After a crazy day of travel and little food for ten hours, I finally had time to eat. I had a two hour window for my connecting flight so I perused the menus near Gate D23 and chose Spring Chicken for sustenance. I’m SO happy that I did because the staff was amazing. They were slammed with customers but acknowledged those of us waiting with a smile. Once seated, I waited less than four minutes for my order to be taken. It seemed like hardly any time passed when my absolutely delicious Protein Power Bowl Salad was presented. I must admit that I wasn’t expecting much from an airport salad so I was pleasantly surprised! So much so that I jotted a little message and gave the note to Stephanie. I don’t normally write reviews but this delightful experience on a stressful day earned it. Thank you Spring Chicken staff!
I had a work trip and stopped at Spring Chicken before my flight. I had an amazing experience the bartender Yailin. She was so nice and welcoming. She provide great food and drink suggestions. The chicken is delicious and the carrot cake with expresso martini I had for dessert were phenomenal.
Yailin was our waitress and she is awesome! We have a long layover and wanted to have some cocktails. Yailin, greeted us immediately with her friendly and warm personality. Needless to say, we will be back here on our return trip to visit Yailin again. Thank you Yailin for making our layover fun 🤩! Cheers
Loved the vibe here—super chill and inviting. The protein power bowl was so good, and the carrot cake was next-level. Big shoutout to Giselle for being so friendly and on point with service.
I had a quick bite there on a Sunday and ordered tenders and a Bloody Mary. Tenders were nicely (lightly) breaded, fresh, hot and delicious. Potato wedges were good although I don’t eat a ton of potato. The Bloody Mary was well garnished and spicy. Perfect. The service was kind, quick and pleasant. Her name was Rocio and she was just so accommodating and sweet.
My friends had biscuits which they enjoyed. I had a lovely passionfruit basil lemonade.
Wonderful service and food is amazing. It is NOT airport food. It’s fresh!! They have charger ports at the bar also!
Alycia took great care of us from the time we arrived at the entrance. She quickly accommodated our party of 6. Service was super prompt and friendly service. Giselle the bartender made THE BEST Old Fashions for the table. Our new favorite in MIA!

I had a long layover and Giselle made it enjoyable. She was attentive! Positive and attentive! I watched her interact with each customer with such kindness and truly caring attitude. Will make it a point to visit my next stop in Miami!!!

Giselle took care of us with such care that you could tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. This is so rare and we’re grateful to have met her on our way passing through. Chicken and wedge fries were great with delicious sauces. 10/10 recommend.
We had a layover after coming in from a long international flight. We were looking for a good spot to sit, eat, and hang out to pass the time. We walked by Spring Chicken and were drawn in by the menu and the vibes. Danilo welcomed us warmly and did a great job serving us and making sure we had everything we needed. Next time we’re at MIA, we’ll definitely be back! Food was really good and fast. Beer and liquor selection is great too. Pretty cool bar with TVs.
Danilo, our waiter was wonderful! Quick, attentive, and friendly. We stopped by for a morning pre-flight Bloody Mary. They were awesome! The perfect start to our down Island beach vacation. 🥰
Great staff! The environment is friendly and everyone has great energy. Come stop by when you’re at the airport! Giselle is the best bartender you’ll meet.
Marie, my waitress and server was a delight. If you’re stressed she brings peace, if you bring peace it will be multiplied. Everyone on of the staff that I engage made this time so much more than a meal. If you’re anywhere close to the Miami Airport Gate 21 you’re missing out if you don’t check Spring Chicken out. Love you Marie, God bless you and both your family and the Spring Chicken fam.
Sets the highest standard for airport food. Cobb salad was so fresh and delicious. Potato wedges and crispy chicken tenders were pretty good! Also, the Southern Revival was tasty :)
Perfect location in the airport after a long and difficult experience arriving into the airport after debarking a cruise. Right near the entrance from TSA and accommodated my family of 5 with bags and a little one. We sat comfortably, ate GREAT food and drinks, and were served in a timely, kind and professional manner by Danilo! Thank you for hosting us and giving us a little time to relax before walking to our gate. If we are ever back at MIA Terminal D, we wouldn’t hesitate to return!
