Delicious French/Basque cuisine. The quality is superior! A Coral Gables classic that keeps introducing new dishes for the most delicate palates with very decent portions! A must try!!!

The service is so good and i really appreaciate it. It was a saturday night but its not crowded at all. The restaurant is beautiful im obsessed with the lighting it makes my skin looks unreal. The rib is delicious, i love the sauce. I actually came here for the foie gras and it was very satisfied. The scallop has wine in it so its not my favorite.

My fiancé and I have come here many times. We like to celebrate our intimate moments here. From valentines days to birthdays, I knew this was his favorite place and would enjoy coming here with him. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. The desserts include a chocolate lava type delicacy that can only be fully explained through experiencing it.

Had lunch with a friend yesterday at Pascale’s. We asked for the Miami Spice menu but decided to order from the main menu. This was my fourth time there but my friend’s first time. We both ordered the Wild Salmon Slowly Poached In Olive Oil, Pappardelle, Caramelized Cauliflower, and Truffle Vinaigrette. For dessert we shared the Frozen Orange Givree, Crisp Tuille - Meringue Brulee Everything was absolutely delicious and our server, Ronnie, was attentive, friendly and made us feel like we were the only ones dining. I give this restaurant an A+. I have already made dinner reservations with the husband!

I had such a lovely experience here for my Birthday. We did the 5 course pairing, and everything was absolutely delicious. The lamb was cooked and crusted to perfection. I truly appreciate the service and attentiveness of the staff. I look forward to coming back on my next trip.

We first tried Pascals in 2018 loved it then as much as we did last night. There is lots of great food in Coral Gables but finding relaxed, attentive perfect wine service as Pascals does is much more difficult. All of our dishes were very yummy. Looking forward to our next visit

My go to French restaurant these days. I love Pascal’s, the quality, delicacy and flavor of the food is just top of the line. They have a great selection of wines (of course!) to pair with your meals, great ambiance and just pure quality. Sadly the terrace is closed, but you can still have an amazing experience. My recommendation is to order the French staple dishes, you will not regret it.

Chef-driven, period. No one knows what makes a Rembrandt a Rembrandt, a Cézanne a Cézanne, or Pascal’s on Ponce Pascal’s. If I knew, I wouldn’t be writing this free review! Artistry is a gift, so unwind and enjoy this gift if you can. Maybe it’s the combination of the service, the imaginative cuisine steeped in tradition, and the heart of the place, or maybe it’s just magic. Regardless, you will not regret the transformative power of a great meal here. Worth it, rinse, repeat.

Edit - Nov. 2024. We've been back several times since I last posted this. We realized we keep on going back for all the reasons mentioned below, but we are certain our number one dish that keeps on making us come back is their souffle (both the cheese and chocolate souffles). This place is fantastic. I've visited several times now, and the food is consistently amazing. Everything my partner and I have tried is spot on—cooked perfectly and impeccably. From the steak and soup to the cheese soufflé, chocolate soufflé, chicken with truffle, lamb, foie gras, cheese platter, and the tasting menu—everything has been excellent. The service is very attentive as well. They are there when needed without hovering. Overall, it's a very good experience every time. By the way, my spouse loves margaritas, and he says Pascal's has one of the best ones in Miami. I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely go back.

I returned last night after a few years of living away from Miami. The main dish (duck) was the best I have ever had. Absolutely sublime! The white asparagus appetizer was perfect and the Grand Manier soufflé delicious! So happy to see that Pascal’s cuisine continues offering its high standards together with impeccable service.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. The menu offers a fantastic selection of French and Spanish cuisine, and we tried several dishes from both — every single one was extraordinary. Congratulations to Chef Alberto and the entire team for their outstanding work. We’ll definitely be back soon!

What a delightful surprise! We were greeted by our server Juan Carlos who gave us great recommendations and a bit of gazpacho, courtesy of the restaurant. We ordered lubina, burger and pig’s cheek. I never had pig’s cheeks before. If you have never tried it before, you are missing an experience. We ordered the house wine by the glass. A Rioja that was also very good. I took a photo to buy more. The dessert was a Tart tartin. Very good.

