They have really good food i live around Limani Roslyn , so is always one of my fav options
Thoroughly enjoyed the food at a recent Bar Mitzvah reception last weekend. Quality was outstanding and the servers kept everything filled (so efficient that they were almost unnoticed). The lamb chops were a very generous portion and cooked perfectly as ordered. Highly recommend this location.
Had an amazing time for my friend's birthday. Staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! The drinks, sooo good! Best passion fruit margarita I've had!
The food is very good..... upscale feel yet casual and relaxed. Be prepared to spend well over $100 per person. But the service and atmosphere befit the price. Keeping this in mind I would definitely recommend.
Excellent resturant. I been to so many resturants a round the world and Limani is on top 3 resturant the lunch special is unbeatable value. If you never been there you must go
Excellent high end Mediterranean. Dishes are well made anc mostly classic flavors. Everything was delicious.
This is my favorite place for special occasions when I want an intimate setting with my wife. The food, the ambiance are perfect for that special night with that loved one
A Greek restaurant that serves top rate and fresh seafood. The staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way to make your evening a delight. It does get busy so I would recommend to do as the locals, just order some Greek wine and patiently wait for the delicious food to arrive.
Extremely attentive staff. Excellent service. Very nice upscale, modern decor . An interesting and varied menu with both seafood and regular fare. Some items have a Greek twist to them. I've had excellent steak of different cuts. Lamb chops, lobster and calamari and more at one time or another. Can be pricey, but in line with other upscale restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.
Nice ambient, good food. Not loud music. Great for a quiet date or lunch
I recently dined at Limani restaurant, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a delightful evening. The menu features an impressive array of fresh seafood, and each dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. I particularly enjoyed the grilled octopus and the Mediterranean seabass, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. What truly made my visit special was the outstanding service provided by the manager, Elias. His attention to detail and genuine passion for ensuring every guest has a memorable experience truly stood out. He took the time to recommend dishes that suited our preferences and even shared some insights about the ingredients and preparation methods, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Thank you, Elias, for making our evening unforgettable!!
Business dinner with delicious food. The appetizers we tried were amazing. I was surprised by how good the octopus was. The lamp chops were cooked perfectly. I can't wait to visit again!
Beautiful restaurant. Great for families or groups. Really good food.
Absolutely delicious meal.My cousin and I shared the scallops, crab cake and 1/2 lbs of shrimp appetizers with a salad and the orzo spinach side and it was perfect. I’m very familiar with the location in Rockefeller Center NYC and always choose Limoni before a show at Radio City. Extremely pleased with Limoni Roslyn. Valet parking is a plus. All the staff were attentive and accommodating. Many couples and celebrations going on made for wonderful ambiance. Looking forward to visiting again when in Roslyn.
Went for a birthday party. Food was good, service was great, and very clean.
Last night our dinner at Limani was exceptional! From the minute you walk in to this establishment you feel welcomed. Our dinner, drinks and desserts were on point. We were taken care of as if we had stepped off a Jet. Customer satisfaction is very important and this customer was very pleased. Thank you Limani Team.
New York dining has finally gotten to the point where you feel like COVID is under control of certain precautions are followed. I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time. First thing’s first - there have set up beautiful outdoor seating setup under a massive umbrella and another area under a catering tent. Even on a hot day like today, in the early evening with a nice breeze blowing, it almost felt like you were on the Greek isles. But the swanky inside was interestingly modified for COVID safety. They not only separated the tables, but they installed high end wood framed clear partitions between tables. As a sign of their attention to detail, the wood for the partition matched the wood flooring. Also, all the servers wore masks at all times and the patrons wore masks as they entered and left. Ok, the food: very very good. The crab cake appetizer was from actual lump crab meat (now, not the real jumbo lump crab meat I’ve had in Maryland, but pretty darn good for non-NY). Everyone else got the octopus, which was fabulously tender and tart. Also note that the octopus app was a decent sized portion relative to what I’ve seen in other fancy places. The branzino, aka loup de mer, was delicious. It was dense, flaky, and moist. It was lightly seasoned, punctuated by the nice brininess of capers. It was presented skin down which probably looks better but at the expense of crispy skin. We finished with the baklava which was a little different than what I’m used to because of the aggressive addition of cinnamon. It kind of worked and made it taste a little more special. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the gave us a complimentary fruit plate too. All around, a terrific way to ease back into restaurant dining.
