Opiniones de El Floridita Seafood Restaurant - Bird Road Miami
Very simple, light, beautifully done home-style Cuban seafood dishes, very attentive service and clean restaurant, you can tell they have high standards. A steady crowd of locals bring the place to life along with very fitting nautical decor. Great, classic, Miami spot. Ernesto was great as well :)
the atmosphere was great, the service outstanding and friendly prompt staff who explained the menu items , we could not have asked for a better experience and when we stayed to keep chatting up old friends we were not rushed out
I’ve been wanting to go for a long time. It was delicious. Will be going back. Highly recommend. Our kids liked the food also. Just delicious. And everyone was so nice. Very impressed.
Food was delicious service was great.the food wasn’t expensive
Simply love it!!!! Any time of the day! The food and treatment is simply the best
I'm visiting relatives in the area and she suggested this restaurant a few block from her house. The food is absolutely delicious, the battered fish was spot-on, pure de malanga, frituritas de malanga, sopa de pollo, all tasted just perfect. Will be coming back for more battered fish before I leave Miami. The service was the best, she took the time to explain and suggest options. Muy rica la comida y tremendo servicio.
I love this location. It’s our third time here and it never disappoints. Very good food, everything was well seasoned and delicious. Our server Reindel was a treat, he was caring and very attentive. He even served us the paella and made sure to explain the menu in great detailed. Another great night ! We even got shots and they were delicious, get the melon flavored !
I never expected to find such a nice place like this. I had the pleasure to be served by Ernesto. He is the best. The menu is amazing it has so many choices!!!. The food was extremely good. It was fresh and the flavor would tell you that it was made just after we ordered. It is natural (not frozen) and it is organic. The service was also amazing, they are all professionals at what they do. The atmosphere was also excellent. They played Boney M while we were there and it made me remember those times when I was a kid. I really recommend everybody to visit this place you will not regret it
WOW! Excellent service and the fish is fresh! Been twice so far and we will keep going. Prices are super fair!
We ordered a large seafood paella for takeout. The rice was cooked properly and the amount of seafood was generous. There were several lobster tails which were tender and perfectly cooked. One of the best paellas that I've had in South Florida. The service was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating even on a busy Sunday. I would definitely recommend.
This place does not exist anywhere else. This restaurant truly deserves a Michelin star. The food is always fresh, natural and organic. The service is wonderful, everyone there is amazing and the quality of the food is spectacular. This place deserves all the recognition it can get because there’s is no place like El Floridita. Truly a 5 star restaurant.
I love this place so much. From the service to the food which is really good!!! I come here at least once or twice weekly. The cuban beans are so homie, and the fish is delicious!! The lemonade is like homemade, who does that anymore? Will definitely recommend.
I recently visited this wonderful Latin restaurant with a friend and had an exceptional experience! We enjoyed delicious mussels, shrimp with sausage, and a rich, creamy lobster bisque. The highlight was definitely the rice with squid ink—flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was lively and inviting, and the friendly service enhanced our experience. Highly recommended for authentic Latin flavors and seafood lovers!
Took family here since we were in the area. Menu looks expensive ,but they also have a lunch menu with good options and it included a soup we had arroz Frito with shrimp, fried shrimp, grilled chicken, blackened fish fillet with mash Coach of those plates was $12. Unbelievable that they came with soup each. Taste was great so we will be back soon.
I went here for lunch and this was a good stop. I ordered the scallops with black beans and the sweet plantains I like. I ordered a crab cake appetizer which had 2 cakes and they were very good. I had a small lobster bisque. This scallops were blackened and tasted great. I do recommend
Had an amazing lunch here today. I gotta say this place is awesome 👍🏼 For only $20 I had all of this and a small fish soup 🍲 The quality and the taste was a solid 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was also great 😊 Thank you El Floridita, I will definitely be back for more soon.
What a great food!, taste really fresh but I recommend gnoses I’m bias for the seafood. It’s a traditional place that get full of old Cubans maybe because it brings some nostalgic memories from what they used to get back in the island, in fact I visited this place because my mother-in-law recommended it and I was amazed by the food quality and attention. Will get back on my next visit to Miami 👍
The best fried rice ever!
Hidden gem for fresh seafood! What a pleasant surprise to find this place. Highly recommend it. Customer service was A+. Ask for Mary!

