Opiniones de Sushi Lucy Miami
I came for the first time for dinner on Sunday and it was the best vibe. Nice music and the food was freshly prepared. They have the most delicious tuna and salmon crispy rice!! all of the food that came out on the boats was delicious plus i had the best service with my server Anabella! cant wait to come back
We had a great experience! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and everything we tried was delicious. We went on a Saturday night and were seated quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a fun and unique way to try different rolls as they came around. Highly recommend!
Cute little sushi restaurant with boats that float past you on a small waterway. I came here for the first time for lunch with my sons. We had a lot of great sushi plates! One of my sons had the miso soup. I had a glass of wine. My other son had a Ramune. The sushi was very fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed it. The bill was about $100 for the three of us. Not bad for such a quality restaurant. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who loves sushi.
Sushi Lucy in North Miami exceeded our expectations! The freshness of the sushi was unparalleled, and the tranquil atmosphere made it a delightful experience, even with kids. Some of our favs were the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl and the delicious Spicy Crispy Tuna 🍣 😋 So yummy! The innovative concept of sushi boats delivering to your table added a fun element to our meal. The service was exceptional, making our culinary experience truly enjoyable. A big thank you to Sushi Lucy for a delicious and memorable dining experience! Highly recommended.
Do you want to try a different dinning experience? Then you have to try out Sushi Lucy. So, have you heard of water kaiten? Well, water kaiten consists of sushi boat moving along through a trough filled with water. You can pick the sushi plates off the boats as the come around or you can order off the menu. If you pick the plates, note that they charge you by the different color plates. The sushi was very fresh and was delicious. You could really over do it if you're not careful... Have fun and enjoy the food and atmosphere.
Sushi Lucy in North Miami is one of those places that combines fun, flavor, and atmosphere in a way that makes you want to come back. Located on NE 123rd Street, this cozy sushi bar is best known for its playful concept: sushi boats floating down a water channel right in front of you. It’s interactive, unique, and definitely adds excitement to the dining experience. The restaurant itself is small but inviting, with most of the seating arranged along the sushi “river.” It feels intimate, lively, and perfect for a casual night out. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff are friendly and attentive, making sure you feel welcome from the start. The food was fresh and flavorful. We tried a variety of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, and everything was satisfying. The specialty rolls, like the “Little Lucy Tower,” stood out for their creativity and presentation. I also enjoyed the classic rolls and the balance of flavors—nothing felt too heavy or overwhelming. The portion sizes are fair, and while prices can add up quickly depending on how many plates you grab, the quality made it worth it. One thing to keep in mind is that Sushi Lucy is not a big, flashy sushi house—it’s more of a hidden gem with charm. Because the sushi circulates on the boats, it’s best to grab plates that look fresh, or simply order directly from the menu if you prefer. Parking can also be a bit tricky since it’s in a small strip mall, but that’s a minor inconvenience compared to the experience inside. Overall, Sushi Lucy is a great spot to enjoy good sushi in a fun and unique way. It’s casual, different, and definitely worth trying if you’re in North Miami.
I’m super glad that Sushi Lucy reopens. The food & prices are awesome, the staff are super friendly & the place is clean. Also, Mamasan's Molten Mischief is the best dessert ever !! 100% recommend, I’ll be back soon.
4.5 stars. Sushi Lucy is a kaitenzushi establishment with a friendly staff and good sushi. Watching the boats pass by is relaxing, and the cool atmosphere offers the right setting for a pleasant evening. They charge by the color of the plate, with an okay pricing on their items. My favorite was the hamachi roll with scallions.
Our go-to sushi spot in the neighborhood! Fresh, amazing sushi. Conveniently situated around a kaiten style rotating boat sushi bar. Highly recommended! Great people run this place and they have a loyal following. Next time you think about going to Katana, skip it and skip the wait and come to Sushi Lucy!
Friendly environment with great food. It's definitely a place for people who like to taste a little bit of everything on the menu. Enjoyed the food, and the company kept.
One of my favorite sushi restaurants, excellent quality food and I liked the unique experience. At a point I was going almost every week! I’ve been calling to see if it opened again for dine in, left messages, haven’t heard back, I would really appreciate knowing so I can finally eat here again.
Large variety in sushi selection. Quality is great. Atmosphere is very welcoming but also chic
The food was amazing, the servers were very nice, and the entire place looked great. Seeing and smelling all of the food going by makes you incredibly hungry, and the looks don't decieve. Overall, i would definitely go again.
