At some point during the meal, I found myself wondering if everyone there owned the restaurant. Not because they said it, but because of how they moved through the space—with confidence, care, and quiet pride. Each interaction felt personal, as if the place belonged to them and they were inviting you into it. That kind of presence can’t be trained or faked; it comes from a culture that values craft, respect, and shared purpose. You feel it in the service, and you taste it in the food. An extra special thank you to Jovel who treated me like a queen and a member of the family like his own.
Best Margarita ever!!! Una Vodka drinks excellent! The tacos are the best of Miami. The bar team is incredible good and friendly.
Jaguar is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. I’ve been there over five times, and every visit has been consistently amazing, both in service and in food. Every single dish I’ve tried has been an absolute banger. The flavors are fresh, vibrant, and totally unforgettable. And don’t even get me started on the desserts, they’re SO delicious and unique. But what really sets Jaguar apart for me is the service. Let’s be real, Miami isn’t exactly famous for great service. But Jaguar breaks that mold every time. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of. We’re never left waiting long for a refill or a check-in. If you're looking for a spot that delivers incredible food, top-notch service, and a consistently great experience, Jaguar is 100% worth your time and money. Highly recommend!
Happened to walk by this restaurant as we were searching for a place to eat in Coconut Grove close to our hotel at Courtyard Marriot. We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman outside who quickly walked us through the menu and answered our questions. We decided to walk in for a lunchtime sitting. The place was very clean and the menu clearly explained all the different Latin dishes. Our server was extremely professional and knew all the dishes on the menu and made some really good recommendations. All in all thoroughly enjoyed the food and service and would recommend this restaurant.
Everything was a 10/10 I definitely recommend especially for tourists who might be concerned about sitting outside to catch a great view of the scenery. There are multiple servers and even the owners outside standing close by at all times making sure you feel safe comfortable and welcomed . The waitress we met was so nice and she was funny and just a vibe I came here to try a new dish, I was very skeptical about but when I tried it I feel in love with it instantly come here if you want to try new food and have a nice time enjoying your food while gettin the guaranteed help and treatment you deserve.
Love it here!!! I’ve been coming for about 2.5 years now and I am always taken care of so well. The managers Paul and Jorge are amazing and really make sure you have a good experience. Calamari is always a hit and the steak tacos are to die for. Sangria is a MUST!!! Best red sangria in all of coconut grove!! Do not hesitate to come here!
Excellent food with large portions. The grilled fish tacos had a full filet of Mahi Mahi in each taco! Cerviche is a must. Unique dessert options...whole desserts or you can order a large spoonful of any dessert for $2. We had dinner for four and everyone loved it. We are planning on having dinner for 15 there very soon.
Been coming here for years. It's nice to see that this place has lasting power. Incredible small selection of menu items, but all are sure to please the most discriminating pallet. Generous Happy Hour with longer hours than most. Nice weekly lunch specials; all different. Looking forward to many more visits in the years to come. Bravo!
Our timing was perfect for dinner—during happy hour! The pisco sours were great, and we were delighted that ceviche was on the happy hour menu. By far the ceviche was the best we’ve ever eaten! The fish entrees with delicious sides were exceptional. This restaurant deserves its popularity. It is exceptional.
Delicious food. And delicious drinks. My cousin had her rehearsal dinner and it was a great time. I had the skirt steak - definitely recommend.

We absolutely love coming here! This has long been our go-to spot for incredible ceviche and a fantastic happy hour. The food remains delicious, and we're thrilled they've now added happy hour menu to table service The staff is always top-notch - friendly, professional, and welcoming every time. The ambiance is just perfect. It’s a small thing, but it makes a difference. So I’ll mention this; in hopes that they would reconsider the charging for small side canchitas (toasted corn), which many other ceviche restaurants offer complimentary. Also, the presentation of the large ceviche has changed, and sadly, the portion is noticeably smaller than before — it’s way to delicious to give up any bites. This place continues to be one of our favorites, and we hope they reconsider these recent changes! ;)
When we got there the place was slammed! When the food arrived I realized why why. The food was spectacular but the service was the best part of our visit. George was really the saving grace and mostly part of the reason we’ll return. He was SO knowledgeable of the dinner service and answered my many questions with grace and knowledge. I could see him floating around the bar and tables around us making sure every table was taken care of. The drinks were spectacularly delicious thanks to Mr. George and with his help behind the bar we finally got them. All in all, i would return and recommend Jaguars. It’s been a staple in Miami for over a decade for a reason
Jovel, our server and bartender, was fantastic! He treated us like family from the moment we sat down. Not only did he recommend the best appetizers but also made the yummiest old fashioned drinks. Do yourself a favor and visit Jaguar Restaurant on a Sunday. You will love the food, service and atmosphere!
