Opiniones de Ocean View Cafe Manhattan Beach
If you’re looking for a place that truly feels like home and offers a beautiful view, this is the spot in Manhattan Beach. This cute, family-owned restaurant delivers incredible hospitality and amazing food. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, the chilaquiles were especially delicious and had that perfect homemade flavor. My family also loved the waffles, and the portions were generous and satisfying. The latte was good for a non coffee specialty location. The orange juice is freshly squeezed, amazing. A wonderful place to enjoy great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.
8-21-25 Visit: Healthy, delicious Mediterranean lunch! Outdoor patio with beautiful view of Manhattan Beach. Memorable experience, good vibes, prompt customer service by the owner. Had their "Mediterranean Sampler" & roast chicken. Patio area was clean, lots of flowers, literally butterflies hovering around. My hotel "Hyatt LAX" concierge, recommended this laid-back South Bay community for an afternoon lunch & walk on beach.10min walk to beach, Pier & "The Strand".
I admire and appreciate any eatery that doesn’t exploit its envious environment by scrimping on quality. Here you get what its name advertises, with the bonus of fresh and filling food and fast, friendly service (I came on a high-traffic holiday Saturday and got my OJ & breaky burrito in a few minutes) in a pretention-free oasis. The cafe’s petite patio overlooking the Pacific is pleasantly low-key with locals (💗SoBay 4eva!) and few obvious tourists, tucked around the corner from the main drag. You’ll want to come again. I do!
The owner and staff are kind, fun and attentive. The view & atmosphere were soothing & so beautiful overlooking the ocean. The food was great! I had the shrimp with the owners “secret” sauce and it was so good, my partner had the fish tacos. I cleaned out the container of sauce. I can’t wait for the owner to get it in store or online. I highly recommend
Nice place off the Main Street, with an ocean view. Food was average, friendly staff. I recommend the shrimp cocktail - go for the large 👌
Such a cute location! Definitely family run with great vibes. If you want some amazing green chilaquiles this is the only spot in Manhattan Beach. Blueberry pancakes were killer too. Very fast service
WOW! what a hidden gem of a restaurant. My friend wanted to have breakfast near the beach, and I found Ocean View Cafe online, and it did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff, and we were given the chance to choose our table. The waitress came to our table and offered us something to drink. We opted for a cup of regular coffee. Within a couple of minutes, she served us the hottest and fresh-brewed cup of coffee. We shared a Felipe Omelet with lots of chicken breast strips, bacon, and cheese. The egg was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, and nice and fluffy in the inside. And, the Pesto Chicken sandwich with pasta salad. The sandwich was good, but the star of the plate was the pasta salad. It was cooked al dente with a slight bite in a delicate pesto sauce. Afterward, we took a quick walk to the beach. HIGHLY recommend the Ocean View Cafe.
Friendly place. Waiters Fabiola recommended chilaquiles and it was perfect. Chilaquiles. First time eating them with green and red sauce as they’re always spicy. Not here. You order it that way but for me it was perfect. Love the latte. Will try this place again. Give it a try. The view is beautiful. Manager/owner cool gentleman
Loved this little spot with the ocean view. We almost went to the restaurant next door by accident! The ceviche was really good. My fiancé and I shared that and the eggs Benedict and I wasn’t a huge fan but he was. He literally said he would order it again, although I would not at all… I’m curious about the Chilaquiles and will probably come back for that. We also like that it’s family owned and operated.
First class! Hands down the best breakfast/lunch I have had in long time. The view is stunning. The atmosphere, music spot on. Great service. Smiling faces. Kind, polite and welcoming. On top of that the food is amazing, won't need dinner today most likely. Thank you, guys, well done
Family owned little cafe with an amazing view. Friendly service. Ordered the Ocean View Omelet and 7 grain Belgian Waffle. Great Lavazza coffee. Short walk to the beach. Perfect way to start the morning.
My birthday lunch was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone was nice and friendly and the service was beyond satisfactory. I even received a pancake with fruit and whipped cream when they found out it was my birthday. Thanks for making my special day even more wonderful!

Great location (parking was a bit rough on Sunday around 1pm). Nice that it seems family ran. Food is okay. Guess you could say it’s traditional homemade style, but pretty pricey for what it was. Not the healthiest, which I understand doesn’t seem like the goal here. But cute. Great service.
I loved the place near the beach. It’s a very small local café with a great ocean view and a long waiting time. Good food & great service.
Food was good and can't beat the view. Not quite 5 stars though. Eggs Benedict with ham was really good. But their Ocean View Salad was mediocre. Their Baja Burrito was really good, but a little dry. Would have been one of the best I've had if they had some pico de gallo. Finding parking is a joke too, but not their fault. I would definitely come back, but mid-week and I'd bring my own salsa 😀
Two out of three dishes were delicious! The burrito had way too much tomato so it was way too watery. The chilaquiles were bomb! And the bagel was good! I admire their kids helping however, they for sure need a bit more professionalism, not in a negative way at all, but at the end of the day, as the host, you want the first good impression.

I went there with my friend on Saturday for the breakfast, wasn’t too crowded. The view for the ocean was amazing, but the survey was not as good, cuz the lady being rude kinda, she came and brought the check , we paid, tipped 20%. I haven’t seen my fried for 4 years and I just wanted to talk to her, but the lady didn’t stop coming and coming like, you’ve done your food, so free up the table 🤦♀️. The coffee was good, I’m not picky at all, but the omelette didn’t taste good, and the chicken had no flavor at all.

Lovely partial ocean views with very friendly yet very inattentive inattentive service. Plastic chairs are not comfortable and tables are small. Didn't notice the B rating until after we ordered or we would have left. Chilaquiles were tasty as promised by our server, but the carne asada was way oversalted while conversely the beans had no salt. Their neighbor's gardener showed up with a leaf blower and completely ruined my meal, with dirt and debris but it wasn't very good to begin with anyway. That omelet didn't have nearly enough cheese and the spinach was added raw & unseasoned just ike the tasteless eggs. We felt the food was overpriced for the lack of quality. There are far better options in Manhattan Beach. The staff was so nice so I hope they take this to heart and make some simple improvements to improve the experience for future guests. Oh, also the patio umbrellas overlap to create a makeshift patio cover so it would be difficult for them to lower an umbrella for you to hav direct sunshine if that's what you're seeking.

This morning we went to Ocean View Cafe. Our friend was taking the pic and other friend came a few minutes after. But guess what they charged 29.05 for service for 6 people. They count my baby that I shared a meal with him and even brought my own plate for him. That’s very disappointing, they also charged more for the tip than what we gave.

Food flavor was average. Service good. Nice view. Very overpriced - chilaquiles, an order of eggs and chorizo, and two coffee was $78 with 20% tip.

Came here for brunch with friends. The location is nice, close to the beach, and the atmosphere is okay. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and didn’t meet our expectations. On top of that, they charge a service fee in addition to tipping, which felt unnecessary. Overall, not the best experience. I probably wouldn’t return for the food.
