The remodeled sizzler definitely is a welcome edition to Merced. Pretty consistent with food and the salad bar is pretty extensive. Steak and lobster was pricey but very good. Service was fast, friendly and the fresh new bright modern look definitely puts this spot at the top of the dining scene in an otherwise food vacuum that is Merced. Management seems to be heavily involved in making this place a success 👍🏼

Dylan made my family and I feel welcomed as soon as we got into the restaurant. All staff was so friendly and helpful. They recommended the steak and salad bar and I could not get enough of it.

The counter girl was very friendly and helpful. Our server was very friendly also. And quick too. Everything was delicious. The steak was perfectly medium rare, the ribs were so tender they practically melted. They bbq wings were cooked just right. And the lobster was fantastic (according to my boyfriend) The best meal I've had in a long time. It was our first real meal out since April of 2020. We made a terrific choice. Our server Silvia was wonderful. Friendly, prompt and was constantly checking to see if there was anything we needed even though we went during the after church lunch rush. Salad bar was clean and in great order food was fresh and constantly being monitored. Ive been going to this location for years but recently it has improved ten fold. With staff like Silvia this will continue to be my families go to spot for family lunches and dinners.

Silvia is great and always take great care of us. Food is excellent. Interior is almost perfect—music isn’t too loud and everything is clean. Only quibble is it is bright with the white walls.

Wasn’t a big fan of the supervisor walking around inspecting things while we were dining, but I enjoyed my service and the managers were really helpful will my special needs son. Good service isn’t always appreciated.

Great service and quality meals on Father’s Day! The salad bar is full of great offerings, it was clean and fully stocked. My steak, ribs, and shrimp platter were great. The cherry limeade was a perfect pairing. The cheese toast is spot on. Priscilla did a great job, she checked back on me several times. The managers were actively greeting guests. This is a clean, comfortable and inviting restaurant! Definitely recommend it.

Really enjoy their salad bar. 1 of the last buffet style restaurants. A simple offering but very satisfying. They also have soup, tacos, and pasta. Texas toast is a fun side. Their steaks and entrees ate very good. Don't forget dessert before you leave, soft serve and brownies

After a long day of driving visiting Grizzly Falls of Sequoia National Park, on the way back passing Merced, we looked for a sizzler since we just wanted soups and salads. Luckily this one was on the way and we stopped by. The place is in a big shopping center so we had plenty of places to park. The restaurant looks new and very clean. It’s been a few years since we’ve been in a Sizzler. The salad bar is the middle of the restaurant as usual. There are many steak specials, but we’re only interested in the full salad bar. The price has been up since then, $20 per person now. We did expect that because of all inflation. Quite reasonable although more expensive than some steak and shrimps on special for $17. The cheese toasts here are always the best, crispy and tasty, perfect with soups. The beef soup was very good, although the clam chowder I used to eat wasn’t so rich as now. The salad bar has plenty of things to choose from that’s why I like. Chicken and spinach salads are always excellent. We also made our own salads with many tasty dressings. The hot foods included with chicken wings, spaghetti and meatballs, tacos, chips and salsa with guacamole. We enjoyed the soups and salads very well. The service was so excellent and attentive with a young lady named Natalia.

We normally like Sizzle salad bar, there are varieties of salad, fried chicken, pulled pork, spaghetti with meatballs red sauce, dessert, and different types of soups. However, the Kales vegetable at the salad bar looked old this time. Maybe we went during working day between lunch and dinner hours and not many people there. They didn’t have pulled pork at the salad bar anymore, but they have fried chicken and orange chicken, taco and red sauce meatballs with pasta. I like the vegetable and beef soup. Other than that the salad bar buffet would be the best in all restaurants around the area because no other restaurant has salad buffet. I like the steak dinner here, but my husband ordered Chicken Malibu which is too much cheese on top of the chicken. The service is better this time. I just updated to 4 stars from earlier 3 stars. This time is better food and the services.

This is the bacon cheeseburger. It was too salty to eat, so they kindly let us get the salad bar instead and they took the burger back. The server was great and very attentive! The atmosphere is just a Diner.

We were a party of 5 around 1 pm Sunday, We chose a table and a server showed when I was washing my hands. We had gotten our drinks and salad bar when the server appeared again. Lissa the server was asked for more napkins, which she kept in her hand under the tray she was holding. None were left. Next Lissa returned with the entrée orders and again was asked for napkins, she left 4 on one side of the table as she left. We were about to ask for more when she came by and left them on the other side. As I was thanking my friends for lunch and the fellowship, Lissa returned with the check and mints being sure that we left a review for her because of a contest. The slip had her name as Lissa without a website or QR code to scan, hence this review here. I understand serving people and their needs, it is always the server’s responsibility to anticipate the needs and stay in contact with the people they are serving.

I have to dock 1 start since the service was slightly slow as I ordered the Malibu chicken which is expected but it was made up for with the salad taco and spaghetti bar which I liked the most. The atmosphere is inviting as I like this place and will go back again!

Our server Lissandra was great, very attentive to our table. The toasted bread was delicious but the steak was mainly fat. The chicken was slightly on the dry side. My wife had the cheese burger and enjoyed her dish. Not a bad place to go for a quick bite. Service was great.

Great salad bar but DONT order anything else! While the steak was cooked perfectly it tasted like grill oil. They like to use margarine on the bread and potatoes. The trio of shrimp was inedible. WAY too much breading, greasy, and cold. The strawberry lemonade was yummy. If you want a salad bar with cold crisp lettuce and lots of topping, they do that well. Other than that, food was strictly mediocre. The salad bar is $17 alone and $7.99 with an entree. That’s why we decided to try the entree but they were not edible!! Also included with the salad bar is a dessert bar. SERVICE was horrible from the actual waitstaff but the manager was terrific!!

I ordered fried shrimp and large steak and when it arrived it was a kids size meal. I addressed the staff and they assured me it was a large steak (you see and judge for yourself) none the less I was so disappointed my wife stopped eating, asked for a plastic plate and bagged it up. It was my dogs first day eating steak n shrimp. Yea,I was so disappointed I gave it to my dog .Won't go there for steak again

Our server was very kind and accommodating, no faults there. However the food was a little disappointing for the price we paid. Seems as though the portions are a lot smaller, my steak was flavorless and greasy, and my mash potatoes were stale. Cheese toast was not as fluffy as I remember it to me, it’s a shame. The new menus are not very clear about what every meal comes with either. Not a lot of pictures for reference either.

The most horrible service ever yesterday 3/8/26! The waiter lady needs to learn how to treat people well and not answer extremely rude to her customers. The manager was also extremely rude also. There was a hair on my aunts food and the lady waiter told my aunt that the hair was my aunts hair but that could not be possible since my aunt just happened to get her food when she notice the hair. My family and I will never return back this place! I don’t recommend it.