While waiting for our flight we had a great time at breakfast. Food was delicious and the best part was the drinks. Thanks to everyone that made it possible and specially yailin our server. Thanks
Great team, great food, definitely come here if you have time at the airport.
Had a great experience at Spring Chicken in MIA! Alycia took amazing care of us—super friendly and attentive. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the sauce was seriously next level. Perfect spot for a quick, tasty meal before your flight. Highly recommend!
Dee & Stephanie were great, they recommended the burger and gave us good conversation while we were here. I will come back everytime i come to the Miami airport.
Great spot for a for a quick bite or just drinks! I Went straight to the bar where Giselle took care of me. She was AWESOME and quick to offer me suggestions on drinks. I ended up with the tastiest passion fruit margarita! Def will stop by on my next layover at MIA!
I travel tons and always have to eat at the airport. Not too many place in airport has a good food. Spring Chicken had a great food, great selection of bourbon and service was excellent. I sat at the bar and bar tender Giselle was awesome. If you are at MIA airport and at Terminal D, I recommend you go there.
ALL servers were wonderful. Quick service and yummy food…wonderful airport experience.
I travel quite a lot and this is where I always get my breakfast and to go lunch. Food is fresh, service is superb and now they offer Lavazza coffee! Always consistent.
Initially sat down bc it was early and the bar was open. Then I realized it’s linked to yardbird. Many flavor mimosas to choose from. Passionfruit and white peach flavors had the pure purée which I love. Both mimosas were good. About $15 each which is expected for the airport. I liked that the mimosas came with a side of champagne for you to decide if you want to add more or even drink the champagne alone. Breakfast sandwich was small but filling to me and price isn’t insane so no complaints. Anyways, all prices are typically inflated at the airport. 18% gratuity is automatically applied. Service was ok. A little slow but I also was there early morning and wasn’t many customers to decide if service was as bad as other reviews noted. The biscuit was also good. Chicken was fresh & hot and seasoned. Tator tots also hot & fresh.
Quick service and hot, tasty food! Alycia was so helpful and ensured that our meal was speedy so that we could eat and catch our flight in time.
Really really great… everything prepared so good… This will be my go to restaurant whenever Im at Mia airport
Danilo was outstanding! Super friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. He greeted me with a smile, was quick with the service, and made sure my order was perfect. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had at the airport. Give that man a raise! 🙌
Giselle is "Amaaaazing"!!! As a regular, she definitely repetitively demonstrates "5+ Stars, 🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟 with visit. She provided superb professional courtesy, very knowledgeable, and efficient.
Great stop before heading on the flight. Yailin was so attentive and sweet. I’d come back knowing Yailin will be there. Food was delicious and drinks were great,
Laura was AWESOME! I have to say best food I’ve had at the airport! Fantastic service! Salad was fresh and tasted amazing! Beer was ICE cold! Great experience! If you have time be sure to stop by and see Laura at the Spring Chicken! You won’t regret it!😎
I usually don’t post reviews, but had to leave one here because I was pleasantly surprised. The food was so fresh: I got the protein bowl to go and glad I got the fried chicken. Hispaña, the cashier, was so kind and friendly and made sure I got my food quickly. I asked her if she liked one chicken style over the other. The food was also affordable. I come from Washington DC where a salad of this kind is $20, so I’m glad it wasn’t more than that.
We loved Yailin! She was so helpful with every question we had for her. Excellent bartender!
Both Donillo and Marie were very helpful and kept checking back with us. Great service and food!!!
Marie Avril was our server and she was amazing. She went above and beyond what we expected. Friendly sweet and very informative.
I’ve been a regular for 3 years. Giselle, Laura and team are the best. Always treated like family!!!
