Everytime we stay with family in Fairfax, we come to the Marshall Store! The oysters are fabulous! We got the Rockefeller and the Kilpatrick (my favorite!) grilled oysters. These are are so BIG, fresh and amazing! We split the Tri-Tip Sandwich and YIKES! It was fantastic! It is THE Best Sandwich I have ever had. The tri-tip is so tender and flavorful and the bread is so fresh! We ended it off with the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie! It is windy there so have a jacket in the car. The drive from Fairfax to Marshall is so beautiful and scenic! The Marshall Store is a MUST!
I am so glad I stopped at the Marshall Store. I ordered the clam chowder($12) which was delicious, I thought it was a good sized bowl. Additionally, I ordered the Kilpatrick Smoked Oysters ($25), 6 grilled oysters, cooked with garlic butter, Worcestershire sauce, bacon, and topped with fresh parsley. Served with a side of grilled garlic bread. Guest place orders inside and can grab a seat outside, where you can enjoy the view while dining on your delicious meal. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for a spot in the area.
Got there right at 11 on a beautiful Sunday morning. Only waited a few min to place our order. We got oysters, the fish tacos and a shrimp poboy, and it was all delicious! It started to get crowded as we were leaving around 11:45 so I recommend getting there early if you don’t want to wait!
amazing little place along highway 1! stopped here for lunch & was not disappointed! the sandwiches are incredible - the bread is fantastic & everything tasted fresh, there wasn’t one we didn’t like! the fresh oysters were some of the best we’ve had - a must get. the place was busy but food came out quickly. lots of seating outside with friendly staff. a must visit rec for anyone in the area!
Huge servings with the sandwiches. We sat outside and I'd give this place 5/5 atmosphere if it wasn't for the flies and yellow jackets buzzing around everywhere. Maybe it's seasonal or weather department but I was surprised to see them flying around at every table. I only ordered the tri tip sandwiche and ended up taking part of it to go cause the servings were so big. Well worth the price compared to most places that will low-ball you in CA.
Simply AMAZING!!! I was hesitant about the hype before going, but The Marshall Store lived up to it! Not only was all the food super delicious but the staff ran very efficiently! Don’t let the long lines of crowds discourage you, not only is it worth it but again the run a great operation. Definitely go for the oysters but we also had the pulled pork and tri tip sandwiches, so good! This place is definitely worth the trip, and should be treated as a destination alone. Plenty of seating and multiple counters to order from from as well. Can’t wait to make another trip out!
When I read about this place having some of the most delicious seafood in the Bay Area, I knew I had to make the drive, and it was worth given a 2 when I read about this place having some of the most delicious seafood in the Bay Area, I knew I had to make the drive. Over 2 hours each way, and totally worth it!! Beautiful views and really really amazing food.
Extremely fresh oysters! Amazing place! Cool team! I usually take my Oysters to go… but the outdoors table are great…
Service was first class! From the cashier, to the servers, to the oyster shuckers, to Shannon behind the oyster bar! We didn't mind waiting in line to place an order, or waiting for space at the outside railing bar overlooking Tomales Bay. And the food was delicious! We ordered Oysters Rockefeller, shrimp and cod tacos. All delish!
What a great find right on the bay. We drove by but when we saw all the cars we turned around and went back. So glad that we did. This is a cute place right on the bay with outdoor seating overlooking the water. The service was excellent and quick. The seafood was delicious! This place is definitely a winner.
We visited here when COVID was wide spreading in Bay Area. We came on a Thursday and arrived when they just open (10am). There was no line and we were here with one other table dining at their standing tables. The tables were very clean, and there was almost no wind during our visit. The food has always been amazing, and worth every penny in my opinion. We ordered every possible BBQ flavored oyster, and some raw oysters. They came out quickly and we definitely had a blast enjoying the food and scenery. It’s a great place to visit if you want to get out of the city once in awhile, and I highly recommend Marshall store if you want some Raw/ bbq oyster along with some amazing seafood sandwiches.
