This place is amazing! Mila provided us with excellent friendly service. I highly recommend the sushi rolls. We had the oysters, volcano roll, hamachi roll, abc roll and they even made a speciality one we asked for. They make the most delicious cocktails and you cannot beat this view especially at sunset. We had a wonderful time here on our vacation and will be back! Thank you Mila!!!
Found this gem in Miami beach when we stayed there the night before our cruise. It was late afternoon so we had missed the chance to enjoy the pool. We ordered food which arrived quickly and was delicious. They had a live dj keeping the place buzzing which was good. There was a great mix from all age groups. So all in all a great vibe.
I’ve been to plenty of mediocre seafood joints by the water, but Monty’s wasn’t one of them. Family of 5 eating outdoors (great marina views!), and everyone had the best time and enjoyed our tour of the menu (stone crab claws, onion rings, nachos, grilled shrimp, etc.). Great happy hour specials, and the Painkillers were delightful. Shout out to Enrique for the killer service, daring me to sample the crab, and pointing us toward the key lime pie. He was great with the kids, kept everything moving, and didn’t miss a beat. 11/10 would recommend.
The venue has a nice vibe but if you go at night it is cold. At least when I went. The food was decent nothing spectacular. They were supposed to have live music but didn't.
Our server was fantastic. He was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was perfect. Prices are fair and the atmosphere of sitting outside was wonderful. Unfortunately I live far away or this would be my go to restaurant
This place is kind of cool. There is live music while looking over the marina. It was busy in the evening. We ordered calamari, tuna tartar, and fish of the day. The food was amazing, fresh, and tasty. The waiter was friendly, smile and enjoy what they are doing which is very nice
We had a quick trip to Miami, it was a turn and go, but we had to grab a bite before heading back and found Monty's on Google. Diego was great. The food was really good, and the key lime pie was amazing.
Had a great mid day business meeting at Monty’s with excellent views and great drinks and food! They let us sit at the bar inside with a perfect view of the marina. We had great service from Gaby the bartender and the servers were amazing. We normally sit outside by the tiki bar but today inside was perfect
This place is basically South Beach’s secret weapon: sunshine, margaritas, a pool, and zero chaos (rare, I know). Perfect for when your teenager wants to feel cool by a pool, and you just want a margarita the size of your head. Win-win. Food? Solid. Service? Fast enough to make you wonder if they had a time machine. Parking? FREE—as long as you give your waiter the secret code: “Can you validate my ticket?” (Seriously, don’t forget that part or you’ll be paying Miami prices to park your car next to a coconut.) Not your typical South Beach madness—more like the chill cousin who still looks fabulous but doesn’t scream over house music. Great spot to vibe, snack, sip, and soak up some good old Florida sun.

We went for an early dinner and sundowner. The place is chill next to a pool. Nice bar and vibes The food was good. And the service was great. We were helped by Lettica who was great with a great smile.

One of my favorite places to go to when visiting Florida! Food is great, location and views are amazing also when your done eating all that delicious food you can walk along the board walk until the end, which is the start of Miami Beach! Happy hour is at I believe 430pm or 5 can't remember lol, half price oysters! Yumm.
Wow what a great experience today. We’ve been to Monty’s before. Drinks burgers pool view etc always good but today was made great by our server Slobodan ! Today we showed up at 4:30 and enjoyed a really wonderful afternoon. Slobodan our server is a must request. Very knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients in each dish, great recommendations, very efficient, and most importantly handled one of our shellfish allergy guests with white gloves !
Great Food, Relaxed Vibe, and Perfect Views! Monty’s in Miami Beach is a must-visit spot if you’re looking for that perfect combination of laid-back island vibes, fresh seafood, and beautiful waterfront views. The atmosphere is unbeatable — open-air seating right on the water with a casual yet energetic crowd and live music that sets the tone just right. Came early for happy hour at 4pm but found that it started at 5pm. Wings were a little pricey at $17 but the view makes up for it.
Enrique was our server. Very professional and knowledgeable. Was attentive and took good care of us. Will definitely come back.
