stadium Just happened to walk past, looked very nice so decided to go in for a meal, early evening. Didn't need to book.

We both enjoyed our cava cocktail, appetizers, and the veal and garlic dish. Delicious and tender! Generous portions.

Croquetas, chorizo y pulpo. Seguimos con dos carnes. Lomo madurado y solomillo. El primero incomible. El segundo más de lo mismo. Patatas a medio hacer.
This is a cozy and charming restaurant. It’s a shame I have to write this negative review. I do hope the owners of the restaurant see this review. They have some terrible employees bringing this lovely restaurant down. We checked in with the barman for our 6:15pm reservation on Jan 22. He rudely said we did not have a reservation since he did not see our name written down in their reservation log. We had email confirmation of our reservation. He said it didn’t matter that he would be able to seat us. He took us to the dining area and pointed to two tables that were available. We asked if we could sit in one of the booth tables instead. He said they were being held for people with reservations. We told him we have a reservation. He rudely pointed to the same two tables and said that is all that is available and rudely walked away. We were left to seat ourselves. Nobody was ever seated in any of the booths throughout the night. They were empty all throughout our dinner. There is no reason they could not have sat us there. Between the rude barman and the terrible waitress, it really made for a terrible dining experience. The waitress only had four tables, three of which only had two people per table. It was a very slow night. She was missing most of the night. Our water and wine glasses were never refilled. We had to serve our own water and wine. Not to mention they ran out of Tomahawk steak. We were there for the Tomahawk steak. We should have left then. We managed to flag down another waitress whom informed us our waitress was on her lunch break. She said she would help us. We asked for a dessert menu. We ordered dessert. Dessert was served. We finished dessert and again we had no waitress. We had to flag down the same waitress again. We asked where our waitress was. She informed us she had gone home for the night. We were left without a waitress, really? This is hands down the worst dining experience we have ever had. This restaurant is very poorly managed. My husband and I are both foodies and we travel extensively. This is the absolute worst restaurant we have ever gone to. It’s really unfortunate because it’s a very cute and cozy restaurant. The braised octopus was simply delicious. The Rib steak was cooked to perfection. The grilled asparagus was tasty. The cheesecake was amazingly light. To add insult to injury when we received our 169,05 bill there was a 5.50 charge that we did not recognize. My husband asked about the charge and the waitress said it was for the bread. We told her we did not have bread. She then said it was for the change of plates. We had octopus as an appetizer and then ordered steak for our entrees. Why we were not given appetizer plates is beyond me. The fact that they had the nerve to apply a charge to bring us a clean plate for our entrees is just plain incompetence. The service was beyond despicable. If the barman and waitress were my employees they would be fired. I managed to take a photo of the two of them in hopes the owner will see this review. Please find some better employees that actually care about their job and providing a good customer experience. These two employees are simply horrific. They ruined our dinner. Seems they hate their job. Because of them we will never return. The barman is the worst of the two. He needs an attitude adjustment. His non-caring, arrogant, narcissistic attitude shines through loud and clear. He is a very poor representation of this establishment. When he saw me take the picture he came right over to see if he could be of assistance. I am sure he figured out I was going to report him. There was nothing he could do at that point. The damage had been done. On our way out a man that showed up in a suit appeared to work there. I thought he might be the manager. I told him they need to do better as we walked out the door. What a nightmare of a night. Just plain awful! Foodies beware!
Horrible experience. Foie gras had a weird aftertaste. Tomato salad was drowned in sour dressing. Overpriced. So disappointed.
The service was terrible we drank a bottle of wine and they couldn’t even get two beers out for the guys….”let alone tapas even after reminding the waiter twice
