El servicio fue de lo mejor de la noche. Tuvimos dudas con algunos vinos pero el sommelier no dudó en orientarnos 👌. Sinceramente recomiendo el lugar al 100%. Si estás leyendo esto no lo dudes en ir.

Un lugar muy agradable, la comida, los vinos y sobretodo la atención. El lugar es acogedor para compartir con amigos. Si van en auto, pueden dejarlo cerca de las calles aledañas o bien en el Parque Santa Lucía hay estacionamiento.

Amazing wine, cheese board and entertainment. It really made our last evening very special. Would highly recommend if you enjoy good wine, local cheese and meats board and fabulous entertainment.

What a gem of a wine bar. The owner is also the sommelier, and his warmth and knowledge immediately set the tone for a truly welcoming experience. The space is intimate, cozy, and beautifully curated—perfect for lingering over a glass (or two). As a solo, mature woman traveler, I felt completely comfortable and genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. The wine selection is outstanding, and I especially appreciated being offered small samples before choosing. The food is equally delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Being completely honest I did not come in here with the best of mood. They created a very lovely environment that was invited when you first step through the door. The staff were truly a delight making you feel as if in you’re in a home away from home. Their food was wonderful I happen to be very judgy when it comes to my food and in all honesty I was almost a little upset that I couldn’t nitpick. Had dinner last night at Bacchus. What a wonderful experience. Was greeted by the owner, Enoch, immediately and seated and before we settled had a complementary taste of wine in front of us. Enoch then led a tasting of several reds from Mexico, all new to us. We made our choices then moved on to ordering tapas. All of the food and wine were excellent and the service was outstanding. Live music from a great singer/guitarist made the evening perfect. Highly recommended. Thank you Enoch and your staff for a great experience.

Enoch operates his establishment with passion, humility, and a sense of kindness that is rare. You can tell he loves what he does and that he takes great pride in his services, food, and wine. This has easily been the best gastronomic experience that I have had in Merida and furthermore at any other wine bar - and I have previously worked at one. If you have to eat at one location during your stay in Merida, eat here. Let him guide your wine experience, order the cheese board, order the spaghetti, and enjoy your evening. I promise you that you will. If I could convince him to open a shop back in the US, I would. 10/10 no notes.

An absolute MUST when visiting Mérida. Do not leave merida without visiting Bacchus Wine Bar and the owner, Enoch!!! To start, the service is amazing. I was in the service industry for 10+ years and Enoch’s service will blow your mind. His passion radiates through him. In my 4 days in merida, I visited twice. Enoch took the time to do a wine tasting of both red and white wines. He broke down their region and flavor profiles. He cared enough to ask where we were visiting from and even made recommendations for places to visit while here. On our second visit, he remembered us right away and told us he wanted to spoil us… and that he did!!! An additional wine tasting as well as he recommending his 3 cheese platter to start.. he knew my friend cannot eat pork so Enoch showed us all his menu options. While classic music played in the background and dim lights loomed over, we enjoyed the amazing salmon spaghetti. The hot honey with almonds is absolutely amazing and I was so happy to find out he sells it individually. This was easily my best meal while I merida. Enoch has made us feel right at home and I cannot wait to come back. If you visit Merida and don’t stop here, even for only a glass of wine, you are mistaken.

My family and I stumbled upon this place and were so happy we did! The owner/somm was extremely welcoming and truly passionate about his business, food, & wine. He let us taste several wines to help us make our decision and provided extra info about the menu. He happily accommodated vegetarian diet. We had the Mediterranean plate, 5 cheese plate, two pasta dishes, several wines, and desert and it was all delicious! We loved this place and would definitely go back—highly recommend!

This place wants to create a feeling of quality and attention. They partially succeed at this: the wine is good and service is quick. On the other hand, the quality and price ratio of the food is not good (overpriced for what you get). The service, though quick, felt rather pushy to us. We had the idea we were being watched constantly, as the waiter was situated less then a metre from our table.

Been here twice. The first time for Christmas, when they offered a special menu, with appetizer, starter, main, and dessert, + two glasses of wine, for a cost of 1200 peso. The food was not worth the price, and the bill came with an obligatory 15% tip, something that was not mention beforehand. So when I went back, i had only some wine (which also is heavily overpriced, but difficult to find in Mérida), this time I didn't look at the bill very close, instead paid what it said assuming that they had added the tip to it just like last time. They did apparently not, as the owner then started a rant about how rude it is not to tip, while refusing to listen to me trying to explain that I assumed it was added automatically, like last time. He did eventually calm down, and we ended on better terms, but honestly this behavior is just completely uncalled for in the first place. Long story short, unless you want to be both robbed and insulted, avoid this place at all cost.
