The Modesto Ortho team went out of their way to accommodate me. I was there in error as I was supposed to have gone to Stockton! People were apologizing to ME for delays and I had to correct them and say not to worry, that I was part of the problem and glad to wait.
The technician Stephanie Lopez took the time to listen my concerns and made sure I was ready for the test. She also interpreted the results and compare them with my past test. Additionally she gave me recommendations for a better hearing.
Dr. Mehendale provided a great clinical and care experience and presented in a calm and compassionate manner despite being so busy with her caseload on this day. The 30 min I waited was well worth the wait. Excellent Care @ KP Modesto!
My experience was very pleasant and smooth running. Laura was fantastic! She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She conversed with me and was very professional. She was very pleasant and kept things on schedule. Dr Nazareth and team were very informative and thorough. Everything in the procedure was explained to me very well. The Doctors and staff were very pleasant. Please tell Laura she was great!
Dr. McEvoy is a great doctor. I met her in the ER, and she made me feel comfortable and confident about her recommendations and her experience. I went for a follow-up yesterday and had my staples removed, and we discussed my surgery. I am so glad she fixed my bowel blockage.
I went into the emergency room yesterday with pain for a kidney stent and stone! Dr. Michelle Wong provided me with the most amazing and genuine service! She was non bias and went above and beyond to make sure I received quality care! from some who has had previous bad experiences in the hospital, she changed my mind about those who practice medicine. Urologist Dr. Chen was also amazing! Super kind, genuine and efficient in his work! He provided me with surgery that could of quite changed the course of my life when no one else was paying any mind! He took into consideration that I was a transplant patient and acted accordingly! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH! You are doing more than practicing medicine you are changing lives! Keep going! Jeremiah 29:11
Dr. Mueller is an extraordinary physician and surgeon. He is highly skilled as a surgeon. In fact, he saved my life when I had little to no chance. During the post surgery care, while considering options to reconnect, he is thorough in explaining the pros and cons, etc. to give me the best quality of life possible at this point. His kindness throughout eases the challenges I live with now. I honestly cannot sing his praises enough. Dr. Mueller is the best of the best of physicians and surgeons. I am older so have had many doctors throughout the years; Dr. Mueller is the most highly skilled and effective doctor I have ever had!
Dr. Hua is so great. She is incredibly personable, very professional, and makes every appointment with her a positive experience. She remembers things I’ve told her about my life from months ago, which is not strictly necessary from a doctor, but it’s very much appreciated. I’ve never had a bad experience with her, even when she’s poking me with needles. I look forward to every appointment with Dr. Hua.
I was delighted to meet my new doctor "Mary Anne Apostol Castro". she was very welcome and made me feel comfortable and also gave me the feeling I will be taken care of by a very compitant medical doctor. I look forward to being her patient.
I’ve been with Kaiser for over thirty years and love. Being able to get everything ie: test, bloodwork, X-rays done in the same building is a big plus for me. Drs and staff are always polite, professional and ready to listen and help when possible. The building is clean always
I couldn’t say a single bad thing about my experience. From start to finish I’ve had an incredible experience. The MAs Elizabeth and Astya were so sweet and compassionate. Dr. Howe and Dr. shereshevsky are very knowledgeable and great at what they do. I couldn’t be more impressed by this team
Dr. Ariel Dubin is outstanding. She listens carefully, explains every procedure clearly—including risks and results—and makes sure I understand each step. She’s very detailed, caring, and easy to talk to. She gave me a great sense of confidence throughout my visit.
I had my appointment for a cervical cancer screening. Carla took my vitals and had the routine questions to ask me. She was very professional, kind and genuine. NP Doreen Lata Kumar took her time and made sure to walk me through everything she was doing. I would like for her to be my new NP instead of the doctor that I have now if possible. Her assistant who was with her (I don’t remember her name) was also very professional and moved quickly any time NP needed anything. My experience was very positive and everyone had great personalities! We even had a few laughs while they worked. Thank you for making my appointment so comfortable with your awesome team. 🥰
I gave birth at Kaiser Permanente to my beautiful daughter. For this being my first birth, having no experience, not knowing what to expect. The nurses were amazing in labor&delivery and postpartum. They were super helpful, encouraged me to keep pushing even though I wanted to give up and my midwife Taylor was so nice and respectful. Three days after I got discharged, I had to get readmitted to postpartum due to me getting preeclampsia and once again the nurses were amazing especially my last nurse I had before I got discharged. I had to get a blood patch and my nurse was there with me through the whole procedure held my hand and was super comforting i can’t remember her name although I wish I could. But yeah I wouldn’t have wanted my first birth experience any other way. Definitely recommend and I hope other patients have the same experience.