We were staying in Bivalve and our host recommended The Marshall store when we told her we were looking for a place to get oysters. She told us it was a local family owned place, had more reasonable prices than Tony’s and they baked their own bread. Sold! It’s a casual eatery where you order at the counter and find your own seat. They offer wine by bottle, half bottle or single serve and beer and sodas too. My husband and I went for lunch. We ordered and found a seat outside overlooking the bay. Our It was a chilly, windy day so bring layers if you like eating outside. Our food came out quickly and it was almost a full house on Thursday at lunch. We started with a bowl of clam chowder served hot and delicious. We had raw, smoked and BBQ oysters. The raw ones were my favorite, very fresh and served with a mignonette including fresh chopped herbs. BBQ ones were served with the most delicious garlic bread and were my husband’s favorite. They were BBQ but still plenty juicy and covered with a lightly spicy BBQ sauce. Lastly the smoked oyster. They were well prepared but I didn’t love the flavor combo: served on a crisp toast, layer of goat cheese, oyster and a mayo base aioli. We then split a shrimp po’ boy sandwich. No regrets there. It had big, succulent shrimp perfectly seasoned with blackened seasonings, freshly made mayo free slaw, sliced tomatoes and a fabulously fresh roll. We would definitely recommend and return ourselves!
The absolute best oysters I’ve ever had! This spot is worth the trek from the Bay Area. It’s a very causal spot (port-a-potty toilets, bus your table) with very friendly and fast service. The seating is right on the water and the view of the bay and the forested hills is lovely. You must get fresh oysters and grilled oysters. Our favorite grilled option is the bbq oysters, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Plus, all grilled oysters come with a large chunk of garlic herb sourdough bread, which you can’t miss. If your dining companions aren’t interested in oysters (shame on them) there are fish tacos, clam chowder, sandwiches, and several other options on the menu. If you’re craving dessert, they offer buffalo milk soft serve. I recommend making a day out of this and doing a hike in Point Reyes or Marin beforehand.
Oysters and an amazing view, what more do you need. This is less crowded than the Tomales Bay Co place but you still have to line up and probably a bit hard to find a table at any time. Try the BBQ oysters they are great during a cold fall day. Definitely pricey, $25 for half a dozen quickly adds up.
Always the best staff!!!.... Support Local small business. White clam chowder is "bomb". Oysters are world class. Any sandwich or crabcake you just can't go wrong here. My mom is a local resident and has always enjoyed everything she has ordered here. Due to current County "takeout-only" mandates they have adjusted to include a tented "waiting for takeout"- area. Until County recalls current mandate of "no outdoor dining ", you'll need to queue up outside, order from their window and precede to the waiting area until your name is called. Eating on premises at outside benches, for now, is on hold. Of course, you cannot beat the view while you wait! Please be kind and understanding that they currently add on a set tip to the "takeout" orders to help assist its employees that have been struggling to get by during the forced State shut downs. Feel free to add additional tip as it is all pooled together to assist whole crew. Marshall is a small protected waters coastal community. Please "pickup and take away" all trash/plastics with you so seabirds and marine mammals stay safe if you come "takeaway" foods from The Marshall Store and eat in your car.
My happy place. It's the most unassuming roadside spot ever. I'm fully convinced the Marshall Store will receive a Michelin star at some point. The bbq oysters are just BEYOND and they're my go-to every time I visit. The Po Boy got raves from my sister. Sit outside by the water. Drink wine. Enjoy yourself.
The Marshall store is a must try. I've been coming here for the past 5 years. I first discovered this gem on accident, and thank goodness I did. From fresh oysters to their delicious BBQ oysters, the Kilpatrick with Bacon & Worcestershire Sauce and the Rockefeller with Spinach, Cheese & Bread Crumbs are my favorites. They also have beer for purchase and some awesome clam chowder soup. Other seafood and sandwiches are also available, but I only get the soup and oysters. It's about $18 for 6 raw oysters, a tad bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. These oysters are so fresh and delicious. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's right on the water and I love sitting outside. Staff are nice and friendly. There's zero service here, so make sure you download google maps prior to getting in that general area; they do have Wifi though. I will continue to make my way here once a year to eat these oh so delicious oysters. The best part, they are local.
