Driving through for business travel as usual, spotted this place from the highway . GLAD I STOPPED. Clean and cozy dining area , friendly folks , and some of the best Tex Mex I’ve had in years —-and I eat A LOT of Mexican food. I had the Sonora with two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and a chili relleno on the side . Chips and salsa are fresh and homemade . All delicious . (I will skip dinner tonight after this). Lol. Very reasonable prices . This place would make a killing in a larger town. Bonus: pretty new waitress in training . If I’m within 50 miles of this place I will be back .
If you find yourself at Marquez or maybe at a nearby lake, you could do a lot worse than dining here. Just a little place in the middle of nowhere but it’s solid! Decent Tex Mex, I could do with a little less cheese but it’s Tex Mex. The Alfredo platter was just a little more than I could eat with a chicken enchilada, pork tamale (if I was going to do this with less cheese that would be my recommendation… but maybe some folk like tamales with cheese, and a cheese (of course) chile replenish. Plenty of food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Maybe not a perfect 5 but close enough.
One of the best place to eat everything was fresh and delicious right on price . Loved the taste all the best to them for their buisness 👍 food was so good and we were so hungry that I forgot to take pictures when it came 💓
What we have here is the tasty shredded chicken soft taco dinner with rice& beans along with an ice cold 500ml Mexican coke to wash it down. Definitely the good eats!!!❤️

Delicious food for a good price
Great little restaurant!! Owner is a sweet Hispanic women (likely Anita herself), she waited on us was was super friendly. The food was hot, fresh & yummy! Nice to see Anita living the American dream, having her own business!! This will be our new stopping place as I drive my daughter to & from college.
If you're in a hurry call ahead. If you're demanding, call ahead! Wait staff is used to a slower laid back family environment and move accordingly. They are super nice people and always a pleasure to go there. The street tacos are the best.
Drove 55 minutes to this restaurant and it was well worth the drive. The food, service and staff were amazing. We will be definitely going back!!👍👍
We had late lunch the enchiladas trio..the ground beef very good and seasoned. Sour cream Chicken enchiladas perfect taste and their salsa very tasty
I think this place is great. I live choose to Anita's. I just love the people that own it. They are very friendly and nice. The food is great. I'm so glad they aren't my little town. Family owned and operated. Give them a try, I think you will agree. Try the traditional fajitas with shrimp. This is my favorite.
Traveling through the area and passed Anita's up... Turned around and glad I did. Super quiet and chill spot. Food is excellent, priced even better; Service and expedient were great. Thanks y'all. Hope to see you again

Food was excellent! I had chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce, beef taco and pork tamale aka The Laredo. Chip and great salsa would recommend to give it a try for small town USA
We absolutely love Anita's ❤️ I was hungry for mexican food so we stopped on our way home.Best choice ever! I will forever drive the 30 miles from now on to get good food.
Food is excellent! Staff is very nice and keeps your drinks, chips & sausa full. I just can’t say enough about the food. I try to stop every time i go through Marquez.
Best Mexican I have ever had. Way better than the more expensive options in big cities. I got the relleno and wife got the cheese enchiladas both were amazing would highly recommend!

I had the Big James burrito it was really good but didn't have much fajita meat in it. The staff stayed on top of our drinks and whatever else we needed so I can't complain to much
I had the Taquitos they are full of chicken, and good, beans tasted good, but the rice tasted as if out of a pouch, not authentic at all. The sour cream and guacamole side for 3 taquitos was sub par, about a teaspoon of each for all 3. Salsa was good so I used it on my dinner.

I would have given it a 5 star, except they went up on prices . Way up, one person meal ( burrito with faj. Beef) and a tea was 23.00. according to the menu price it should have been around 17-18 dollars. I'm sorry but I will not be going back.