Rocio was fantastic! Gave me all the sauces I asked for. Great chicken, great wedges. Place to stop if you’ve got time to kill before your Flight.
Giselle is the best bartender, she takes her time answering questions and made sure I wasn’t late for my flight m!
The decor is absolutely stunning and our server was Rocio and she was amazing! Next time we are in the Miami airport, we will be back
Great service from Giselle. Drinks good, she turned on the game I asked for. Very attentive. Friendly. Bilingual.
Yailin is the best!! She’s a great server and bartender, and she helped me to choose the best lunch!!
Our waitress Marie was wonderful!!!! The food was fantastic and we had a very relaxing start to our vacation
Showed up very early for my flight, so stopped by for dinner. had a fried chicken sandwich and a cocktail. Giselle makes a great Old Fashioned! Great food, great service!
Long day of travel. Sit down and ate here. Really good. Breakfast burrito very tasty, fresh. The chicken tenders super tasty. Probably one of the better airport breakfasts we’ve had.
Laura J was a sweetheart. Wonderful service and very welcoming. The chicken tender meal was surprisingly delightful. Food was Delivered promptly, zero complaints. 🏆
If I did not have to buy an airline ticket, I would dine here every night!!!! The food is always cooked perfectly, to order, and tastes delicious. But the food is second in its exceptional nature to the service. I am at MIA airport at least once a month and, even if I am only moderately hungry, I come here to see Laura. Hands down the best in customer service at any establishment - in MIA or otherwise. Out of the millions of travelers she sees every day, she remembers me and my teammates, our orders and is respectfully of our time to take off. Fast, friendly, remarkable service cannot be beat! Thank you for a home cooked meal and friendly faces when away from home! The management staff is great too - supportive, communicative, professional and keeps the busy Spring Chicken running like clockwork. Kudos and thank you from your biggest LA fan.
Have to fly through Miami a lot, and so I always stop by for a quick meal and drink before my flights. Giselle and the rest of the team are great. Recommend the Cobb salad or the Burger. Also for sports fans they’ll be happy to play your team if available at the bar.
Marie Avril was our server and took great pleasure in taking care of me, my husband, and our friends. This was the first time visiting this location and would definitely return. Marie made our experience amazing. Thank you for taking pleasure in displaying great customer service toward us. The chicken strips and wedges definitely met our taste bud eexpectations. Marie is definitely a great asset to Spring Chicken.
Giselle was an awesome server. Went out of her way and gave extra friendly service to make my night. High recommend beveraging here.
We were stuck at Miami airport and tried out Spring Chicken. It was the best chicken sandwich I've had in years! And the staff is great, too!
Was shocked at how good the food is. Honestly, one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had, and in an airport no less! Expectations were low and pleasantly surprised

Surprisingly good chicken. OK potato wedges. Pretty bad/tasteless cole slaw. Very friendly staff. Seating at our gate was packed and we sat at Spring Chicken. But to sit, you must order, so we did. After we finished, they let us stay. The chicken came with a unique dill flavored ranch sauce. Very unique. Airport noise level was high.
I would recommend based off the breakfast burrito I had. It is a normal airport restaurant, meaning smaller portions, but what I had was very delicious. Service (Rosie) was extremely prompt, friendly, and welcoming. Again if you are looking for breakfast in concourse D MIA then I would recommend.
Had a great little lunch here. Bartender served up a blackberry bourbon lemonade that was just what I needed. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the wedge fries. It’s the airport so I’m not complaining about prices, they are in line for an airport. It was a slow time for the establishment, but service was great, and food came out quick. This is my second time this year eating here.

Food was pretty good. I just wish they had chicken or turkey sausage. The food was not piping hot coming out but warm enough to satisfy me. Make sure you ask for the pepper jelly! Nice mix of sweet and spicy! Service from server, Danilo, was great. Also when you are done eating you can pay at the table using the QR code then be on your way! This spot is a good affordable option when it comes to budget friendly option at the MIA airport.