M
Michelle Hanuszkiewicz

Absolutely amazing! Every dish was delicious and the service was excellent! The owner, Alberto, frequently came by…incredible attention to detail! We had the beef tartar, cheese plate, duck confit, Australian Lamb and Grand Marnier Soufflé! Totally recommend this local gem…we cannot wait to return to try more dishes.

We had such a great night here! The six of us tried the Miami Spice dishes—bacalao pil pil and oxtail were both amazing—and couldn’t resist the off-menu specials, especially the grilled octopus with melted tetilla cheese and 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, plus the escargots. Everything was delicious. The place feels warm and welcoming, the service was excellent, and Chef Pastor came by to chat—he’s just as charming as everyone says. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, what a remarkable improvement from my previous visits to the iconic Pascal on Ponce! In the past, the food was good, but the atmosphere always left me feeling that the restaurant might close soon. To my surprise, a miracle happened: Executive Chef Alberto Pastor took over and spearheaded an incredible transformation. He revamped the decor, menu, and even the staff’s spirit. This time, the food was exceptional. We had the pleasure of speaking with the chef, who graciously invited us to try croquettes we hadn’t ordered and offered us a glass of wine. I’m thrilled to see Chef Pastor’s influence at Pascal, making it a vibrant addition to Coral Gables.

We had an incredible Wine Dinner at Pascal. The food was absolutely amazing every dish was crafted with so much flavor and elegance. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable, guiding us through each pairing with confidence and passion. And Alberto, the owner, truly stands out. Had an overnight trip to Miami with my daughter and wanted to explore the Miami scene. From all restaurants, Pastor at Pascal appealed to us. Even thought the kitchen was closed, Chef Alberto Pastor allowed us in and served us 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham (hand cut by himself) with a cheese board and wine pairings. As a bonus they had live music and they even let my daughter sing along with them. Thanks Anabel, you are simply the best! Overall, we had a surreal experience and felt so welcome (like family). Menu is diverse in Spanish and French cuisine with a selective wine list. Cannot wait to come back and this time have the complete dining experience. Pretty sure I’ll try the “Bacalao Pil-Pil (Cod fish) and next the Oxtail. This place is a must stop in Miami.

12/19/2025 A great discovery, where excellence blends seamlessly with quality and a remarkable atmosphere, creating something that is not always easy to find in the city of Miami — the feeling of a truly great experience. Food: Dishes prepared with great precision, featuring modern presentation without compromising portion size. Textures that engage all five senses. Service: Highly professional staff who clearly know how to act and respond at every moment, always attentive to ensure nothing is missing from the table, and consistently welcoming guests with a smile. Ambience: This place creates a special harmony where the magic of great food, live music, and an excellent crowd come together, making it a venue that undoubtedly invites you to return. Conclusion: Aside from minor details and operating hours that feel more aligned with Europe, this is a discovery worth revisiting and supporting as it continues to grow and refine a project that has truly caught my attention.

Saturday night and a very busy and buzzing dining room, to the point of shouting. We ate from the Miami dine out set menu which seemed to irritate our server who was a little to authoritative with our group. Saying that. The food was pretty good. Decent sized portions. If I was to return I would try a school night so I can hopefully talk and listen.

I had dinner with my family and had a pleasant time with the service, ambiance and wine. The price on the menu has increased in most choices by almost $4 when compared to their website (online) menu. We ordered the lamb rack and it came with just 2 pieces, which was a little disappointing considering the price on it ($51), and the duck confit was over the dry aspect. We had a very delightful experience with the foie fras as our appetizer. The decoration of the restaurant is plain and a little "cold" looking. Frequently vacationing in France has set my standards for the French cuisine experience high. Thank you

M

Mussels and french fries were stellar. People in my group had steaks and they all liked it. Service was a little slow for a business lunch but we were 15 people. Very kind waiters. Will return for a more intimate dinner. Good to know: They offer BYOB on Monday night and waive the cork fee. Good way to drive business on Monday night!

