Hello everyone, good morning ☀️❤️ Yesterday I went with my husband to this little restaurant just 5 minutes by car from Brickell, and I can only say: please don’t miss it 🤩 If you want to enjoy delicious and authentic 🇬🇷 Greek food, this is the place 🥗. This restaurant has been in business for 51 years 😮, but they told me they don’t have as many clients as before since more people now go to Brickell Downtown. That’s such a shame because the service is extremely kind, the food is amazing 😻 , and the prices are great! You don’t have to pay for parking and you can park just right in front of its door! 🚪 Its name is Mykonos Greek Restaurant! If you want a little change and to try something quieter but still delicious, this is the place!
Jason was a great waiter and the food was exquisite. They have amazing lemon soup, best one I’ve had in Miami. I also had a delicious moussaka and hot chai. I really recommend this place especially to those with allergies because they have allergy friendly options!
Located just outside of Brickell on Coral Way, this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Greek dining experience. The decor of the restaurant is reminiscent of Greece, and it's easy to feel transported to another country while dining there. Not only is the ambiance fantastic, but the food is delicious as well. I highly recommend trying the traditional Greek dishes such as the moussaka and the gyro platter. To top it off, the manager is incredibly welcoming and offered me a complimentary glass of wine while I waited for my meal. This extra touch of hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious Greek food and a cozy atmosphere. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
One of the most amazing places i’ve been. Our server Lorena made the entire experience so memorable. Amazing food and it’s sad that it’s not packed with people. It deserves all of the michelin stars. Lorena was incredible and our entire experience tonight was amazing.
The food was delicious, first time here, we live in the area but all the time we wanted to try the food! Was a good experience, the food is authentic and very simple menu, for everyone! The service was on point and very nicely!!!
Wow am I surprised today! I have been coming to this restaurant for over a year, usually order the same thing but asked my waiter Gaby for a recommendation today and she said the appetizer platter. I thought I would give it a go and was blown away by how tasty and filling everything was! This will be what I order from now on hands down thanks so much :)
We've lived in Miami so long and I cannot believe we're just now stopping in to eat here after passing by it so many times! The hummus and gyros were delicious, baklava was a bit hard, but other than that we had a great lunch! Service was great too. Will definitely be back.
Loved, loved, loved this place. The service was outstanding. Both our waiters were really nice and one of them recommend the kebabs for my husband, which he tried. We loved the portions and loved the seasoning. Our baklava was warmed before they served it to us, and they added an extra drizzle of honey. I'm already counting the days until I return!
It was amazing! Empty when we arrived but the food was perfect and Javier our waiter was amazing.
As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. The restaurant is kind of camouflaged to the tourists eye as the building is a bit aged. Talking to the staff member, the restaurant has been in the family for 3 generations and is going on 45 years strong. The food itself shows why they had lasted 45 years as it was amazing. The falafel, gyros, humas, and pita were all exceptional 👌. As a heads, the portion sizes here are larger than expected. So come hungry. This is definitely a place if you are in the mood for greek and in the area.
Tonight we celebrated my birthday at Mykonos, it was a very nice and sweet celebration. They closed at 10 and I came in around 8:20pm for dinner. It’s my first experience eating Greek food but I loved it! It was savory and pleasant with every bite. Javier and Lorena took care of us and made us feel right at home. They recommended plates and each one was exclusively amazing, they also sang happy birthday for me and it was such a sweet gesture they even took the charge away for the dessert. We started with cheese saganaki for the appetizer. We had amazing wine with our meal called Agiogitiko and we had lamb shank with rice and lamb chops with buttery lemon herb potatoes. The lamb was soft and cooked to perfection the potatoes weren’t overcooked and savory, the rice was the perfect side with the shanks gravy. For dessert we had a galaktoboureko which was warm and had this yummy custard inside and cinnamon sprinkled on top. We loved our servers both Lorena and Javier, they were so nice and sweet to us. We will definitely be going back! Thank you Mykonos for making my birthday so special!
