I picked this restaurant because of the location, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food. The person who waited on us was so nice and professional. The varied food items we ordered were all delicious. I will go back there if we go to that area again.

The asparagus risotto with salmon and scallops was very rich in flavour and incredibly tasty. Escalope de boeuf was nicely combined with pasta with tomato sauce. The plates came rather quickly considering the size of the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious!! Service was excellent. Definitely recommend. The waiter and waitress were great with letting us learn a little French.

Lovely café with a good choice of menu items. I had the Cobb Salad which was delicious. Often salads in Paris are mostly lettuce with little else, but this one was perfectly balanced. Very good service from a friendly waiter. Popped upstairs to use the toilets and the first floor salon is really lovely - will choose to sit up here when I return in winter.

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The food was great!! Our server, Marley's. was terrific.. She was attentive, informative , conscientious to our food allergies, and made our dining experience extra wonderful!!

Visited this cafe on a busy Friday night. Staff quickly got us seated and ready to order. JB was a friendly and entertaining server. We had the best time and the food was delicious!

I was really surprised !!! After a long trip to visit. We decided to stop in this tiny Brasserie. Holyyyy !!! Really enjoy this moment. All staff spoke English so well, really Friendly and advised about “Le Plat du Jour” like “specials”. Prices was good and food like we want to enjoy in Paris. Definitely my Spot !!!! Wonderful place to have coffee and the breakfast is great. The location is excellent and the atmosphere is fantastic. It is a very clean and cute place to spend a few hours reading and relaxing.

We chose this for our breakfast on Sunday - market day - in the sunshine. Great offer at 6€ for coffee & juice with good quality pastry & bread/butter/jam. Good service too.

Location is perfect for people watching in Place de la Bastille but set back enough to enjoy your company undisturbed. Prices are average for curbside seating in a Paris special location, espresso wasn't bad, and staff were extremely friendly.

We spent a lovely couple of hours in the café Milou yesterday. The service was friendly and efficient and the food ( we shared a Camembert then had the Rump-steak) was delicious. The atmosphere is lively and it’s in a very interesting area. A very convenient location for a pre-theatre meal, too. Recommended.

The food, service and atmosphere was much better than it looks from outside. Give it a try. Service was great, food was nice with large portions. We sat upstairs, nice and quiet.

This restaurant is where you can get the superb view of Bastille. It’s best to sit outside to absorb the winter vibe and watch people even though their heaters are not very warm. The service is efficient and friendly. The room upstairs is pretty. P.S. the guacamole had too much onion to my taste, but it was not bad.

This is one of our favorite places in Paris for relaxed eating. It has indoor and outdoor seating that’s available all day. The food and service here is always fantastic! Our server, Stephanie, is a delight! She was kind enough to let us practice our French, but she has helped us out with English during past visits.

Very nice place to grab a breakfast if you are living in a Bastille. Croissant delivered here was one of the best I tried in Paris as it was newly baked and still hot. Baguette was also perfect. Dinner was normal, nothing great. I recommend having breakfast there.

Had some cocktails and snacks which were ok for the location. They had happy hour so a Moscow Mule for example was 8 instead of 10 euros. Tasty fries and interesting cheese quesadillas. They had a lot of international snacks or “tapas”. Food service was quite slow but cocktails were served fast. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff.

Good place for coffee and snacks with a nice view. I liked the music - they played the 90s, Manu Chao et al. A bit pricey.

Lovely traditional French bistro

Been here many times, this is my go to place to invite people to have a coffee/beer. Right at the mouth of the Bastille metro exit (8) this is easy to locate and get to for people outside Paris. Will keep coming here!

The food and drinks were really good but unfortunately the service upstairs was quite poor. Ordering drinks in between or desert was almost impossible. The restaurant was also a bit hot (while it was cold outside). Other than that, great experience! Would recommend it especially if the service improved.

The phuket plate (pictured) was 20 euros for a meal worth sharing as a simple-but-simply tasty lunch. Service was good, quick and pleasant on top. Merci! The ever present hornets were a bit of a plague however, but I guess c'est la vie?

Lovely atmosphere, very quick service, and generous serving amounts. We had the acai bowl and eggs on toast for breakfast, both of which were simple with no frills but clearly had excellent ingredients.

Milou burger is excellent. Real meat ! Good service at 2230 on a busy Sat night. Decent value and good location.

We came for drinks and the atmosphere. Service was mixed - some servers were helpful and friendly, others not so much. We didn't eat, so can't speak to the food, but we had a lovely time while there.