Looking for a locally owned hotspot to eat the freshest and most delicious sushi in South Florida? If yes you gotta try Sushi Lucy! Came last night to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and drove over 90 minutes and it was worth every mile. To begin, this is a locally owned business and their owners are there working alongside their friendly and amazing staff. The attention to detail from floor to ceiling , the chilled atmosphere and hands down the freshest sushi around! Every bite is pure perfection. Salmon, tuna, shrimp, squid and everything you eat will taste incredible. I literally had squid for the first time and it was pure perfection. This place is not your typical sushi bar but rather a kaiten bar where little boats set sail via a conveyor belt to bring you the best sushi you’ve ever had. last thing I’d like to add is that sushi Lucy was voted on wplg clean plate report as one of the cleanest restaurants in Miami dade! Go check this place out!
I love this place! The sushi is prepared and guests select it from boats passing by the bar seating. Pricing is posted on the wall and coded by plate color. They offer a menu of hot food made to order also. Good selection of wine and sake. Some craft Asian beers. The hostess offers to start drinks while you wait. The wait is not usually long, but seating is quite limited. Kid friendly.
Little cosy place with an interesting concept of sushi serving (on floating boats around the bar and tables). You can grab your sushi from a boat smoothly passing by or order it with a server. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed our food. Thank you!
When you want to Spice up your Sushi this is the place to go. The sushi floats by and you can get what you want. This Kaiten style sushi with boats floating by really accentuates the Japanese motif and feels different than conveyor belt sushi. Besides the great atmosphere and decor the sushi was amazing and the service was outstanding. Do yourself a favor and try Sushi Lucy .
Hands down the best sushi in North Miami (hidden Gem) Service was amazing, closes at 10pm but server did not put any pressure on us stay into about 11pm drinking delicious sake
Great food and amazing service, I've been coming for years and this will always be my go to sushi spot!
We've come here 1-2 times / week for the last 6 weeks. Excellent quality fish and service at a reasonable price. The other reviews are spot on. Love that the owners are BP locals. I'm guessing it's going to be nigh impossible to find a seat here before long. Go now!
Our first time! Wow what an easy dining concept. The plate colors are on the wall and depending on the color is the charge for the plate. You choose your own sushi off the sushi river, if you don't like what you see ask the server and she'll put in a request for you! The dumplings we ordered as an appetizer were amaZing!! Like so good, I wish I had some right now for breakfast. My sister and I just had an extremely long (13 hourz) of being tourists to Miami and contributing to the local economy, so we were happy when we found this little gem of a restaurant. The servers were nice. Space is tight to sit with all the other patrons, but it was worth it! Hands down great experience. The bathroom is clean and roomy.
The vibes here are amazing! The food was so fresh and delicious. I went with my family and everybody had a great time. It was such an unique experience like no other. Definitely coming back again!
I enjoyed it! My only desire would have been to get my check when I asked for it, not be told by my waitress to go have a seat, and she would bring it to me. I WAS READY TO GO, 130.OO TAB!!
Absolutely recommend! I did a take out order but would definitely eat at the restaurant too! Very inviting environment, friendly staff and delicious food!!! The salmon/cream cheese rolls and shrimp shumai were perfect!!!!
Great place, cozy, great food, friendly. You sit around a conveyor belt that has plates of food and you pick what you like, you can also order from menu. We've been there about five times since it opened about three months ago and it's never disappointed. We feel at home, even when we come with our one year old. Not the most comfortable place to bring babies but they are very welcoming and will accommodate and make sure you feel at ease. They have booster seats available for the chairs if you come with kids. If there were more starts I would give to them.