Mikonos Greek Restaurant in Miami delivers authentic Mediterranean flavors in a cozy, casual setting. The menu offers standout dishes like spanakopita, lamb gyro, and grilled seafood, all prepared with fresh ingredients. The ambiance is welcoming, with simple yet charming decor. Service is friendly, though it can be slower during busy times. Prices are moderate, and portions are generous. Overall, Mikonos is a great spot for enjoying traditional Greek cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
I really enjoyed it here, very friendly staff and the service went well too. I walked in to order takeout and ordered Giro. The meat was tasty and not dried out like other places. The restaurant was very clean and looked romantic. I will be coming back with my husband for dinner! Thank you, everyone, for your positive atmosphere!
Best greek experience ever! Great food, pretty good selection of beverages, amazing desserts (seriously, amazing), the coffee is definitely delicious and also they have really good prices and service! I want to come back at least once a week
This place was amazing. Authentic Greek !!! It’s a must !!!! Staff and food were absolutely the best !!! Pay for what you got…size and quality so worth it 🥰
Went there for dinner and had an amazing night. Their souvlaki and baklava were delicious. The staff were really friendly and we talked a lot about greek islands. During the night, they had a DJ which was playing a great mix of pop songs
I went tonight and the food and service were superb. My wife got the roasted chicken with rice and vegetables which consisted of lesur peas and fresh carrots. The entire platter was enough food for two people. I got the gyro platter with roasted potatoes. Again, the platter was enough to share. Their tazeki sauce was a great flavor without being overbearing.
A great restaurant with delicious food and a feeling of satisfaction when you leave. I hope it stays for a long time and that the quality stays the same or improves. Portions could always be bigger though, (hint-hint 😉) Last 3 or 4 experiences that I recall a couple years ago maybe I consistently felt like portions were less and less than the previous time. That'd be the only part I recall feeling just a little unhappy with. Atmosphere, service, flavor were all great!
Yummy!!! Greek food does not get better than this! The food is delicious and amazingly flavorful! Freshness of the ingredients is the hallmark of this phenomenal restaurant. You'll love the ambiance and the attentive and professional wait staff. This is a wonderful establishment which I highly recommend.
A wonderful experience. Ambience was just the right mix of upbeat/lively and calm. The food was flavorful and so fresh. Kostas was so delightful and provided excellent customer service. So sweet. Will definitely be coming again!
We brought our baby with us for date night and waitress Ingrid Lorena did a great job making us feel welcome and at ease. The food was excellent and we enjoyed our date night.
Have been coming to this restaurant for many years. As of recent, they have made great change that I love. The management and staff have worked very hard to provide quality food and service. They provide genuine Greek cuisine, having visited the country before, I feel qualified to say exceed expectations.
Quick stop for lunch with friends and had a great experience. Mykonos has a generational charm, attentive servers, and delicious fare. We had the roasted chicken followed by baklava cheesecake. Drove past this place for years so it's about time we found this little gem.
Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Greek restaurant and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were transported straight to a cozy taverna somewhere in the Greek islands. The décor, music and overall atmosphere created an authentic and welcoming vibe. We ordered the mykonos poikilia for two that was nothing short of amazing — perfectly cooked meats, juicy and full of flavor. The tzatziki was creamy and refreshing, the perfect complement to the meat, and the fried zucchini slices were golden, crispy, and addictive! To top it all off, we finished with a warm, syrupy slice of galaktoboureko that was just divine — soft, creamy, and not overly sweet. A special mention goes to our waiter Jason, who was not only attentive and friendly but also added to the overall charm of the evening with his warmth and helpful suggestions. He made us feel like honored guests. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic Greek dining experience in Miami. We’ll definitely be back!
