Love Happy Dragon! Have been there several times, never a bad experience. The food is awesome, they have a great selection. The atmosphere is pleasant. Family business! Would highly recommend it to anyone 😊🍲🥠🥡🥢

The service was a bit slow but that’s totally to be expected all with in a matter of ten min two separate tables came in two older ladies with orders to go(that were quite RUDE I might add, giving the poor girl a very tough time) and four door dashers two with large orders all came In at once... you could tell the girl was a bit overwhelmed even the door dashers were making comments, but she held her composure and got everybody their orders even in those overwhelming circumstances... I know they are a restaurant and that’s to be expected but on a Monday it’s hard to find Chinese restaurants open so I thought she handled everyone very well, even with rude comments being thrown at her. My son and I loved our food and it came out hot and good proportions. We definitely will be going back!

Always great food at a great price. Friendly people, and fast. The best, and only place I go for Chinese food in Modesto. Update: Still great food. I've heard people complain about the time getting food out, but good food takes time to cook. If you want fast, tasteless food, go to Panda Express.

Mu husband & I ordered 2 fried garlic chicken combo plates & some cream cheese wontons. You know how sometimes you order garlic chicken & it just ends up tasting like orange chicken?? NOT the case here! The garlic chicken was crispy with a little spice to it & full of garlic! The fried rice & chow mein is fresh and very flavorful. Cheese wontons were great as well. This place is top tier 💯

This place is so good and clean! The prices you can't beat. Best chinese in east side Modesto. Its def a hole in the wall restaurant but that's the best kind of restaurants in my humble opinion. Garlic chicken and pork chow mein highly recommended. I just wished they had like a homemade chili sauce that would be epic! Thank you 😊

The owner of the shop is always super welcoming. I go there atleast once or twice a week to order their chicken chowmein, beef with vegetables, and walnut shrimp. The portion size is great because for each item you get a huge to go plate filled up. Not only is it cheap it's delicious. It is definitely one of my to go places.

I had take out but didn't go inside. My husband said it was clean and had nice staff. Food was good. I have no complaints. Egg rolls were amazing😋

The food was great and I love their cute child that comes by and greets us, it gives the place a good family/cozy feeling to it to have the family helping out the buisness together. Don't recall seeing that anywhere else. Anyways, me and my friend come there regularly and always have a great time there and the takout food is the same proportion as you are dining in, which is good to know. Plus i like how they decorated the place with a chinese atmosphere. Oh, and their bathroom is located in the back if you have to go. Thank you for reading and have a grear life

Good food seriously, but I got the Mongolian beef and holy shmoly there was actually so many onions like it’s unbelievable. It was onions with a side of beef no kidding man. They absolutely pack the plate until it’s full so I give credit for that but like bro there was SO MUCH ONION.

Friendly staff food done quick... but food is hella greasy and lacking flavor and spice... had the orange chicken and tasted way to salty and nothing like orange chicken ive had other places... but mostly super bland they also didnt give and soy sauce or chili sauce to go.

Think I could have done better with a Youtube video and my home stove. I ate maybe 15% of meal and deposited it into the Tuesday pickup can. Maybe my pallet expected something more. I will not be returning.

Thought we found our new favorite spot until today. Ordered two plates of fried rice, chow mein & sweet and sour pork but the sweet and sour pork was so hard we couldn’t even bite into it. Either it was waaaaaay over cooked or just way old. Not sure but we were definitely disappointed 😒

I ordered for delivery to be at my house at 6pm. 6:15 came and still no food. So I called and asked where my food was and she said to allow 25 min extra to be delivered I said ok perfect thank you. 6:45 came and still no food. So I called again. And the lady laughed at me saying how I wasn't there only customer. I told her I wanted a refund and she said the food would be there by 7:15. it never showed up until 7:30pm. Once I got my food I noticed my order was WRONG!!! The only good thing about this restaurant is their prawn chow mien and that is being generous.

Yuck. Orange chicken is not orange chicken. Either they got our order wrong or they don't know how to make orange chicken. If you plan to eat your meal the same day as you order it, don't do delivery. It took almost 2 hours to get our order and it was cold! Rice was dry and everything tasted like it had been cooked earlier in the day and let sit to burn. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Walked into a filthy and empty restaurant... I should have turned around right then but i was hungry for Chinese food. I ordered. When I got home the Orange chicken, noodles and even the rice tasted extremely bitter. The meat was tough and the noodles way too greasy even for Chinese food. I hate giving a business a bad review but I took three bites and threw away the whole combo plate. This was my second time going here. The first was poor if not quite as bad but i believe everyone deserves more than one chance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

First and LAST time going here. Placed an order over the phone and came in 20 minutes later as told. Still waited 30 minutes for my order. Got home and one order was wrong. Had to go back and wait another 30 minutes. "Fried rice" is white rice and frozen veggies mixed in. And all of the main dishes were burnt or had a burnt taste. This was a very dissatisfying new eating venture. My family will not be returning to this place

I was real disappointed there orange chicken was really thick and dark had no favor. There pork chow mein no flavor either. The only thing I liked was the pork fried rice.

I ordered a delivery of five items. They told me it would be an hour wait and it was. The guy who delivered the food was kind and I even left a tip. I started eatting and realized that my chowmain was missing so I called them to let them know. This Is the part that upset me... I'm a Starbucks store manager and I couldn't imagine how upset I would be if one of my team members were to act this way toward a customer.... When I informed her that it was missing she said she didn't think so and I listed the items that I ordered and the ones I recieved. She laughed at me and said "I can't believe this, you're my last customer, it's only a few dollars you know." I told her I would even be willing to drive and pick it up even though that was kind of the point of delivery... she continued to laugh and said "I can't believe this, it's only a few dollars. It's so funny" she rpeted herself a few times and continued to say who knows what to the people in the background and told me I could buy another one and come down there myself. So I packed up my order and went to the restraunt to show her... They finally made it right and gave me pork chowmain insted of the house chow main I paid for but at this point it doesn't even really matter. It was beyond disrespectful.

Ordered doordash and opened the tied bag my food was in and a COCKROACH crawled out of the bag onto my kitchen counter. First and last time ordering from this restaurant. Absolutely disgusted.

The 1st time I went to eat at this place I didn't think the food was very good and the woman was kind of rude. I gave it another chance today and I will NEVER go there again. Service was terrible. Served me warm tap water in a red plastic disposable cup with no ice. I ordered string beans with chicken and the string beans were all shriveled up and tasted stale. I think there were about 4-5 small pieces of chicken. The food itself was not very good at all. I took two bites and pushed my plate away and waited for her to come out from the back and she never did. I waited for about 25 minutes and nothing. I got up and left and will not return. I basically paid $10.00 for nothing. Terrible. Terrible Terrible. Do not waste your time or money!!

Me and my girlfriend we went to happy Dragon for our first time to try out the food. It was the orange chicken and fried rice and chow mein. I recommend not going there because I tried it when I got home next thing you know chicken has no flavor rice and chow mein didn’t have no flavor tasted old. I didn’t like it felt like vomiting when I was eating it. I do not recommend going there. I regret wasting my last $30 on that bullshit. It says happy dragon, but I say it as unsatisfactory dragon because it was a horrible place to go to.