Sushi Lucy is a happy place and above all, a very logical choice for North Miami locals. Every time Chris and I receive the bill, we like to play the restaurant guessing game, closest guess wins the next dinner. With six small bites and a never-ending pot of green tea, we both made guesses between $55-60 (without tip). The bill arrived — a modest $43.38. With an extra $20 in my wallet, I walked out feeling invigorated, satisfied, “Yes! A win for our gastronomically grim, fast-food friendly neighborhood.” Closed during COVID, Sushi Lucy re-opened this year — its star, a gimmicky conveyor belt, a lazy river, peddling cute boats of sushi and cold apps. Most of the negative reviews I read kept comparing Sushi Lucy to Katana, the beloved "rotation sushi" gem in North Beach, which became known as, “That place with the floating boats.” Like most locals, I heart Katana, but in this over-populated, day-fueled traffic Miami era, travelling forty blocks feels like travelling four hundred. Upon sitting, we were immediately greeted by a pleasant server who explained the system: the plates are different colors, each color denotes a price. Then, within a minute we were enjoying an amuse-bouche of seaweed. Most of the rotating plates hover in the $5.50-$8.50 range, which makes you feel comfortable to freely grab, instead of being an annoying, price-conscience head calculator. The seaweed was cold and crisp, and the salmon sashimi was ultra fresh, tight on the outside, and tender in the middle. A crab salad delighted a sweet-salty craving, and a miso soup was big on umami, better than most. If you’re looking for high-ticket items, unique flavor combos, or “This fish just flew in from Japan,” then Lucy is not for you. She’s a simple girl. Unfortunately, the wine list dampens Sushi Lucy’s whole underground vibe by serving what seems like “Publix’s Hot Picks,” and there’s no truly premium sake choices. Would you rather have three miso soups or one glass of thick & glossy Meiomi Pinot Noir?!? As a neighborhood ally, let me write your beverage list in exchange for some seaweed salad, please. Lucy has the potential to be the coolest girl in town, but for now I’ll take the miso, all day long.
It’s a very unique spot! Grab your sushi and Sashimi plates from the conveyor belt river flowing around and around l. If you miss one, no worries, there will be more coming! You can also order from the menu as well. Cute date spot!
I really enjoy the place and the food! Although not fancy the food and ambience is amazing! You need to try the Crispy Rice…;)
The best all around ! Especially for date nights - service and food was above and beyond and super friendly!
This place is so cool! It's conveyor belt sushi, but they use small boats in water to move the sushi around instead! This is a fantastic hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurant with a menu that ranges from inexpensive crab sushi to their signature Lucy Tower dish! You can also order meals from the menu!
Anina was super sweet, and the service was great. The prices are super great and the quality of the food is amazing. Great hangout spot.
I’ve passed by this place every day for years and finally decided to try it. Can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on. All of the sushi is so fresh and delicious, staff is so kind and attentive, and the prices are great. Right when you walk in, there’s a great vibe and you can feel how clean the place is. Can’t wait to go back, definitely recommend!!!
Kristy was the best server! She got us everything we needed very quick! We will be coming back!
I recently visited Sushi Lucy in North Miami, and I’m already planning my next trip! The kaiten sushi bar setup is so fun—you just grab fresh plates right off the floating boats, and the variety is fantastic. The sushi is super fresh, and I also loved the options on their a la carte menu. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they even mentioned that new menu items are on the way—I got to try a few, and they’re absolutely delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, sake, or a chill night out, this spot has it all. Highly recommend for sushi lovers or anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Miami!
As a long-time and recurring customer who witnessed the transition from the old establishment to the new and improved one, I can't praise this sushi restaurant enough. The quality of their food remains consistently excellent, and the prices are remarkably reasonable. The cozy and unique experience they offer has only been enhanced in the new setting. It's a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, this place promises a delightful blend of top-notch cuisine, affordability, and a distinctive ambiance. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience start to finish. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, we did have a dedicated server but others checked on us throughout our time there and were happy to help with anything we needed. The revolving boat sushi is an option, but you can also order from the menu. The rolls were 5 pieces rather than 8 which we preferred because we could try more things. Prices were very reasonable and we already can't wait to return. We went on a Sunday evening and it was relatively busy even around 8 pm, which I think is a good sign! Crunchy crab salad was a standout in appetizers for us, highly recommend!
We love this spot! They do so much to accommodate and make sure our kids get fed fast. And the tuna is great everyone here is awesome!!
I recently had a unique sushi experience in North Miami. At this restaurant, diners sit at a bar, and sushi dishes pass by on boats. You can choose from preselected sushi rolls and sashimi, or you can request items from the menu. The color of the plate dictates the price, allowing customers to keep track of their bill easily. My sushi rolls were flavorful and fresh, and the atmosphere was eclectic and fun. My only complaint is that I wish they offered plum wine on their drinks menu. However, that won't keep me returning for more delicious sushi 🍣🍙🍘☺️
I LOVE Everything about this place! Fresh fish, tasty rolls, fun atmosphere, great service & great vibes! Me ENCANTA todo de Sushi Lucy!
my boyfriend & i came in close to closing time and were treated so kindly by our servers Nina and Rachel. the food was amazing, fresh and delicious and the service was fabulous. Nina & Rachel not only took their time to explain the dishes, but offered amazing recommendations. can’t wait to be back!
