Opiniones de Plant Theory Creative Cuisine Miami
This place was awesome! Wicked vibes, don’t go if your in a hurry, but we weren’t, so it was all good. Chef came out and served us, gave us her recommendations. The food was unreal. So delicious! Decent price points. About $12-15! Super healthy options and yummy juices and smoothies!
The guava jackfruit burger is everything! Everything tasted just right and fresh. The waffle was also very enjoyable and filling. The over all experience was great. We loved the creativity within the menu, space and renewable utensils. Our server was lovely and very informative. This spot offers many great Options to indulge in!
Great place, amazing service and delicious food! The crew that served us were amazing! They were kind and patient and very insightful! The food (Southern Baked Artichik’n club) was sooo good even for a non veggie like myself.. it was so full of flavor and felt very fresh!! Everything there is eco friendly and they have many options in their menu! Excellent healthy option a few steps away from Lincoln Road (plus there are many other great places in the Eatery, so I highly recommend the venue). Looking forward to going back and trying other stuff… the jackfruit based food seem great!
The food was very good. The artichoke burger was amazing. And the food was tasty and felt healthy at the same time. I would definitely go back to have that burger again. I went with my group of vegan activists from Anonymous for the Voiceless from our Miami Chapter. If you are vegan and want to do activism find us on Facebook at AV: Miami, FL and join us as a voice for the animals. Sofía served us and she made a great job serving the 13 of us even after the time they usually close. I asked them if we could arrive just before they close and they were open to receive our group even when we were planning to arrive a few minutes before 10:00 PM and Sofia patiently took our orders and prepared all our food until after 11:00 PM. Thank you!
Their burgers were so creative and delicious! The flavors are unique and blend together so nicely. My family and I had a fun time eating here. Nice and healthy lunch, will leave you feeling satisfied and light.
Obviously the Lincoln Eatery has plenty of options but Plant Theory definitely deserves to be up on top of that list. With all of the food being Vegan friendly, you can’t really go wrong choosing anything in the menu and feeling good about it. We got the nachos and the jackfruit bbq on the nachos were PERFECTLY DELICIOUS. The presentation may not have been the prettiest but the taste of the food more than made up for it. The Tiramisu was also delicious and would be a good recommendation for anyone!
Absolutely amazing vegan spot, charming garden/alley seating. Fresh made, clever vegan food options. The artichoke burger is to die for! How damn ingenious. We also had the bean burger, and beet drink. Everything was fantastic. Service was great, right off of Collins Ave, and attached to the hotel. This isn't your run of the mill vegan junk food spot. This is proper food, delicious, and thoughtful. Cannot wait to go back!
The food was amazing. Everything is Vegan. If you're a vegan, you know how difficult it is to find a good food selection, ingredients are fresh and clean place as well; staff is cheerful and pleasant. The guava jackfruit burger is a most! ; and Black Bean & Sweet Plantain Empanada by the way gluten-free and very tasteful Plant Theory is vegan, organic, and they use biodegradable products for their plates and cups. One of the nicest in South Beach
Absolutely LOVED this spot! The food was one of the best vegan places I've been to. It truly tastes authentic & healthy, it's not like other vegan joints where the food is vegan but all processed anyways. The portions per price is well worth it too. I'm not originally from Miami so whenever I'm back I'll make sure to come back to eat at Plant Theory :)
The burger I had was delicious and the bread it was on simply divine! Edit: I've now eaten here three times during my short stay in Miami. Clearly a favorite. 🙂
My experience at Plant Theory Creative Cuisine was phenomenal. I’ve known the owner for years and missed out on the opportunity to eat at her last location while it was open. So, upon hearing they were reopening at the Lincoln Eatery, it was a no brainer to stop by. I ended up having the Southern Baked Artichik’n Club, Missing Egg and Bacun Burger and the Ice Scream Burger. Before I took one bite, I was impressed by the presentation of all of the dishes. It reminded me of what I would see at upscale restaurants. Enjoyed all three dishes and would recommend you try them for yourself. I will say that the dish that stood out the most was the Ice Scream Burger. It would never dawn on me to put ice cream between two pieces of bread. It works so well that I feel like I’ve been lied to my entire life. The bread is sweet so it complements the ice cream well. Three big checks from location, service and food. The Lincoln Eatery is a cool spot that offers a variety of different places to choose from. So if you are hanging with future vegans not open to trying delicious cruelty-free cuisine, they have other options. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu the next time I stop by.