Very tasty and delicious food, you can grab top plates from different Latin-American countries: classic corvina ceviches with good price and option to order only half portion, we also tried the black market ceviche which was my favorite with a yellow sauce similar to leche de Tigre. The picanha was tender and cooked as we ordered came with some veggies also grilled and very nice served. We also tried the pork tacos, they are huge we could not finished them! The cilantro soup for soup lovers can be a great starter!
Our server, Joel, was very friendly and professional. We had the salmon dish and it was superb; kudos to the chef. We definitely recommend this place. We will be back.
Delicious! Jaguar is a local favorite with fantastic meals every time. Their appetizers, especially the guacamole with pork rinds are delicious. Personal favorites include the ceviche, the fish/steak tacos, and the churrasco. Meals are very filling, but if you have room then try to have the Palomas de Cajeta for dessert! It’s a delicious crepe with hazelnuts, mascarpone, and dulce de leche!
I was in the mood of taking the family somewhere chill and stylish so decided to come here. It was a great choice! We were greeted with smiles and our waiter Gilberto was extraordinary! He had great suggestions and was funny and very attentive. The food also was delicious and you can taste the freshness of the fish, the vegetables of all the ingredients. For example my mother ordered the Quinoa salad with salmon and I tried some of hers and it was like having a tropical oasis in my mouth. Great combination of the mango with the quinoa etc. Also the tuna nikkei was different utilizing pumpkin seeds, leche de jaguar and it really isn't spicy but jalapeños was mild. Overall the experience starting from entering the establishment till the end of our meals was stupendous. Would definitely come back and hope that Gilberto is there too.
Shared some appetizers that were delicious. The atmosphere was very nice and the plants stole the show for me. It gave it a homey touch. Would come back again!
Been in Coconut Grove for 6 days and this has been the best meal! We've felt welcomed from the minute we were seated. The guacamole was great, really enjoyed the pork rinds. The cilantro soup was so good! Pork tacos and cheese quesadillas with chicken...so tasty. And the mojitos!!! The desserts were all so interesting. They were able to accommodate my hazelnut allergy. The waitress was attentive and kept us well cared for! Try this place! So good.
New edit: they renovated the place recently and added items to their happy hour menu, I’m obsessed. Jaguar keeps getting better and better. We’ve been here several tienes over the course of the last two years since we moved and this place is top notch! My favorites are the steak tacos and the picanha with the salad that had the jalapeño sauce. The flan is AMAZING. The margaritas, delicious. We were happy to see they offer their amazing merken sauce for sale. Our server Daniela was really nice, Eduardo gave us great recommendations, the managers Paul and George made us feel so welcomed. We love coming here. One of the best places in the area. Never disappoints! 💕
Quick lunch with our 1yo, outside, very nice service with a special attention from Paul -manager- who is making sure everything is fine. We really appreciate him. Picaña and corvina cevice are both 10 out of 10 ! The must, is the possibility to try all of the dessert for 8$, we loved the idea and it was delicious.
If I could rate it 10 stars, I would. Hands down the best picanha I've ever had. Legitimately the best meal I had in Miami during my trip. We received a free Yelp ring light when checking in which was cool, but we also received a mescaltini and a black market ceviche. It had some sort of crunchy corn which I had never had. This was for a promotion promoting exploring businesses in the Coconut Grove area.
Had a great meal at Jaguar! We got there early bc we hadn't had lunch and had our pick of outdoor tables. Make reservations if you want to sit outside during peak hours. They are also dog friendly! We tried a white fish ceviche and tuna ceviche, both delicious. My wife had the Brazilian top sirloin, which was cooked to her request and very tender. I had the Miami spice 3 course, which included a ceviche, entree, a dessert, and a glass of house wine or sangria, all for $39. Given the portion sizes and quality, it's well worth it. I had the arroz con mariscos, seafood and rice on a light cream sauce... I loved it! It had calamari, octopus, mahi mahi, and shrimp. None of the seafood was chewy or overcooked, it was all very good! We really enjoyed and highly recommend! Definitely plan on returning!
We went here randomly, and it’s such a good decision! Wonderful happy h, good coffee! Nice tacos. We loved food
Jaguar is one of those places that surprises you the moment you walk in, the staff is super cordial, the food is incredible and the ambiance of the restaurant certainly screams miami-chic, the food came at a very decent serving time and they kept constantly asking how everything was.. overall worth of another visit soon.. highly recommended . The cheesecake with caramel ..