A buzzing place to sit, drink and eat whilst watching the sun set over Miami Marina. Absolutely love this place. Food portions are generous and there is a great choice of drink options at the bar.
We went on a Monday night for their happy hour. Comfortably busy with fast service (raw bar) and fun atmosphere. We ordered raw oysters, clams, peel and eat shrimp (6 pieces cost $7.5, $4.5, $4.5 respectively ). Miami Vice was strong and very yummy for $6. Great outdoor/patio seating and has access to marina walkway to see the boats.
We had an amazing time, partially thanks to our server Enrique. The guy is funny, attentive and very engaging. He deserves a promotion!
I love spending time in Monty’s, one of my favourite neighbourhood spots! This nice atmosphere bar with a gorgeous view on yachts ,nice drinks and a great live band on weekends makes it a special place, whether it’s a fun meeting with friends, or a beautiful date! Special thanks to Valentin and the rest of the team for being so friendly, attentive and professional,it makes us coming back again and again.💃🙂
My husband and I ate dinner at Monty’s on Thursday night and had a wonderful experience. The cocktails were fantastic, the seafood was exactly what we hoped for, and our server, Diego, was awesome! I would recommend Monty’s to any traveler’s craving seafood or any locals looking for a great happy hour deal.
One of the best place in south beach to see the sunset over Brickell ! The bar is really nice with a pool and a kind of tiki lounge. There is table outside along the pool and with a beautiful view over the marina. From there you can see the sunset over the marina and Brickell. It’s just beautiful !
We rode bikes to get here and it was hot that day, but I love the heat. It was around high noon when my son, brother and myself arrived. We didn't have to wait to get seated. I like how they had the pool in the middle of the restaurant. Take a quick swim while u wait for your meal. Better before than after anyway. I had the Philly cheesteak and it was great. My son had the chicken strips with calamari and that was good as well too. My brother had the buffalo wings and they was great as well. Overall everything was good here including the atmosphere.
Monty’s is undoubtedly the best spot to catch a breathtaking sunset. Nestled in a picturesque location, the view is simply unparalleled, making it a haven for sunset enthusiasts. The ambiance is serene, providing the perfect setting for a memorable evening. Now, let's talk about the food – a delightful journey for the taste buds. Monty's menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, each a masterpiece in its own right. From appetizers to main courses, every bite is a burst of flavor that leaves you craving more. The chefs at Monty's have truly mastered the art of creating delicious, satisfying meals. Monty's isn't just a tourist attraction; it's a local favorite. The place exudes a sense of community, drawing in locals who appreciate the charm and warmth it offers. The staff's friendly demeanor and familiarity with regulars create a welcoming atmosphere, making you feel like part of an extended family.
Local’s favorite for decades. Can’t beat the happy hour at sunset. The food is fresh and delicious. The drinks are great and affordable. After more than a decade of visiting this Monty’s we went last Friday and we had an unpleasant experience at the door. The hostess was a snappy, back talking Latina, who treated us like we are beneath her as we didn’t want to sit at the table she pointed out to us. Once we were seated in the bar area we had a great waitress ( Heather) who took great care of us and turned the mood around for all of us. We ordered the bounty and the coconut shrimp. Everything was excellent and the seafood fresh. Love this place and will always go to there no matter who they hire as hostess.
We enjoyed a night out to celebrate my brothers birthday and we enjoyed the food, service, music, and ambiance. We ordered the whole fried fish, and a dozen oysters. The oysters were good, they offered 2 options, 1 was bigger but they were fresh and delicious. The music was nice, we didn’t sit to close to the band, we wanted to talk. Overall a really great experience.
My friend and I stopped in this morning after getting off a boat and being so incredibly sea sick. Our waiter, Diego, went above and beyond to bring us whatever we needed to feel better. Thank you so much for your kindness and great service!!
Our server Laeticia was so so wonderful, kind, and very accommodating! She was fast, accurate, and enthusiastic. She made me feel welcome and at home and will definitely be coming back again.
Great relax place to watch the sunset . Good price deal drinks and great attention . Gabriel was great with suggestions for nice cocktails and bites . They have a good happy hour from 5-8 pm which it’s a great deal . Recommend if you want to have a relax afternoon with a view and nice cocktail even a place for a first date can be.