Brought some out of town relatives here and it was their favorite meal of their whole trip. The funny thing is, my relatives aren't even vegan. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend
The place is super nice and the location is great, I tried the vegan cafe called “Plant Theory” and the Phylliss Cheesteak Roll was excellent!
Oh my foodness ! Where do I even begin? The word delicious doesn’t do this restaurant’s menu any justice. We ordered food while we were hungry ( my partner and I ) so you could guess we wanted to eat everything! I’ve been vegan for 3+ years and it was an amazingly pleasant experience , right by our airBnb location. For lunch, we had the infamous nachos, Missing Egg Burger with a side of purple corn chips , Guava BBQ jackfruit burger w a side salad, raw cheesecake, ice cream sandwich , smoothies, mojitos! Everything was so much fun to eat that it was worth that wait. The chef himself even came out to introduce himself to us. I’m so glad I was able to eat here. Definitely coming back when we’re back in South Beach.
One of our favorite places to stop for vegan food in Miami! Such a lovely little outdoor cafe setting. It’s almost all shaded so don’t worry about being in the hot sun while you eat. The service is very friendly
Best sandwich I've had in a long time!! I had the Southern Artichoke "chicken" and it was soooo good. Love that they are gluten and soy free too. Friendly staff as well! Will be back :)
Was fairly quiet compared to the rest of the South Beach, a welcome change. Were out of ingredients but nothing I wanted. Beet burger was great, but any pressure downward onto it makes it smoosh out into nothing. Flavor was perfect, side salad good as well. Smoothies and juices you can add CBD to 🕶️ Only downside is speed of service and cost, be prepared to pay out for more than one person.
I only had one day in Miami and was looking for a good vegan restaurant and am so glad that I found Planet Theory. I got the southern baked artichoke club, and it was amazing. Would highly recommend this place for the customer service, which was excellent and the food which was delicious 😋
Best vegan food I have had so far! Very friendly staff, amazing location - went twice in 2 days and most likely will go back again for the best burger (wrap option available too!!!). Thank you for the wonderful experience!!
Absolutely LOVED this spot! The food was one of the best vegan places I've been to. Sofía, the chef was amazing with us!! Can’t wait to come back to eat at Plant Theory :)
Forget about the fact that this food is vegan, extremely healthy, and some of it raw..... It is simply amazing food... Regardless of being vegan /healthy or not. Everything I have ever eaten from this restaurant was to die for in both flavor, satiety, everything . Their vegan cheesecake is better , in my opinion, than regular cheesecake . This food would make people who doubt/hate on/ wouldn't eat "vegan" food ... This would make them LOVE IT . FYI I do eat junk food and meat, this place is amazing . . I met the owners, they are very talented, inspired , hardworking , passionate chefs/restauranteurs who are extremely skilled at their craft, and it shows , both in the quality and taste of the food. Consistently.
So happy I found a vegan Resturant in south beach ! Our server Fabi was very polite and made some great recommendations. I had the Portobello mushroom burger and it was the perfect size and very delicious. I’ll be eating here every day for the rest of my stay!
Delicious! I had a mushroom sandwich. And the salad was very fresh. It is in a small mall with other eateries, so I didn't need to worry about going there with a non vegan.
As of 12/23 it's the only vegan place on the beach with an oil-free (non-smoothie) option for WFPB eaters... and it (the raw quesadilla) is delicious. Inside the food hall near Marshalls, it's a place we eat frequently. Love that they have an ingredient book handy to assist with any dietary restriction questions. Flexible and knowledgeable staff.