I am thoroughly impressed with the service, the food and overall atmosphere after every visit to Limani. Gluten free, No problem. On a keto diet, No problem. The fact is that this team will do whatever it takes to provide you the highest level of service with some of the best fish and seafood I have ever had. Highly recommended.
A local favorite for all things seafood and for socializing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and each staff member makes you feel welcomed. They have plenty of partitions between tables in the indoor dining area and the outdoor dining is nicely spaced out as well. The menu showcases plenty of seafood and delectable Greek specialties. The portions are fair to generous depending on the item. My friend and I arrived hungry so we each ordered apps to share and ordered a fish for two. Fabulous choices all around: grilled octopus and the seared scallops were excellent! Both sushi grade quality and texture -- even though it was cooked. Very happy with the grilled vegetables and Haloumi as well. Tonight was the first time I had Fagri, a Greek fish, and it was a sharing entree. That fish was huge! About 2-3 lbs. It was meaty and flaky, perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a share. I was so full, we skipped dessert. * Maybe next visit I'll save some room for dessert since this visit was my first time here.
My favorite, Lychee Martini, a hit or miss depending where you go. This place got it right. 😮💨😋 YUM: Tunisia Octopus🐙, Lamb Chops, Greek Salad🥗, Broccoli🥦 Rabe, and Chocolatina - warm chocolate🍫 soufflé served with fig ice cream🍨. Every staff member we interacted with were friendly and accommodating.
We hosted our June wedding at Limani and it was absolutely stunning! We had a Saturday lunch event and rented the entire restaurant to host our 120 guests. Our family and friends loved the food and the space and had a wonderful time. Working with Melissa, the event coordinator, was really seamless and she is easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend having your wedding at Limani. It has all the elements to make it a perfect, relaxed wedding: the space is modern, elegant and well it with all the natural light from the windows, the food is unbelievably good with generous portions and the staff is very professional and easy to work with.
Amazing service. Food is really fresh and great quality. Love stopping here for a quick bite.
Let's just say if you love Mediterranean food and a great atmosphere come here, if you're not about that then taco bell is waiting for you 😂. The wait was a tad bit long but it was worth the wait, even with a RSVP. The manager John aka Johnny Limani was a great gentleman and amazing at attending to our needs. Even the chef came out to visit our table and made sure our food was up to our expectations, which were surpassed by far. All this overall made our date night that extra special.
Absolutely Loved it! Our first time at LIMANI and we had an Fabulous time! The food was Delicious the Staff was Super Awesome! Marvin was on point serving our table and Jay was Rocking it at the Bar! We ate everything so fast we really don't have pictures because it was Delicious! We had Calamari Appetizers, Cold Beer and Wine, Yellow Fin Tuna, and out of tdd his World Grilled Salmon. It was Amazing! Highly recommend.
Limani-Roslyn is just fabulous. It is a true authentic Greek restaurant that makes you feel as though you were in Athens. As soon as you are seated delicious fresh pita bread along with hummus and baba ghanoush arrived at the table. The drink menus from the house specials were delicious. I had the Mango Martini that had Absolut Mango, Cointreau and Mango Puree and was divine. Also ordered was The Odyssey that had Ciroc coconut vodka and a splash of pineapple juice. I felt like we were on a tropical island. The Tomato Salad was so flavorful. Fresh ripe red tomatoes, cucumbers, green pepper, Greek olives, onions and a fantastic Feta, brought this salad together. The Patzaria roasted beets and skordalia was magnificent. The skordalia was just amazing. The scallops were delish. Seared bay scallops with citrus and mint was a delight. The calamari was fresh in a light pan fried and served with a Marinara sauce and a basil sauce that were very tasty. The Loup De Mer was a moist, mild Mediterranean Sea Bass with Horta. The filet mignon was out of this world. This crusted and cooked to perfection piece of meat, melted in my mouth. This piece of meat from @fdalemeatmkt was just outstanding. The Greek potatoes were crunchy and bursting with cheesy flavor. The swiss chard was very fresh and full of flavor. Not to be left out were the amazing desserts. The baklava was so flaky and luscious. The karidopita is a walnut cake served with vanilla ice cream. This cake was moist and yummy. My personal favorite was the Greek yogurt with cherries, walnuts, cherries in an amazing honey syrup was to die for. When I drove up to Limani- Roslyn, I knew that this was a very impressive place to be.he valet took care of my car, and were very nice youn men. This restaurant is gorgeous from the exterior to the inside. It is big and beautiful. It is open and yet seats many. It is comfortable, relaxing and it makes you feel as if you were in Athens. The high ceilings and beautiful light fixtures are breathtaking. When I walked around and I saw the kitchen and servers preparing the food, I knew this was going to be amazing. The fresh fish on ice in the center of the restaurant was fantastic to see as well as the showcase of meats from @fdalemeatmkt. The hostess is a lovely young lady as the maitre d' was wonderful. He was very helpful as he assisted in ordering on the menu. The staff was very nice. We were taken care of and never once did we feel rushed. I definitely plan on a return trip to Limani to try their other delicious dishes.