This was my first time here and my husband and I are obsessed! The service was great. They recommended the black market ceviche which was the best we’ve ever had that we ordered a second one! I got the steak tacos which were 11/10 and my husband got the chicken fried rice. We can’t wait to come back!
10/10!!! The food and drinks were amazing, the manager there was so wonderful, friendly and kind! Our server was also so incredible, absolutely loved everything! Can’t wait to go back for happy hour
After many years of not going to this place I can see why Jaguar is still a solid restaurant option in Coconut Grove. It does not disappoint. I was by myself, in low-key mode and decided to sit by the bar. I just ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and fries and everything was really good. I also had a variety of cocktails which were good too. I particularly recommend the “Costa Verde”. The service by Eduardo (Venezuelan bartender) was great! He was very friendly and attentive. Overall, sitting by the bar for dinner at Jaguar was a very pleasant and tasty experience. I recommend this place.
My wife and I have been coming to Jaguar almost every Saturday (and days in between) since 2013. The ownership and staff are like family and treat us that way. The food is tasty, creative, consistent, reasonably priced, and diverse in its offerings from ceviche to street tacos to perfectly grilled fresh fish. I have never had a bad meal, and, I must say, Chef Oscar totally stepped up his game during and after Covid thus earning even more of our respect and loyalty. He even has us try new additions he is planning to add to the menu. Love that! The two managers, George and Paul, NEVER disappoint. It's always a pleasure to see them and they ALWAYS take the time to not only pay attention to us, but ask us about family, etc. Another awesome Saturday lunch at Jaguar. Mahi fish tacos today for me and they were “off the hook”! George and Paul are always amazing! Thanks guys!! Finally, Chef's dad, who pops in for lunch most Saturdays we are there, always comes by to say hi. Come check it out. One of our fave neighborhood spots!! Jose and Hazel
This is the best ceviche in Miami, according to me. They use fresh corvina, and every single dish utilizes high-quality ingredients. If you're not a ceviche person, the menu is varied and balanced. They also have the best quesadilla, which you can customize with various proteins. Moreover, the service and the ambiance are always unmatched! This is why they've been successful in Coconut Grove for 20 years. I also had a ceviche cooking class with Chef Oscar here for my birthday, and everyone had an incredible experience!
We had an amazing experience at Jaguar! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the staff was wonderful. A special shoutout to Jovel — he was so kind, attentive, and really made our visit extra special. My husband and I will definitely be coming back, and we’ll be recommending Jaguar to all our friends and family! :-)
Eric provided an excellent first time experience for us. The menu is rich in variety without compromise. Both food and drinks were exquisite in depth of taste to go along the Coco Walk sidewalk buzz.
Amazing great time. From start to finish. Took wifey here for anniversary yesterday. Quick seating. Very attentive. Was able to squeeze us in for a drink during the end of Happy Hour. Every drink wifey order was amazing. Pisco sour, green costa verde, paloma, and leeches martini. Had great beer selection. Had an amazing favored Mexican beer. Jesus was an amazing bartender, talkative n explained drinks. Manger Luis is an expert mixologist, that costa verde drink was very unique n took ur taste buds to a new place. We end up having 3 apps and were to full. I'm looking forward to going back. Dog friendly n they have brunch. Coming back with our simba, hairy hotdog. HH 4pm to 7pm. Easy and affordable parking at the mall. Update.. went back for brunch on 3/31 with doggie. Had a few mimosas. Life luv her eggs rancho. I had the pulled pulled sandwich. Portions are good.
Fantastic restaurant! Service was great, food was delicious, drinks were tasty. Would definitely be back to try the ceviche sampler. The black market ceviche was on point. Would also recommend the three cheese quesadilla and chicken adobo thighs for appetizers. The guacamole was okay but would probably pass on it next time. The cocktails were also pretty good. You can even buy the sauces used in the ceviche to go which was nice.
Oh wow this is the best ceviche I have ever had. Also the most different options for ceviche I've ever seen- I wish I was with a bigger crowd so I could order one of each! The Black Market ceviche was definitely the table favorite, but honestly they were all so good, so much flavor. We had opted for the larger ceviche portions and that was a good call. While I could have gone all night eating just ceviche, I'm glad I also ordered the octopus, so tasty! My husband's Lomo Saltado was also very good. Naturally we had to get dessert, and the Palomas de Cajeta was incredible- a crepe with banana and cream with ice cream and a bit of dulce de leche. The service was really good, we were a sizable group that couldn't make up our minds and they were very patient with us. A pricey dinner but worth it!
Perfectly crafted cocktails, attentive staff, and delicious food all provided in a beautifully designed yet comfortable environment make this a Coconut Grove gem. From appetizers through desserts, every dish is flavorful and unique. Try the ceviche tostadas and the salmon, end with the dessert samples, just the right size!