Wow! The food was amazing! I went 5 times in a row and got something different every time and it was all great. The BBQ Jackfruit was insane. Phyllis Cheese Stake, WOW!. The Warm Neatball Hero was great! Buffalo Artichoke and the Southern Baked Artichokin' and Waffle knocked me off my feet. They also have a Kombucha Float that was undeniably my happy ending. The service was also very good. I wish them the absolute best. If you're in Miami definitely Check them out. Thank you PLANT THEORY!!!
I’ve been vegan for about 5 years now and I can honestly say Plant Theory has the best vegan burgers that I’ve ever had. I was was in Miami for 3 days and ate here twice. I was greeted by an older woman who was very nice and made sure to use my name when speaking to me which was a nice touch.
Great location near beach and outdoor seating available. Staff wore cool vegan awareness hats and shirts (my fav read "retired carnivore" lol)! I had the guava bbq jackfruit burger and salad! The food was colorful and flavorful! I wish I could have tried more items on the menu, but I'll definitely be back!
One of the best vegan places where I’ve ever tried food! I don’t remember the name of the burger I’ve ordered but it was ✨aMaZiNg✨. So many different flavors in one dish. I enjoyed my lunch here. Highly recommend this place!
Second time I've been here, it's so yummy. I had the guava bbq jackfruit sandwich and my boyfriend had the artichoke burger. They were both so delicious and came out pretty quickly. Friendly customer service and nice atmosphere.
This place is amazing!!! It's a little interesting because it's located in the first floor of an art deco historical landmark hotel but let me tell you the quality and flavor of the food if you are vegan, gluten-free, 100% organic and local sustainable business supporting...there's no other place to go in all of South Beach and probably Miami Metro. I had the jungleberry smoothie, the waffle and missing egg coconut bacon melt. Yes I pigged out but I had an experience of savory, sweet and satisfaction unparalleled. Go eat there!
Loved this place! Was just delish and Kevin from Honduras at the bar was so friendly. The food is superb and even looks very upscale the lunch was very casual. I will return for more cauliflower tots every time I am in Miami for sure.
Amazing place to stop by and have some veggie sandwiches. Must admit i wasn’t expecting such pleasant treatment from the chef, cos they usually they r not use to deal directly with customers. Great incorporation of Sofia to the staff, thanks for your kindness!
This restaurant is a vegan food lover's dream come true! The menu is creative, and the dishes are absolutely delicious. Everything is made from fresh, plant-based ingredients that are ethically sourced. I particularly loved the guava mariah burger. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. I can't wait to come back!
I was blown away by the quality of the food at this vegan restaurant. The flavors were amazing, and the presentation was beautiful. I'm not even vegan, but I couldn't get enough of their dishes. The artichoke burger and the missing egg burger were particularly delicious. I appreciate that they use eco-friendly packaging too. Highly recommend it!
Wow, just wow. I can't believe how delicious the food was! This place blew me away with their unique and flavorful dishes. I especially loved the portobello sub and the mango juice. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. This place is a must-visit for vegans and non-vegans alike. Support local😊
I'm always on the lookout for great vegan food, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The staff is knowledgeable and accommodating, and the menu has so many delicious options. I appreciate the effort they put into making their food healthy and sustainable. I will definitely be returning!
The food was amazing! I love how it tastes so fresh & that it’s both vegan & gluten free. Would definitely recommend to try this place. It’s also in the Lincoln Eatery so there are plenty of options for everyone regardless if they’re vegan or not.
I don't generally eat vegan, but this is also an excellent choice for those with dairy/gluten intolerances. As a celiac with lactose intolerance, the nachos hit the spot - no "real" cheese but tasted just as cheesy as you'd want, and the jackfruit was a great substitute for what I guess would otherwise be carnitas.
The Colombian couple that takes care of the business has gone the extra mile. The service is and kindness of these guys is hard to find in the busy city of Miami. The food they prepare is up to the top standards, and you can fell the love of the preparedness in every single bite. Hats off to this couple and this amazing restaurant.