Limani is a gem for anyone craving Greek cuisine. The food is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. We tried the octopus, lamb chops, and creamy moussaka. The service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend for a top-notch Greek dining experience!
I love their new Covid set up the dividers between tables are wooden and glass keeping their sleek decor. The servers keep their mask on at times and their service is superb they even have a sanitizing station at the entrance you power by foot as well as an outdoor tent area for those who want to eat outdoors I will definitely be returning. The food was cooked perfectly I had the organic Slamon with steamed veggies and lemon potatoes they even accommodated my low sodium diet.
Limani Layout/atmosphere *Bar area and tables to left of entrance; tables and open kitchen to right; semi-private room behind wine racks Service *Very attentive Food/drink *Complimentary pita bread with hummus & eggplant-based dips *Sauvignon Blanc, Daou, Paso Roblas CA (2021) - Good *Octopus (Tunisa; grilled sashimi quality octopus) - tender; dressed with onions, tomatoes and capers *Saganaki (pan fried kefalograviera cheese) - crispy; delicious *Scallops (Canada; Grilled on the skewer) - good *Yellow fin tuna (Sashimi quality center-cut tuna with an Egyptian sesame crust with sautéed spinach) - excellent; sesame crust gave nice texture; the sauce was teriyaki-like *Loukoumades (Greek fried dough puffs with honey, walnuts & cinnamon) - crisp and sweet; delicious
10/10! Environment was amazing, service was so kind and catering, drinks & food delicious. My fiancé and I split the Greek salad as an appetizer, we split the lobster pasta & got the sea bass for 2. The meal was great. No one rushed us, we had a great time and the server even gave us a complimentary dessert! I will 100% be back. Great spot for an upscale dinner date!
This place has fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere. I would have taken more pics but everyone ate so fast I couldn’t get any! I got the lamb chops. They were juicy and cooked to my taste just the way I asked. My wife got the salmon. It cuts like butter and tastes amazing. My son got the lobster ravioli and loved it! We had a side of octopus and it was very good. Admittedly, pics I posted are actually of some of the leftovers. They’re very good even when reheated. I wish I got some of the actual dishes when they come out. We had a party of 25 and reserved their back room. It has a TV, which I connected my laptop to for a birthday montage I created. It was perfect. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They made the experience that much better! Needless to say I highly recommend.
Great ambience and quality food ingredients with well prepared and proper presentation. Restaurant has taken Covid precautions by installing well designed dividers between tables that provides a VIP dining experience. The meal itself was fantastic and the wait staff professional worthy of an award recognition.
Delicious food and the atmosphere is stunning. Special for the family time. Definitely coming back to this place.
Love the ambience of this place. The food was amazing will be going back again to get the steak. Lamb was made to perfection the sliced mushrooms were amazing. Friendly service treated us like family!
What a time I had with the fellas, old friends, and met new ones. It was a hopping place, classy yet refined. The kind of place where you'd wear a suit or a t-shirt, and it was ok because everyone carried themselves the same. The bar was great, drinks were strong and acoustic wise you could hear pretty well. Bartenders did a fantastic job, and the valets were kind and corteous. Clean restroom facilities as well. Ambiance was great, food presentation was superior, and they even had the chef coming out and talking to people, you don't really see that nowadays. Limani - a step above. Here's to coming again.
There's absolutely nothing negative. I could say about this place. The food is amazing. The drinks are outstanding. The service is always top-notch. They accommodate you even if you don't have reservations. I recommend this place to anyone. That's looking for a good Mediterranean food.