Everything was great, from start to finish. I did experience one unpleasant thing, the nurse setting up my IV went right through the vein in my right hand. Wasn't too painful, but she sure was reluctant to try again. The bruise is almost gone. Enjoyed my conversations with Tyler while we were waiting for the room to be available, Dr. Khan was pleasant and I appreciate his comment that I am a good historian. My admitting nurse was wonderful. Everyone made me feel comfortable and the process went well, even though I wasn't awake for the actual colonoscopy process. Big thanks to all involved! Terrific experience (except for the home prep) thanks again!
I came down from comp and was able to walk right in to an appointment that day. Brooke at the front desk was extremely professional and loving. She immediately got me in the system and gave me compassion and meet my needs above and beyond. Vanette was the one who did my cast. Super professional and meet all my needs. She made this difficult time for me a memorable experience. People like Brooke and Vanette deserve some type of recognition because they went above and beyond for me and made a lasting impact. I am super grateful for their help. Not sure if a patient can but I would love to recommend them for a daisy award. We need more people like them in health care. I can’t say enough good things about them. The doctor was great as well super direct and efficient. I actually felt heard and cared for with this department. Thank you all!!! Especially Brooke and Vanette!!!
Eddie at the MRI machine keep me informed of what to expect and things ran smoothly; I was impressed with him and the young lady that got me prepared and brought me back. The entire staff was excellent. In fact, I heard back from my doctor the next morning and the referral office that afternoon, doubt you can do better than that.
If there was a way to put zero stars I would. I have never had any issues with this facility, but do NOT go to Dr. Sarkis Malkhassian!!! I went in to see him about a serious issue I’ve been having. He was so rude and unprofessional. He treated me like I was a stupid woman and because I was not a doctor I couldn’t possibly have any understanding of my body. It was the most shameful experience to say the least. He cut me off when I would try to explain things to him and basically told me to go home because I’m just a women with hormones. He was also rude to his nurse that was in the room with me talking down to her as well. I have never written a review about a doctor but felt I had to warn others not to waste your time with him. There are good doctors at this facility but he is not one of them!
This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. My husband had extreme shortness of breathes and we still waited over hour and a half to get things in motion. They didn't communicate with me or him and wheeled him away in his wheelchair before I could protest, then was told to go to the waiting room. He was given 2 COVID tests. He was almost given a second EKG. He has been waiting hours to get his results and again I am denied to see him because he was "getting an IV" which had been done for hours. This place is ran horribly or is extremely understaffed, has awful communication, and should not deny people from seeing their loved ones.
Went in for labor in December. They didnt have a room available for me until the last hour when I started pushing. The anesthesiologist failed at putting in my epidural so I felt everything. The doctor's were rude. I had to go into surgery after labor and didnt update my husband at all as to what was happening with me. Once I was in our room for rest, he finally got updated by me, not any staff. It was 8pm and we were exhausted. We finally had time to rest but staff came in and out of the room every hour, turning all lights on, waking baby, me and dad every time. Once midnight hit, they said they're moving us to a different room. Exhausted. They couldn't have us rest even a bit. Once in the other room, they removed my i.v. from the bag but didnt remove it from my arm. I was told they would remove it a few hours later but that never happened. The next afternoon they finally removed it but now I have a scar of the injection site. Staff still came into room every hour. I finally put out a DO NOT DISTURB sign to get some rest. And of course they still barge in. Husband was told that he can park up front to grab out belongings and bring into hospital, security told him no he had to go around. Husband was told to approve information for birth certificate and they would come back and bring us all important paperwork. They never did. We left that same night. Me being in pain, and staff being too incompetent, stressed me out way more than it should have. We called the next day asking when can we get the birth certificate information. They said they close at 3. We were never made aware of that. Finally once everything was approved, staff said we can get certificate at Stockton courthouse. Again, they were wrong. Kaiser had such an amazing prenatal team and gave me amazing care during my pregnancy, I thought Kaiser Hospital would be the same. No, its been issue after issue with them. And to top it all off, I had to contact the Doctor on my own to find out about aftercare in regards to my third degree tear. Nobody came up to me and gave me that information. I left home with an ice pack and nothing else to help me. Never again am I going back to Kaiser hospital and Im telling everyone I know to mever come here. Absolutely the worst, especially it being my first pregnancy. I expected so much more. Youre better off going to general hospital.