We were a group of 7 people. In my case I had the Cantabric sardines and the Spanish tortilla and the Basque cheese cake and everything were excellent. At the beginning I asked for manzanilla and the server didn't know what was it. You need to include finos in your wine menu. We have to wait for more than 30 minutes for our table. The service was just acceptable, the lady server only spoke medium English. I will be back with my wife.

Great food. Mediocre service: service started off strong but then trailed off towards the end. This seems to be a common theme for restaurants in Miami, but expected better at this local staple.

I had high hopes coming into this French restaurant, especially with its solid 4.4-star rating on Google Maps. Unfortunately, the food overall left me underwhelmed. Most of the dishes were just meh, nothing particularly memorable or exciting in terms of flavor or presentation. That said, the soufflé was a standout and absolutely worth it. Light, rich, and beautifully done. Service was great, and the atmosphere was nice, but for the price I expected more from the food

I have been going to Pascal on and off for the last 15 years. Over the years , price kept climbing to a point where this restaurant is way overpriced for the level of service and food served. Wine list is below par with very few wines to choose from. Cheese Souffle appetizer and Dessert souffle are some of the best in town but the main courses are Meh... . For an average of 42 Usd per course I would expect much more.

R
ROBERTO Zinn

Excellent food, terrible bread. I like to have bread with my meals, even in small quantities make an important part of the experience specially if you are eating a marvelous terrine of foie grass or an excellent beef tenderloin with a thick red wine sauce. The bread does not match the food, it takes away.

H
Hilda de la Vega

Good food, delicious gruyere cheese souffle. But as always staff is snooty and even though there were only 4 tables occupied on Thursday night and we had reservations they always sit you on the worst table if you're only a party of 2. Go somewhere else, Wait for your cheese souffle.

This a review and contrast of the original Pascal and the new owner, under Pastor At Pascal. I think the food was delicious, and service was good. I am not giving the restaurant 5 stars for two minor details....One, the artificial plants make the place look dark and horrible, TWO please lower the music back ground, I could hardly hear what my husband was saying. For a place like this I think smooth jazz, or classical music would have been appropriate. Instead they were playing modern pop music and loud. I miss the old Pascal restaurant. Why break what used to work

Foods pretty good but the experience was ruined by the server recommending a Ribera del duoro wine, and after looking at the menu the most expensive wine under their ribera del duoro section was $110. So we naturally ordered it going but this wine was not listed here. Yet they charged us $600 for two bottles. . They should be upfront about cost of a 300$ bottle instead of up selling and pushing something. For the last bottle we said we would just get a glass of wine each but the same server said it would be cheaper to buy a bottle of wine. The most expensive glass of wine is about 20 dollars, so the server here again is just trying to upsell and get higher tips. It's not appreciated at a lovely restaurant with history of amazing food and service.

I don’t give reviews but this warranted it. Party of 3. We all ordered chicken. It came raw. We sent back. It came raw again for 1 of us. Minimal apology. No compensation. I ordered a cappuccino to enjoy with my soufflé and it came after I finished because the assistant waiter reminded our waiter. Just sad in every way today. Hard to justify going back.

For a late lunch, it definitely did not live up to its name. My mom said that they probably sold the place because it's different. The service was uninspired, constantly waiting for things like lemons? and water service... What? They had many people working but no one doing much. I saw nice if the bus boy then anyone. Food took a long time.. which would have been fine if you was not mostly specials. The steaks were less then inspired, like a top sirloin.. Over cooked to order. Medium rare was medium well. No we didn't send it back. After waiting. No way. Soup was bland. One stale dinner roll.. bagget, was dropped in the plate at a time. The butter was excellent and served in a little container. Nice temperature to shave off for use in a roll. But bagget were so hard they needed to be broken with force. Checked picatta was good. Steak not good. And the salad nicoise was very nice. Playing was good and generous greens. The tuna was not ... Delicious. Served seated on the out side and raw inside but not the right color.. at all. Ummmmm Desserts were ok I guess. Included profiterole was ok. The Baked Alaska should be approached with caution. It seems like Frozen ice cream with Carmalised meringue topping. I had heard it used to be served on fire. So much for stories I'd the old days. Nothing at the table was exceptional. Where everything should have been at least excellent. We are all foodies and this was .... a loved restaurant of days gone past.

