We loved this place so much we visited twice - first for drinks and the second time for food and drinks. Excellent selection of Mexican craft beer from Mérida and beyond. Both draft and bottled options available. I was very pleased with the variety and happy to see lines turn over from one visit to the next. We ate the pizza, bruschetta, and meatballs - all of which were outstanding. Pizza was cooked perfectly and the meatballs succulent in tasty red sauce. The atmosphere was fantastic with great music playing on each visit. We particularly enjoyed the DJ on our first trip. The staff was friendly and quick to serve. Would highly recommend this place. Wish they had some merch to buy as I would have definitely bought a tee.

My husband and I love Bird. The atmosphere was relaxed and very chill. We had the pizza and it definitely was on point and so were the cocktails! And if you're in the mood for listening to DJ'd music in a setting where you can still have a conversation, this is the place! Just a really good place to wind down your evening.

Outstanding atmosphere, music, beer and service. One of my fav places in Merida for a quality draft beer and obscure vinyl jazz. That being said, I haven't tried the food and only go before the crowds arrive, which they do. It's a completely different place at night when the club crowd comes out...

It's a cool spot with decent music, beer, and pizzas. Nothing about it screams quality to be honest. The service is friendly enough -- the usual bartender is very nice. The pizzas are good but nothing special. Ditto for the drink selection. I come here more for the chill laid-back vibe. I'd recommend asking them when someone is going to be spinning vinyls next.

the hostess is nice but not friendly or accommodating. the non traditional tables can be difficult to eat at but the vibe is cool. the food was great. had the special chef pizzas, important to know if the guest chef is there his menu is all that’s available, would have been good to know at the start. hummus and fresh baked breads were also yummy. there was a live DJ tunes were not in tune with eating but more for a night club but still some good music all in all a good time good food and worth a visit.

This place is so cute. The vibes were truly immaculate with great music and a dimly lit interior. The meat lovers pizza is a must as was the meatballs. If I lived here I could see myself becoming a regular for sure

During my recent visit to Bird, a craft beer bar. I had high hopes, given the establishment’s reputation and my own love for exploring unique brews. To my surprise, I found myself in a bit of a quandary after sampling six different beers from their selection. Among these, only one reached the threshold of being drinkable - and just barely at that. It’s not often that I struggle to find a gem in such a wide array, but this was one of those rare instances. Seeking some guidance, I turned to the bartender, hoping for an insider recommendation. He suggested their ‘Number Ten,’ which, while not terrible, failed to hit the mark of what I consider a good craft beer. It left me pondering the purpose of a craft beer bar that doesn’t offer a selection of palatable options. As someone who frequents many bars and enjoys the culture of craft beer, I usually refrain from giving negative reviews. However, in this case, I feel it’s necessary to share my experience. Bird has the potential to be a fantastic spot for beer enthusiasts, but it seems to fall short in delivering a satisfying beer experience. For those seeking a place with a reliably enjoyable beer selection, it might be wise to look elsewhere

'Pretty & trendy' styled spot. Some of the beer on tap were unavailable, although still on the black board, not all items on the menu were available. Even though staff were available in the kitchen, they would not take a food order until a specified time. Drinks only for the first hour. The first pizza arrived burned, it was replaced, but I was finished dining at that point so my partner took his food with him. The dessert ordered, also not available. I'm not sure their demographic...perhaps local that are more there to drink and talk. Perhaps they should notice the influx of expats and tourists and see where the money lies.

This restaurant was a totally mixed bag. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza but the fungi was very bland, lacked salt and had absolutely no truffle that was detectable. Also I’m just shocked you can make button mushrooms bland. It was ultimately overpriced. The pizzas are smaller than other places with comparable quality but more expensive. My partner got the beer flight and 4 were just watery and bitter and he only liked one. It is weird that they don’t let you choose for the flight from everything they have on tap. At first it seemed attentive and fast but then the food took 40 minutes and we were one of 2 tables. Seems like they need more staff. The atmosphere was a vibe for sure. We were there while it was empty so it wasn’t too hot nor too loud. We enjoyed looking around at the decor. Overall, too expensive for what it is so we won’t likely return. But made for a good Pi day adventure!