This is a really cool spot overlooking the Miami Marina. The menu is well put together and the service was good for us sitting outside on the patio. We enjoyed several sushi options and the cocktails were above average. Parking is located in the garage next door and they will validate your ticket.
Monty's is great! What's not to like? Live music, sun, water views, beautiful sunsets, and even a swimming pool if you are feeling brave enough to take a dip in the middle of all the diners. Oh- and did I mention great food at fair prices. I highly reccomend the Chimchurri steak! I had this three times while in Miami and Monty's was the best! I've had $90 steaks I didn't enjoy as well. Despite a busy, full restaurant our waiter and all the ataff were friendly and attentive. Also a great place to people, boat and car watch. Can get a little noisy, but a great date spot as well.
A very good place to relax, drink some beer and just enjoy. The service is very good and personal. The food was really good. We ate the shrimp ceviche and had some oysters. Everything was fresh as tasteful. Also the music is very good and they have a pool. So that’s definitely a plus.
The place is in an awesome location near south point, right in front of a marina and a bike and pedestrian walk. All the seafood was great and fresh, maybe the stone crab could be fresher, but overall it was a great experience. I’ve lived in Miami for 10 years now. This place is still a good destination. Our star server as usual is Olvin Garcia, what an awesome dude, extremely polite, friendly, and knows some good recommendations. Definitely a place to experience.
A must visit on your visit to Miami. Clean spacious space with indoor and outdoor seating. The view from the poolside at sunset is amazing😍. The service was quality and the food was scrumptious and servings ample. In addition there is live music on some nights. The presentation of the drinks could be better in some nicer glasses other than plastic cups.
Love Monty's! The drinks were strong and tasty! We had a dragon roll and tuna poke wontons for appetizers. Entries included the Mahi Mahi and Tropical Shrimp plates. All delicious, large portions. Great marina sunset views. Also, our server, Erika, was super friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend Monty's!
Hi Anna, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the great service today. You were very kind, attentive, and professional, and it really made the whole experience much better. It’s always nice to come across someone who genuinely cares about their work and treats people well.
Found this gem by accident and returned the next day. Our server Sean was so great with us and additions to the group. Made us feel so welcome and well looked after. The oysters are a huge recommendation from our whole group (we ended up ordering more) 100% a must visit for tourists as well as locals.
I came here for casual dinner with my boyfriend. Located right next to the Miami Marina is a plus - you see the ships leaving and coming and its gorgeous in the evening with the lights illuminating from the trees and the harbor. The food is chef kisses : I especially enjoyed the blackened mahi mahi with the blackened shrimp, the white fish dip and the fried calamari. They have live music and they also validate a free 4 hour parking. The food was amazing as mentioned before and the server was a sweetheart. Definitely worth a visit
This place is phenomenal, the food was great and so were the drinks. We had the dragon roll, steak quesadilla, steak nachos, and the fried mozzarella and it was all 10 out of 10, special shout out to Lauren at the bar that gave us great hospitality service and great drinks she is so awesome she gave us great recommendations on what drinks and foods to order.
We had the absolute BEST experience thanks to Ana Maria! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. Her energy is warm, friendly, and professional all at the same time. She knew the menu inside and out, gave amazing recommendations, and checked on us at the perfect times without ever being intrusive. What really stood out was how much she truly cares about her guests having a great time. She remembered small details, kept our drinks filled, and made the whole meal feel special. It’s rare to find service that feels this effortless and authentic. If you get Ana Maria as your server, you’re in for an incredible experience. She’s a huge reason we’ll be coming back. Thank you, Ana Maria, for making our visit unforgettable!

Overall a decent enough experience although was expecting a little more in terms of both the food quality and atmosphere given the reviews I’d read on here. Food we had was nice enough just nothing particularly special or outstanding, likewise the atmosphere was quite subdued/quiet. Service was great though and seeing the sunset over the boats and skyline is definitely worth the price paid (just under $300 for 4)
Stopped for a few beers, sat outside overlooking the marina. It's an excellent location to watch the boats and pretty relaxed. Service good and prices seem as high as everywhere else in Miami!!
