Opiniones de La Casta Divina Mérida
We visited this place few years ago amd it was terrible, like in all the same places around a la Yucatan cuisine (primitive but expensive). I didn’t want to go now but we want a simple breakfast and they offered “package”, muy comodo. It was sooo cute after renovation inside, pretty reasonable prices, amazing service all atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for a breakfast with unlimited coffee!
This was our favorite restaurant during our 2 week stay in Merida. We visited 2x for breakfast, 2x for dinner. We were happy to be taken care of by Ricardo. The service was consistently excellent and food was delicious, good portions and prices as well. The only place I saw where fish tacos was on menu for breakfast! We liked that the place combines local and upscale restaurant elements without being pretentious.
Definitely a great restaurant ! The food is amazing and the atmosphere's is great, the waitress is so nice. We spent 36.00dls

Absolutely excellent, attentive service. Poc Chuc flavorful and great, about $11 USD. The dessert that I had was tiramisu flavored with xtabentun and it was to DIE for. I'd go back for that desser…

The first time I came here, I thought the place was fancy. Came in and made a reservation for where we wanted to sit. The food was good, and the service they provided was great. The servers are kind, and patient. Their salbudes are good. I would come visit again when I come back.
If you're looking for a quite an relaxing time restaurant this is the place. The food was delicious 😋, everything was clean and shiny, well organized 👌. Really good spot they are located in Centro, Mérida, you can park around the block walking distance. The waitress service could be better, attention to details: the table was yingueling like jello (wsitress: ok I know what happened) but ignore 😳, so we decided to move to another table 😉. We ask for the ticket and wait for almost half hour and as you can see in the pictures was not full.
What impressed me most about this place is the exquisite decor. Tiled walls and embroidered backrests share space with modern lighting fixtures and straight-line furniture. All in all, the effect is both tasteful and very pleasant. The same can be said about the food albeit to a slightly lesser degree. The portions are also not as generous as you get at ma and pa restaurants but that's to be expected. Breakfast for 2 will run you about 300 pesos. In my opinion, worth it.
We went here three times. The first time was pretty good, although they started us with a list of items that they were out of. The guacamole was plentiful and very good. All of us had good meals. …
This place is great for introducing you to Yucatecan flavors or starting the day (breakfast or lunch). The portions are small but perfect to satisfy you. The traditional flavors are there but not as strong, making it ideal to be an introductory meal to the area and get your word used to regional food. For lunch, I enjoyed Omelette de frijol y panela. (relleno de queso panela con chaya bañado en salsa de frijol, servido con chaya frita y aguacate local). It's a low-key place with affordable prices and friendly staff in downtown Merida.
We had breakfast here, it was good, filling and good priced. They have a lot of traditional Yucatán dishes, so if you want to try cochinita, panuchos, papadzules, this is a great place. They also have chilaquiles and fried eggs. Lovely chairs with embroidered flowers, socially distanced tables, good service and A/C to escape the scolding Mérida sun.
It’s mediocre at best. The service was SO slow (like everywhere else in this city) and the food was nothing special. It took about 50 minutes for it to come and then it was ice cold. We had to repeat things 20 times for them to bring it (the check, extra things, silverware). Plus everyone felt ill after eating. The place is nice and comfortable to sit.
Everything looked great, and staff were reasonably nice until we had an issue with one of the entree’s. The octopus taco’s were spoiled rotten, to the point where we could not stand it in front of us. Think ammonia with rotten fish smell. We let the waiter know, that the dish was bad and she seemed to agree and be apologetic. However, it was still included in our bill, and when asked they said that it wasn’t bad, but it all it needed was lime. This was not true, and I hope no one ate that for their health’s sake. A huge disrespect to the Merida and Yucatan people to say that they eat rotten fish, in my opinion. We did not want to argue and ended up paying for it. The rest of the food was mostly plain and tasteless, lots of better food around that area. The ambiance was decent, albeit a little empty. Probably the worst place we’ve had food in Yucatán so far. Would not recommend.