For the past 15 years, we've been making unforgettable memories at this incredible place! While we're not Greek food experts, every visit delivers mouthwatering dishes and exceptional service. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for savoring every bite. And let's not forget the enchanting Greek music that sets the perfect mood! Each experience is truly immersive, turning every meal into a delightful adventure! Thank you
We visited this restaurant some days ago, the food was great! Jason, the server, was really kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place, we are definitely going back!
I've been coming here on and off since the 1980's, and the quality of the dishes has remained superb. I've recently enjoyed the gyro sandwiches, which are the best in town by far. The pasticio is excellent too.
Had fantastic service with Lorena, she was very attentive the entire time checking in, made the perfect recommendations. We got the gyro platters -delicious. The baklava cheese cake was to die for !!! The best thing I've ever had. I loved it so much will definitely return to Miami to get a taste of that again. Thanks for the great service.
The food was delicious and fresh. I ordered the grilled Bronzino and it was out of this world. My family ordered thesalmon and it was amazing. All of our appetizers were delicious and authentic. The service was outstanding, all of the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Great atmosphere with a beautiful view. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
We recently visited this place for my friends birthday Jason was our server and he was amazing All he’s recommendations were great The food is very tasteful and the atmosphere is great if you want to enjoy a dinner with friends and family Definitely coming back
I love this place greek authentic cuisine. The tzatziki is the best I’ve had (probably because it’s homemade food!) And they have been around since 1973! Met the owners son Alexios great vibes.
I went today with my friends and had an excellent time. The food quality was beyond great, truly Greek flavors, the quantity was beyond expectation and we paid only $30 per person. The staff was welcoming, accommodating and provided us with detailed explanations of the menu. I’m so coming back with my family. Lovely experience
Delicious food!!! Had Mousaka and bf had Spaghetti Bolognese. Absolutely DIVINE! Dessert was INCREDIBLE too!! Birds nest & baklava cheesecake are highly recommended.
Great value, great service. Greek salad was fantastic. Hard to score atmosphere as it wasn’t very busy when we arrived. Restrooms were clean.
What amazing customer service!! I made a mistake and ordered food for delivery but it turns out they don't actually have delivery (except through the apps) so it was changed to a pickup order. I didn't have a vehicle so couldn't pick it up. The owner was so kind and offered to deliver it himself! Wow!!! The food is incredible, of course. Please support this restaurant because they really deserve your business!!
Food was very fresh and authentic. We had the platter for two and it was more than enough. Its the best way to try all of what they have to offer. The restaurant was very clean and well organized. Waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. Will be going there again.
I think coming here for the past 5 years the food is delicious. We always come for lunch and Gaby always services us she’s always accommodated and always provides an exceptional service snd always makes us feel welcomed .
10/10!! The atmosphere alone is worth the trip but the food is just as good! Very authentic and a great experience. They had light but vibrant music going and the place is decorated so beautifully That it felt like being in Greece !! Came in here for a birthday dinner while staying in Miami and will definitely be back. The staff was so friendly and attentive that anyone could walk in and feel welcomed. Best hummus & baklava I’ve ever had but would order every single thing again. Can’t wait to come back :)
I’ve been coming here for over 35+ years. This family owned restaurant is a little gem at the turn to Coral Way. Stop by, they have a great menu with options for all. I highly recommend the Greek style green beans, they are an amazing addition to any dish. People say Baklava that’s great, but when you try their Galaktoboureko Dessert you will know heaven. I’ve tried this dessert through out my travels even in Santorini and I still choose Mykonos restaurant every time. A must if you are a local or a visitor. You’ll enjoy a little piece of Greece in Miami. Authentic and delicious!
Most delicious, fresh, well cooked, well seasoned food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Atmosphere is friendly and warm. Would recommend!
My sister and I visited last week and we had a great time! The dishes we loved the most were the Dip Trio with pita bread, the Fried Zucchini chips with tzatziki, the Chicken Souvlaki, and the Cheesecake Baklava! There was a live DJ who was amazing and kept the vibes at a 10/10 all night. The service was also exceptional, our waitress was kind, engaging, and attentive! Can’t wait to come back!