It’s Miami airport… for me just the mention of this airport makes me roll my eyes. On my latest layover as my gate was switched for the 2nd time while hiking to it, (typical MIA crap) we passed by Spring Chicken. I had it once before and decided to pick up something before my flight home. I went with a simple order of tenders and wedges. Is it overpriced? Yes! Is the service slow? Oh Yes! Is the food basic? Also Yes! Is it worth it? Now, that’s debatable and subject to perspective and preference. However, with lowered expectation and limited options as they play ping-pong with our gate location, Spring Chicken held us over as we headed home. Just A Note: Make sure you have ample time to place your order, wait for your food and make it to your gate. While the gentleman was pleasant no one here seemed to move with any sense of urgency.
First time having food here. The service is mediocre. Staff is uninterested and take long to take your order. I waited about 5 minutes before a waitress came by. One in particular yelled to another staffer, "im busy myself." I'm not sure what that was about. The menu doesn't say you can not add to your order, so you basically order it exactly, or you dont eat. Even lettuce and tomatoes are a no-no on the options. From the time you order to the time it comes to the table, it's approximately 5 minutes. The food was seasoned well. Portion was good.

Waiting for our connecting flight at the Miami Intl Airport we stopped at Spring Chicken for a quick breakfast. We ordered the chicken biscuit, breakfast biscuit and some chicken strips. Our waitress was ok, not real personable. However I wish I had read some reviews prior to stopping. We had an hour before our flight and by the time our food came out, our flight was beginning to board. Then it took several attempts to get our check. So the only reason I gave them a 3 was the food tasted good, but very poor service killed our experience.
Basic airport spot. Food was ok, wife had to aend her eggs back because they were way overcooked. Service was horrible. We were there for about 15 minutes before anyone waited on us. Any interaction we had generally involved waiting. Price was about expected for being stuck in an airport. Be aware, they automatically add 18% to the bill regardless of service.
Overpriced food even for an airport. About 20 bucks for a 5 piece combo. Fries decent, but tenders not seasoned or crispy.

Nashville hot wasn’t done proper at all. Hot sauce provided was cold. Bun wasn’t toasted. Tomato was terrible, despite being in season. Burger patties were cheap and under seasoned. Sides are very expensive. No salt or pepper at the tables. The ketchup provided is very bad. Use Heinz! Fast service. Friendly server.
$75 for two people for a salad, chicken wrap and one glass of bad wine. the salad was very plain and the ingredients tasted like nothing. automatically added a 18% tip. no questions asked. we are pretty disappointed as we wanted something nice to enjoy while our flight was 2 hours delayed. :(
My chicken was under cooked, and when we told the waitress we overheard the manager saying it wasn’t. The waitress than proceeded to let us know it wasn’t under cooked and that how they cook it. I wasn’t able to take more photos because she quickly took it away as I started to snap shots. But one the food came out cooked properly it was tasty.
Pretty inconvenient for airport food. I waited 15 minutes for my food with a line of maybe three people in front of me. I paid $20 for a chicken sandwich alone without a drink or anything and finished the whole thing in a few bites. Pretty disappointed hope the experience is better for others.
I did not have a lot of time between flights and wanted to grab something quick. Nashville Hot Chicken is a go to for me, so I figured I would stop. Go it to go so I could eat it at my gate. Waited close to 10 minutes for my food, so I was hoping it was at least fresh, but was disappointed. Bun was soggy, coleslaw was probably so cold, it made the chicken cold. All you could taste was coleslaw. There was some after burn, so I guess there was some spice in there somewhere, which is the only reason I gave it a 2, instead of a 1. I would skip this place, but to be fair to the other reviews, maybe if you sit down and eat it’s better, but I did not have time for that.