I’ve been stopping by this place for years — it’s just an institution of West Marin. Fresh local oysters served up in a number of cooked and raw ways. Fish tacos are an excellent choice as well — as is most every on the menu. Beer and wine served by the bottle. TIP: Avoid prime lunch hour as parking is a sh$?!i!?&t show.
If you're going to The Marshall Store, you're probably after the oysters. Or maybe you are after the clam chowder, who knows? Personally I liked the raw oysters the best, compared to the ones that are cooked and served with various sauces. The raw oysters are very fresh and are definitely worth a try. The clam chowder is also a great dish to have. There is mostly, if not all, outdoor seating, where you can enjoy a the cool sea breeze and a good view.
This was such a unique experience!! Definitely on the pricey side but the food was so worth it! The view was exceptional and just a very enjoyable time! The oysters were so delicious and fresh! I definitely recommend coming here and trying it out for yourself! Service was very quick and the server was very helpful with the menu. If you’re exploring the coast, this is a must stop!
This place is amazing, when you see my rating of 5 stars understand that it should easily be 6 but I was limited to 5 only. My date found this place in an article so we decided to make a day of it and wonder out to see what all the hype was about. Stunning food. The crab sandwich was arguably the best crab sandwich I have ever had, I wanted the sandwich and agreed to split it with my date, don't make my mistake just order two of them. They oysters are out of this world and the claim chowder is the thick and delicious. I will be driving the two plus hours to go back for more.
We went to the Marshall Store after a hike at Pt. Reyes for lunch. Raw oysters on half shell DELISH, as well as the clam chowder!! You can choose different flavored toppings for oysters, and they are served with the most excellent bread,,,crunchy crust, chewy, moist inside!! We ate outside on the deck with a lovely view of the ocean and boats. The best lunch ever!
We recently checked out The Marshall Store and it was pretty awesome! The restaurant has an outdoor seating area with amazing views that overlook the bay. It's just the perfect setting to relax and unwind. And let me tell you about the oysters! They were so fresh and delicious. I could hardly get enough of them! If you're into seafood, you'll definitely want to check out the other menu options too! The staff were super chill and friendly, which really added to the overall vibe of the place. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out The Marshall Store for a fun and laid-back experience. The views alone are worth the visit!
The oysters are incredibly fresh and delicious, and I can't get enough of them. The variety of oysters available is impressive. The restaurant offers great outdoor dining options with beautiful waterfront views that complement the dining experience. The menu is well-rounded and includes other seafood options besides oysters, and everything I've tried has been exceptional. The wine and beer selection is also good.
2023 Update: still great and yummy place. Prices have gone up like everything else. They have more seating space as well, there is now a downstairs which helps block from some of the cold and wind on some days. Food is always worth the drive and cost though 🙌🏾 ———- My mom and I have been coming here for years and it has kept up its quality as well as added tasty new items on the menu over the years. Depending on when you go sometimes you do have to wait a bit in a line but it’s absolutely worth it! The food is delicious. Service here is also wonderful and the servers are very friendly. They’ve switched from sell bussing to servers busing your table for you. There’s lots of beautiful outdoor seating and they’ve put up a new tent which is quite helpful for all the wind but you don’t have to sit under it, there’s also open spaces as well. Perfect stop if you’re just taking a drive along the coast!
We went to Tomales Oyster farm but we realised that the oyster is not prepared for consumption on the spot so we were recommended to Marshall store. Both places are owned by the same family. On the look of the prices, it is very expensive to charge $24+ for just 6 raw oysters when you can get 12 for $18+ at the oyster farm. Oh well, we are paying for the labor costs. My bf loved all the dishes and all the seafood were fresh. I usually avoid oysters because it is so hard to get one that doesnt have any fishy taste to it and I am surprised that the oysters here does not have that taste! I ate 3 of the 6 pieces. We went a little crazy with the ordering because we were so hungry. Got the seafood stew, po boy sandwich, smoked fish, and grilled oysters. The food was great. We spent our labor day weekends in marin area and so far this was our most worthy meal. The portions were so great, even though the pricing is on the high side but you will get this pricing all around marin / point reyes area. The only downside of this place is the lack of parking area and the toilet is like a hiking site. Very disappointed to see this type of toilet.