My husdinner on a Sunday with friends at 6PM. There was no wait. Service was great and tge food is always great. I shared the sirloin steak with my husband. It was excellent.
Exceptional Dining & Celebration Experience! We celebrated Sal’s 80th birthday at Limani Roslyn, and everything was absolutely perfect. The restaurant beautifully sectioned off a private area for about 50 guests, creating an elegant and comfortable setting. The food was incredible from start to finish — shrimp and crab cake appetizers, a fresh tomato, cucumber, and feta salad, and warm pita with hummus alongside my favorite, the crispy zucchini chips stacked with tzatziki sauce. Dinner offered several delicious choices — three types of fish, pasta, chicken, and my personal pick, the baby lamb chops, cooked to perfection. The lemon potatoes and spinach sides were amazing. Dessert was a beautiful finale: fresh fruit, Greek yogurt with honey balls, and a delicious birthday cake. From the attentive service to the outstanding food, Limani made this milestone celebration truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for any special occasion or fine-dining experience!
Limani has been our family’s go-to place for a decade. Beautiful ambience, impeccable service and simply great food. We went the other night for my husband’s birthday and had a time. Octopus was so tasty, and branzino was flaky and well cooked. Loved baklavas and yogurt with berry! Their prix fixe menu is very well priced for both lunch and early dinner.
Always a great dining experience here. Plenty of seating- love that I can make last minute reservations (came in clutch for indecisive people in my group). We ordered the dorado (can’t go wrong!), yellowfin tuna (amazing!), filet mignon (perfectly medium rare for the non-fish eater!) and of course the crowd favorite zucchini chips. Order dessert! We almost didn’t order dessert and so glad we did- we got the ekmek and it was delicious 🤤
Simply delicious. The service is quick with attention to detail. The menu is easy to read and covers a wide variety of dishes to satisfy almost any diet. The large tables provide ample space for diners to sit comfortably from each other without having to yell in a conversation. Tables are divided with glass walls, which I hope will remain permanent. This place has literally made the best of the pandemic with these changes. The valet is careful and quick with the vehicles. All the dishes we ordered were perfect, no complaints. Perfect for casual dinners with your family and close friends. I highly recommend reservations before coming.
Exquisite restaurant with reasonably priced prefixe lunch specials ($30 for 3 courses). The grilled octopus and scallops were tender and flavor was on-point. Was disappointed in the Loup de Mer, salmon and lobster pasta. I thought they were going to taste super fresh but they were just ok. The service was excellent and everyone was very accommodating. Really loved the ambiance and decor and was ok with the food because of the lunch prices but I would expect more if I had paid dinner prices.
The vibe is nice. There was a massive many legged bug near us so that was tough but…The steak was VERY good. Lemon potatoes are lovely. Service was great.
The restaurant feels nice inside, looks spacious and comfortable. The food is ok, tried a few of their dishes, some are very good, some not very taste (like the dry chicken in the picture). This place is pricey, so keep that in mind. Service is good and fast, the restroom is clean and in order.
The food is above average for the area. Particularly the fish. The tuna tartare was excellent. However the salmon tartare was stringy and the consistency of the flesh was a bit off. It felt like they used the worst bits of the salmon since it was chopped (like leftover soup). It was a bit oily as well. The oysters were excellent. The halibut was a little dry (see pictures), the presentation was lackluster (that matters if you're going to a higher-end restaurant), and under-seasoned. I'm a firm believer that the flesh of fish out to be crispy or removed (save for whole fish presentation). It was rather gelatinous and uninspired. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and the chef checked on us a couple of times. Can be loud when busy.
Their seafood is the best. It was very busy for a Saturday afternoon. The Loup De Mer and Octopus were as fresh as it gets. This is a place to go if you want good food with some Mediterranean flair. They have outside seating and partitions on the inside. Service was attentive and fast. Overall a good experience.
We went there to say goodbye to 2025, last meal of the old year, the place was very well decorated, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. We ordered the Fried Calamari 😋 and Octopus 🐙 for starters, and let's not forget the complementary Pita Bread and Hummus. They were perfectly cooked. That was followed by Salmon and a Fagri for 2 and Lemon 🍋 Potatoes 🥔. Very tasty. We finished the night with a Molted Chocolate Cake and a Yogurt w/HNI. We did enjoy the meal, the service was excellent.