I’ve passed by this place for years. The food was great! It’s a nice cozy spot for a quiet dinner. See you again soon!
Sushi Lucy was awesome! I wasn’t sure if we could sit at the sushi bar with our toddler but they had booster seats so he could sit and watch the boats. Food was excellent, service was phenomenal. Will absolutely be back!
an amazing server, so attentive and personable. The sushi was also so fresh and they had really unique rolls. Will be back!!
Sushi Lucy finally reopened and honestly I’m super glad. I always go to Katana but I cannot always make it on time to get a table. My kids finish activities late and being able to get sushi that’s fresh on the way home is a great option. Try them out, owners are friendly, service is good. Super clean and nice.
Sushi Lucy has to be by far the most amazing sushi restaurant in South Florida. The flavor of the food and the atmosphere my goodness is from another world. I used to have second thoughts about eating sushi but their chef has done the unthinkable. He has turned me into a sushi eating machine. If you want to try the most flavorful rolls in SFL please stop by and get ready to be transported to the other side of the world with just one bite. Thank you
This was the first time I tried an experience like this and I’m so glad I came. The sushi was absolutely fresh and deLicious. The sushi was of quality and the pricing was very simple. If youR coming in hungrY this place can be expensive. My bill was around $50, but I do not regret it because the experriencee aNd sushi was amazing. Their will most likely be a wait because the restaurant is small.
10/10 for me! Dined here with my husband, service was quick, no wait time. Staff was attentive, polite and overall very nice. Sushi tasted very fresh and good selection to choose from the little boats alone. We will be coming back!🍣
It was our first time at Sushi Lucy, I love the floating boats concept and all the variety. the food was great, very fresh, and the spicy tuna crunchy roll was my favorite. The service started off shaky, then we decided to ask a different waitress/attendant a question, and she was super nice and answered all our questions. She made the night fun for us. We will definitely be going back. Im sorry I forgot the lady's name, but lady, you rock. Thank you, Sushi Lucy!
I love this place! I always have a good time and the food is fresh and delicious! The wait wasn't long. I loved watching the boats of food coming. The server was able to help me as I am allergic to shellfish. She knew all of the dishes and helped me pick those I could eat.
This place is so cute! It’s fairly priced, my fiancé and I ate so much and everything was delicious. Our server Nicole was super sweet and attentive even the other servers would check on us! The chef making the Sashimi and Nigiri was super helpful and made my fiancé so many shrimp nigiris 😂. We had a great time it was worth it! Truly a hidden gem. We came, we saw, and we definitely conquered.
Decided to try this radiant after being ignored at another sushi restaurant down the street. We ,unfortunately, came near closing. Staff were very transparent with us yet very accommodating. Food was great and still fresh! Service was good. I would come back for the eel and cucumber rolls alone.
The concept isn’t new. Conveyor belt sushi with plates floating around has been done before. That said, Sushi Lucy executes it well. The ambience is great, with proper lighting, clean surroundings, and a much more polished feel compared to similar places. The sushi was okay, but not impressive for the price point, especially considering the color-coded plates. I’ve been to other spots with similar pricing and noticeably better quality. The value proposition doesn’t fully land. That said, this is a good place for light eaters or anyone not looking to go all-in on quantity or premium cuts. It’s also a nice spot for casual conversation or even dining solo without feeling rushed or out of place. The staff deserves credit. Very welcoming, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, which helps the overall experience. Pros: Clean space, good ambience, friendly staff Cons: Sushi quality doesn’t quite match the pricing Overall, not a destination sushi spot, but a solid option for a relaxed, casual dinner.
Finally got the time to come visit this Kaiten style sushi joint I had added to my never ending list. We don’t have a lot of these around and the other one I know of, even though it’d be considered the OG, I’m not a fan of. This place is spotless in cleanliness and that’s a bonus for me. Relatively new to the area I’d consider this a hidden gem for sure. This is kinda like the conveyor belt Kaiten style except is powered by a water stream that’s pushing the boats around and it’s also super relaxing to watch. I had several plates stack up after trying a few dishes, like the tuna tartare, rainbow roll, shrimp tartare, torched salmon nigiri and crunchy crab salad all washed down with a nice cold Kirin beer; then end with chocolate coconut mochi ice cream. The owner/manager was on site and took the time to explain how the system worked and a few of the dishes as well, so service is A1. He was very attentive and helpful at all times. Food was fresh, delicious and not overpriced like some people are complaining about. One beer, five dishes and a dessert for under $60 with 20% gratuity is not breaking the bank for a good meal in Miami considering you end up spending over $100 every time for similar places. Obviously, this is not an Omakase fine dining experience but it’s priced adequately for its portions and quality. I’ve been to that other joint at the Beach and it’s about the same in quality but old and kinda dirty. Yes this joint is newer but cleanliness has to do with the people who run the place and how they care to project themselves. Anyways, only minor issue I see with location, even though I didn’t have any problems, would be the parking situation. I can see how finding parking in that small shopping center could turn into a inconvenience for people on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Other than that, this is a joint I’d come to when the sushi cravings kick in and I don’t want to spend a fortune.