Let’s be honest, where else can you enjoy fresh, tasty oysters, with a bottle of wine, great views is a laid back setting. The Marshall Store never disappoints. The line is worth the wait, and the 15% included tip is essential for these workers. We found the oysters delicious, smoked and raw tied for 1st place, rockefeller were a close 3rd. We had a non oyster member of our group, the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. Great wine and cheese selection. Don’t forget to pick up some beef jerky, it’s fresh, local and delicious!
Let's talk oysters. Super fresh, straight from the adjacent waters. Doesn't get better than this! We have been here on several occasions. As new oyster eaters we enjoyed the chorizo and rockafellar were delicious. As we got more addicted to oysters over the years, lol, the raw ones are totally where it's at! They're sweet, juicy, fresh. Not at all fishy! Served with a slice of lemon and house made mignonette (which is like a vinegrette with parsley). Delicious! They also always feature a seasonal menu. We went recently on new years eve (pleasantly surprised they were open) and they had Kumamoto raw oysters, which are smaller but very sweet and succulent. The cooked oysters also come with a highly indulgent piece of garlic bread which is excellent when paired with the leftover butter from the oysters. Prices start at $20+ for 6 oysters, but it's totally worth it! Always great service. Every time we've gone around meal times it's been packed with a line up. Definitely worth the wait. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Sun or cloudy skies, this has been worth the drive from the city. Would highly recommend!
You can eat freshly oysters called Miyagi. Two of us ordered six raw oysters, barbecue flavor, fish tacos, and two kinds of soup. And because we didn't want to forget the pure sweetness of the raw oysters when we were done eating, we ordered six more raw oysters. Today is truly a happy day. If you come on the weekend, aim for the morning because the place fills up at noon.
Great spot on highway 1 to get fresh oysters and crab. We also tried their fish stew and clam chowdera nd both were very tasty. One of my favorite Clam Chowders I've had, right up there with Hog Island. Their garlic bread went fantastic with both the baked brie and the soups. Service was also very friendly and fast. There is seating both inside and outside depending on the weather. I would definitely recommend this place for any seafood lovers!
If you come here, I recommend their grilled oysters and dining outdoors while looking at the bay. The prices here are very reasonable and the portions are decent. There's nothing more relaxing than this in sunny Northern California. When you leave, if they still have any sourdough bread, be sure to take one home with you. That was the best sourdough bread I've ever had.
My favorite oyster spot in the bay area! I hadn't been in a couple years, so I was surprised to see a whole new patio area that expanded the seating. The oysters were amazing as always, and I tried the chorizo grilled oysters and fell in love. They go great with the warm garlic bread that came out with them. Can't wait to go again!
We arrived half an hour before closing and according to the flustered couple leaving "all they had left were raw oysters". Luckily that's exactly what we came for and boy were they good! Plump, salty, creamy, the horseradish and vinaigrette were a perfect addition. There was no rush from the staff in getting us out of there, we were more than welcome to enjoy our oysters and beer while they were closing. Complimentary music and joke filled conversation was included. We even got to try the buffalo milk soft serve ice cream, and I doubt this needs saying but if you need convincing: TRY IT! TLDR; Great oysters, great service, no reason not to go. So go. Bring your friends, family or anyone you're looking to impress!
Delicious and well worth it. Expect to pay $20 on average for amazing food that is more of an experience than a meal. Paid $22 for six smoked oysters. These are the best in town. Big, meaty and cooked professionally. I recommend this place as a first stop especially for international tourists. Beer and wine available and recommended. Friendly environment.
Super fresh and delicious Seafood right on the water. Would love if they had specials on the oysters every now and then (they are $4 a pop and right next to the source so not sure why the price). But then again they can charge that much because they are delicious and there’s always a line of people ready to pay. Always a fun spot to stop at with friends but expect to to pay $50+ a person
Very enjoyable drive to a lovely lunch. We sat in the lower section, where you go inside to order. Service was fast, the food was excellent. We had oysters: raw, bbq, and Kilpatrick. The raw were the best, but the garlic bread with the cooked oysters was so good. The clam chowder was amazing. . The cod sandwich was good, but could have had a bigger portion of fish. . Overall, an excellent experience.