We came here for a birthday celebration, arrived 5:30pm on a Saturday, just in time to order the prix-fixe. Food was amazing, and our server was very attentive. Though timing was a bit rushed, unsure if they have an event that night or what, we’ve got frequent check-ins as to whether we are done with our dishes. So we finished up and took the rest to-go. Parking can get difficult as there’s only valet parking available, otherwise you’ll have to park along northern blvd. When we left around 6:45pm, i waited to get my keys from valet and right after jumping on my car, i got honked at within 15 seconds signaling me to leave, even though I still haven’t got my seat adjusted back to my setting. So overall it is a busy restaurant so be prepared. I would say this would have been a nicer celebration experience if we could at least get more time to dine and chat over dinner and a minute or more to get my seat adjusted after getting on my car.
A group of friends and I came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has elegant décor, attentive service, and very fresh seafood. They also offer valet parking, which made things very convenient. The prices are on the higher side, and I did feel that the tables were placed a little too close to each other, which affected the sense of privacy. For these reasons I took off one star. That said, the quality of the food and service still made it a memorable evening. I would recommend this place for special occasions and celebrations.
Good atmosphere, good food and great tasting appetizers. The staff is super attentive. Fish and steak dishes are very good. The lamb chops were very well seasoned and they melted in my mouth. The grilled octopus was good but it was a bit dry... nothing olive oil and a dash of red wine can solve.
"This is a seafood place, not a steakhouse" were the person in charge exact words. While I didn't directly handle the interaction, my wife explained the exchange with the person in charge after our visit to celebrate a special occasion for a relative. She was told fine dining places prefer to serve their food bland. I have never heard such a thing. Servers behaved as if we weren't supposed to be there and responded rudely to questions. I'm sure one review or visit isn't a deal breaker, however the entire exchange was mishandled by management.
We were really looking forward to having a great tomato Greek salad. Unfortunately, the tomatoes were mostly mealy lacking in a firm juicy flavor. Additionally, there were only three small slices of green peppers and three black olives with a tossing of onions. The dressing was bland. We moved onto the stacked fried eggplant and zucchini, which we both agreed had a delicious tzatziki. I had the Dover Sole which was a solid good. My husband had a salmon which was overly salty. Everything seemed very expensive based on the quality.
I understand price fixed menus aren't uncommon on Valentine's Day, but I was not made aware of that when I first made the reservation. They could have at least mentioned it when I confirmed the reservation with my credit card information over the phone the day of. The same dinner would've been at most $90 a person as they have a very similar price fixed meal on their website 7 days a week ($44 with up charges for steak and lobster). Adding the 2 coffees, 2 flutes of sparkling wine, and 1 tomato salad to the bill would not bring up the total to what was charged. One starter tomato salad to share, then an app, meal, and dessert (baklava or 2 choc strawberries) with coffee/tea and complimentary sparkling wine flute per person. $160 without included gratuity. 2 of the 4 drinks, all over $20, were not worth it. A "mango fizz" should probably be in a Collins with some seltzer, and not in a martini glass. Limani Sour and Root Beer Old fashioned were fantastic though. We had to ask ask for the coffee/tea by flagging a server down long after receiving our dessert. One of the servers seemed annoyed when we asked about an ingredient in one of the cocktails. Not very friendly and seemed overpriced even with the lobster pasta option (as it was bland). The hostess was the friendliest person we dealt with, thank you to her!