Okay, this is exactly what I needed walking around Coconut Grove 🥥 on a hot summer day 😋 the cocktail list was impressive 👌 and the staff was welcoming and friendly. I had the Paloma sour but with Casa Dragon 🐉 anjeo. The bartender and bar manager Jailer and Anna made my day. Thank you so much. Plus the decor and the lights ✨️ 😍 💖. George Washington you are the man. I will come back.
Omg , I don’t want to leave a review cause it’s coconut grove best kept secret 🤭 . Not a big fun of their octopus 🐙, it was not marinated and not grilled enough for me but still giving it 5* as the other dishes and especially ceviche were beyond words. Their tuna ceviche was soo good that it shouldn’t be allowed . I have been there 3 times in the space of 5 days that’s how refreshing the taste was and you aren’t going to get it in NYC.
This place has a great customer service, very welcoming! Mr. Jovel, the manager greeted me with the most genuine smile and I felt so inspired to stay for at least a glass of wine, as I had already eaten and just exploring the Grove after many years away. I definitely will be back to try the food . The menu looks amazing! Thank you Jovel for your amazing service!
Great experience! My bartender was Jovel, he was quick to take my order and recommending the appetizers and cocktails, (he was always making sure I was enjoying my drink and food) I had tacos, ceviche and fried calamari, I also had spicy passion fruit margarita, mojito and my fav was the pisco sour. I had a great time, the ambiance, music, etc were great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The staff was very helpful and food was just amazing. Pricey but it was definitely worth it. The ceveches...on point for the three that we had and that grilled shrimp with black beans and rice was oh so delicious! Highly recommended if ever down in Miami! Don't miss this spot! Also, the chips and salsa...that salsa?! Had to buy it from them. Had to. Had to. Had to! Too good!
From the moment I walked up to Jaguar, it felt like it was going to be an amazing experience and it was! The ambiance inside and out, the hospitality of the hostess and everyone on their staff made you feel welcome and comfortable, and the menu quickly made this a place I want to frequent. I had the Mexico over Melon and wow, consider it to be one of my favorite cocktails ever - it is so well made, fresh ingredients shaken to perfection. The food is equally phenomenal, their fish dishes are worth the visit, and though I want to come back to try the full portion, the spoon bite option for the dessert is genius.
Decided to check out this restaurant after hearing how good it was from some friends and we were not disappointed! Not only is it a beautiful restaurant with an inviting bar, but everything we ate surpassed our expectations. But it wasn't the aesthetics or the food that has guaranteed we will come back, but the service. Jovel was exceptional in his attention to detail and made us feel like family from the very start. It's rare to receive the level of quality of service we did and we look forward to returning soon!
Absolutely loved this place. We ended up being there for happy hour and the drinks were half off which we loved. Also they poured heavy which again is amazing. Food was absolutely to die for, get the quinoa with the octopus, TRUST ME. The dish that just look like a bowl of cheese…oh my god it is so good, if you are a cheese lover DEFINITELY GET IT.
El mejor mesero es Adalberto! The service was phenomenal, the food was exceptional as always, and we felt so well taken care of. Jaguar is one of the few places in Coconut Grove that keeps its essence and energy, and keeps its regulars happy all the time!
Great dinner and service!! I love restaurants with a small menu but really great options and variety. Our choices were full on flavor, we tried the tuna ceviche to start, perfect texture and the green (cilantro I think) sauce was amazing!! I think I would work better with a few more tortilla chips. Then the cheese burger also delicious with skinny and a little spicy fries. And for last the steak tacos, saw this dish getting served on other tables, guess is a popular one, it was absolutely great, love the “make your own taco” kind of concept, good amount of beef and perfectly seasoned. Everything was delicious, the bar looks amazing, I saw a great table for large parties which could work perfect for a family celebration. Thank you for the service Mr Federico. Oh and the Jamaican mule with pisco: 5 stars!!! 👌🏻🍔🌮
The ceviche sampler + mojito was awesome. Definitely coming back to try more things. Shoutout Jovel for setting up a great vibe to start our evening.
First time at Jaguar and we had a really great experience. The service was great and their recommendations was excellent. Our waiter Paul was excellent and great with our kiddos! Will definitely recommend and come back!
Easily my favorite restaurant in Miami. I've been coming here for years, and it is always fantastic. Amazing ceviche (try the Peruano). The cocktails are amazing. Try the caiparinha Ipanema! Favorites entrees are the Churrasco, the pernil, the Picanha Adobada, and the Salmon Norma. All are consistently delicious. And don't miss the flan! It's also one of the most beautiful restaurants and bars I've ever been in, anywhere in the world. I can't recommend Jaguar highly enough.