I know airport food is always overpriced, but this is ridiculous. $21 for 4 chicken strips and a "side" of bacon. I asked for bacon instead of fries because I'm keto. Still paid the full price plus to "add" bacon. See that little condiment cup in the picture? Yup. That's the $4.00 "side" of bacon. I don't think there's even a full slice in there. Expected to get a couple slices at least for $4! Gave 2 stars because the chicken strips were decent but certainly not worth $17.00.

Food ok, ambience ok, service not friendly. Food: OK. I had a salad and fried chicken, which were well prepared and nicely seasoned. Ambience: Nice. Spacious tables and a good vibe, with pleasant background music. Service: Not friendly. While I was still eating — and had just started, actually — the waitress dropped the check on my table. None of the other tables received their bills at that time. I didn’t pay immediately, and about five minutes later she came back and told me I needed to pay because she was leaving. I understood that this might be how their service works — the server needs to close out the check before leaving, even if the customer stays. Still, I found it "interesting" that this happened only to me and not to the North American customers around me. And now, many minutes were gone and she is still serving other tables. What do you call that?
I do not know how those servers still have a job. Every take they were serving had a bad experience with them you could tell in people’s faces and growing impatience. Also they have on your receipt “suggested 18%” but it’s already integrated gratuity into the bill is ridiculous. They still have the audacity to ask for more tip when I almost near served myself because they didn’t do anything. Multiple of the tables had receipt disputes of items they got charged for and they never asked for. The number of people while I was sitting there waiting for my food which was like 40 minutes that had to stand up and go up to the server because they never checked on the tables. Those 2 people serving should not be at the front they should either be cooking, bussing tables, or other non customer facing interactions. Tenders did taste good but they were so thin.
Wow..... This place should be ashamed of themselves. My traveling partner and I each got a chicken club - tasted fine but it was a very small, insufficient chicken sandwich, lettuce was wilted, almost no tomato or pickles, no sauce, no fries or anything for $16.99 each. Then they added 18% gratuity. Total for the bill was almost $43. I know this is an airport (Miami) and things always cost more, but that is ridiculous! After the fact - We noted a few gates down one could get a decent looking burger and fries for about $19 that was clearly more value for the money.
Really, really BAD. 🥲 I decided to blow my calorie count out the window this am & it just didn’t happen. Not because I didn’t order egregiously high-calorie laden food, but, it was inedible. Unfortunately, the sausage in this biscuit looked pre-cooked (it was), looked 3 days old (could’ve been) & the biscuit was indeed stale & dry (yesterday?)…I took 3 bites of egg (starving), 2 of sausage w biscuit, and threw the rest in garbage. I wanted to give a new place a try as Starbucks is my usual “go to.” The coffee was ok but the blueberry muffin was also stale & near inedible as well. Big waste of money but it could’ve been great & I am an optimist! No luck today… the worst part if the experience, however, is the lid didn’t fit on coffee & I almost spilled it twice, once on my duffel bag. Lastly, when I sat at the barstool counter I saw the server give me a mean look & realized I was sitting in “dine in only” (the entire restaurant seating is designated as such.)🥹 Well, no worries, throwing out the biscuit took 1 min. (Let’s give paying customers the stools, let’s not be stingy 😂). Definitely won’t go there again!!! 👎👎👎

Girl at To-go counter is rude and I couldn't understand a word she said. She could have easily explained where I needed to order to dine in, instead she gave me attitude and got rude. Chicken was not crunchy, Coke was not cold, chicken portions were small and should be called tiny tenders. I was really disappointed. Will never come back.

the absolute worst restaurant in the airport. Lack of leadership & no accountability. I paid almost $30 for a sandwich & fries I sat down to eat & they ignored me because they said I originally requested my food to go. I tried to get the server attention for napkins she turned her back to me. I requested to speak to a manager and she said it’s because my food is to go. are you kidding me? so just ignore me?! she would probably be the reason this place lack leadership because I have never been to a restaurant where they ignore customers because their order is a to go order.