My aunt was visting first time in 4 years. Been coming here and there from Port Washington. I wanted to go to daily catch, but my mom wanted to go to limani. anyways, I had a mix feeling about the service and food. fried calamari was the best friend calamari i had in my life I get fried calamari everywherr anywhere all the time good potatoe wedges and tzzzakki sauce. cowboys steak was little under done to medium but still tasty, lobster pasta so overcooked to f and chicken rosemary was so dried, ordering tzaaakki sauce helped get through. although service waiters were nice....we waited 20mins to wait for main entree after finishing appetizers. we were asked twice if we wanted to order drinks, if we were ready to order, if we wanted to order dessert on all three occasions...like our waiter disappeared after he asked what drinks we would like then the guy with black shirt asked if we wanted drinks, waiter disappeared for 10mins so I had to call over blackshirt waiter to order then 15mins later our waiter came are you ready to order...then wanted to order tazzakki sauce and that took another 4-5mins. black shirt waiter asked us if we wanted dessert but we said no then 5mins later our main waiter came if we wanted a dessert menu kept intruppting our conversation like stop it lol! i would have said something if it wasnt for my aunt being so calm and chill...water was filled up as always but usually place like this someone usually says hows the food or hows everything but nothing personal no bye no thank you...:( then realized there was a birthday party event and main dining guests like us were left hopeless and mgr not be found...I definitely want to give another try because fried calamari was good decor nice nice tzzzaki sauce good pita bread hummus but idk...this is an honest opinion but I hope places like thiscare about these small reviews and learn from it came here 1:45pm 9/3/2025
Been coming here from. The beginning. Made a few parties here in the glass room too. Last night was not good. Not even close. Had 2 fish for 4 of us. Both fish way overcooked. Mushrooms were almost non existent. Service was ok. Bottle of white wine came out warm. Service was over bearing with the rough pouring of water wine. Gotta train these guys. We aren’t eating in a diner. This is supposed to be fine dining. Come on people. Get it together. Please. This is twice by the way. Not a one off. Thank you for the dessert but honestly. Dinner was lousy. Shocking.
Living nearby, my family and I have eaten at Limani quite a few times. We have also door dashed on more occasions than we probably should have and that’s because the food is consistently good. I’m writing this review, because last week I made a special reservation to celebrate a birthday dinner, and it was extremely disappointing. Our server, Jaime was inattentive and unfriendly. Not once did he revisit our table to see how things were. To order, we had to flag him down three times. I waited for a fresh fork over 8 minutes and one of my drinks actually never came out. Additionally, I requested the chicken be cooked extra “well done”. Personal preference as I like it that way and the modification requested was not honored at all. The chicken was cold! The best thing about dinner was the glass of sav & fried zucchini chips. To add a cherry on top to an extremely dissatisfying dinner, we flagged the waiter down again, to order dessert, reiterated we were celebrating a birthday and not even a birthday candle was presented.
If the experience of going out is more important than the food is, go here. If you want to impress a date with ambience and atmosphere but don't care so much about the meal, this is your place. If you don't want to drive to Queens for authentic Greek food, and are happy to pay twice as much or more to stay local, look no further. If you don't know how Greek coffee should look when served, you won't learn here.
So this is a tough one to review. Firstly, the place is beautiful inside. We sat down and it took quite a while for someone to come in to take our drink orders. Prices for a bottle of wine were quite reasonable. As far as the appetizers and entrées were concerned some were a hit and some were ok. The octopus was absolutely cooked to perfection. The saganaki was delicious as was the grilled calamari. The crab cake was good but not worth the 30 dollar pricetag. The entrées were cooked well but the steak was more expensive than any steakhouse in the area. I had the dorado which was good but didn’t knock my socks off. The salmon that my daughter had looked and tasted delicious. Service was mediocre. We waited 30 minutes after the desserts for someone to bring the check. Still had a good time but was it worth the price? I would have to say no because I can get a great dinner at other Greek restaurants for half the price.
Guys, this is where you come for a fancy feast. It's a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion or a really nice date night. Now, if you're looking for a great meal, the quality of cuisine for the price is not exactly proportional. You can definitely get the same quality at your local Greek restaurant in Northern Blvd or Astoria. We thought the fish was great but not worth 100 dollars lol. The spinach dish-you could say that it could be made at home. The octopus was all right, it wasn't earth shattering like people seem to suggest. The desserts were pretty great. The lava cake and their little tea set with loose chamomile was a nice end to a very expensive meal.
This was my second time dining at Limani with my husband, and unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing. From the start, our waiter seemed inattentive and unengaged. While he did eventually take our appetizer order, he never returned to take our entree selections. Furthermore, the manager was going to every table around us to ask patrons if everything was ok, except us, and if that was not enough another server pointed at us as the manager was saying something to him and he laughed in our direction. Disrespectful and rude, not our fault that the server never came back to us to ask for our entrees, we never told him we weren’t ready instead he just seemed like he was in a rush, it wasn’t even busy. We left without having any entrees as the experience left a bad taste. It was unclear whether this lack of attention was due to our age, race, or what, but we couldn’t help but feel overlooked. Overall, it left us feeling unwelcome, which was a stark contrast to our first visit. The 2 stars because I do like the food.