Honestly, we booked an early valentine dinner at Botanico ( first time) and the service was poor so we came to Jaguar where we had been 1 time before. The last time we came to Jaguar (3+ yrs ago), it was spectacular and the food/service was on point for a very large birthday dinner. Today, Diana went above and beyond to make sure our meal was enjoyable and gave us great recommendations. The previous server we had ( at the other restaurant) did not have the same vibe as Diana! We were so happy from the moment we sat down that we knew we were in the right place. 10/10 recommend!! I got the Salmon. Not paid. The GM George welcomes us into the family and undoubtedly we will be back. Thank you!!!!!
I want to say thank you to restaurant manager Michael, you made dining at Jaguar last night special, which was totally unexpected for my son and I. You definitely went above and beyond with the service that was provided. My son and I expected a desert or something like that. When we got home and I opened my bag to find a hat, shirt and a gift certificate, I was floored, on top of what we had received at the restaurant. The food was great, along with everything else just as before. We didn't get a chance to take a pic of the fried chicken bites, we looked up a they were gone😋. I really would like to know what type of brine is being used to get the chicken that moist and still have a crunchy outside. We'll be having a glass of wine with our dinner tonight. I look forward to my next visit in 2024. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.🎉
Spectacular! I took my aunt here for her birthday, and we all had a good time. The ceviche appetizers were delicious, and the calamari was nice and crispy. I had the arroz con mariscos, my wife had the churrasco, my mom had the salmon, and my aunt had a pork dish. Everyone's food was on point. My daughter had no kids menu, but we just shared our dish with her. Ultimately, they brought out a yummy birthday flan with a candle and sang Happy Birthday. It was a fantastic night, and we are so thankful for the service.
This place is amazing!! The food is great but if you want to try something real good you need to try Fish a la Talla and a Caipirinha, these two are a blast, they were recommended to me by the manager Jovel, very attentive person, he is a really good asset to this place. Thank you Jovel for the recommendation. Will definitely be back.
Solid option for Latin American dishes near Cocowalk. While looking for the best Latin American option in the area, we stumbled upon this place. With a nice tropical decor, the restaurant seemed like a great spot for a laid-back yet chic brunch. We kicked off our meal with some sangrias and Vuelve a la Vida Ceviche. The sangria had a twist, featuring a few blueberries instead of the usual lemon bits— it was different, but still refreshing. The ceviche was a real catch. Bathed in a spicy tomato sauce, the seafood was of high quality, and I especially liked the calamari and red onions combo. We shared three entrées, and both the Lomo Saltado and the Pork Pernil were solid. The Lomo Saltado was comparable to the ones I’ve had in good Peruvian Chinese restaurants in other cities. The latter featured tender roasted pork pieces with a balanced flavor profile, thanks to the guava sauce and pickled onions. Unfortunately, the Fried Rice Chaufa was overly salty, and the Mahi Mahi on top intensified the saltiness. While the fried egg provided some balance, it wasn't enough to offset the overall saltiness. Although I'm not well-versed in the Latin American food scene in this area, Jaguar Restaurant definitely seems like a great option for those seeking casual yet elevated Latin American cuisine. Service was also better than most of the restaurants we’ve been to in Miami, and I recommend giving them a try.
When we got there the place was slammed! When the food arrived I realized why why. The food was spectacular but the service was the best part of our visit. George was really the saving grace and mostly part of the reason we’ll return. He was SO knowledgeable of the dinner service and answered my many questions with grace and knowledge. It’s been a staple in Miami for over a decade for a reason
Loved this place! Has one of the best happy hours I’ve seen. They upgraded the margarita cups and it gives much more of a portion. Flavor is good and drinks are strong for a happy hour! The bites were good as well and a good portion. Affordable happy hour and Jovel was such a nice waiter, all the staff was nice and attentive. Would definitely return!
Went for dinner with family. Joval the manager was incredible. Even though they were completely booked, took unbelievable care of us. Got us several drink orders from bar while we waited and sat us way quicker than expected. Dinner and staff were awesome. All was a great experience. Joval was the bow on top of the package. Cheers
This place is amazing! They make the best spicy passion fruit margaritas & the food is delicious. Came for Miami Spice, for $35 had the best shrimp appetizer, lomo salteado, and flan that taste like my grandma made it. Eduardo & Jesus at the bar are the best, very hospitable & attentive. Love this place overall and highly recommend it ❤️
Jovel, our server and bartender, was fantastic! He treated us like family from the moment we sat down. Not only did he recommend the best appetizers but also made the yummiest old fashioned drinks. Do yourself a favor and visit Jaguar Restaurant on a Sunday. You will love the food, service and atmosphere!