Me and my husband decided to dine at Pascal’s this evening. Hoping to enjoy dinner at a fine dining, French establishment, we were left disappointed and shocked. The evening started with us deciding on the four course tasting menu, accompanied with the wine pairing. The service started off great, but as the restaurant got busier, it was noticeably getting worse. The wine pairings came out after the entrees were presented, not presenting each dish properly with the accompanying wine. These factors did not bother us at first until the end of our meal. At the beginning of the meal we requested the cheese plate to follow the dessert an additional cost of $10. When we received our soufflé and wine pairing, after waiting over 30 minutes, and it was not worth the wait. The soufflé was drenched with coco powder that was over powering, it was not good. We requested the bill and noticed the cheese plate was added, even though we did not receive it. After the bad experience with the dessert we were no longer hungry and asked for the cheese plate to be removed. Another server returns to our table with the cheese plate we requested to have removed, we told them to bring it back. Our waitress returns and informs us the chef has told her that she has to charge us and we can take it home. Me and my husband were left speechless, excuse me? She then indicated to us it is not her fault she is just doing her job. The audacity of a restaurant owner to charge a $10 plate after their servers never brought it out and we are forced to pay for it? After paying over $300 for the tasting and pairing, to think it is proper service of a fine dining restaurant to charge the customer for a cheese plate ha. What a joke this restaurant is, I will never recommend or speak of this restaurant again. Remember, it is the customer who keeps the restaurant in business. Uphold yourselves to a better standard, so disappointing.

Disappointed! Everything was great at the beginning. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very professional and attentive. Our appetizers were delicious and my main course dinner was very good. Where it fell apart and was very disappointing was with my wife's main course. It looks very appetizing and very well presented except for one thing. She ordered the beef tenderloin dinner, as good as it looked the steak was actually a fake steak made with meat glue. That's the industry way of using the leftovers of cheap cuts and forming them into prime cuts. I was stunned at the fact that the place would use such products and sell it at a premium price. It not about the money but about the value of my purchase. My father was an executive chef in New York City, so I know my meat and that was not a solid piece of meat tenderloin. As my wife cut into it the steak it would fall apart it different sections that did not follow the grain. It had a top flap and a bottom flap than a different cut in the middle. Huge disappointment, it was our first time here and also our last.

I love French food and this came up in my recent search and had a healthy 4.4 rating so I'm of course in. Everything started well, table was ready when promised inside and with a nice view. The place looked presentable and I proceeded to order a bottle of wine. Tasted fine and started sipping as we looked at the menu. The menu sounds great with fanciful description partly in French. I should have know by the amuse bouche which was some kind of stale crouton that the food here wasn't going to be great. But I'm hungry and adventurous so lets do this. Price for a bowl of mushroom soup which was ok was $21.00 so I figured this place is bringing it and so it was ordered with the foie gras as appetizers. The entrees were just not very good, escargot stuffed filet was overdone. It was also on the dry side too. Presentation was nice but couldn't overcome the lack of flavor other wise. Duck confit was just not good at all, tasted old and also overdone. This is a classic that you just have to get right if you want to call yourself a French restaurant. Finally we had the Baked Alaska which we were split on, but I thought it was very good, and frankly I don't know any other place in Miami that has it so I would definitely come for desert. The last negative thing to say here was a there was an uninvited "guest" that I watched crawl up the wall and walk across the ceiling before falling about 6 feet from our table. Maybe it came in from the outside but just based on how the meal went overall I just had to laugh. It pains me to write all this because the staff seemed very nice and the service was actually very good. But for $300 for two people I wont be back to see if things improve.