The doctor was really only interested in talking about my weight, and my ear is still clogged because he only took about 10 seconds for both ears in between talking to me about losing weight. No thanks. I’m not there for that. I have a primary for that. I have chronic ear problems, that’s why I go to a specialist- for my ears.
I have no idea why it has a 4.3 review. I had an appointment with Dr Howe, it didn't go as I hoped. I had hoped to stick with her, but I felt like my appointment was very rushed. I felt like I wasnt being heard. Everything was backed up with yes that will happen instead of lets examine the area. She didn't look or touch the area. She wouldn't let me explain my symptoms. She compared herself to me which made me feel less than. Drs are never avialable. You have to wait 3 months out to get checked. I have onky seen my primary OB 1 and the rest were random Drs. Kaiser used to be my favorite now I can't wait tk switch. Kaiser had to do better. Hire more MDs for the huge demand. I'm so sad because I used to love it here. I regret my decision.
6 hour minimum wait if u have a child with a broken ankle. There was no sense of urgency with the physician Utpal Udaykumar Inamdar. Second time we saw him it was a 15 minute wait he came out of a room smacking his lips and chewing like he was eating. I get physicians need breaks but on top of waiting 6 hours I also had to wait for the physician to finish his lunch. No backup physicians? No break out physicians? Why? Questions aren't being taken seriously. Also why are there urine test cups in the restroom with broken seals. Biohazard and unsanitary. Urine test cups should be given when needed not stored in a restroom for a free for all. There was zero sense of urgency for my child. They told him he needed a cast. It took 3 additional hours for a dam splint while he was there sitting in pain. Doctor said he would order Tylenol. Didnt happen. Explain to me why Healthcare is so expensive and the service degrades while we sit here having to deal with it. Doctor said he didnt have to miss a day of school. Didnt even want to write a note for the day we went to the ER. Disappointed.
I was induced here and gave birth Halloween morning. Me only giving 1 stars is because of the few nurses that took care of me and my delivery team. Everything else was a bad experience. As someone who doesn’t write bad reviews this hospital robbed me out of my delivery experience. From forgetting to putting my catheter in after my epidural letting me pee all over myself. The nurses I had during shift changes didn’t communicate properly, forgot to put the catheter in and I peed all over my bed. My epidural failed twice, they kept dismissing me when I said only half of my body was numb and I was in so much pain. My delivery team was great. Post partum I had the least compassionate nurses. Only a couple were sweet. I was in so much stress my baby wasn’t reacting well to the similac and same thing, dismissed me until the pediatrician noticed herself. I came here because everyone recommended me this hospital and i wanted to circumcise my baby. I was so fed up I wanted to go home and I told one of the nurses I don’t want to circumcise him anymore it will keep me here another day and she kept pressuring me how I should stay and circumcise him etc. also when getting released they messed up my paperwork and medication list. Oh and to add I’m not sure if it’s a hospital mistake but my son never received his social security, after 7 weeks I called and they told me he didn’t even have a number assigned to him. So there goes that I guess it just depends who you get that day. I’m glad for others they had good experience I really wish I could’ve said the same.