I’ve been going to this place for years! The food is amazing and so is the service. My girls and I have been going for almost 10 years now and we always run into Gaby. She’s great and very attentive. Everytime I show up she already knows exactly what I’m going to order. If you want something healthy & delicious this is the spot.
The restaurant gives off a great Mediterranean Vibe. The DJ played a variety of music that complimented the atmosphere. The food was made fresh to order & tasted divine. We were a party of 8 so I highly recommend this place for family gatherings🏛
Genuinely great Mediterranean food. Greek salad was very refreshing and appetizing. The gyro platter was incredible. Tried the Greek Fries with feta cheese, and they were great, as well. Have Greek domestic beer options, so got to enjoy some Mythos and Fix beers. Very enjoyable, and honestly brought me back to my trip to Athens.
After years of driving by, I finally stopped in—and I’m so glad I did. We came for dinner on Saturday night during Mother’s Day weekend and absolutely loved it. The service was top-notch. The lamb chops are a must, and so are the gyros. The desserts were fantastic, especially the baklava cheesecake. I appreciated the honesty—they don’t make it in-house, but they get it fresh daily from a Greek bakery nearby. I’d definitely recommend this spot. It’s great for both small and large groups. Looking forward to coming back to try their lunch specials."
I recently had the pleasure of eating here with my family. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The Chicken Souvlaki was juicy and delicious. My wife said she'd never had a better Gyro and my kid just completely destroyed the Greek Fries. There sooo much we ate. I can't remember them all, but I will say this.... the Saganaki (fried cheese) is by far my favorite thing from there. We were so impressed with it that we ordered 3! I also had to take a video of the process but can only show pictures here. The picture of the cup defying gravity was my Greek Coffee. Last thing...if you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the Galactobureko dessert!
If I could give this place more stars, I would. My friend and I had such a pleasant experience, not only with the fresh delicious food, but service was top notch. Accommodating our special requests, adding additions to our to-go orders without charge, we wish we found this place on our first day of stay rather than the last. We shared the Greek salad (not pictured) and the combo platter. Highly impressed with the quality and attention to flavor combinations. I've already recommended this place to friends and will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
Wow! What delicious fresh food and great service! Kykonos is very authentic and the restaurant definitely has a Greek vibe, beautiful scenic paintings and photos throughout. Dolmades & gyros were so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the saganaki; they toasted the cheese right front of us, incredible experience.
I go here to get my gyro fix. The grape leaves are also great, and they have a solid selection of Greek desserts. I usually do takeout; if you're looking for a cost-effective date night at home, grab a bottle of wine from next door and a gyro from this place.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mykonos, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The highlight of the evening was the outstanding customer service provided by Lorena, who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable time. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for every guest made the experience even more special. The food was equally amazing. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main courses, each plate was prepared with precision and creativity, showcasing the chef’s talent and passion for quality cuisine. I highly recommend Mykonos for anyone looking for delicious food and top-notch service. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, you won’t be disappointed!
I’ve driven by this restaurant thousands of times and in the years I’ve lived in Miami and have told myself I should check it out sometime and finally did last night. And boy do I feel like I’ve been missing out. It’s a real shame they don’t have more customers these days because the food and the service is incredible. Prices are reasonable-ish, especially for Miami. And it’s one of the few dining experiences I’ve had in the city in recent years where I don’t feel like I got ripped off, that I could’ve made it better at home, and that in general, it was overhyped and overpriced for no reason. I have certainly spent a lot more money on significantly less satisfying meals in this city. The decor, ambience, and food transported me right back to Greece. If only the food could be just as cheap as it was there though 😂 but I understand that wouldn’t be practical. The marinated Half chicken was some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant in my life. Yes, it’s that good. The flavor was incredible. For 28 bucks it’s enough food for two people to share. The rice that it came with was also excellent, and impressive, considering that most restaurants serve rice on the side as a formality, but never feel like they put that much effort into it We also had the fried calamari which was solid and the tomato sauce that it came with, was again higher quality than expected And the Greek salad (the authentic one, not the one with lettuce) was really good, colorful and big enough to share for two people easily. But I will say $21 for it is a little excessive given there’s probably fewer than seven dollars worth of ingredients in it and they likely make it in large batches. But I suppose they have to make up their margins somewhere. So I can’t be too mad. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and jovial and provided excellent service as well All in all I really hope this place doesn’t get bought out and turned into a Starbucks or something because it would be a real drag for the city to lose such a genuine place for locals that doesn’t require a down payment on a car.