Me and my friend had a wonderful lunch with oysters. We ordered a pulled pork sandwiches, a dozen of raw oysters and a plate with 6 cooked oysters “Rockefeller”. That was the first that I tried grilled oysters, there was tasty. I highly recommend this place which has a pleasant view over the lagune.
Adorable lil restaurant looking over Tomalas Bay. Some of the best fresh oysters around. The tri tip sandwich and baked brie were also scrumptious. A select range of beer and wine is available, though must be consumed in the tented area outside. Free parking is available onsite, but relatively limited; this spot tends to get busy at peak times. Portable restrooms are available to customers.
After growing up in San Francisco, I'm embarrassed to say that I've never been to this place until today! But now I can boast that I've had the best oysters in the Bay Area, hands down. Not only that, we split two of the sandwiches and from the bread to the crazy good combination of textures and flavors, let's just say, I'm stuffed with joy and a food coma! Go try it when you can. Get there at 11 ish when they open to maximize your experience and come hungry!
If you are in the area, this restaurant is a must!! It’s such a cute restaurant next to the water and you can’t beat the view, plus the food is delicious. Highly recommend the oysters, crab sandwich, clam chowder and you can’t leave without a trying their soft serve, probably the best soft serve I’ve ever had. There is two big areas to seat right and left of the restaurant. Can’t wait to go back!!
The Marshall Store changed my life. I used to not like oysters at all until I ate here. I was always afraid of the texture or the taste. This was the first time I've had oysters that were so sweet and fresh. You can only get this breed of oysters here too. Now, I don't just crave oysters. I crave them from here. The grilled oyster flavors are also superb. All the flavors just mesh well together. I'm suprised to say I'm willing to try more oysters now. The other cooked foods on the menu are so delicious. The bread is from Route One Bakery so it's fresh and it pairs so well with the fish. The Buffalo icecream wasn't as funky as I thought and it was really creamy.
Delicious oysters and fish tacos. There not a better place to relax next to the bay. They have plenty of parking.
The sandwich comes with plenty of crab. Crab is served pretty cold to keep its freshness and texture. To make this a true bomb, hot sauce + stuff it with as many pickles as you can. I arrived at last minute, there was only me at the store. They made everything fast
A California winter (65 degrees outside) allowed us to drive up the coast and enjoy some grilled oysters. There are two lines to place your order, find a table and the servers call our your name as they look for you to deliver your order. Water and napkins are on the counter so pick up prior to your table finding. We sat outdoors and it was warm (bring hat for shade). We waited a bit for our oysters as there was a queue for the grill. Our friends ordered seafood soup and a clam chowder. Both were great, we used the bread from a previous place to dip in the broth. Then the oysters were dropped off. Yum, a great treat after a long yet scenic drive. Service was nice and efficient, we were amazed they were able to serve the food and deliver with all the tables filled and people still in line to order.
Marshall Store is a seafood lover’s dream. The seafood is incredibly fresh and consistently delicious — easily worth the hype. It’s usually pretty chilly weather wise when I’ve gone, but the food more than makes up for it. The outdoor seating area has a tarp, which helps, and service is impressively prompt considering how popular this place is. Everything moves efficiently, and you don’t feel forgotten even when it’s busy. Overall, an easy 10/10 — highly recommend for anyone who loves great seafood
I love this place! The food is great, a little pricy but worth it if you're getting the oysters. You eat at tables near the water and the staff are fast and friendly when taking your order. Parking can be difficult if you're going during busy hours. And there are tons of bees if you're allergic just be mindful. I have tried the chowder, the crab sandwich, and all the oysters. My least fave was the crab. Highly recommend the bbq oysters!
We sat outside on a windless 60 degree day in late November and it was glorious. The fresh oysters served with meuniere sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted. The chowder with garlic bread is close. My wife always enjoys the fish tacos, which are so big that you need a fork. Don’t expect fine linen or deluxe restrooms. The stars are the freshest seafood and the fabulous setting facing Tomales Bay.