Thanh Tuyen Thi Huynh MD./Kaiser Modesto at Surgery Department I was ripped off in less than 5 minutes by $85 office visit to show me a few seconds from my CT scan from last year 2024 and told me that my umbilical hernia is too small and she's not going to do the surgery. I also have an femoral hernia from my C-section but she don't even examine me carefully, she only look at the umbilical hernia and she denied the surgery. I also have bowel obstruction, constipation and feeling full, bloated and heavy after eating and she understand that this is what I read online, but this is what I experience in my daily life and can also be related to hernia. She was not aware of my 3 previous high risk pregnancy and other 3 surgery I have in other country and she refused to respond to any other questions related to hernia and leave the office. I'm very upset regarding this visit, waste of time and money, instead she supposed to send a message to my primary physician, if she considered base on CT scan that my small umbilical hernia cannot be operated.
I would like to provide feedback about my recent visit with Dr. Margarett Howe. I left the appointment feeling that my concerns were not fully acknowledged. I felt rushed when I was asked, “Is there anything else?” even though I was still explaining my symptoms and worries. One of my main concerns was whether it is safe for me to return to work, especially since my baby is measuring 9 days behind in growth according to my chart. It seemed that this information was not reviewed during the visit, which made me feel even more unsure about my situation. When I asked about work safety, I was told that the provider worked 24 hours while pregnant. This comparison felt dismissive and did not consider my specific circumstances. I was not asked what kind of work I do—I operate a forklift and lift car parts, which are physically demanding tasks. I was hoping for guidance tailored to my actual job and health status. I understand that providers are busy, but empathy and individualized assessment are especially important during pregnancy. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and ensures that patients feel heard, supported, and assessed based on their unique situations. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns.
My sister went to Kaiser Modesto. We had the worst care in the world and the worst experience in the world. The nurses were very, very lazy. The service was terrible. They never answered the call lights when it was time for discharge we told them in advance that the doctor had discharged my sister two days prior but the social worker and patient care worker act, as though they couldn’t find the paperwork that first of all, they said that they were working on discharges, and to see what rehab rehabilitation hospital she can go to, and that there was sending in referrals to different facilities in the northern part of California the day of for us to leave there were no discharge paperwork. There was no orders for her to go to rehabilitation. We call back while we was there. We got four different social workers at each one said that they was new and they had to review the file. It was the most horrible experience in our life. We couldn’t leave my sister there at all we stayed there 24 hrs shifts.cause she was scared didn’t feel Secured frightened for her life. We talked to everybody that we could talk to that has some power trying to get my discharge at this time we still haven’t been able to do so although both doctors the hospital doctor the kidney doctor said she was ready for discharge and ready to be transported to Bakersfield California. I wouldn’t recommend Kaiser to anyone. They are the worst hospital in the world. They have the poorest Care in the world they had a couple of nurses that were very, very nice and very, very caring and tried the best accommodate us. Anyway they could other than that experience from the social workers to the caseworkers to the nurses I would rate them as a zero we’re going to change my Sister from Kaiser to a different insurance because Kaiser is nothing but a big building that looks good but isn’t worth the time they repeatedly took the same tests on my sister. That was the reason why they were holding her as we say hostage because the doctor said she was able to go every test they gave her. They repeated it every day and no, it was not necessary. It just was away for them to keep her there. I had to go out to the facilities And see if they have room for my sister and they said that they have been always and no referral have been sent to them. I know the social worker at Kaiser name was Lucy. She was horrible. She was rude and was no help at all. She passed my sister on to two different people Without us having any help or results. Laurel Foreman is the patient and I am her sister Lorene Ford and I am The one that’s writing this review because I was there for two weeks and one day
The doctor I saw most recently was terrible. She didn't give me the time of day because my issue wasn't exactly what she perceived from my phone appointment. She then did not care about why I was there. Her response to the reason I went in was "I dont know". No other recommendations no tests, just completely unwilling to hear me out or give me any sort of guidance on my issue. She basically said there is nothing wrong with me as if I dont know my own body, like I haven't lived in it for over 30 years. I'm tired of Kaiser. You can't get appointments and the doctors are getting worse and worse by the day. Also, both of my children's doctors have left now so there is no reason for me to stay any longer. I will be changing insurances next year. I do not recommend Kaiser to anyone who wants any real care.