I drove past this restaurant so many times without noticing it. Today, I decide to stop and give it a try. Nice place with a conveyor belt made of floating boat loaded with sushis. The staff was super friendly, the food was good. $37 for a salmon roll, a dragon roll, a spider roll and a JB. I’ll come back.
Sushi Lucy is a Kaiten style restaurant but the difference is the plates do not rotate on a conveyor belt, but on a boat powered by streaming water. It's actually quite relaxing to watch as delicious morsels float in front you :) Just simply grab the plate of sushi rolls, nigiri or appetizer that caught your eye and your good to go. Plates have different colors and there's a menu on the wall that shows how much each plate cost. Average is about $4 and the server will keep tab while you eat. The sushi plate has 4 pieces and nigiri has 2. You can also order from the regular menu. I got 5 different plates. Everything was fresh and delicious but the ones that stood out for me was the Little Lucy Tower and Dragon Roll. My total bill with soda was $27 plus tip. Not bad at all and I was pretty full. Service was also good. My server explained each plate and came by several times to check on me. Another bonus was the location. I literally walked from my building but they also have plenty of parking. Will be back again.
The food quality and dishes are absolutely incredible, but the service was really disappointing. There was one waitress for the whole restaurant: two four tops and the entire 16 seat bar. We didn't see her for 20 minutes after she took our drink order and then we had to wait another 20+ minutes for more water and ginger/wasabi, which sucks when you're eating sushi. They definitely need one more server working.
Sushi Lucy has a really nice atmosphere and feel to the place. The service is really friendly. They food is good, but the selection / options seemed limited to me.
Limited options but presented in a fun way. Kind of like eating sushi tapas style. Definitely want to go when they are moderately busy -- if it's slow the sushi stays on the boats for quite awhile, if it's busy you might have to wait for a good selection to float by, depends on where you're sitting. Of course, you can order direct with the waiter but that kind of ruins the experience. Our favorite was the spicy tuna roll.
Sushi Lucy is a wonderful place for a first date or casual night out. The ambiance is superb and cozy. Small enough restaurant to look like a home in the wall but big enough for a small party. The restaurant has sushi boats going around with select sushi, you simply grab a plate and keep the plate. At the end of your meal your server counts all the plates and that’s your total, it’s a serve yourself sushi spot of what you like. 4 stars because the service was superb and the actual restaurant is very well kept and it’s something we’re not used to in south Florida with the sushi boats. However, quite pricey for the quality of sushi they provide. It’s cool and fun for the first time but if you want quality sushi I’d recommend looking somewhere else, if you’re in the area and want a cute date spot this is the place
Great neighborhood sushi belt (boat) restaurant. You can also order from the menu if you can't find the sushi you want in the boats. Relaxed and good atmosphere.
Great food and a nice venue. Really enjoyed the few times I’ve come here. Would be nice if the food came out faster and if the various was better. Also they don’t do pick up orders?!? Great way to leave the money on the table. Overall a good spot to check out if you haven’t already
Just left after having dinner with my husband. We have been here before and loved it, we came back today to a busy restaurant. We were happy to wait for a couple of minutes and we were later seated and COMPLETELY forgotten about by the two wiatresses on the floor, never took our drink order never once asked if we needed anything but immediately hopped to grab my card when we paid. Who saved the night was DAYNA. She was amazing, attentive, kind, fast and made sure we were well taken care of. Honestly after over 15 minutes of being ignored we were going to get up and leave but thanks to DAYNA we stayed an enjoyed our night! We would come back because if HER service and her only if not we would probably never be back. Thanks Dayna!
Love this quiet little spot. Such a vibe. The rotating plates on boats passing by are a fun way to window shop your next bite and grab it. I sometimes wish there were more options on the boats but they do let you order from a menu as well and it’s very well priced. Will always come back here.
