May 2024 Our hotel recommended this charming place for delicious food in the Brera district, which is lovely at night. The restaurant has a nice outdoor dining area. The service was attentive and very kind. The food and wine were exceptional. The bread selection was perfect. I enjoyed the yellow-seeded bread and sadly had to resist having more so I wouldn’t spoil my appetite. The Casanova di Nero 2019 paired well with our meal. The steak tartare was by far the best we’ve EVER had, it was seriously that good. The meat was so fresh and tender and the portion was very generous. They shaved an aromatic summer truffle and topped it with a delectable burrata. The risotto with veal marrow was heavenly. The seafood linguini was cooked perfectly, and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Even the espresso was made with love. This is our new favorite Milanese restaurant and we can’t wait to return. Update Nov 2024, we came back and didn’t have as wonderful of an experience as the first time, but it was still very good. Didn’t love the dishes we had, tuna, pasta with truffle, schnitzel. Everything was fine, but definitely not the same wow experience as the first time. We also had a horrible table. The seat was dirty and had hair all over it. I guess they didn’t recognize we were repeat customers even though we made our reservation several months in advance. Our friends came a week prior and they had an amazing experience. Hopefully it was just an off night for us. I will still give them another chance next time we’re back. But I will have the hotel make a reservation instead of us as we definitely get better service when they do.

Booked a reservation here through the Fork since it had good reviews. The service was very good, along with the food. My favourite dish was the starter. The Osso bucco was cooked very well and tender, but I think I just don't prefer the traditional seasonings as I found it a bit bland. The wine selection here is massive and a bit overwhelming, but the server was able to help us choose a bottle that suited our tastes. The interior of the restaurant itself was very classy.

Truly 5/5 experience. The food was incredible and very tasty. I highly recommend the Milanese. The service was incredible, fast and snappy. Bread was brought out as soon as we sat down. The table olive oil was high quality and very tasty. Wine service was also great. There is high coperto but it’s well worth it. The atmosphere is elegant but not overly done, very tasteful setting.

Our group of four were a walk-in and we were so happy they were able to accommodate us! We sat outside and it was a lovely night. The wine that was suggested to us was fantastic! The food was so good! I had the black truffle pasta which was divine! It's so nice to eat in Italy where we aren't rushed. Unlike America where I live. We just had a great night talking, eating, and sipping on wine. I highly recommend!

We found this place by chance after visiting the castle grounds. Luckily we were able to book a table via Google. The place is occupied by locals with a gorgeous view of an interior courtyard. The menu is lovely with a great variety of dishes and Italian classics. We had a lovely time during lunch and the staff were a great addition offering recommendations and amazing wine suggestions. The shrimp tartar was to die for. All in all a amazing experience

Such a beautiful restaurant in the Brera district, with good atmosphere and delicious dishes. The fragola pasta with seafood is outstanding, having absorbed the umami of the seafood. The pear and chocolate dessert was also delicate and realistic, with light cream inside. Although it is a relatively pricey place, but it is totally worth it with the cuisine and atmosphere they provide.

Bauscia is a lovely spot tucked away in the Brera district—a great choice for a peaceful lunch. The small terrace is a real plus, offering a quiet escape from the city buzz. We went for classics like cotoletta alla milanese and pasta, and everything was spot on—well-executed, flavorful, and true to tradition. The service was warm and courteous, though a little slow if you're in a rush. That said, the relaxed pace matched the calm ambiance of the place. Perfect for an unhurried lunch in style. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving quality Italian food without the touristy chaos.

A restaurant that truly captures the essence of Milanese cuisine. We began our meal with the Tuna Tartare and Wagyu Carpaccio, both of which were exceptional. The carpaccio, adorned with Maldon salt crystals, offered a delightful burst of flavor that elevated the dish. For the main course, I chose the Risotto alla Milanese, which lived up to its stellar reputation—rich, creamy, and perfectly executed. While the service was impeccable at the start, it became a bit inconsistent as the evening progressed and the restaurant grew busier. Nonetheless, the overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend Bauscia for those seeking authentic Milanese flavors in a vibrant setting.

Absolutely excellent little spot for an upscale yet unpretentious business lunch. The setting is elegant, polished and minimalist. Milan can feel arrogant as a city, almost as if it wants to impose the shirt and tie professional dress code even on its leisurely strolling tourists. You can't feel out of place here. The service is top notch and the food is delicious. Portions are on the controlled side but offer an excellent excuse not to stagnate the conversation, after all this is a place - at least during the day - primarily for client and employee lunches. The menu changes daily although there is a more expansive à la carte which the waiting staff knows by heart that you can order from. Now for the food & service ratings: - Spaghetto ai frutti di mare: 3.5/5 - Fantastic ingredients that are also cooked well but could be better. An additional point removed for the oil, in stupendous excess here which in turn tapers the flavor profile of the tomato. gained for the chilli kick which was greatly and pleasantly surprising. - Costata (entrecôte) with grilled veg: 6/5 - 400g of perfectly heavenly cooked meat. Wonderfully charred, tender, a symphony of flavors and textures. - Octopus salad: 4.5/5 - A perfectly sublime dish let down by portion size. Octopus salad is a humble, honest dish that needs to pretense. They almost have it right. Don't be mistaken though, these few bites are likely better than anything else you may have in Milan. - Salmon fillet on pea puree - 4/5 - Tender as butter, salmon is easy to mess up and had this been cooked for 3 seconds less it would take home full marks.

If you want an Instagram worthy place, this is it. Food is okay. I really liked the burrata. That was so rich and satisfying. But I found the anchovies to be overpowering. Risotto Ossobuco was okay as well. Risotto was great but veal shank was not great. Some parts were warm but some were cold. Some were moist but most of the parts were really dry. The server was friendly but she was too busy.

I ordered the steak medium rare, and while I understand this specific cut is a leaner part of the beef, the execution was quite poor. The outside was significantly overcooked, which made the meat dry. The two ends of the steak were particularly insufferable to eat. I used to have quite a pleasant experience at this place. Maybe the chef just wasn't in the mood today? And thanks god i did order some sweets in the end. But not because it's good, simply because it contains sugar.