I went to the window to grab coffee and had the best service and experience. Marlene was super nice and attentive. Her service was excellent. Coffee and croquetas were great
Great spot, wonderful service, makes you feel like your family. The food was delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable.

The portions are huge and food is certainly fresh. I enjoyed the experience and side options very much. The only downfall is that not all staff have the enjoyable and welcome attitude of our waitress which put a damper. At one point it even felt like a woman “tossed” the place on the table with no etiquette. The sauce is super fresh and they cater to preferences and needs. I wouldn’t recommend what they call creole or Caribbean sauce as it’s a homemade tomato sauce that tastes out of a can. Contrary to that, the garlic sauce was lovely and so was the appetizer of shrimp and chorizo. I’d return if craving some fresh seafood in the future, not for the service but a nice casual experience with family who may visit especially if they are picky about the cleaning of seafood because it is up to par.
I wanted to try this restaurant for a while, and I finally got to. I was feeling for something simple, so I ordered the fried shrimp, with jasmine rice and a nice house salad. I had to say it was just what I wanted. The shrimp were nicely chrisp, but not over done. Salad was simple, but good. And of course the rice was good as any restaurant in Miami must. I will go again, when I have more time and can try some of the more elaborate dishes.
The food was very aurhentic and consistent with it being Cuban cuisine. It's organic!!! Cuban organic food? My first time ever!!! Other than in Cuba where they hand picked it from a garden field. It's very exciting! If you're a wine and beer lover, then you're in luck. I was in the mood for a Bloody Mary, but they don't serve hard liquor. I settled for a housemade freshly squeezed lemonade which, I absolutely recommend. They also have freshly squeezed OJ but that's my go to usually, so decided to switch it up. Let me know how it is. Usually, you can't go wrong with Florida oranges. My favorite! The food was a good amount and quite tasty. I loved the $10 combo that included soup, salad for extra$2, entree, and dessert. Absolute great deal! We were three eating, so we each chose a different Cuban dessert and shared. All three were delicious. Sorry, forgot to take a picture. We were too fast at eating them.😆 The rest of the menu had plenty to choose from but pricier.💸💰 Probably well worth it. The $10 combo...well, its $10 for so much food with plenty of choices. You can't go wrong. Why 4 stars? The service, our waiter was a bit slow, forgetful, and a bit serious. I didn't get my lemonade well after 15 minutes. That's one guy, so I still recommend going and hopefully the service is better for you. All in all I'd go again for the price and food... I can deal, because it is one.⭐⭐⭐⭐
First of all, it is quite an upgrade since we last went there. Food is absolutely great. Now service staff is A1. He completely answered all our questions and recommendations. Will be back soon.
A bit disappointed I came for a Grouper soup, impressed by the fish showcase I asked for a fried whole snapper (> 2lb) $35. I’m fine with that till the food companions were not right. I wanted salad (that’s extra). I wanted Fried green plantains (that’s extra). I had to express my disappointment and canceled the whole fried snapper. Establishment very nice and beautiful. Restrooms clean, dining area impressive, and service great. My complaint is don’t want rice or vegetables or beans or mash, no accommodations. I know owners are well off because the place is packed. I understand that greens have been affected by inflation. It will be my lost tonight. By the way soup was OK. Must add server after the fact offered to speak to management, but as my desire for the whole fried Snapper went away I only expressed my appreciation. Manager came to my table and I was able to express my concerns and for that they deserves an additional ⭐️. From a three to a four. When establishment show they care in my opinion they deserve an additional star.
So many friends that live in this area have always recommended El Floridita to me and I have finally gone! I went in for a Friday lunch with my boyfriend and at first worried I wasn't going to be able to eat there because of the atrocious parking! I know this is not the restaurants fault but beware friends of Yelp as I did have to drive in circles around it 6-7 times before I could snag a spot. I was surprised by how many people were there since it was pretty late in the afternoon, around 2:45, but that only told me that it was a local favorite and I was seated promptly at the bar. My server was very kind and we both decided to try their multi-coursed $10 deal (lunch/dinner) which includes soup, a main entree, and dessert or coffee. Since I had been out of Miami for the past couple weeks, I just had to have croquetas so we began our meal with ham and fish croquetas that were delicious! The fish croquetas were very well done and I appreciated the limes served with them. We then both opted to have fish soup with our $10 meal that came in a decently sized cup. My boyfriend absolutely loved it, but I was not too much of a fan and ended up giving him the rest of mine. Next for our entrees he had the squid ink rice which came with sweet plantains (no choice of sides which was not needed with how large the portion was) and I went for the fried Mahi Mahi chunks with white rice, beans, and plantains. His dish was absolutely amazing and well worth the money spent----truly delicious and savory! I felt my meal was just okay and that I should have gone with a different entree though my fish was cooked well, I just felt they didn't serve enough with it. I will say that the black beans here were top notch and considerably better than most places!
Get the combo! It’s served all day every day and it has many different options to choose from. I got the garlic blackened shrimp with a side of maduros and black beans, and it came with a choice of soup and dessert. The main dish was very tasty, the garlic sauce was amazing and it tasted great combined. I ordered the tomato soup which wasn’t anything out of the ordinary but still good. I got the flan which was delicious. The portions were probably my favorite part about this place; I didn’t feel super bloated at the end but I still felt full and I tried a variety of different things.