I'm vegan and visiting the area from Philadelphia. This spot was right around the corner from my hotel, so I decided to give it a try - and I'm so glad I did! The service was attentive, and the meal was excellent. I ordered an artichoke-based sandwich that was the perfect mix of flavorful, healthy, and filling. The cheesecake is also to die for. I'm only in Miami for 4 days, but I'll be coming back to eat here again! The location is so convenient.
The best and healthiest vegan place ever! Just so delicious. I go there every week!!!! The eggless benedict it's the absolute best thing you'll ever eat. Also the BBQ guava is amazing! However the waiter is just so slow. He doesn't seem to care that much!!! The other day we had to wait 30 min for him to just bring us water but hopefully they'll fix this issue soon. Again love love the food!
I can't say enough good things about this place! The food is out of this world and the service is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the jackfruit burger and the taco salad. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
If you like proper plant based and raw food, this is the spot to go! Great for lunch. I got the artichoke club sandwich and it was SO good. The bread 🤤🤤🤤 The little shop is so cute and the man working there was very very sweet. Came in on a Saturday around 2PM. Wish I was staying closer to this spot!
So so so so so so so GOOD! Having recently been trying more and more vegan food, my friend recommended Plant Theory while I was in Miami and oh man, so freaking good!! I've been eating meat my entire life, but this burger was seriously better and we'll, you can't truly compare them, but I think it was better than most I've ever had. The flavor of the Jack Fruit Burger was insane. Like a house, it was built inside out. Starting with the AMAZING BUN. I forget what it was, but that bread was to die for. Everything inside was so flavorful and juicy but not too juicy. Okay. That's all. Go here. Get the jack Fruit Burger or the chicken sandwich burger thing my friend got. Or get anything. Great service, food, and vibes.
I went here last summer and it was hands down the best vegan burger I have ever had. We came back everyday of our trip. The burgers are made of fresh ingredients. We hope to see you back open soon! The artichoke burger and the mushroom burger are my favorites.
The food is absolutely amazing. I try the burger, the one with the name like omelette, and tiramisu and ice cream and banana bread. So delicious that the next times I've ordered the same burger and tiramisu. Definitely my favorite vegan restaurant in Miami Beach.
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I'm not even vegan, but I couldn't get enough of the missing egg. The service was fantastic. Can't wait to come back!!
The food was great and actually seasoned well which is rare to get in a vegan place. The person working on day I was there who may have been owner or manager was extremely helpful and great to talk to about food and more. Just a very good experience; ordered multiple dishes and ate every single one of them.
Of the vegan places I tried in Miami Beach, this one is my favorite hands-down. Not only is the cuisine absolutely fabulous and savory, but it’s creative and beautifully presented. I don’t think you could make a bad choice at this restaurant. Heads up is that if you are expecting a sit down and dining experience, that is possible but will be better to do it out on the balcony because the actual restaurant is inside of a hotel and it has more of a hotel lobby experience than it does a restaurant experience if you want to sit inside. It doesn’t really matter where you sit because once you put the food in your mouth, you won’t care where you are.
speaking from a non-vegetarian, I can tell that the food was delicious surprisingly for me. The customer service was incredible, I was attended by Sofia who really shows interest in helping you if you need something, as I had trouble choosing what to eat from the position of a non-vegetarian. Special thanks to her!
Literally one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had. While the server most likely forgot about us, it took 50 minutes to get our food, it was completely worth it in the end with the burgers being beyond amazing. The next time we went, we received better attention and the burgers we tried then were great as well. Definitely give this place a try if I’m the area, it has an extensive menu with new products constantly!