Many times in this restaurant. I came last Thursday Aug, 3rd, 2023 and I was disappointed with the main 2 desserts they made which are “Traditional Bittersweet Chocolate Souffle With Chocolate Ganache” and “The grand marnier Soufflé” were absolutely a mess. We never received an apologies from the chef about it. We told it to the staff and and I think that in this kind of restaurant it cannot happen. Next day, I will tell the chef that he tastes the dessert on my face. I hope that chef Pascal takes into account comments like mine, which are only about good food and service and it is only what I ask for.

We visited for Miami Spice! First disappointment, they were out of half the options for Miami Spice! On a monday at 7pm? Really they were pushing us to order a la carte! Food was a let down. Plating was weird and the filet mignon med-rare was dry and had the texture of cardboard! Do not order the Torrija! Restaurant lacks identity! More than 50% of the menu was Spanish not French! Drop the iberico options and half the dessert menu! Soufflé tasted exactly like the egg bites they sell in starbucks!

My wife and I had dinner last night as an early celebration of our wedding anniversary expecting a great experience as we’ve had in the past, unfortunately this did not happen because of chef Pascal’s arrogance. My wife ordered the special of sea scallops and as soon as she tasted the mollusks she immediately detected a whiff of ammonia which I confirmed as well. She told the staff. The plate was returned almost untouched. She was not offered a replacement dish. Upon receiving the check, the scallop special was included in the bill. My wife requested to speak to chef Pascal who refused, stating that he was very busy. This attitude is totally unacceptable and arrogant. We were expecting, as repeat patrons, to be offered at least a replacement course or removing this item from the check which is commonly done in all restaurants. Well, we will not visit this restaurant anymore. Dissatisfied and disappointed customers.

The worse thing for a restaurant is to rely on an old reputation. This is apparently what is happening chez Pascale. Yes they have been there for a long time and maybe the food was good 20 years ago but today this reputation is as old as their crowd of octogenarians and is not enough to satisfy anybody with any sense of smell and taste. The servers also seem very old and not particularly plaisant. The food is mediocre and despite the small size of the servings we couldn’t finish it all. The duck was so dry that it seemed to have been reheated multiple times. The chocolate soufflé is the same that you find in every fake French restaurent in the US which don’t have a real chef. But again if you are one of the 85 years old Cuban customers, you may love this place.

Way over priced for the quality of food and not to mention the time it took and the lack of customer service. We paid $480 and we were completely unsatisfied and hungry after paying that for basic food. Nothing French in this restaurant. the service was not only slow but poor. Save your time and especially your money and don’t go.

I am french, the service was horrible from the first minute we arrived, the worst table was give to us next to hallway toilet and kitchen, for this level of restaurant this is insane. food is really average, service is bellow average, and they are packing table one next to the other. Very pricey for what it is ? waiters should speak english really.

The food was bland and the service was bad. This place is not what it used to be. We asked to speak to the manager and he never came. Very disappointed especially since it was our anniversary. We will never be going there again. Sad because it was one of our favorite places.

I don’t understand why this restaurant has any good reviews. It’s clear this was a good restaurant once, but the owner/chefs have gotten lazy. This bears no resemblance to quality French food. It’s sloppy and poorly made. Pascal’s is priced high and presented low. Shame on them.

Terrible experience, we went for Miami spice with my boyfriend, terrible service 4 differents servers to take our orders no one following until we started to complain we waited 40 min between each plates, serveres bearly speaks english, and had no idea we spoke spanish so they started to make bad comments in spanish ... very bad we understood all. Another server was cleaning the outdoor table behind us and just spread the glass of water in the plants on the side of the street in front of our table, very trashy and yes the best was that they brought us a double cake that obviously someone decline to excuse their delays next time offer CHAMPAGNE to save your reputation not a cheapdessert. I'm french and I know French chef and class and no of these was at this restaurant.