El Floridita offers top-notch service that genuinely enhances the dining experience. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, making sure you feel well taken care of throughout your visit. However, the food falls short of expectations. Despite the impressive presentation, the dishes lack the bold flavors you might hope for. If you're seeking exceptional service and don't mind a more subdued culinary experience, El Floridita might still be worth a visit. For me, the lack of flavor in the food is why I’m giving it three stars.
The restaurant was very nice and nicely decorated, very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and kind. I'm from New England and used to different fish choices and don't really care for what they had available. I ordered lobster bisque and I probably wouldn't order it again, it was a bit sweet but a very nice presentation. My friend ordered fried shrimp and that came with chicken noodle soup which she didn't want so I ate that and it was delicious. She also go a salad and it was a good size and very fresh. There were six shrimp on her plate so we split those which were tasty but a bit greasy. I would say that you should try it, they do have lots of options and there will probably be something you might enjoy if you like the fish options they have. Everything looked fresh. One more thing, the rolls were served warm with the most delicious garlic butter 🧈 😋 I'm sure if you wanted to try them you could call ahead and inquire about what kind of fish 🐟 they are serving that day and it would be easy to decide.

08/28/2025 Few things are more frustrating for a diner than feeling deceived, and sadly, that was my experience here. Perhaps this approach worked for years, but today there are many better alternatives in Miami for quality seafood. Food: Poor, scarce, and overpriced. A clear example: a portion of branzino consisted of just half a fish, priced at $50, when a whole piece costs around $9. Service: Honesty is key to building customer loyalty, and claiming a branzino is “fresh” when it’s not even a Florida fish is simply unacceptable. Ambience: The restaurant was full thanks to the daily special, yet most diners seemed to be eating anything but the house specialty. Conclusion: Miami is surrounded by ocean, offering an incredible variety of local fish. A seafood restaurant should take advantage of that richness, revisiting both its menu and its pricing strategy.

I asked for them to bread the Mahi Mahi sandwich, but the note didn't go through. It was as bland as it could be No seasoning, no lemon wedge, just plain fish for $26 00. The homemade chips were the same! No taste at all! Use some seasonings and bring out the taste of the products! I'll try something else next time, but my meal was extremely 😞
They put the prices so high a minuta with chips 16.00 a couple years ago I was getting a combo the minuta, chips soup and drink for 8.00 and I think the fish is good but the price is sky high. Last time I go
Been going to El Floridita for many years. Always had the specials and gave them so much by mouth propaganda it’s not even funny. Took my Mom yesterday for lunch and we were so disappointed. The new kind of fish for the special was absolutely terrible and to add the rice was cold. The best thing on the table was the soup and the Caesar Salad. We were both so upset. We were such big fans :(