Arrived in Miami late this morning. Uber to South Beach to drop bags in a storage locker. Workout at Muscle Beach. Rinse off in the ocean. Beach shower. Search for vegan food. This is what I found. 😍 I followed the host’s recommendations and was not disappointed. A vegan coconut ice cream kombucha float to start! Like whaaaaat?!!! 😍😍 For the grub I went with the “Southern Baked Artichik’n Burger”. I paired this with the Hemplade anddddd 🤤🔥😍 For dessert, it was the “Rawesome Cheesecake” and it was just perfect. Great food. Great space. Great service. Great experience. I’ll definitely be back to try the Guava BBQ Jackfruit Burger 🤪
The Jackfruit Burger is amazing, same with that Philly cheesesteak and wow just try the nachos! I seriously wish that I had a second stomach so that I could continue eating this food for longer than my original stomach will allow! If you don't see a server anywhere just ask the guy at the front desk or any of the hotel staff and they'll radio for one to come meet you right away! They also have kombucha on tap, crisp and sweet , on top of all that their smoothies are pretty great too!
😋😍 Volvería siempre a Plant Theory. Excelente atención.!
Plant theory is a nice little place inside the Whitelaw hotel. Not a whole lot of seating for a large party but its not usually packed. It's in a nice location and considering the area, priced just fine. We had the nachos which were good but could have used more cheese or beans to round out the flavor. The artichikn burger is pretty good as well but the tanginess of the artichoke needed something to make it more savory. Lastly we also had the portabello burger which was my personal favorite. All in all everything was pretty good but our food and all the other guests' were slow to come out, I'd estimate about half an hour between ordering and when the food arrived.
Great food. Chill vibes. I loved the outdoor side patio which is cool to sit and people watch. The food was delicious!! Raw cheesecake is a must have. Food is made fresh, which could explain the longer-ish wait but the food is so worth it! Oshura, the chef, was so kind and attentive. Looking forward to coming back 💚
Our server was Fabi and she was so friendly and kind! The food was amazing! We had burgers with salads and 1 juice and 1 smoothie and we loved it all. A little weird that everything was served in compostable and plastic (recyclable) containers. Was expecting a glass for our drinks and plates and our food, but perhaps it's a really small kitchen with a small dishwasher so this is fastest? It was still easy to eat out of though :) That's the only reason I'm giving this review only 4 stars. Again, the food was so frickin good, and that server was so sweet! Will definitely be back to try out their breakfast/brunch next time.
Good outdoor vegan restaurant with lots of refreshing drink options. Go in the mood for a sandwich or nachos, because that's the only food options they have (although the sandwiches we had were delicious!). They sell local kombucha and have only delicious gluten free bread. Wish I could give 5 stars but the service was marginal.
The food was amazing, I tried the bbq burger and I totally loved it. The service was also great, the girl that took my order was super nice and gentile! The only thing I didn't like was that they give me plastic utensils, which ruined a little bit the vegan/clean/conscious experience.
Great location and cool vibe. The decorations are intricate and the menu has LOTS of vegan options. This is the kind place that you might visit with a bunch of friends to try many dishes and share them. We tried the black bean plantain empanadas and the mushroom cheese steak. It was light and filling. Sandwiches are often quite heavy, but eating this food felt healthy. I ordered hot sauce, but it was like mild/sweet taco sauce. I would have liked a bit more kick. I LOVED the biodegradable containers! Well done!!!
Food was good. Not exceptional but creative and better than much of the food options in Miami. The service was fine. The seating is weird. In a lobby of a hotel or outside. Last time I went there I tried sitting at the bar but someone from the hotel was yelling at the bartender regarding a spill, which was awkward. I moved to outside and halfway through my meal 2 hotel guests came out to smoke within feet of me. Kinda gross. I will opt for the outside seating in the alley way next time. I would recommend and go back though.
Good vegan option. I ordered the Don't Worry be Crabby Po'Boy Burger and I'm honestly not sure if that's what I was given. It didn't taste like any sort of vegan crab or po'boy and the bun was cinnamon raisin (?), I've been pretty confused about what I ate but all I know and need to know is that it was vegan ultimately. Aside from not really knowing what it was it did taste good for the most part, the bun being kind of odd but it was a good portion size. My husband's Phyliss Cheezesteak Roll was good! We also tried a jackfruit and cashew cheeze empanada which was good, it tastes close to a crab cake or what I would have expected the burger to be like. I'd go again if in the area but not being sure what the meal I received was, is a little off putting.