The food was amazing, the waitress was the worst we ever had. The restaurant was empty and I think it is because of the bad service of this waitress. The place is pretty small and she serves in most of the tables. Started rushing us to order wine, before the other people arrived. Right after we ordered our food she came to ask me if we will want desert. It was 8:30 pm and the kitchen was not closing. I asked her why she was rushing us with the dessert, she said that the souffle will take 30 min. We haven’t even started eating appetizers!! It was not the moment to order dessert. She was in such a rush, we ordered a bottle of wine and she removed all our wine glasses, before the wine came. She rushed us every minute she could with a nasty attitude. At the end she added HERSELF a 20% tip. We asked why and they said it is mandatory for parties of 7. We loved the food so much! But we will never come back. The service was a nightmare. No wonder why the a small spot with delicious food was empy on a friday night.

Seated for 2 hours and half without the main courses being served. The servers were trying but the place was obviously mismanaged. They ruined Valentine’s Day dinner for us.

So, where do I start lol. Went with my wife the other day and I felt I was at a funeral. Not a very happy staff; you can tell they probably don't get treated properly. I went and asked to sit at a specific table and the blonde lady( I think she's been there for a while) said no in a rude way. No smile, no eye contact, just no! Then, server takes a while to appear with, again, not a smile or happy to see us. Food was OK. Atmosphere was very poor. Move on and go somewhere else. Plenty of other great restaurants around. Just Pure hype! Sad.

After waiting an hour and a half for our reserved table we didn't feel comfortable staying for dinner especially after seeing a hair on one of the two napkins. This experience was especially disappointing because I was planning on proposing to my partner during the evening. The only constructive feedback I have for this restaurant is to set time limits on tables for special nights like tonight to ensure patrons can get their tables in a timely manor.

Terrible experience. They tend to overbook reservations, so be prepared to wait until they figure out where to seat you, probably near the kitchen or in the middle of the hall. The service is awful, and the food is not at the level of their price tag. Keep looking; there are way better places to dine in Coral Gables.

We went to Pascals at the outbreak of COVID and enjoyed it a great deal. We vowed to go back when we felt safe in doing so. We returned last night and were seated right away. We ordered three apps, wine, and a main. We got the apps about a half hour after we ordered - not great, but should have been sooner. Two were wonderful, one was inedible. We then waited another 45 for our main after our dishes had been cleared. After 45 minutes, we asked our waiter where our food was. We were informed that the order had not been put in but it would come out soon. After another 15 minutes, we decided to cancel and pay for what we had eaten. The chef then proceeded to come out of the kitchen, start yelling at us, and threaten to charge us anyway. We stood our ground only to have the chef start yelling at us for a second time. We understand the difficulty of post COVID employment problems, but poor communication by an ample wait staff and the actions of the chef left a horrible impression on us. We wanted to support them. We will not return.

I came here for valentines last night w my husband - we've been here a few other times include two other valentines days. Typically they are great. Yesterday however was a terrible experience. They intentionally overbooked - that's what we were told. Because of that, they were extremely behind. Our reservation was at 7:15 but we didn't get a text that the table was ready UNTIL 9PM!!! We only know because we received a text. We had left about a half hour prior. And honestly they couldn't have cared less about us. They allowed another couple to be seated ahead of a few couples that were waiting including my husband and I. Again, didn't apologize, try to explain or anything. The front guy Jose didn't come from a place of empathy but said "woa is me - people are just upset" and actually said it was the same runaround last year. So they didn't learn from their mistakes but chose to treat people the same way. So everyone knows we had this reservation in place for a month prior. The worst part is no caring by the restaurant, no apology. We did not end up eating dinner here last night. I honestly love the food here but am so insulted and disappointed how we were treated. I don't think anyone who works or owns this restaurant would want to be treated this way yet they have no trouble treating others like dirt.

Had a terrible experience, service was bad, food was cold had to return the soup, waiter did not know what she was doing, could not remember our order and super expensive, shame on them

What a rip off. My main course was less than 2 ounces of lamb and no sides, which cost $58.00. My wife’a main course was less than 1 ounces of oxtail which was more bone than anything else, no side $49.00. Go figure.