Tonight was our first time here and my husband and I really enjoyed the fresh sushi we had. Due to how busy it was, we sat in the second to last table of where the conveyor belt ends and we would basically get whatever rolls were leftover after everyone got their first pick lol. We ended up getting like 3 rolls from the conveyor belt but the rest we ordered from the menu and they came out quick and tasted fresh. We also had the Chicken Katsu rice bowl to finish getting full and we spent $112 including the tip. I did have to let the waiter know one of the colored plates was ringed up for incorrectly and she fixed it but I also took a picture of the plates before they took them for reference lol. For the cost, I believe the value was up to par and we look forward to coming back again but sitting in one of the first tables :)
Atmosphere was great, so was the service. The tuna tasted a little gamey, the salmon was awesome. They charged us extra for wasabi, the first order was very little so we asked for more and i guess they charge for that. Overall I would say it was okay, don’t go expecting it to be a replacement for Katana. I would go back but not anytime soon.
It’s not living up to the hype. Sushi quality is good. It’s pricey and service is not prepared for a full restaurant. They will probably get better with time. For now I would not go back and return to Katana. Where you might have to wait for a seat but once you are seated they are fast, attentive and the food : price relation is on point. To say something nice. Their beer selection and also serving it ice cold in a cold glass was the best of the night. So I still went home happy!
Went with my wife and 7 year old daughter. We had two beers and a somewhat decent amount of sushi for 2, but my kid only had a miso soup. Got a check for $175 without tip or taxes. At similar local places, the tab would have been around $95. The food and service were ok, but it’s overpriced for the offering.
It was good but way too overpriced. Amazing staff though.
The place, and ambiance was fine since is a fairly small restaurant. The music was nice and the owner was very attentive to the customers. There is plenty of parking in the back of the building if you can't find any in the front. The place was bit warm, and I am always cold in restaurants. The wait was less than 10 minutes, not too pack but if you want to get strategic sitting? Get the ones close to the chef preparing the sushi, if not? Whoever is before you will get the best ones. The cost goes as per the color of the plates and a separate menu that they have. From all the selections there was a lower price which is for $3.00 dollars. In the hour that we were there, the guy only prepared one white plate with rice and avocado. If you are going to have all options up there? Go ahead and make them all available like all the others, no matter what is on the plate. There were moments were the food was being prepared in the kitchen, and adding more to the boats from there. And there were moments were there was no food added, felt like been force to eat the expensive 4 pieces of sushi for $6.50 that kept floating around for a while. Food was good but to expensive for what it is. We wanted to try something new, and we did but for us was a one time thing only.
Took my girlfriend to her very first rotating sushi bar. The options were not plentiful. I definitely kept seeing the same stuff coming over. The two plates that I ate we're tasty but some of the sushi rolls that my girlfriend got were not so tasty. The menu options were good so if you're going there I suggest you just do food from the menu.
Great concept but i will not go back to a place that kicks you out because they want to close
Super overpriced for casual fast past dinning. Idea of the small Japanese floating plates is to have a lot small coast dishes. Everything here is 6-11 $ per plate. Easier to go to full dinning restaurant. You will pay less. 1 person 110$ -crazy. 3 stars only for the service. Food selection was also poor.
I think the main problem with this place is the prices. How is seaweed salad alone $7.50, the same price as some of the sushi rolls? They also lack a variety of foods being placed on the boats there should be dumplings, deserts, etc. there’s only some basic sushi rolls and seaweed salad cause who would pay that much for that honestly. Staff was nice but food was also just not even that good for the price and only 5 pieces for $10 sushi
I was really excited to try this conveyor belt sushi spot after seeing some cute pictures, but my experience was pretty disappointing. It took about 20 minutes just to get seated, and once we did, I ordered a green tea, water, and a JB Tempura roll. When I asked if they could remove the avocado, the waitress said it wasn’t possible since the rolls are premade and fried. I figured I could just pick it out, but when it arrived, it was literally just avocado and salmon—no cream cheese. So, I didn’t eat it and ended up ordering a basic salmon and cream cheese roll instead, which was disappointing since it wasn’t what I originally wanted. The portions were tiny—shockingly small for the price. I’ve been to plenty of better sushi spots that give you way more for your money. And to top it off, I never even got my green tea or water, despite sitting at the table for over an hour. On the plus side, the waitress was nice and friendly, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. If you’re looking for good sushi with reasonable portions, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
Atmosphere is pretty, we came to try something new from our usual spot. Parking was blocked off nearby for some reason, they don’t take phone calls to confirm if we could be seated before we drove there, sushi rice was a bit hard on some rolls. And had very little variety. Sat one hour before closing and we were still waiting for more exciting rolls to come out, no We had to order our own salmon nigiri, a staple in conveyer belts normally. They were cleaning up, taking out trash and stopped putting out new rolls while we were still looking forward to more
The place is well kept and clean. Service was attentive and friendly. Food variety was not there, though. Just like the previous poster stated, Katana is vastly superior as far quality, service, and variety. Food had no flavour, contrast to most reviews posted. Majority of plates were the yellow flowery ones. Yeah, we could have ordered from the menu, but would have been substantially more expensive. Was charged 6 plates and only consumed 5. Plus an 18% tip. Not satisfied. Went to Katana right after. Much improvement is needed based on my first time experience.