The food was flavorful and delicious; however, the portion size wasn't sufficient, leaving us feeling less than full. Nonetheless, the tasty food and good service were noteworthy
Apparently I came here 5 years ago but I couldn't recall what I got or how it was so I decided to try it again. I got the nachos and it was pretty mediocre. I love a homemade cashew cream so I liked that drizzle on top and wish there was more! The avocado was fresh. Otherwise, it was a bit disappointing. My first complaint are the chips which are the cheap bag kind so they're just not very good. The jackfruit is shredded nicely but it's straight from the can and completely unseasoned so the nachos overall don't have much flavor except the some drops of sauce. Not much jackfruit either and none on the top layer. Lots of chips but not much for toppings and lacking in flavor. Could definitely improve these nachos. I pay $16-20 for vegan nachos in NY and it's worth it but this one is not.
Oh how I wish I could give 5 stars for food and drinks alone but that’s not how this works. I’m only giving 3 stars so maybe the manager or someone will do something about the atrocious service that many other reviewers have complain about. I will give 5 stars and remove this review once I go back and the service doesn’t make me want to leave like I almost did. Worst service of my whole entire I can’t believe it. Waited 40 minutes for our drinks way after the food came and I only got the drinks after asking about them maybe 5 times. Had to ask three different people that worked there what time brunch ended and somehow no one knew. One of the waitresses spoke zero English so we had to constantly ask her to ask someone else. It was the most unrelaxing meal of my life having to chase after questions and drinks. Also I’m so confused of why they brought over straws for to go cups that couldn’t even fit straws. What on earth is the logic I’m so confused. We asked for the check maybe 5 times and waited for a million years to check to finally come after being asked if we were alright and having to remind the women once again to bring the check. It was just such an unpleasant experience. We shouldn’t have to work to get what we want, especially when there was only two other tables... The food was absolutely incredible though and if you have the patience to deal with stress, then I’d recommend going if you have the tolerance. I normally will not go back to a place with service like this, but I will go back to the food since it was just that good. Definitely in the top best vegan places I’ve eaten at. I normally wouldn’t write a review like this but come on? Why is this the most clueless restaurant I’ve ever been to.
It is a gluten- free, vegan restaurant. We ate one waffle and one crepe. We waited 45 min until it came and they forgot the waffle... waiting again. We drank two smoothies, where they forgot the protein powder, but on the bill it was calculated of course. It was tasty but 48 $ for that is too much!!!
Decent food. They mask a lot of the flavors with their cashew “crema”, it’s more like ranch consistency. Okay service, maybe they were having a bad day. The nacho chips are store bought, at this price point I was hoping for house made.
I really wanted to love it but unfortunately I did not. I have tried most vegan places in Miami Beach over the last couple of years but this was my first time at Plant Theory. The location is kinda gross. Its like a food mall but not very nice. Limited choices for drinks and such. The BBQ sandwich tasted like it was on a Cinnamon bun. Way to sweet and did not go well together. The food does come across as very healthy though and that is hard to find. I might go back again with lower expectations but I was disappointed this trip.
I ate here twice during my stay in Miami Beach. I wanted so much to like it so I gave them two chances. I'll start with the good: The menu is descriptive, well organized and original. The food is good and the staff is cheerful and pleasant. Cons: ordering is a bit challenging for newbies since is is a POS system and you are entering your own order. Orders take FOREVER so don't go here if you don't have 2 hours to kill (seriously, I waited over an hour for my food). If you get any kind of sauce or dressing it comes in a 2 tbsp size teeny plastic cup so basically enough for two bites and the rest of your salad or chips will be dry.
Service was slow. Food was expensive for what you received. Nachos lacked toppings. Some jackfruit are the bottom but mostly some creamy sauce. I had the twisted Reuben, my husband the jackfruit burger. The Reuben was tasteless. No sauerkraut to be found. The utensils are plastic! For a vegan restaurant to serve food with plastic is something I’ve never experienced. My husband couldn’t even cut his cucumber with it. Bent the plastic knife. I have them 2 stars because the staff were nice the food was mediocre at best. Definitely not the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been too.