This was a delightful place to visit and dine at, staff is very nice friendly and polite, always smiling and welcoming to the guests, tasty and delicious food, the chorizo oysters are lip smacking and the raw oysters are tasty well , the shrimp poy sandwich is an absolute try. Plenty of seating , they have first come first serve seating arrangements, beautiful view of the tamales bay while you enjoy the oysters. Parking available.

The oysters here are divine! We loved the raw and barbecue. It is such a pleasant and relaxing experience to sip a beer, overlook Tomales Bay, and enjoy remarkably local oysters.
Oysters with a view! The Marshall Store on Tomales Bay is a seafood lover’s paradise, offering some of the freshest and most flavorful shellfish on the Northern California coast. This casual, waterfront eatery specializes in oysters, served in a variety of mouthwatering styles, all while treating guests to stunning bay views. The grilled oysters are the undeniable highlight, perfectly cooked and topped with delectable sauces like garlic butter or chipotle bourbon. The freshness of the oysters is unparalleled, each one tasting as though it was just pulled from the bay. The raw oysters, served on ice with lemon and mignonette, showcase the briny, clean flavors of Tomales Bay. For a heartier option, the clam chowder is creamy and rich, packed with tender clams and just the right amount of seasoning. The rustic outdoor seating, overlooking the calm waters of the bay, enhances the experience. It’s a place where you can linger over your meal while soaking in the natural beauty of the area. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu or suggest pairings with local wines and beers. Though it can get busy during peak hours, the wait is well worth it. The Marshall Store is a must-visit for anyone exploring the charm and flavors of Tomales Bay.
Good food and great outdoor seating vibes! We arrived around 11:30 am on Monday afternoon. Popular place with some open seating available after we placed the order. Food came quickly which is always great. The raw oysters and Rockefeller oysters were fresh and delicious! The ceviche tostada was great as well. In comparison, the clam chowder was fine but didn't stand out. I would come back for the oysters!
Unique experience. Beautiful atmosphere right next to the water. Noisy being right off the road. First come, first serve seating. Order inside and food is brought out to you. Nice selection of oysters served many ways. I wouldn't order the clam chowder again. Lacked flavor with minimal clams.
The oyster were good but a bit on the saltier side. I wished they put less sauce then that would help bring out more of the natural oyster flavor. They can get really busy. Super nice location with the view of the tomales bay. Their outdoor seating and indoor space looks modern and clean. I like their water machine. The water taste fresh. One thing I don’t like is their bathroom. You have to go in their porta potty
We had a blast coming here for oysters. It's something we have been looking forward to for ages. The shop was cute, there was parking, restrooms were available (Portos) and the food was delicious. However, I think the pricing is incredibly steep. We had two orders of oysters and 2 orders of clam chowder and it came out to almost $70. Granted it was amazing, but it's definitely going to be a special occasion kind of thing.
We stopped here on a Monday on a drive up the coast. Ordered out front, and sat at the table on the water out back. The oysters were fantastic! We got Raw and the Kilpatrick version (bacon, Worcestershire, along with garlic bread). The prices are a bit high, but the ambience and high quality make it well worth the splurge. Will have to make this a recurring destination. Loved it!
Amazing location. Fresh food, simple menu with not too many choices. I loved the raw oysters and the soft serve, all the cooked seafood comes with garlic though, and it’s not possible to have it served without it, so I couldn’t appreciate the cooked oysters. The whole crab was delicious too.
We were lucky not to be there on a weekend. The place is a no nonsense eatery swarming with flies and bees. Food is as expected fresh from the sea and different options of trying out the oysters. Unfortunately many of them have pork items inside it so it is really an issue for those who do not eat pork. Prices are on the higher side and service is swift. There are makeshift cabins for toilets. A plus point was the free wifi which was really very helpful as there are no 5G signals in that area.