Cute Place, Sushi was normal, The salmon Sashimi was fresh, but I think is super overpriced, I am a sushi fan and know all the sushi spots in miami and for 6 plates I spend $42 in katana, here was the same 6 plates $76, expensive for what it is! And there was a rare barbecue smell at the restaurant super unpleasant. The worst thing is that I ask for a piece of lime for the ice tea and they charge me 50cents and also for a ponzu sauce and they charge also 50cents.(the bottle of ponzu sauce at publix cost $3) In Katana they dont charge you for sauce or lemon and ice tea have refills. The entrepreneur must do things that attract customers so they come back. That's the trick! Charging for half a lemon, half a tea, or sauces is terrible.
It used to be very good but in just a couple of months service went downhill, food portions became much smaller and now they ask you to order from the menu because there is rarely any food on the boats; which complete defeats the concept of the venue. Overpriced. Food still tastes nice but wouldn’t go back anymore.
I been to Shimas and Katana and in comparison, the quality of sushi is average. Not a lot of variety shown and the pink and white plates are very similar in color and quite deceptive if you are price consciousness. Especially the price for the white is $3.50 and the pink plates are $7.50. They didn’t differentiate between white and pink plates. At first I thought it was all white plates and we literally checked every plate color but then the waiter only checked two plates that you could only tell that it’s pink when the server shine her iPhone light on it. However, I highly doubt a California roll would be in a pink plate. She didn’t check all the plates that could be mistaken as pink she only shine the light in two plates and assumed the other two plates were pink. So we were charged 4 times $7.50. For the same price of $97 not including tip, I can get more food including a dessert from Shimas for a party of two that’s better quality and variety.
90% Not edible, not European rolls. It takes a long time to make something more or less normal
I didn’t like this place. The sushi is not that good, very expensive and the worst part is that you don’t know what you are eating. No description of the plates in the menu or by the waiter.
Disappointing experience – Empty boats and no variety I was really looking forward to dining here, but the experience was a huge letdown. While the staff wasn't rude, the 'conveyor belt' concept was completely non-existent during our visit. From the moment we sat down until we left, the boats were almost entirely empty. To make matters worse, the few items they did put out were repetitive and lacked any variety. It felt like they were only sending out the same basic options instead of a proper sushi selection. If you’re coming for the kaiten experience, don’t bother. Very disappointing for the price.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Not built or prepared to deliver High quality service at High Volume in such a small place.DO NOT Bring Family if you expect them to be taken care of efficiently and thoroughly other than that it's just a waiting Game ! GO TO SUSHI SONG !!!!!
Quite disappointing. Stick the the O.G Katana. Food was incredibly overpriced for half rolls, not to mention quality seemed quite low. Think worse than Publix sushi. Plates start at $5.50 for 4 pieces of the the most basic sushi and go up to $12+ Thankfully the boats bring the sushi as service is sub par. Took 20+ minutes to get the bills, for them to all come out wrong. After multiple rounds of getting the bills correct, one of us was still overcharged. Also , when did restaurants start charging credit card fees?! In short, cool concept. But save your time and money.
I felt unwelcome since the moment I walked in trough the door. The staff didn’t seem to know how/ where to sit us. The place is not big but there was only like 2-5 people max when me and my family got there. They came on to ask us if the children were going to consume because if they weren’t we needed to give us their chair. As the night progress the service kept being bad. Not by the waitress exactly but by the guy behind the bar. He kept screaming and talking in a bad way to the waitress. Lastly, he came to the table and asked half of the family to please pay and leave since we have not been consuming for a while and he had people waiting to be sit.