Monty’s was recommended to us by a tour guide. Great place the locals go on the water. Fun casual atmosphere. Menu has a wide variety of food to choose from. Sushi offered Thursday to Sunday. Happy hour 5-8. Prices were reasonable.

Shrimp tacos were amazing, all of the drinks were on point! The painkiller drink was really good 😌 Pricing wise I got the grilled chicken with beans and rice and it was $14. Oysters were a dollar apiece for happy hour. There was a 30 minute wait at 6:30 PM to get in for a party of three. Serving sizes were very good
During the late 90s, it used to be more fun to be there, but now it looks like a retirement home. It still offers fantastic views and good customer service, but the vibe is no longer the same.
Monty’s on Miami Beach is a taste of Key largo in miami. The staff is super attentive and accommodating. You can pull up on your boat with sufficient parking or park in the garage if you’re coming by car. We came with our dogs and the server even brought out a bowl with iced cold water without asking. The ambiance is amazing, with a view of the ocean and the big beautiful yachts. The food was fresh and delicious. The only down side was that they took the delicious crab cakes off their menu.
Great spot for views of Bay & sunset. Customers can use the swimming pool (check opening times- when I was there the pool closed at 5pm). Wide selection of menu options, including a "raw bar". Sit in the resto/raw bar side or more low-key pool/bar side. Food was good and great service from Alyssa.
***First time here*** Open atmosphere. Layed back, chill vibe. Great music of every genre. Food was good. The only con I have is...we came here for a birthday dinner so we had a party of 16. At the end of the meal, when it was time to pay, or waitress told us that they were not allowed to "split" the check, and can only swipe 6 credit cards. So, that left a party of 16 going through the check picking out what's theirs, adding the tax, and the 18% service gratuity. Fun.... NOT!!! ***2nd Time Around*** Decided to try this place another time for our weekly Saturday date night. We were immediately seated...we chose outside seating, by the pool and outside bar. The live band was very entertaining. They chose music from every genre, which was pleasing and appreciated. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was freshly made and delicious.
Very over priced for the quality and service in my opinion. Also added automatic 18% gratuity for a party of 2 without telling us and then asked for additional tip? Will not let you do separate c…

Scenic and cool location, but I was disappointed with the overall experience. The food was just ok and not a good value for the money. I had previously only visited the Coconut Grove location which was better. As a Wedding and Event DJ in Miami, South Florida, and the Florida Keys, I'm extra focused on hospitality and good service which was lacking here. The entrees came out separately and the sides were cold. Also, the food lacked flavor/seasoning. We had the Mahi and Salmon entrees which were just ok. Hope they'll improve. Enjoyed the live band and overall vibe of the location which has both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a little hard to find the restaurant from the parking garage, and they could use better signage.
Regrettably Monty’s gone downhill in recent years. The food is way overpriced and mediocre at best. My mahi sandwich ($24) and tacos ($22) were dry as a shoe! We used to love this place but I guess it’s time to move on.
Actually our neighborhood likes this place. I eat out a lot … 350 nights a year and I travel a lot. Next trip I have to go to the Middle East …and realized I didn’t have time to go far since I had a publishing deadline and I landed at Monty’s. It is definitely more festive in the evening. The outside bar opposite the pool is popular. There are TVs for sports. The menu is hit and miss. Some things good where other things are so so. Let’s call this a neighborhood bar with a fantastic view of the moored boats with that serves food. Today instead of going to Burger King or Burgermeister I ordered a burger here. The bun was stale ( yes it was toasted or grilled but the bun was hard on the edges. But the real killer was the GREASE and then omg the NaCl or salt. Maybe the cook had forgotten that he had salted it and did a double dose. Believe me it was salty. You could see the edema in my leg. My waiter ( Jonathan ) was very nice and attentive. Actually, he was apologetic but as I said to him-this is a cook error. The hostess staff was lifeless. There are other things I would share but I like this place and our neighborhood needs reasonably priced food BUT 31.00 for a so so experience was a tad much. Last time I got the fish and chips and even Prince William would have been pleased.