Absolute rip off. This companies prices are not on the menu and charged $30 a glass for Cabernet Sauvignon from Joel Gott which I know for a fact costs way less for a bottle. Came out super warm which my wife complained and The Rose I ordered was $27 with no listing on the menu. So yeah I got ripped off and the Manager Luis said I’m sorry that’s the companies prices without transparency and there is nothing I can do. Don’t eat or drink here BEWARE!
We went to eat there while waiting for our flight and when we were done eating we payed and left. Two days later they charge us again the same amount (we there fore payed twice). We tried contacting them but there is no phone number or email adress. This is unacceptable!
Waited more than 15 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches (a couple of tenders on a bun) and a salad. The sandwiches were, hope you are sitting down, over $15 per for JUST the sandwich (no fries). Nathan's and Wendy's were just down the concourse. Could have got the same sandwich and fries. Save your money and go somewhere else. Overpriced food with terrible service. Only way they are still in business is because limited choices in airport.
The spicy “chicken sandwich” is not a single filet, but is pieces of old cut up reheated chicken tenders shoved in between bread. They were falling out of the sandwich constantly. And it’s not spicy at all.
Do NOT eat here! I tried their signature fried chicken breast filet twice, and it was flavorless the first time and half cooked the second time. I will not return, because it’s not worth being disappointed or getting sick. The price point is high and the quality is not at all comparable. I am a fan of Yardbird, which is owned by the same restaurant group as Spring Chicken, however, the food is not of the same standard. Save your money and your stomach. You don’t want to end up buying another meal (from another establishment of course) and having less time to enjoy it🙄, or worse, losing your appetite altogether. As you can see from the pictures, I took one bite and then opened the sandwich to find that the filet was undercooked. When I asked the bartender about it she said “That’s how they cook it.” 🤢
Stopped in for breakfast. Place was busy and even though there were several employees only one seemed to care about working. Our food took a long time to come out and when it finally did it was missing items. Since no one came to check on us, oh well, guess we're out of luck. Asked for a glass of water from one of the lazy girls behind the counter and she couldn't have looked more annoyed. Didn't even say anything when I thanked her. Took forever to get our check and since we had to leave to get to our gate we just paid and got the heck out. Stay away. Not worth the annoyance.
The food is not all that. I ordered a chicken sandwich with pickles, wedge fries and a juice for take out and it was $29!!! Save your money and go to wendys or nathan. They charge you $15 for a small nasty sandwich and burnt wedges $6 and a juice 4.99. They are just ripping people off at this point.
Chicken tenders and seasoned fries were not hot. Seemed undercooked. Had to wait five minutes to order even though no one was waiting in front of me, no cashier was present. Will all the choices in the airport pretty much anywhere seems better. No one in line waiting should have been an indication. Very disappointing.
The most abysmal chicken biscuit I've ever eaten. It was so small I thought we managed to order a kids meal on accident. And for $15 each?? Plus 4$ for a tiny black coffee?? Total scam.
We were a little early to the airport and decided to get breakfast The Spring Chicken seemed like a good spot. Our server did an excellent job serving and checking on us. My food arrived and my biscuit was so dry and hard...I removed it from my sandwich. My fries were good and my fresh-squeezed orange juice was great...When the bill came it was 70 dollars! Yes 70 dollars my biscuit was dry and hard and so was my wife's...way over priced go somewhere else...
This has to be the most overpriced restaurant in MIA. The food was also terrible. The $17 chicken sandwich with two little chucken tenders had no fries with it. The sandwhich was smaller than the basic chicken sandwhich at chikfila. To add a small side of fries it cost an additional almost $7 dollars. Avoid this place like the plague unless you like throwing money away and hate to eat food. There are so many better restaurants with better prices in MIA.
Their definition of a chicken salad wrap - super thin layer of mayo with a layer of lettuce and 10 layers of the wrap. Add to that 15 minutes of wait and a cashier who does not speak English. Have they forgotten that in this mess of flights, trains and buses, a halfway decent meal is the least travelers deserve?
