Situado junto al arco de Trajano en la ciudad de Mérida, fuimos de visita a la ciudad y comimos allí, dispone de salones de interior y una gran terraza, nos atendieron muy bien y la comida formidable, nos encantó todo, un gran nivel y de precio acorde a la calidad, recomiendo reservar antes, sin duda un lugar para repetir y lo recomiendo al 100%.

Llegamos a las 14:00 antes que nos dieran el apartamento. El restaurante estaba lleno, pero uno de los camareros que había , Carlos, nos atendió de maravilla y nos buscó mesa y nos dió un servicio espectacular. La comida es espectacular y el servicio de todo el personal exquisito. El pulpo increíble y el tataki con huevo un espectáculo. Recomendable 100%. Si estás en la hermosa ciudad de Mérida, no dejes de ir a almorzar o cenar allí. Me he quedado enamorado de la ciudad y de Sybarit.

La atención que te brindan es magnífica, y la comida un espectáculo. Aunque todo estaba realmente rico, lo que mas nos gustó sin dida fue la ensaladilla rusa con huevo frito, una combinación muy potente que te deja con ganas de más. Sin duda volveré

Uno de mis sitios favoritos en Mérida , siempre que vas no fallan, tanto la atención en el servicio como la como la comida, especial mención a Nerea que fue la chica que nos atendió, muy atenta y simpatica

La comida es absolutamente deliciosa! Tanto que repetimos el lugar para cenar. En el almuerzo pedimos croquetas, almejas y brocheta de pescado y de postre una tarta de galletas que estaba INCREÍBLE! Para la cena como no teníamos reserva pedimos tapas, que están muy bien servidas y super ricas. Un lugar que sin duda visitaré cuando vuelva a Mérida.

Gran comilona. Uno de los mejores descubrimientos culinarios de este viaje. Nos recomendaron este sitio y fue un gran acierto venir. El camarero fue muy simpático, con muy buenas recomendaciones sobre las tapas y la comida, y fue sincero con la cantidad de comida a pedir. La comida fue excelente, muy buen producto y muy bien elaborada. Pedimos el solomillo y lomo de vaca madurada, el tataki y tartar de atún, las croquetas de sepia negra con alioli, el pulpo y la pluma ibérica. Para rematar, de postre pedimos el tiramisú, el pastel de cerveza negra y el pastel de galletas. Las porciones de los postres son muy generosas. En resumen, el precio está justificado y lo recomendamos!

Our waitress, Atella (Jan 24)was simply fantastic! Jesus at Our hotel recommended the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The selection was excellent and when I asked what her favorites were we had to try them… yum! Would highly recommend this restaurant. It was a short walk from the Plaza de Espana and worth the walk. The amazing thing is they served food before 8, so hard to find in Spain

Great first meal in Merida. Tuna, croquetas , prawns and ravioli in a mushroom sauce. Apart from the ham croquettas the food was outstanding. The ravioli and prawns (lightly battered in a squid ink concoction were absolutely delicious . The fact that they resisted the temptation to add truffle flavouring to the mushrooms was a welcome relief and the taste of the mushrooms stood out. Well worth a visit

We went to Sybarit for tapas on a Saturday afternoon, when everyone else had the same idea. Despite this, they managet to get us a table pretty fast. We had the classical tapas of ensaladilla with huevo frito and gambones with black tempura, both excellent. The tarta de queso for dessert was good, a bit too eggy. The semidulce wine was excellent with dessert, cool and not too sweet.

Absolutely fabulous food in this delightful restaurant. The Tuna Tataki was incredible. We also had the smoked sardines and then Stewed Pork Cheeks. Everything was delicious and well worth the money. Added to this our waiter was so friendly and helpful and finally the wine was delicious.

Spectacular restaurant, food and service are amazing. If it is full, put your name in the waiting list, do not walk away to another. The meat is great, the deserts are from even. Tarte de galleta or tarta de cerveza preta are the best in town. If you go to Merida this restaurant is a must.

The best tapas in town for sure! We had foie gras, shrimps tempura in red panko, jamon de bellota, croquetas with sepia and anchovies! They have they own local wine. It was splendid!