We tried Monty's for the first time in a long time. We had the oysters 1 dz, not worth it very small, the long island was promised a certain size and way and what we got was soo skimpy and watered down that we just felt soo disappointed 😞. The server was very nice and did his best to please us. Everything else in the pictures speak for themselves.

I think some places in Miami are over rated and that increases the expectations. Monty’s Sunset located in a nice place with the nice sunset view but the food was average. The “Grilled Copi” wasn’t marinated enough same as the fried fish of the day but they looked nice and decorated good you can see in pictures but don’t get fooled with these nice pictures the food is average and pricey. Saying that to lower your expectation. However, we got a good service from the staffs.
Mediocre. Ordered a $68 platter. Bill came out to $98 with a draft Bud Light the size of a kid's cup. Very Joe's Crab Shack instead of Joe's Stone Crab. Plastic condiments, cafeteria style seafood. Waiter was too busy yelling at girls on the boardwalk. Miss this place unless you are a fan of Hooters.
Ok food. I’m thinking people come here for the view of the marina. Several tourists seemed to be petting the manatees on the other side of the dock. We ordered fish tacos and fish and chips which were fine. The waiter was great. When we got the bill there was an 18% fee. We figured it was a tip but the waiter told us that he received only about half that. It is Christmas and we tipped in cash. I think it’s deceptive to add fees.
An all-c classic American that offers comfort food and sparkling rays for a smacking sunset view! The vibe and ambiance are pretty casual, hyped by the mood of the all-time hits. Some high-menu items start with their own Guac and chips, that’s the ultimate Tex-Mex statement. Not the best guac & cheese, but it will fulfill your chip craving. The Fisherman's Sampler, which includes Conch fritters, battered cod, coconut shrimp, and fried calamari; is your best shot to try all fried sea appetizers. Surprisingly the conch fritters, and the coconut shrimp outshine the rest. The only downside of this appetizer is the amount of grease, as everything is fried, so sometimes you feel you are just eating the same. Moving into the entrees, say “Yabba-Dabba-Doo!” to this Fred Flinstone rib rack that shines BBQ highlights and crispy french fries. The amount of meat in them will definitely satisfy your carnivorous appetite. Jump into the Grilled Mahi Mahi, served with sunset rice, veggies, and lemon garlic butter. A well-sized portion of a fresh caught off Miami. It tastes very natural, where all the side ingredients just add a subtle scent of twist to it. The Maji Maji Sandwich is the healthy burger you have always looked for. Tender enough on the inside, embraced by soft buttery buns. The chips have a nice crunchy bite to their signature taste. On the other side, the Maji Maji tacos were extremely disappointing. Flavoless, completely raw and lacking taste. Even the cole slaw salad that was ordered as an additional item, didn’t help to pump off some kind of taste. Service depends on the waiter, they are usually overlwhelmed with the number of guest, so if the place is packed, forget about quick response. Nice that it is one of the only places that still validates parking in Miami Beach. If you are up for nice sunset pier views over the Miami Bay Area, sail away at Monty’s with a cheerful drink and hunk to all the cruises departing the Miami port!
Great spot for the view or if you're at the marina for a quick stop. The food is basic and not really flavorful , the outside Tiki bar is not a real Tiki bar, and the bartenders seem entitled and are not very nice. over all a good place to grab a beer, hear a live band, or catch up with friends. Eat elsewhere.
