This place is really food, we come here for breakfast when we visit our daughter. The portion are huge, their waffles are crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside. The workers there are super nice and attentive. My kids really like to eat here.

I liked it. Had the Sticky Bun waffle. The brown sugar glaze was gritty, dense and solid, wasn't really a glaze. Every thing else was enjoyable

To be fair, we went on move in weekend at UC Merced. It wasn't the 20 minute wait, that is normal for Sunday. The disappointing aspect was that the food was all overcooked/burnt. It seems it sat waiting for quite a bit before it made it to the table.

Service was friendly, but we had 1waitress who took our order and then never saw her again. A waiter came by and re-took our drink order (water & ice tea) and finally got it to us. We started to worry about our food order, but it did come. It looked great and smelled wonderful. My guest was happy with his order. My eggs weren't cook properly (for me) and neither was my bacon. The waiter did have them re cook my eggs. The 3 under cooked eggs on my plate stayed there as he brought 2 newly cooked eggs. They were good. I don't blame the waiter as he was doing his best after picking up tables from a M I A waitress. May be back after the new year for a second chance.

Typical spot for American breakfast fare. The atmosphere is a little more modern, and has more of that central California vibe, which works for the location. Staff was friendly, and decently attentive. The good was as good as can be expected. Not hard for a plate with eggs bacon and potatoes (yet you'd be surprised at how many places mess that up). The potatoes were the highlight of the dish, I'm so glad I opted for those over the hash browns, which didn't look as flavorful. The waffles I got was good, which was the caramel banana pecan waffle. These waffles are on the thinner side, so don't expect a Belgian waffle. But I think half a waffle was a good pairing with the breakfast platter. Just the right amount of food.

I like breakfast. It is mt favorite type of food selection. Being new to Merced area my wife and I hit a few places until we stumbled across the Country Waffles. The menu has pretty much anything a normal water would like. The food is very good, wife lives it, and they make the best biscuits and gravy I have found, outside of my mother's, of course. That sounds cliche but my mother was an orphan and never was taught to cook.... except for country gravy. Yup, in my house it was gravy on wonder bread or dry cereal. So I am the expert on gravy. I think they only open for lunch and dinner. Wait staff is on top of things and polite. I like it. Been back a few more times... They keep hitting on all cylinders.

I'd say overall, this place is pretty good. Service was decent, with the exception of not receiving any more refills after the bill was dropped off towards the end of the meal, which is minor. The food was good too.

The service was great. The food was disappointing. I ordered a Stuffed Jalapeño burger. Description says grilled jalapeño and onion inside that were both still raw. Also said jack cheese, I was given shredded cheddar. Also said it had sauteed mushrooms but didn't get any at all.. What I got was nothing like the description and even though the server kindly took it back to be fixed, all I got back was a cold burger with stiff, dry bread with the shredded cheddar scraped off and replaced with shredded white cheese instead... I expect a little more quality from a $17 burger..

I've eaten at many C Waffles and always ordered the same breakfast and always satisfied. this location never seems to be quite as good as all the others I have been. ordered over medium eggs and they were not cooked, also the hash browns were not brown,under cooked and the price of a simple breakfast has increased 2.00 in a year. it was a little busy so I suppose the cook was in a hurry. Opening in restaurant dining against state rules. Gives some asinine reason of some old woman needs a place to eat so he is opening his restaurant for 1 person. This is against the law, against what every health professional in the WORLD. Talk about a restaurant owner who cares only for themselves and not for any one else. Stay away!!! We can only win thos war on covid if we all work together, and this restaurant is willing to risk people's lives to heal the law and open before its safe.

It's always extremely loud and packed. Everytime I have an issue there is no accommodation or solution. The consumer just has to deal with it and accept that we just wasted our hard earned money.

To make a long story short they set us outside without any covering and it windy with 2 kids and place us by the door where a waitress said that she needed to shut the door which my son in law sat their the door and chair keep hitting his chairs which we need to move the tables ourselves over very inconsiderate. Last time I was there, the dude every time I get him, I don’t get the pancake special with my breakfast.. one lady that works there, she is very nice and she will do it for me... I had a very traumatic experience here this morning. I ordered the Mexicali omelette and the sauce with veggies that were on top had a “COCKROACH “!!!!! Yes you heard me a “COCKROACH “ !!! I really am bummed out because this happened to me. I really wanted to like this place but there’s no way now. It was my first time going there. I hope I don’t get sick.. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. This really is traumatizing. We let the waiter know and he saw it . And other workers saw it. Why me… 🤢🤢🤮🤮😢😢😢

What’s up with we’re too busy for take out orders? If I go in you have to prepare my food anyways! This happened before and sadly I forgot. That won’t happen again. I’ve never had any other restaurant in town say that, ever.

Food is great, The service sucks they are too busy and management will not hire more people. I ordered a takeout this morning and they canceled the order but the money I paid with was all I had at the time to feed my kids. By canceling the order they took away all other options as I now have to wait 3 business days for my refund to come back. I would post my heart broken kids faces to show you how a waffle house can truly ruin a child's day, but I refuse to embarrasse my kids becauseof waffle house.

I wished Denny's wasnt as packed. This was the alternative, burger was more grease than actual burger, I asked for grilled onions instead of avocado, nope they didnt replace, restroom smells like mold on top of mold. If you wamt to go and get yoir stomach turned upside down, this is the place to go.

Unfortunately, I left it behind and called back, only to be told it was thrown away and nothing could be done. I was disappointed that no effort was made to help, especially since most of the meal was untouched. A simple solution or better customer service would have made a difference.