The reviews didn’t lie! This is a must stop along a beautiful drive serving fresh seafood. The oysters are undeniably amazing. We got the clam chowder, tri tip sandwich and ceviche as well. Portions are perfect and the staff is exceptional. We didn’t have to wait at all luckily. The soft serve was a perfect end to a perfect meal! Will be back.
delicious seafood all around! stop by and eat at the patio for a refreshing lunch. oysters and fish sandwich were the highlights. bring an extra layer to keep warm against the sea breeze fresh oysters: must get, fresh and creamy smoked oysters: surprise highlight, loved the different layers and smoky taste oysters rockafeller: tasty but rich, can only have one crab sandwich: fresh crab but small portions. decent but nothing to write home about fish sandwich: must try! the bread was outstanding and fish was perfectly seasoned and grilled. soft serve: tasty but forgettable
The worst part was having to shuck my own oysters when I drove 2.5 hrs to try this place. Service was friendly. Nice outdoors area for sitting and enjoying the beautiful day. Raw oysters- hellish, never ever will I go somewhere to pay to shuck my own oysters Shrimp- juicy and perfect Oysters rockafella- good Crab sandwich- good Clam chowder- delicious (so good with the bread from the oysters rockafella) Glad I had my own water, their water fountain didn’t work while we were there.
If you're looking for a fantastic oyster experience, look no further than Marshal Store Oyster Bar! The atmosphere is lively and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure our if we were satisfied. The oysters were incredibly fresh and flavorful. But don't stop at oysters; their menu is full of other delicious seafood dishes and creative cocktails. I highly recommend giving them a visit.
Updating since this was 8 years ago and everything everywhere is expensive now so hardly seems fair to single them out. Of course we've been back and it's still a unique and stellar spot.

We came here before opening and there was already a line - if that tells you anything! Beautiful spot with LOTs of outdoor seating which lines the building and along the water/road side. There was …
This place was recommended to us during our travels. Bbq oysters were the goal. We ordered the Bbq oysters (smoked were not being served this day) I wavered between the crab sandwich and fish tac…
Way overpriced food was nothing special. Order at counter no table service and the expect 20% tip. $100.00 for lunch oysters, cup of chowder and 2 fish tacos. Nuts.
Inside and outside dining. Fresh seafood of all varieties. Outside seating with heating optional. Great views. Food was fresh and delicious. Only complain are the portaloos, not very inviting!

The vibe at their outdoor dining is great. There’s actually two lines when we were there this past weekend, one for their new patio dining and the other for near the street/highway. Super packed on weekends and finding a table is by chance. Be prepared to spend extra $$. There’s is street parking. Restrooms are porta-potty with portable water pumps to wash your hands. Gratuity is included in your bill. I overheard that from the guy ahead of me who was told before paying but I wasn’t told.
Exceptional $$$$ for exceptional quality… but small serving size. $88 lunch for two. Had the ceviche tacos, fish taco, 6 oyster on the half shell. Standout (!!) was the ceviche taco: firm succulent fish with generous avocado and herbs all on a super crispy fried tortilla. Amazing. Unfortunately the price is wilting. About $12 for each taco and $4 per oyster. Having grown 3 varieties of oysters in WA state, paying $4/ea is painful. But the $12 for each taco is seaside robbery and we left still feeling a bit hungry.
We always enjoy a road trips to Marshall for some Oysters. Well after $24.00 for 6 oysters. 13/13 dollars for clam chowder and fish stew. We also got a $34.00 crab sandwich. Maybe time to try som…
We waited for about 30 minutes to get our food, it was probably because they were packed.\n\nThis restaurant has 2 outdoor seating areas. "Upstairs" and "downstairs". They have a sign that you have…
Came for lunch on a Tuesday. They have a limited menu. You order at the counter and get a number; the food is brought to you at the tables outside. There is no regular service like you get upstair…
Decent food but overpriced. Oysters were 28 bucks for 6 small-medium size. No fresh water (their machine was not working). Super long line that was moving slowly. Mostly self service but we’re asking for tips. Do not recommend.
There are very few seating options, and half of the tables were closed off for no reason. They sell alcohol, but you’re not allowed to sit on the dock with it which makes no sense. There was no table available for us, even though some people had clearly finished eating. One waitress told me they monitor guests so others don’t wait too long, but another said she couldn’t ask anyone to leave even if they were done. The oysters were also not good too fatty and unpleasant in taste. Would not recommend.