I feel bad for giving only three stars to a place I love, but a while ago I was there and a female bartender from the pool bar kicked me out literally. She gave me the menu and asked me what I will order and I told her I was waiting for someone to join me. Her response was that I had to leave. I've been in this place before and I have received an excellent customer service. Specially from a male bartender from Ukraine. He does know how to treat a lady. He knows me and I have spent wonderful times eating and drinking in the pool area. But now I am extremely disappointed by this female bartender in the evening shift. My mistake was to leave without talking to the manager and to move on without letting him know the kind of unpolite bartender he has working there. I swear I do love the place specially cause I love to swim in the pool, I love the view and the rest of the staff. Food and drinks are good too and the environment is nice. I always find good people to talk to when I go. But at this point I don't feel like going anymore. I had plans to go and talk to the manager about this but as I'm in Texas now while I'm writing this review. It's sad that a high class place like this has such a low class bartender. Shame on her. I bet I'll be back soon but if I see her I will move on and go to another place where I'll be treated like the lady I am. No excuses!. Please be more careful in your hiring process. And please teach bartenders to recognize a customer even if she haven't see the customer before. I didn't feel humiliated because I understood that she was just a mediocre with no class and no manners. I just walked out with my head high enough not to come back ever if she is working at the bar. I'm sorry for writing this. I'm not the type of person who complains. But it is what it is... I feel bad not being able to enjoy one of the places I love the most in Florida.
The waterside location, atmosphere & live music was great! The service & food was just ok.

Food was very average. You pay for the location, views and fun crowd. But this is not a place if you're looking for above average food. \n\nBartenders are cool.

Our misfortune began the moment we entered the establishment, we were sat by the pool/bar area, here are all of the storms of incompetence we valiantly faced 1. Band music designed to reach the entire dining populous, not designed for comfort or hearing safety of those near (not a problem on its own) we moved tables outside of the indoor area. 2. Ordered appetizers and meals, I ordered the steak churrasco; appetizers come in and I've got to admit I enjoyed the Jalapeño poppers and stone crab claws, my next physcological battle arrives when my waiter comes to tell me that they are out of my requested entree, keep in mind this is 20mins after I ordered it, so I end up switching it to the "steak frites". Up until now I have no interest in leaving a negative review, I understand these are basic inconveniences. 3. The final straw: I recieve my "steak frites" and immediately gaze in agony at the abysmal experience ahead, knowing even 3 glasses of water may not suffice to scarf this $47.00 + 18% + Tax abomination down the hatch What did I recieve to warrant such a reaction? A charred block of overcooked meat, no sauce to be seen, only a pile of fries to wipe your tears with. Google instructions on serving steak frites: "Serve: Slice the steak and serve alongside the fries, topped with sauce or butter." What I enjoyed: Good, chill atmosphere Jalapeño poppers French fries Stone crab claws Will I be coming back? No. Attached are comparison images of the steak frites from what I received vs what I expected for $60 (after fees & tax)
Failed experience. Amazing view but so terrible food. I seen this restaurant in Eagle and Tails (popular TV show in Ukraine) The seafood here was no tasty. Bisque had a lot of cream and have nothing in common with true bisque soup. The main disappointment was crab legs which waiter suggested us when we couldn't choose between lobster and crab. It was not fresh and had too much salt and souses to hide it. Also margarita was too salted. Probably cook falled in love?) However, tuna tartare and oysters were not bad. Finally, when we told our waiter about too salted meal he said that he can do nothing because not he prepared it. The bil was about 250 dollars and 100 was for crab legs which we didn't finish.
We came in on a Monday in September and there were only about 3 other tables. Service was decent but only at the beginning. She was prompt at first but we were disappointed with how the service continued. We didn't order any alcohol and after she took our order, she only returned to see if we changed our minds about a drink, which we hadn't. Someone other than our waitress brought the food and a different person cleared our plates. When we asked for our check from the third person, our original waitress brought it, which was the only time we saw her again. I hope they share tips because it's added automatically and our waitress didn't deserve any of it. She never even asked us how the food was. She didn't tell us that the tip was included, we had to ask her. If we hadn't asked, she would've gotten double tipped (which is what so many waitstaff in Miami do-they hope you don't notice and tip like you normally would). She did almost nothing, except for talking nonstop with her chatty coworkers. The manager was sitting behind us eating his dinner and he didn't stop anyone from talking incessantly and didn't encourage any staff members to ask how our food was. There are too many other restaurant choices for us to return here. We ordered the fish tacos, which were dry, and the burger which was only mediocre. Fries were lukewarm and definitely subpar. Food took 20 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant and the fries weren't even hot? C'mon Monty's, do better. We didn't order any alcohol. Bill was $55. Rating: 1.5 stars.