Unfortunately this is the worst conveyor belt sushi experience I’ve had by far. I went around 7pm on a Sunday (peak dinner time) and not only was the service almost nonexistent, but the boats were pitiful! Maybe the kitchen staff were on a smoke break. About nine out of every ten boats floating around were empty the entire hour or so we were there…I am not exaggerating, I counted. There was just a sad old California roll and one shrimp nigiri that kept going around in circles unclaimed. When the good, fresh rolls came around about once every 15 minutes, they were immediately claimed of course and rarely reached our table. Most people in the whole place were just sitting and watching for food to come out! Nobody was eating. We thought, oh well, let’s just order off the menu. And even those items took a half hour to reach us. And they weren’t worth the wait when we got them, nor were they worth the over $70 we paid per person when we left unsatisfied. Will not be returning.
Well this was a very disappointing experience. There is so much I wanted out of this experience. The restraint was beautiful and clean. However so many factors went into me writing this post. One thing I believe in is integrity. Which this restaurant lacks. I hate when I mention I have a food allergy and it is disregarded. Thank God for epipens.
The staff is super unprofessional. I happened to be in the area and wanted to check out this new venue and its operating hours because they were not listed on the door or building as I was walking out of another venue on the same block. I knocked on the door to get more information on their hours and offerings so I could visit at a later time. Unfortunately, I was met by a staff member who looked me in the eye and closed the gate while I was at the door, almost striking me in the head. Luckily, I'm not litigious; I was simply interested in patronizing this venue. However, if their employees think this is an appropriate way to interact with local guests, they are mistaken. They may have great sushi and a great management team, but the guest experience starts before you even enter the venue. If this is how they treat present and future guests, I will take my business elsewhere, where my patronage is appreciated. I wish this venue luck in all its future endeavors during these challenging times.
Terrible Experience – Food Poisoning and Inexcusable Customer Service My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. By the next morning, I woke up with a severe reaction — intense nausea, stomach pain, and fatigue. A doctor later confirmed it was food poisoning, most likely from the tuna I ate there. Let me be clear: I’ve eaten tuna, sushi, and all kinds of seafood my entire life and have never experienced anything like this. I don’t have any allergies. This wasn’t random — this was clearly a case of negligence. We contacted the restaurant right away to let them know — not to make a scene, but to warn them in case others had been affected too. We sent a doctor’s letter, photos, and a detailed explanation of the timeline. Their response? They offered me a free meal, which felt like an insult. Why would I ever return to a place that made me this sick? What made it worse was how they treated us — as if we were fabricating the whole thing. No apology. No real concern. No refund for the meal that caused this — just denial and complete disregard. I’m incredibly disappointed and frustrated by how they handled this. No customer should be treated this way, especially when they’ve provided proof and approached the situation respectfully. I hope this review serves as a warning, and that no one else has to go through what I did.
I WAS LED ASTRAY BY LUCY! Today was my anniversary and I thought this place would be an awesome way for me and my boyfriend to have a new experience and enjoy sushi on our date night. When we were seated and the price per plate and corresponding color was explained to us me and my man were hype. It seemed very affordable and exciting but by the second plate we realized that the portions were deceptively small and were not satiating. The more we had to keep ordering the less full we seemed to be and managed to still end up spending 80$ and left hungry. In addition I wasn’t truly impressed by the quality of the food either. Overall we will not be returning to Sushi Lucy because while it seems extremely reasonably priced the portions make it an expensive trick.
I visited Sushi Lucy for my first time, expecting a proper dining experience, but what we encountered was complete disorganization. The restaurant advertises a boat-style service, yet there was absolutely no food on the boats. When we asked the waiter, we were told that nothing was available unless it was specially prepared in the kitchen, which completely defeats the purpose of this concept. Meanwhile, the sushi chef was focused on making sashimi instead of sushi, and multiple customers who arrived before us were already complaining about the lack of food and excessive wait times. We waited over 30 minutes without receiving a single item. When we asked for an explanation, staff admitted that the restaurant was not prepared to handle all seats being occupied—an unacceptable excuse for any establishment that continues seating guests. Poor planning, misleading service concept, long delays, and zero communication made this experience frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this place at all unless there is a serious improvement in management and operations.
Desagradable. La sushi chef comiéndose las uñas y tocándose la cara. Revisen las cámaras Viernes 31 a las 9:30pm. Un ASCO