The location is great! If the weather is nice, sitting on the patio and seeing the sights and sounds of Bastille is great. We came for breakfast and was pretty disappointed with the food. We got eggs and toast and the eggs were sitting in a pool of liquid which makes me think the eggs were reheated, which causes the moisture to escape. The temperature of the eggs was also really hot on top but lukewarm in the middle. The eggs and toast was 14 euros which to me was not worth it given the quality. Service was good and the atmosphere is great but I wouldn’t come back for the food.

Good place for sitting and people watching. Nice street level viewing. The food didn’t quite do it for us. Risotto was a little bland for what I’m used to. But the carbonara was good.

I can't say anything about the food but the mojito and coffee were tastless (guess they are using pregrounded coffee). Of course this place has a nice view and one of the waitresses was super friendly the same can't be said about her colleague 😬

Not impressed. The onion soup had no depth of flavour, the raclette bowl was a load of cold meats amongst an insipid salad and alongside a portion of lukewarm cheese sauce. My companion's prawn risotto was like rice pudding with shell-on prawns and no finger bowl. So poor I didn't even have a dessert (which is almost unheard of).

Service Slow. Food Order completely forgotten in the kitchen (no excuse given), coffee small and average (and too expensive), cappuccino with the wrong milk delivered (no excuse given neither).

The place is well located, but the overall experience leaves much to be desired. The staff is unfriendly, and their attitude while serving is quite unpleasant—it’s clear they are uncomfortable, which creates an awkward atmosphere. On the outdoor terrace, they place an excessive number of tables and chairs, to the point where they take over the sidewalk. Pedestrians pass so close that they can even bump into your table and move it with your things on it. Overall, the service is poor. The food is average at best, and the dessert I ordered was poorly prepared. Although they do have English-speaking staff, the place itself is in need of serious renovation. The decor and atmosphere feel neglected and outdated. In short, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a pleasant all-around experience.

Nice waiter and place. Food was terrible : bland salads and pasta. We were 4 but 3 of us left half of their plate…

We left because we saw two mice upstairs. The waiter couldn’t have cared less and told us “there are mice everywhere in Paris.” This was after we waited an hour to try to order.

I know Remy is french, but did not expect to see him staring at us from the middle of the dining room floor. When mentioned to waiter we got a speech about how there are 50 mice per person in paris.

we were there people waiting for our friend, we ordered one cocktail and one fries so we can order the rest when our friend arrives. The waiter came back to us saying their responsable won’t accept this order for three people. Either we order more or we leave. I found it extremely impolite and offensive.

3 awful dishes. Onion soup was bland (bread tasted off also); la Tigre Pleure meat was inedible chewy and had to be returned; Healthy salad had canned pineapple and mushy red beans, no dressing so we asked for olive oil which seemed a watered down oil and had funny taste (color was clear). They did remove the meat dish from the bill.

Unbearable behavior of the staff and the rules of the cafe. I had just eaten lunch in the centre and came there only because a friend of mine was hungry. The waitress told me that I need to order something, otherwise I must leave the cafe. Let’s say, if you come here with your wife, and she is on a diet and don’t eat after 6 pm, she should wait for you outside or buy something even if she doesn’t want to. Had never seen such a non-client oriented behaviour in any place in the world!

The service in this restaurant is truly bad . It felt like the waiters and bartenders do not care about their clients. Because of that I will prefer other restaurants in the future.

Horrible experience. I booked a table through their website and received confirmation, but upon arrival, the rude waiter claimed I hadn’t booked. Even after I showed proof, he dismissed it, blaming a colleague for not informing him. Then, he told me that the kitchen wouldn’t open until noon (it was 11:45). So I asked if I could order a drink while waiting, and he condescendingly replied, "Exceptionally, I’ll allow it" (as if I had asked for something unreasonable). When I went to the bar to order cappuccinos and returned upstairs, this waiter followed me quickly, demanding in a very aggressive and imposing tone to know what I had ordered. (Instead of asking his colleague). I reassured him that the barman had taken the order, but he continued speaking to me rudely. I directly asked him why he was being so aggressive, to which he responded that it was only my perception (instead of having the decency to at least apologize) Both my friend and I felt very uncomfortable and even a bit traumatized by this man’s behavior. I wouldn’t return if this man is still working there. A part from that the omelette was good.

Went to Milou last week & couldn't sit inside because of the "Mouse" that I found there moving between our legs!!! & the waiters there didn't even care! Obviously they are used to the mice at their coffeeshop! I don't advise anyone to go there..Probably the mice are cooking with them in the kitchen:/ (&you can read other reviews here they saw rats too!)