Found this place while exploring South Beach and the marina. Needed a place to stop and have a drink and rest our legs. Door staff wasn’t overly pleasant but we managed to find a seat near the bar overlooking the marina. We were told to go up to the bar to order our drinks, which was fine. When we had to pay prior to receiving the drinks, the bar staff did not want to show us the bill and wanted to take our phone to tap & pay on the other side of the bar. We kept asking to see the total cost of the 2 drinks, which we finally saw when we walked to the other side of the bar. They had automatically added 18% tip and there was no other option but to pay. What is the tip for?!! We didn’t receive any table service or any other service. I always thought tips were given if you received good or great service. It’s crazy to see everyone applying the automatic 20% tip to your bill and the service has become worse. And to tip 18% at a bar where you walk up to get your drink is just ridiculous. The drinks were not great but location is ok.
I'll give you my opinion, great area for sunsets, great that they comp four hours of free parking, just don't pay the parking system and hurry to Monty's to get the QR code and ya you'll be fine. Service is great, environment is fun but can get loud and guest can get rowdy but it's safe, young coward at times but good for all ages, drinks are good but a little pricy in my opinion, they do have drink specials, ok the food is not good, no taste, not fresh, I will go for drinks but will eat somewhere else, for party of two, lunch and two drinks came out to $100. Check receipt, they add an 18% service charge automatically, just a heads up most places in this area do the same so don't double tip. Have fun and enjoy a nice sunset.
Monty’s has a nice atmosphere and a comfortable setting, but the overall experience didn’t live up to the price. I ordered a hamburger that cost $25, plus an automatic 18% tip, bringing my total to around $30. For that price, I expected a quality, well-prepared meal — but the burger was tiny, came with just lettuce, tomato, and raw onions, and there were no grilled onion options available. At that price point, there should at least be the choice of grilled or sautéed onions. There was also a $3.50 up-charge for fries, which is unreasonable — fries should absolutely be included with a $25 burger. The burger itself was decent but nothing special, lacking in flavor or presentation. Honestly, McDonald’s makes a better burger for a fraction of the cost. The service was polite but inattentive. My server was nice, but I had to get up to ask for water and again to ask for the check. At a place with this pricing, I expected more proactive service. The atmosphere was the highlight — very pleasant and well-maintained — but unfortunately that was the only standout part of the visit. Overall: Monty’s looks good and has friendly staff, but the food is overpriced, the portions are small, and the lack of grilled onion options or included fries makes it feel like poor value for money. I left disappointed and wouldn’t rush to return.

Sad that such a legendary venue can’t even make a decent batch of fries and mahi fingers. I wonder if the kitchen makes the same batch for the owners or the owners simply don’t care. Mahi fingers were over cooked and dry Fries were simply not freshly made and soggy
Way Over priced, $93 for terrible crab legs with no meat. We thought Fajitas came with 5 tiny strips of steak. Fish and chips were only decent item. Unless you want to go there to drink I would advise against going for any food. Waitress was nice.
The food is terrible, the only good thing is server. He was really understandable. The hostess and the server were super nice and polite, but the French fries and coleslaw tasted like they were cooked a week ago, fish super dry and falling apart, fajita steak unchewable... we paid 100+ and left super disappointed and hungry, don't go there for food.
⚠️ CAUTION - WATCH THE TIPS CLOSELY! ⚠️ Make sure to read your bill very closely. If you are not careful, you'll end up giving a 38% tip without even knowing it. Frankly, I'm tired of these places that automatically include a tip on your bill, and then they included additional tip on the receipt when you go to sign it. This is excessive, unethical, and should be illegal. In reality I should give this place a negative 25 stars for the unethical business practices. Okay now here's the good side. The location is great just next to the Miami Beach Marina. What's the current weather, how can you really go wrong. Granted, is quite touristy.
This is the absolute worst service we have ever had on any of our trips. Not LQBTQ friendly. Probably didn’t want to wait on us because we are a lesbian couple. The waitresses argued about who had to take our table. 3 tables that sat after us got drinks and food way before us. Only reason we didn’t leave was because we walked 20 minutes and there aren’t many other restaurants around. The miami service industry is awful but this place takes the cake.