Jaguar has been a permanent place in the Grove for a while but we had never been. Today we came in without reservations and the place was fairly full (it was early) and they sat us without problems. We opted for the Miami Spice menu and my husband and I had different plates from it. OMG! Delicious! From the apps to the dessert it was an explosion of flavors. Edgar our waiter was amazing. Really attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and I loved the vibe! We will definitely come back and try more from their regular menu. 100% recommend this great place!
My husband and I went here on a saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Nataly was by far the best waitress probably ever. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and had the best personality! The food was amazing! We started with a tuna ceviche-the most delicious ceviche I've ever tasted- that Nataly recommended. The churrasco was melt in your mouth delicious, and the salmon was cooked perfectly. To end, we had spoon bites of 3 dessert options. I have never seen a restaurant offer spoon bites of their desserts, so I was pleasantly surprised when Nataly mentioned it. The cheesecake and the banana dessert (can't remember the name) were my favorite, while the chocolate cake would have been best if I were drinking a good red wine. We will definitely be back, and look forward to trying other menu items. EDIT, 7 months later.... went again with a larger group and we really enjoyed ourselves! The food was spectacular, drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was great!
Our waiter was Pedro and he was spectacular! Now on to the restaurant! Jaguar Restaurant is one of those Miami places that actually earns its reputation. The food is consistently excellent—bold Latin flavors, fresh ingredients, and dishes that feel thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed out for tourists. The ceviche is bright and balanced, the entrees are deeply satisfying, and everything tastes like it was cooked by someone who cares.
I would like to highlight the excellent service provided by Adalberto at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit and paid close attention to every detail with a very professional and welcoming attitude. It’s clear that he truly cares about the guests’ experience, and that made a big difference for us. His service truly elevated our time at the restaurant. Thank you for such dedicated attention — we will gladly return!
Our waiter was Pedro and he was spectacular! Now on to the restaurant! Jaguar Restaurant is one of those Miami places that actually earns its reputation. Cheers

I went to Jaguar a few weekends ago with some girlfriends for a girls' night out. The food was good (for the most part), but we weren't fans of the drinks. Here's what we tried: a spicy margarita (which we sent back because it was way too sweet), a passion fruit margarita (5/10), two passion fruit mojitos, and a Paloma Sour (in my opinion, the only decent drink). That said, the service was absolutely spectacular. Our server was incredibly kind and made sure to ask for feedback so they could improve anything we didn't like. For food, we ordered: the Ceviche Vuelve a la Vida (AMAZING), the Peruvian ceviche, and the fried calamari, which we all agreed was the best dish--so much so that we ordered another round! The queso fundido was also very tasty. Two dishes we didn't love: the fish croquettes (which were more like fish meatballs ) and the steak tacos. They weren't bad, just unremarkable. At the end of the meal, our server graciously gifted us a tres leches dessert, which we all fought over--it was hands down the star of the night and one of the best we've ever had! In conclusion, l'd consider going back for the food, but the drinks definitely need improvement. It's not the best spot for a ladies' night out.
If you’re a ceviche lover, this spot in Coconut Grove is a must. We tried three different ceviches, each one packed with flavor and unbelievably fresh. The ceviche tostadas were the perfect start: crisp, tangy, and full of texture. The guacamole and chips were super fresh and creamy, you can tell it’s made to order. And the ceviche tiradito? A standout. Silky slices of fish with just the right balance of acidity and heat. Great vibe, great service, and everything was incredibly fresh. Can’t wait to come back and try more, when you go tell them Flavia Sent You!🐟🍋🌿🥑
If you are looking for Authentic Peruvian, this is not the place. The food is not bad, its just too many innecesary ingredients that make the dishes look and feel heavy. The Guacamole and Bread Pudding are delicious.

Loved this restaurant in the Coconut Grove neighborhood. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. I left this restaurant with a new found appreciation for Peruvian food. I would even come back for the desserts alone!! I couldn’t help but get a three coarse meal and a coffee in the middle of the day. And to add the manager was kind!
Entree's were great, All dishs (including sea dishs) were fresh. Cocktails were tasty. Mains were great. Atmosphere was just fine. Service was pleasant and friendly, but feels abit non professional. Mistakes were made to some orders, but we're corrected swiftly. All in all, a recommended restaurant, including for large groups.
wonderful, flavorful, ambiance superb! Paul and his crews service was unmatched! drink never empty. we felt like we were the only ppl in the restaurant! we were fresh off Caribbean Cruise staying in Coco Beach an extra week and starving. So glad we came across Jaguar! We will be back on Wednesday after we come back from the Keys!..ok wow we stayed for dessert the cheesecake and chocolate cake amazing! Get in here to eat neeeoow!