La ensaladilla espectacular, al igual que la brocheta macerada. El solomillo de cerdo macerado, estaba un pelín más hecho de lo que debería pero muy bueno, además el boniato le da un toque, y la salsa estaba espectacular. Las croquetas no me las volvería a pedir, están correctas, para mi gusto echo en falta una cobertura mas consistente y crujiente y una bechamel más liquida, aunque quizás con los ingredientes (morcilla, manzana y almendras) no se pueda, pero igualmente el sabor, sin más. La tarta de galletas, diferente, muy rica. El servicio y el lugar, genial. Si volviera, repetiría.

Combina la visita a un sitio histórico con la buena comida. Aunque debo decir que el servicio para reservar mesa necesita un poco de mejora, la espera fue un poco larga. Pero, ¡la comida! Estaba todo perfectamente emplatado. Cada bocado era una explosión de sabores, ¡todo exquisito! Y la terraza era super acogedora, el ambiente era perfecto. Definitivamente volveré, ¡valió la pena la espera!

Sybarit goes beyond the typical restaurants in Mérida by providing a more refined, creative take on Spanish cuisine. There are several unusual items on the menu, like tenderloin carpaccio or ravioli filled with foie gras. We kept it rather classic and had the Russian salad, tuna tartar, cuttlefish croquetes and the "lagarto ibérico" (thin strip of Iberian pork). All four dishes were good but somewhat subdued in flavor and not remarkable enough to order them again. On the plus side, many dishes have a small "tapa" version, which allows you to try several things. And the outdoor seating with views of the Trajan Arch is pretty nice.

We came for lunch and they were full. Made reservations for dinner. If you want to go here, you should reserve!! It is quite popular. We started with Croquettes mixed. Four were cuttlefish and cream bread mix. Excellent. Super creamy and moist on inside. Five pieces were ham and cheese bread mix. Also very good. Tasted like a scallop potato. Both melted in your mouth. The second appetizer was Seared tuna. It was so good we dove in and forgot to photograph. They were perfectly seared with pepper crust and the twist was that it was also slightly marinated in a beef broth. Extra salty but good. Topped with a flavorless avocado but it added a neat splash of color to the darkish tuna slices. Generous portion. For dinner I had a Cuttlefish served like fajitas with hummus in base of the veggies. The Cuttlefish body is unstuffed and grilled. It was slightly chewy as it should be. The best part were the grilled crispy tentacles. Wish there had been more. My husband had Lamb chops w a scallop potato. Lamb was medium rare as it should be but a little too rare for me. Perfect for him. Had all this w a bottle of Duero. Perfect dinner.

Lugar agradable pero….. Se quedó en la intención! De entrada unas croquetas q no estaban mal y las sardinas ahumadas ricas. La ensaladilla no tenía ni langostinos ni cangrejo, todo muy procesado, mayonesa y huevos fritos arriba 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Lo ravioles con foie no me gustaron, no es una combinación q me resultó sabrosa! Los que comieron el chuletón les gustó y era muy tierno. Las mollejitas de cordero pasaban pero nada descollante, ni para recordar. Yo no comí casi nada, lejos de parecerme bueno…. Como dije al principio se quedo en la intención!

Limited selection of wines by the glass and all of them are from their own label. The local red and whites we had were okay. Disappointed to see that the only vegetarian tapa option was a cheese plate. Even the main menu had only salads available for vegetarians.

Nice atmosphere/ambience, ok food except for the cuttlefish/calamari mains (barely cooked), though tuna starter delicious and iberian pork cheek in red wine, rich and delicious. Veg lacking. Shame about the fish mains. Service average to inattentive. However, we much enjoyed our dark beer (cerveza roja) and olives pre-dinner.

This was recommended by the hotel however it was extremely disappointing. The food was mediocre and the service was very poor. The waitress was clearly not too interested or focused. She missed two of our orders. The hamburger was raw and we could not eat it. The only good thing was the environment and the surroundings.

We waited an hour for a table even though there were 5 empty tables inside. The service was incredibly slow and the food was not good. Our tatake de atun tasted like it had gone bad and the raviolis were tasteless and cold. Overall, we were very disappointed. The sardines, croquetas, and tataki presa were good.