The atmosphere is what you would expect in a food court. The food was quite a disappointment - the bread in the toast was simultaneously dry and soggy (and they don't even use proper bread, but those square sliced stuff you find in supermarkets), the other dish (I think it was empanada) was a very weird combination of flavors that didn't go well together and didn't seem to add up. Given the quality and quantity of the food, I'd consider it overpriced. Better off getting vegan options in the non-vegan place across from it (that's what I ended up having)
This eatery is completely vegan with a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and even a few desserts. The item descriptions are creative and very enticing. I could have eaten at any place in this “food court” but I chose this place based on their enticing item descriptions. Sadly, however, the food was nowhere near as tasty as the description suggested. I’m mostly vegetarian so I’m used to making tasty vegetarian meals. We frequently make veggies burgers at home without cheese or any dairy products so the end result is a vegan burger. Our homemade burgers are popping with flavor and aromas. They’re so delicious, they easily hold their own against any meat-based competitor. The burger itself was made with whole wheat and other healthy ingredients and was nice and toasty. That’s the best thing I can say about my meal. The “patty” was cold and mostly tasteless and lacked any delicious aromas. Thus, this eatery is guilty of promoting the idea that vegan food is tasteless and has no delicious aromas whatsoever. I recommend that the chef here watch the many YouTube channels where vegan chefs cook up really superb meals. I asked for a side of hot sauce to go with my meal to spice it up. I was given a tiny little plastic cup half full of hot sauce. You clearly don’t want your customers to have a delicious meal. Can you not at least fill up that microscopic plastic cup with hot sauce?!
Wasn't going to leave a review, as I felt like our experience was a one-off, but the owners snarky comment on a previous review motivated me. My boyfriend, who is also vegan, and I decided to try this place out, but because it was raining that day we were told to sit anywhere in the hotels lobby instead. There were fruit flies EVERYWHERE, the couches were dirty (as were the menus), the decor was also weird and tacky, but whatever, no big deal. The server was very polite, but the food was very average. The most off-putting part was actually watching our food come out of the dark basement, and then seeing a lady scratching away at her hair net down there. Of course, she ended up being a cook...kind of gross, though she was polite as well. Would not return, but maybe dining outside would be a fine experience for others.
First off, I will say that I am vegan and don't like giving a vegan restaurant a bad rating. But this was a weird mess. The place itself is located inside and adjacent to a hotel, which is okay. The server was polite, and quick. However, with the burgers, the only side options are a side salad or tortilla chips (no salsa - really?). However, I asked for a side salad and was given tortilla chips... as I don't like to waste food, I just went ahead and ate most of the tortilla chips (again, without salsa or anything at all... just, chips). The burger itself (egg and bacon burger) was OK. The odd bun had a round, designed hole in the middle in both the top and bottom buns, so the tofu egg scramble basically fell right through the holes onto my plate, so I had to sort of eat those with a fork and my sad tortilla chips (ugh... re-think this please). There was literally 1 tiny dab of vegan mayo, around the hole in the middle of my upper bun. 1 dab. Enough to fit on my fingertip. Lol. Thanks for that. The only thing that brought this place from 1 star to 2 stars was the polite server, the food itself was edible (but we were both starving after leaving), and the hotel was pretty. Visiting Miami after disembarking from a cruise, I was sad to choose this restaurant as the vegan option here in the city, as I am sure there are much better ones to choose from.
PSA: THIS PLACE IS NOT GLUTEN FREE I ate here with my friend who has celiac desease. We chose this place because they said their food is gluten free and my friend is throwing up for hours after eating it. It’s the only thing he ate all day and is suffering because of this food. If you have celiac desease, do not eat here.
SENT US STRAIGHT TO EMERGENCY ROOM. We ordered gluten free Maria Burger, Mushroom Arepa and Mango juice. I guess it wasn't gluten / wheat free after all. I'm writing this from the Baptist Health Urgent Care, good review for the doctors. AVOID AT ALL COST.
