Hometown bar with good food, people, and drinks. Come for the beer, stay for the laughs and great folks.
Babs from mad dog radio will tell you what a gem it is .
Shivani is the greatest bartender ever and this place is the coolest. Quack!
I don't know about the past owners but I went in and had no problem what so ever.
Fun place night bartender Yimmy is da best...2 thumbs up..
Ahhh, the Duck Inn... Talk about the sweetest little bar in town where you can still chill out to tunes on a Juke Box, grab a brew. Paul, the owner, is very nice and doesn't hesitate to make sure you are feeling at home and has a story or two to share. It's a great bar where the "Pour" is respectable and the price tag is very reasonable. It's like a Mamaroneck "Cheers". So, if you're in the Mamaroneck area and just want to get away... don't forget to "Duck Inn".
The Duck Inn, owned by an entertaining man named Jack, is a fantastic place to stop for a cold drink or light fare if you find yourself in Mamaroneck New York. A good selection of beer, both draft and bottle and a wide variety of Spirits to mix to your taste or neat if that is your pleasure. Good music and lively conversation, a great alternative to clubbing on the weekend would be spending the morning at the beach ( just across the street) at Harbor Island and "Duck in" for a cocktail in the afternoon.
Great local crowd. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. Laid back atmosphere. All sorts of kitschy duck memorabilia!
Best dive bar in town. Lovely crowd and nice bartenders. Always enjoy going there to hang out, talk and chill.
Sara wrote a whole story about how she was offended by a song. I already love this bar. Stay great duck inn. 👍
This was my first visitand I was glad to see the noise level wasn't over the top. However the sound system is, when you play the jukebox get ready for some good sound and it's linked to TouchTunes app thankfully. There are approximately six or seven TV'S. A multitude of beers on tap. The bartender Jimmy is an awesome guy and you can tell he cares about your experience there, he also mixes a good drink. Clientele are quiet, not rowdy, and best of all the prices are right! Highly recommend!
Some of the other reviews on this page make me smile. Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.

Irish food is yummy good juke box. A good place to tie one on.
July, 2012------ The Duck Inn is a neighborhood bar in the true sense of the word: many local regulars mix easily with first timers in it's time-worn decor. The Duck motif is taken to surreal extremes, including their signature drink, The Fluffy Duck. ----- It's located at the foot of Mamaroneck Avenue by the entrance to Harbor Island Park, so parking is easier than farther up the Avenue, especially on weekends. ----- They recently introduced a bar menu with the typical items, and they have occasional specials like mussels. The burgers are truly Olympic size. Free homemade potatochips appear on the bar. Of course they serve Guinness. ----- Thursday night is Open Mic Jam Night, when local musicians set up to play blues, r&b and rock. New blood is welcome. Other live bands are booked irregularly. ----- Play some darts and watch a ballgame with a draft beer.
Varies with the crowd, but generally a fun, simple place with engaging staff (or the hilariously cuckoo owner, Jack) for when you are feeling a bit more serious about downing a few. Music ranges from death metal to Whitney Houston. Depends on who is Manning the juke box!

We were there in early April in 2013 on a Saturday night. The young lady bartender with dark hair, seemed more interested in talking than serving me and my group. And if we were able to get our orders in she had too much trouble getting it correct. We had to leave when it became only moderately busy. It was too much for her to keep up with the clienteles orders.
Barmaid was inappropriate and unprofessional, crown was pretty roudy and had to watch a middle age couple get to second base...Pretty uncomfortable. It was cheap though.

While sitting at the bar here one evening, an extremely offensive anti-homosexual song was played (entitled "That S*** Ain't Right). As I looked to see which small-minded individual had played such music, it turned out to be the owner himself. I asked if he had played it and he affirmed my suspicion. I asked if he could skip the song as I found it inappropriate and distasteful. I was told that I was being ignorant and that the owner could play whatever music he wanted in his bar. Of course he can. He can play any music he wants and deny service to whomever he pleases. I understand that other people have different beliefs than I do. However, as a patron of this establishment, I was asking the owner that he not make me feel uncomfortable and simply pass on to the next track. I was asking the owner himself to not be forced to listen to anti-homosexual propaganda as I enjoyed a drink in his bar. I was then told that if I don't like it, I can leave. The owner looked right at me, and shook his head in definitive agreement. I am not contesting the bar owner's rights to do what he did. My point in sharing this is to make others aware of how I was treated at this place. I find the owner to be quite disrespectful, as he is clearly more interested in his right to play offensive music at his own bar than catering to his customers. He purposely created a hostile environment. And finally, he made the clear implication that his bar was not friendly to the homosexual community or those who support them.