The location is nice but the plates are horrible. 40 mins to receive the order... Fried Calamares were either half raw and mushy. The inedible breading. The fries were fried with stra-oil used for other fries. The burger, shaped square, was small, for $19 it didn't even have a slice of cheese that was added to me for $2 plus a side of fries for another $3.5… the burger plate cost me $24.50 with inedible fries, crazy! Draft beer, 300 ml, 0.3 cl (small cup) for 7$. I don't recommend it, at least avoid eating, and limit yourself to drinking.
A nice view of the water? My coworker recommended that I come and check out Monty‘s I literally wasted almost 2 hours here for lunch they do not have a lunch menu and I asked them specifically is it dinner portions because what it seems like to me is they’re giving lunch portions at dinner prices but when I asked I was told that it’s the same menu same prices all day I placed the order for shrimp tacos and apparently the server misheard me and brought me like shrimp and grits so another order had to be placed for the correct item which meant more waiting I also went ahead and ordered a dessert at the time I placed my entrée order of which I never received but at this point I just went ahead and asked for my check and left because I told you you knew that I was there for lunch I asked multiple people in there about lunch menus if you couldn’t get the picture then I just don’t know what will those shrimp tacos three small little shrimps for each taco the rest of it is full of cabbage or coleslaw I asked for my ranch had to ask for that two or three times I was not offered any drinks just a complementary water you don’t have to worry about me coming back this is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in the three years of living here I don’t see the hype here. I don’t even know my server’s name cause it wasn’t offered to me so I couldn’t tell you all I know it was a guy. You see these things I should’ve already known if it was good service but that did not happen poor food poor service. Now I’m going back to work pretty much empty that was like barely a snack but yet it cost me almost $30 for nothingness. And don’t get me started on the forced 18% gratuity but you wanna call a service charge and then have the audacity to ask me for an additional tip or circle tip on the receipt y’all are really really wild for thinking that I would even entertain that. Be for real Thanks a lot Monty’s South Beach
Trash management = trash restaurant. I came on Saturday with my service animal. My friends were already seated by the pool, so we went to join them. Before we could join them we were told by the hostess that dogs were not allowed to be seated by the pool. I politely told her about my condition and the task the animal is trained to perform for me. But she still refused to let me sit with my friends. She then told me she had to get the manager, when is when I informed her that it wasn’t necessary because it would be discriminatory. But she refused to allow me, so I waited to speak to the manager. When the manager came I informed him that my dog is a legitimate service animal, to which he said it didn’t matter (again, discriminatory). I then tried to chase him down as he refused to speak to me and walked away. Again, trash management. Finally I just went and seated myself with my friends so as not to inconvenience them. Not more than a minute or two later he came back and told me I couldn’t sit near the pool with a dog. Luckily, my friends were not bothered by this, so we moved seats to a spot inside the restaurant (with a shitty view). I’ll be filing an ADA complaint. Enjoy!
I will not be returning. I had to get up several times to get my own stuff because the server was nowhere to be found m. It was $50 for a sandwich and a sprite. They charge $6 for a cup of sprite. The music was overly loud you couldn’t even have a conversation. Above all the food taste like it was microwaved. I’ve had better food at a diner. There wasn’t any seasoning whatsoever. Disappointment
Eaten here in past and Food has gone downhill significantly. Chips had little flavor and were stale. Hamburger overcooked and dry with little flavor. No kids menu and when asked responded we have food kids will eat. Tater tots are good but who can mess that up?
I ordered to-go. There’s no shrimp in the grilled shrimp, avocado and grapefruit salad, so I called back, they said come back, but I’m 20min bike away, then they said next time you come we’ll take care of it and give you another salad, but I’m just a tourist leaving the next day, so I asked can I get the shrimp refunded, the answer is no…this is not the customer service I’m expecting especially they put 10% service charge as default even for to-go orders. Good customer service won’t even let me ask about refund but offer it themselves. And the food is not that impressive either…