So this place is good to great. It's a bit more affordable than the other places. On the flip side took them a while to get things going. Steak was just ok. Apps and ceviche were amazing and the arroza was amazing too. Marg was lots of ice and 2 sips and u were done for 18 bucks so weak drinks. Nuff said
My husband had a mojito and said it was the best he'd ever had. Their homemade sauce was delicious. I don't care for spicy things, but it had a great flavor which I enjoyed. All of our food was cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. My only complaint was that the music was a little loud

Nice staff, picanha was good, my only suggestion was that it was slightly over-seasoned for me, but could very well be great for others. I f your in coconut grove area, its worth checking out
The food here is actually good. Not the most generous portions, but legitimately good. And it’s a nice space. But the service is just trash. So many front of house. Yet still, they managed to “forget” me multiple times. In a relatively empty dining room at 2pm. Just pure inattention. Not even not paying attention to small details. Just completely not paying attention. I had to wait a while upon being seated for a server to show up. In the end, it was the floor manager who came. No water. I had to flag down a server *after* my appetizer had arrived. After my main was finished, they forgot I had ordered dessert. I stepped into the bathroom to wash my hands, and when I came back in 2 minutes, my table had been cleared. The check hadn’t even come. I still had water left. Just smh and what the heck. If you want professional service, avoid. I remember now why I haven’t come here for a while.

Jaguar restaurant has a great atmosphere and it's a pleasure to spend time there. That's what actually got us there. However it all fell apart when we went there for dinner. Service was subpar, the servers couldn't figure out who was responsible for our table. We had picanha adobada, which was not the best, comparable to chewing leather. Given the size of the menu and prices you'd expect everything on the menu to be exceptional. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Finally, the restaurant is unique in a way that it produces and sells a line of their own sauces. However, when asked for some to sample, it made it's way to our bill.
Amazing food, good prices, but our service was virtually... nonexistent. He just took notes on our food and left. We had to stand up and get the silverware ourselves, order drinks from different servers, and even ask the receptionist for the check.
Service and staff are outstanding. I ordered the fish Tacos. The Mahi was fresh. However, the Taco is simply Coleslaw with the Mahi on top. The coleslaw is flavorless and the Mahi was a little dry. So unless you add the Pink Mayo provided, the Taco falls real short on flavor. I also feel they can do more with the Guacamole. Perhaps some red onion. Do misunderstand, the Hass Avocados were fresh but nothing makes you say WOW. My wife ordered Fried Rice Chaufa with Mahi and she loved it. Don't get me wrong, if you are in The Grove this is a great place to go.
We went to Jaguar in Coconut Grove and sat at the bar. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We waited about 7 minutes before anyone came to take our order, even though the bar area wasn’t extremely busy. The food itself was good, but the service really affected the overall experience. Sitting at the bar did not feel welcoming or attentive at all. Because of this, it wasn’t a great experience for us. I would not recommend sitting at the bar if you visit!!
Food and service seem to be falling off a bit Different chef? New servers? Asked if I can get my food well done and the person that brought my food said ‘I don’t know’ and just walked away Celia’s salad was a miss Tacos were too wet and neither were as flavorful as it used to be
Suffocating air freshener scent. I mean one of the worst I've ever encountered outside of being trapped in a uber with half a dozen febreze plug-ins. The food tastes like air freshener and so do the drinks. It's really not acceptable under any circumstances. We came here in December 2023 - it was great. Came again in January 2025, the air freshener was hardly tolerable. Came October 2025, and we'll never come back. It's gross, guys. It's a big open-air restaurant and there's just absolutely no need for such a toxic assault. Completely ruins the atmosphere.
Definelty a restaurant that needs a 101 on restaurant service , the ambiance of the restaurant was too loud and all the staff seemed rushed as if they didn’t want to be there and leave , the server itself was very pressuring and wouldn’t give a pleasant experience (tone , body language ) towards the guest dinning in the restaurant. Overall they need a good training to reinforce service standards.
Visited for NYE reservation for 11:15 arrived at 11pm advertising 95.00 unlimited special (within the first plate) the unlimited meat is gone (kitchen closed) I feel that was false advertisement and unprofessional Meat was bland no real flavor and beef portions were tough no steak knife offered I honestly feel like they advertised something they weren’t product prepared for….
