I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl and it was very delicious. The meal was affordable, and the service was super quick. Would recommend.

food is rly tasty and always a full plate. they give the amount of chicken shown on the pictures, if you want more then ask for more ahead of time. everyone complains about the service on here but you just need to be realistic. its a mall food court, you're not here for the atmosphere. grow up and stop whining this place is the best spot in there!!!

I’ve been coming to this location genuinely since I was a kid. I get one thing and one thing only the chicken teriyaki. And I still love it. Now being 23 it’s still my favorite thing to eat. Teriyaki no veggies extra chicken would be my death row meal. I love this place with all my heart. The chefs and staff are hardworking and they may not talk to me much, but I owe them my life. If I possibly to become a millionaire, I would promptly donate $50,000+ to each employee who’s kept me feed all these years. I’ve had many teriyaki chicken in my life, and for some reason, Sarku stands above. I wrote this while eating my Sarku. Long live Sarku <3 (specifically the mission Viejo mall location)

Sarku Japan is an affordable restaurant for some teriyaki chicken with vegetables and rice. I personally like to order the chicken with shrimp combination. To me it's a good value for what you get.

I have been coming here for over 10 years, and it consistently hits the spot. The Chicken Teriyaki bowl with extra chicken is the way to go, and the sheer amount of food you receive is uncanny. Can't recommend it enough if you are craving a Chicken Bowl

Quick and easy Japanese food at Mission Viejo mall. Enjoyed the chicken and rice bowl and the mall had plenty of seating with nice clean tables and a good family vibe. The employee were nice and quick in serving the meal and pricing was not expensive. Overall good experience and very convenient if you want a quick meal in between shopping.

Sarku opened again after a few months. This is my default lunch place to go. Its teriyaki chicken with rice and veggies is great. They also have bento boxes at a really good price. It is inside the mall so it can be noisy, but still a good place for everyday lunch!

I have been here a few times now. The experience has ALWAYS been the same. The food is really good. The chicken is very tasty. Delicious. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Every time I have gone, it's the same. One time a few of the workers were catcalling my wife. Really?!?! Tonight, the service was terrible. I never heard them call my number. As I went up and asked (mind you I speak Spanish), I asked if they called my number as it had been a while. The guy pointed to my order sitting on the counter. No words. No eye contact. Rude AF.

The food took forever, I thought they had to go find the chicken first before the cooked it. The food taste was decent so a plus from this experience. It was not worth the wait time in my opinion. Honestly the food was pretty good. but cashier didn't give me my money back, I paid 15 for 11.63 and got a few cents back in change. The line was too long to go back and I was hungry so I didn't do anything about it.

When I asked for a soda refill the employee was about to give it to me when the owner decided to interject very rudely might I add and say only one refill. Never have I had a refill be an issue. When I asked where it states only one refill he said "too bad that's the rule!" Everyone has the right to manage their business as they see fit. No issue there. Despite never hearing this before, I had no issue with his policy. It's not what you say but how you say things. After over a decade of visiting this establishment, this man lost a loyal customer. There is no need to snap at a customer for policy. It takes nothing to be kind. There are plenty of other food options in the food court. Hopefully this reviews makes him reconsider how he speaks to customers.

This time around. After ordering a beef teriyaki which the picture shows all noodles no rice with beef and veggies. I get my food and it's only rice. She tries to tell me that noodles are extra. I'm like I literally pointed to the picture and told you that's what I wanted. Then says no the picture is not accurate we need to charge you extra. I just asked for a refund instead.