Excelente servicio. 100% recomendado.
Loved the grilled octopus - it was cooked to perfection on a bed of tomato and onion with a red wine vinaigrette. So tasty. My husband got the gyro and said it was also really good. Perfect lunch spot after visiting Vizcaya
The food was amazing, but the air conditioning was like being in Alaska without a coat, that made me not enjoy the food as much, you need a jacket ...really. the guys need help serving the food, it takes too long to get food, right now I'm timing when we order dessert and has been 30 minutes and I am not kidding. Overall food the lamb chops and the potatoes are great.....but again you really need your patience when ordering food. Desert got here and the mousse was really good
We had a great time. Great music playing in the background. You can still have a conversation without feeling like you’re screaming at each other at the table. Jesús was an amazing server. The food was great. The shrimp entrée was the best. Amazing wine selection. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Good location, good customer service, good taste. Free parking. The only negative is the high cost and small portions. Be OK paying $50+ for a meal. Overall, I recommend, tasty food.
Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We got the meat platter for 2 with the roasted potatoes. The lamb was a bit charred and overcooked but everything else was cooked fine. The flavors were intense in the best way. Be aware, they charge 4% to use credit cards.
Great service and good food but not amazing. I would give 3.5 if that was an option. The chicken souvlaki was grilled very well. The Gyro was okay, just like any Gyro on the street. The musaka, which is a egg plant and beef lasagna, was really good. Overall a good experience.
Decent food, but every item is overpriced by a few dollars. To boot, the prices did not match what was listed on the website. The Greek salad and the Galaktoboureko dessert were good - especially the latter. The gyro sandwiches could have included more meat. Free parking available in front. Not a place we’d return to.
Pros: good location, easy parking, friendly and fast service. Cons: menu needs to be updated or better said - have better description of the items; the roasted potatoes are actually lemon potatoes which are great! The chicken gyro is actually not chicken- it s a processed meat substituting chicken- do urself a favor and get either the chicken souvlaki or the beef/lamb gyro.
food was not bad, too many raw onions for my taste but overall good. outdoor seating was kinda loud as there is a highway right next to it. Glass came with a previous customer's lipstick on it.
This restaurant has been a part of the historic Coral Way/Roads neighborhood since the early 1980s. Sadly, the customer service is far from the warm and friendly service of years past. The owner didn't even greet us when we were in his presence awaiting a table! It's because of customers that the appreciation for patrons should never be forgotten. The menu is pricey and really doesn't have to be. The food remains fresh and quite good.
The food tastes authentic, and the service is good. However, the rice I got the last couple of visits has been stale: dry, and hard to bite. After informing the wait staff both times, there was no acknowledgment from a manager or anyone else, and there was no effort to correct the issue. They charged the full price of the dish. It's a pity. It would be a great place if the food were just fresh.
We ordered a carry out and the food was horrible. The bread and gyro was burn black. The rest of the food was not bad, but not as good as past experience. After calling, they said we can claim "free food" in the future. Nope. we are not paying for this mess. What a disappointment.