I’ve been visiting Jaguar Restaurant in Coconut Grove very often, and while the food remains flavorful and well‑prepared, the portions continue to feel small for the price point. The space is spacious, clean, and inviting, which makes the ongoing decline in service even more disappointing. Over our last several visits, the service has consistently slipped. Staff repeatedly attempted to clear plates while we were still eating, and it was difficult to get anyone’s attention for additional orders, even with only a few tables occupied well after the lunch rush. This isn’t an isolated incident, it has become a recurring pattern each time we return. At this point, we’ve decided to take a break from dining here until the service is elevated back to the standard that once matched the quality of the food and atmosphere. With stronger training and more attentive hospitality, Jaguar could easily return to being one of our favorite spots in the Grove.
Have been coming here for years but was so disappointed at my last visit that I’m leaving this review for others who have nostalgia for the good days of Jaguar. We ordered drinks.. which didn’t arrive at all during our appetizer but instead after our entrees were placed and were watery by this time.. without an apology. The steak was chewy, the aji panca on the rice chaufa was barely perceptible and when asked for extra chips for the guac, they still charged us $2. We will not be returning. A shame - ambiance is nice and it’s in a great location.
First of all, no one there speaks English to explain the meals to you. The drinks were $18 and not very good at all. The food was ok at best. We spent $150 for two of us and we stopped at a pizzeria …

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time, especially because I live in Miami and it’s located in such a prime area. Given its location and reputation, I expected a well-run establishment with attentive service and quality food. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from beginning to end. From the moment we were seated, the service felt disorganized. We were asked if we wanted water, and when asked about additional drinks, we politely requested 3–5 minutes to look at the menu. The server agreed, yet almost immediately another staff member approached asking for our drink order. This lack of communication between staff created an unnecessary feeling of being rushed rather than welcomed. Shortly after ordering, I visited the restroom, which was in unacceptable condition. There was paper scattered across the floor, the trash bins were overflowing, and the overall cleanliness was clearly neglected. Restroom upkeep is a direct reflection of management standards, and this immediately lowered our confidence in the restaurant’s attention to detail. Regarding the food, several issues stood out. My aunt and I both ordered cheeseburgers, yet no one asked how we would like the meat cooked — a basic and essential question for any burger order. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade that tasted exactly like regular lemonade. When I mentioned it, it took approximately 5–10 minutes to receive a replacement, and the quality was still underwhelming. We ordered soup, and while the bowl itself was hot, the soup was lukewarm — suggesting it had been sitting rather than freshly prepared. Additionally, the lomo saltado lacked balance and had an unpleasant bitter taste, which was surprising for such a classic dish. To conclude the meal, we ordered an espresso. After waiting about 10 minutes with no update, we had to cancel the order entirely. Our server, Pedro, apologized and offered to provide it complimentary or to-go, but at that point the issue was not about compensation — it was about the overall lack of attentiveness and coordination throughout the dining experience. Despite everything, we paid our bill in full and still left a tip, as we were not seeking a discount — we simply expected a standard level of service and quality. As we were leaving, we asked to speak with a manager to provide feedback. While explaining the situation near the entrance, the host signaled another employee to listen to our conversation. The employee proceeded to linger nearby, clearly listening in. This behavior felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Instead of a sincere effort to address the concerns, we were offered a $25 gift certificate, which felt more like a quick attempt to resolve the complaint rather than a meaningful acknowledgment of the multiple issues we experienced. Overall, the visit reflected poor management oversight, inconsistent service, lack of attention to cleanliness, and subpar food quality. Given the restaurant’s location and reputation, the standards should be significantly higher. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously and implements improvements.
I’ve frequented this restaurant for years and used to genuinely enjoy their happy hour, but each visit lately has felt like a decline in both service and quality while prices continue to rise and portions shrink. This last visit was by far the worst. The restaurant was completely empty_ we were the only two guests_ yet the experience was disappointing across the board. The music (very loud cubaton) made it uncomfortable to sit and talk. Service was inattentive and disorganized. The food was unacceptable. The soft tortilla tacos were clearly microwaved. The ceviche tostada was stale and tasted fishy, and the sweet potato was undercooked and hard. It honestly felt rushed and poorly prepared. To make matters worse, we were charged for canchitas served in what was essentially a ketchup-sized dish. When my daughter asked to bring the hottest sauce available, the waitress didn’t know which one as she did not like hot sauce and brought three different ones and then we were charged for all three. Charging $3 per small sauce when you have two guests in an empty restaurant is not good business, it’s short-sighted! Sadly, this was the final straw for me. Poor service, declining food quality, and nickel-and-diming loyal customers is not a recipe for success. You’ve lost a long-time customer and Aromas de Peru has now gained one instead.