Went there for dinner with my relatives... About as Greek as Sushi and Apple pie... As a Greek it upsets me when places misrepresent Greek cuisine and charge a premium for it. Just call it Greek inspired. $1500 for almost mediocre food. The drinks were good.
The restaurant was very cold in a 9°F outside temperature. We asked if the heat was on and the waiter said that it was turned off. All the clients were freezing and they were “enjoying” their meal with coats and scarfs on. Definitely it is not a restaurant recommended in the winter. Food quality is overrated: besides the grilled octopus, the rest was pretty low-mediocre for the price, and the service was lousy: no steak knives were brought to the tables, and the food was served barely warm. The end of the dinner was “sweetened up” with something that they label as PROFITEROLES, but it was evident that don’t know what a real profiteroles is. They presented an unpleasant buttery dessert. Also, we couldn’t even have a conversation because it was so loud in there.
Very disappointed with this restaurant. I was told while making the reservation that either a mimosa, Bellini or Bloody Mary was included per person in the brunch price for Mothers Day. Turns out 5 days before Mother’s Day, they changed the plans and excluded alcohol without letting anyone know. After speaking with 2 managers and acknowledging the situation, they chose to do nothing about it. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! Horrible customer service, both those managers were useless and should be fired. And by the way - the food ran out!
Food was cold and not very good. Three Greek items in buffet ( moussaka - terrible,) Food cold at 11:30 am, fruit unappetizing and not one Greek dessert. So disappointed!
I never write reviews, but my recent experience at Limani was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. During our visit, we found a bug in our food. Instead of apologizing, the waiters simply took the dish away and asked us to order another one, making us pay for it as well. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, this is unacceptable. The least they could do is ensure the food is clean and handle such situations with better customer service. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.
Staff does not listen to customer requests …. Restaurant almost empty and they try to get us out as soon as possible. It’s a table of eight. They get their tip over $100 tip and they don’t take care of you The food was fair. Nothing to write home about for their prices of services. The main thing if you have a weighted that doesn’t care it doesn’t listen it doesn’t make for a happy night.
Never left such a bad review, but the service was really terrible. I had a symptom of diarrhea after having the lunch. I told the manger that might be an issue with the food, but he simply claimed that it was my own problem. I did not eat anything before I came to here, and I don’t have any food allergy. Eventually he gave me a anti-diarrheal pill and a 10% off to the bill. The attitude made me really uncomfortable.
We were a group of nine celebrating a birthday at Limani in Long Island, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered four fish to share, but were never told that each fish was 3.5 pounds—far more than we needed. When the waiter asked about sides, we assumed they came with the main course, so we asked him to bring one of each option. Only later did we discover that every side dish came at an additional cost. Without clear communication, the waiter ended up bringing far more food than we wanted, including multiple appetizers we never realized we were ordering. When the bill arrived, it came to $200 per person. At no point did the staff advise us that the portions and add-ons were excessive or that each “side” was an extra charge. We raised our concerns with the manager, but he took no responsibility. To make matters worse, the food itself was not impressive—the fish remained largely untouched. We are a group of 15 families who dine out regularly, and we will not be returning to this restaurant.
We were a party of 8. The policy of not allowing the price fixe dinner for parties above 6 is absurd and was enough right there for me to never return(we asked and were quickly and curtly rebuffed)..arriving at 430pm to a less-than-crowded room, we spent three hours putting up with slow service and a not very friendly waitstaff. Tables coming in after us were served quicker and finished well before us. I scanned the now crowded room around 6pm and came to the conclusion that most of the clientele present were of Greek Heritage(makes sense); we are not. Totally unlike me to say this, but I got the feeling this is why we were hung out to dry for such a long time. The most egregious $200 per couple I have ever spent for average food, with very little alcohol, minimal appetizers, and few deserts. I rarely if ever post a negative review, opting to abstain because I am conscious of never slandering a proprietor’s business. However, tonight there was no excuse for me to hold back. There are not many negative reviews here, but the ones that are echo my same sentiments. I’m sure the owners will react the same with no reply.
The worst restaurant i ever visited. The waitress Nikko was horrible, he messed up with orders, constantly need to ask for orders. Returns many dishes back due not properly cooked. Valet parking also refused to take a car , need to look parking on the street. Avoid this restaurant- it’s plenty of good restaurants around. Never coming again. They messed up my Birthday and as well as my son Birthday.