Today is 9/20/2023. I went with my brother and mother (our ages range 48-76). My mother and I ordered the lamb shank plate and my brother ordered moussaka. The lamb shank was undeniably too salted to the point that it obscured the taste of the lamb meat. It was served with a small portion of white rice (parboiled?). The rice was white without seasoning or color but it had an off-putting taste that resembled what to me was "soapy". It was dissapointing from the start but at $28 a plate it was eaten. Money doesn't grow on trees for me. While waiting for the food to arrive I overheard a server checking up on the party behind us. After asking "how's everything?", the man behind me simply replied "the fries are good." Our server came by to check on us and we answered honestly and she stated that she would relay the info to the manager. It was apparent that our opinion was unimportant to him as he did not ever acknowledge us at our table. The place was too pretentious for me but the setting had me expecting a good food experience. I've been around the world, have been exposed to different cultures, and I had a better expectation of a Greek food dining experience.
My family and I have been coming here for years. This would be where we would stop for dinner after a day at the beach. We would get a table outside and it was always enjoyable. We went recently and it has definitely changed hands. The menu has changed, and prices have increased a lot. We had about 3-4 different servers that all kept coming around repeatedly asking all the same questions. It was overwhelming. The staff also seemed incompetent and inexperienced. One of the servers apologized without us even mentioning anything and said us servers keep coming over because the manager keeps telling them to. They seemed stressed and uncomfortable. It made us feel the same way. The food was always good here, but again they have clearly re-branded or changed hands. The pita was charred and tough. The lamb chops were extremely over-cooked and tough to eat. The meat platter we had was all over-cooked. I’ve grown up eating Greek food, and I’ve never had over-cooked lamb chops. The manager asked if we asked to have it prepared at a low temperature. 🤦🏻♂️ We did not. Never have I ever had to make such request. The Greek restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of eating at have always perfectly cooked lamb. It’s always been falling off the bone tender. The lamb chops here were charred, tough and destroyed. Their Greek salad was missing olives and feta cheese. That’s not an authentic Greek salad. 😔 This was my first meal all day. What a let down. After coming here for years, with a good amount of time between each visit, we were shocked with our experience and will never return. Sad, because this was our go-to spot. Sometimes things change for the worse.
Horrible!!! My family and I, a party of 3, ordered two Lamb Shanks and a Moussaka. The Lamb Shanks were salty and the rice tasted like detergent. The potatoes in the Moussaka were hard. The server was sweet and offered free dessert but we just wanted to leave. The manager didn't even come to our table to address the issue. He was too busy putting out fire drills at the table next door where the patron stated only the fries were good. This eatery has existed for a while. But as a returning customer, it definitely has changed for the worse!
Bad service! Rip-off prices! We ordered a platter for 2 for $70 that was stated as $50 on the online menu. The online menu for this platter indicated soup or salad included, we just got ONE PLATE for $70. The Sangria was mediocre for $16, is less than $10 even at great restaurants. We wasted our Friday evening - never going back. Very upset! Spent over $100 😡
I used to go because it was the only greek place with vegetarian options (specifically the moussaka). Even when ate meat I preferred it as their meat moussaka was nothing special. They took that out of the menu and now its like all the other mid greek places in Miami, but smaller portions and pricier.
I’m not sure how this place has so many good reviews. While the staff was very pleasant tonight, the food was awful. The only tasty things were the tzatziki and pita. The moussaka flavor was overwhelmingly sweet and the dominant flavor was cinammon (we had to send it back - it was absolutely inedible). The macaroni with bechamel had a custard-like texture. The octopus was flavorless and was more tomato/onion than octopus. The fries were extremely overcooked. The lemon rice soup lacked flavor in general and definitely lacked lemon flavor. I had to ask for tea 3 times before actually receiving it. And now 3 of 4 of us are having stomach issues tonight. The manager was nice and receptive to our feedback and I was reluctant to write a review. But after having the severe diarrhea I did not long after dinner, and realizing that the only remedy to the awful experience we had would be for the restaurant management to really understand the severity of their situation, I decided to go ahead and do so. Until the chef changes I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here!
