Walking in for lunch, we were greeted by a friendly host. She gave us a couple menus and explained once we're ready to order we would do so at the counter. Putting in a couple appetizers, we opted in for the kibbeh, baba ghanouj, and manakeesh (za'atar w. cheese). The kibbeh was seasoned and fried perfectly. The baba ghanouj was creamy and accompanied with a very nice and airy pita bread, and the manakeesh was wonderful. It reminded me of a sauceless cheese pizza with the middle eastern spices. For mains, we opted in for the Mashawi which included a trio of meats. Kofta, beef kabob and chicken. All three meats were nicely seasoned, but the star meat for us was the kofta. The side of hummus was nice, and the salad was nicely seasoned even before pouring the dressing over it. Also opting in for the lamb chops, I found these to be perfectly grilled and incredibly tender. These were grilled closer to a medium-well, but still remained juicy and packed full of flavor. We found our server and the kitchen employee (perhaps the owner) to be pleasant and full of hospitality. This small-from-the-outside restaurant blew us away and we enjoyed everything we had. We look forward to returning in the near future to try other items on their menu.
All the food was extremely fresh and you can tell that it’s made from scratch. Really good & authentic! The people working were very happy to have us and polite, every thing is very clean as well. There is a lot of variety for drinks including yogurt, glass coke and more
Always a wonderful place to stop by, the staff is always amazing (fast service, occasionally stopping by for a quick chat, offering free baklava and tea). The food is incredible, some of the best and most authentic Middle-Eastern/ Levant cuisine I’ve ever had. Notable standouts are the lamb kofta and gyro platter, both of which have become new addictions for me. Overall, a restaurant that deserves to be far and beyond more popular and successful than it currently is.
This place is just delightful. Every time I visit I feel like I'm treated as family. The team is so lovely and kind. The pita wraps are absolutely deliveries. As are the pastries. And it seems every time I visit, they bring out some additional treat for us. It is a joy to eat here. It may not look like much but the heart is in the people and the food.
I had a great experience at Babylon Middle Eastern Food. I ordered the chicken shawarma and the chicken thigh, and both were absolutely delicious—flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The portions were generous and clearly made with care. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was perfect, and even offered free drinks, which was such a nice touch. Amazing food and genuinely warm hospitality—I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others.
Delicious food at a great value! We had very comforting and flavorful manakeesh (zaatar and cheese plus the chicken one) and loved both. Lots of vegetarian options as well. I'd highly recommend!
The food is excellent. It's not a fancy place, you order from the counter, but they bring you your food. Usually some samples to taste. The people are very friendly and the service is great. Highly recommended.
The most delicious, juicy lamb chops I have ever tasted! If you are on a lower salt diet, I recommend ordering the tasty Lentil Soup plus the lamb chop entree. The chicken kebabs are good, but on the saltier side.
We ordered catered food for a holiday office party. The price was good and the food was amazing! We had more than enough, and the staff and owner were very helpful and provided amazing customer service. I highly recommend Babylon!
Babylon Restaurant was excellent! My wife said it was the best falafel she’s ever had. We both loved the Tabouli salad , the Chicken Shawarma, and the owner kindly brought us some complimentary tea and tasty dessert samples. Thank you so much!
Really enjoy this place. The owner and employees are extremely kind and patient. They actually show excitement with every customer which is very refreshing. The food is really top notch. We've been here a few times and have nothing bad to say. The food is as fresh as could be and very flavorful. We'll be back again soon for sure.
Try anything lamb, it’s cooked to perfection and it falls off the bone. The portions are excellent too. The veggies were fresh and overall everything tasted authentic Well almost, the white bean soup wasn’t great, tasted like out of a can But in general great prices and authentic tasty food

Best restaurant I've been to in Rochester. Authentic, fresh, and absolutely perfect. I had the veggie combo plate and it could make me a vegetarian! The baklava was perfectly fresh and soft as butter. The young lady who took my order was sweet and very attentive. I'll be back soon!
Stopped in for lunch. Food was fantastic! Service was attentive and polite. I had the shawarma plate and my wife had the mashawi. Both were great. The place was empty when we arrived. The ambiance leaves a little to be desired, screams "American Strip Mall Special." But, when the food is this good, who cares? Will definitely return!
Ordered takeout and the falafel and pita bread were the best! The pita went so well with the hummus and the falafel was crispy and soft. Would come again if I lived in the area!
Great food, we ordered two dishes and both tasted great! The lettuce soup tastes amazing. They also gave each table a plate of dessert from the house! The dessert is also great, not too sweet like normal American dessert, which suits us perfect! Strongly recommended to all!
We stopped by Babylon Restaurant in Henrietta, and it was a fantastic experience! Tucked in a small plaza with convenient front parking, this spot is a hidden gem that’s open from early-ish morning (10A) until late, making it super accessible. The menu offers an excellent variety, and everything is made from scratch with care and flavor. We tried the veggie combo plate and za’atar manakeesh—both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To finish, we had their Turkish coffee, which came with a piece of house-made baklava—a perfect, sweet touch to end the meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, homemade Middle Eastern food in a relaxed and welcoming setting!
We absolutely love this place! Everything is delicious! We tried Pamplona fish in our last visit along with Zaatar manakeesh. The owner is very polite and hardworking. The waitress young lady from Ukraine is the best waitress I have ever seen. They also brought us cardamom tea at the end! Thank you Babylon!
Authentic Iraqi/Middle Eastern cuisine is served here. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the service is fast. There is ample parking. The owner gave us free desserts and a jug of hot tea.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, everything is cooked to perfection! one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester! On my way there right now :) I love this place. Not to mention that people that work there are warm and kind which makes it even better.
First of all I loved the fact that this place is halal since I’ve been having a hard time finding spiced food as a Muslim since I came for college. The food here was honestly great, it was flavored well where it wasn’t not too much but also not too little. The chicken kebab for the platter I got had a hint of lemon taste which I really enjoyed. It was really chewy, bur I didn’t mind. Plus the portion of the food I got (it came with soup as well) was very surprising. I also got tea and the kettle was full of at least 4 cups, it was very relaxing. The person who accommodated us and works at the front is very friendly and respectful. Everyone seemed to do their own thing and I liked how peaceful it was. Me and my friend were there for quite some time since we eat slow and were there to celebrate, but no one said anything or was in a rush for us to leave. I honestly loved this place. I would come again with more friends, they have great food at a reasonable price and lovely service. 10/10 rec!
This was our first time visiting and ordering food at the recommendation of a friend. She was right, the Mediterranean food (Syrian I believe) was very tasty. The young woman behind the counter who took our order and brought our food to the table was an absolute delight. She understands customer service, and we really appreciated that. 👍
Not your typical restaurant, but the food is amazing. The kabobs were great. Baklava tasted very fresh. Dolma and baba ghanouj were good too! Will go back.
The quantity was more than enough for the price. The rice was yummy, and the chicken was tender. However, the kebab and beef pieces were hard and dry. My husband had the lamb shank platter, which was good; the meat was soft and juicy. Overall, it was a good experience.
I went here for dinner with a friend and the food was okay. The place itself was very nice and the woman at the counter and the gentleman who cooked the food were all very nice. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was okay, but not great. I would come back again but would definitely try something different. The guy did recommend the shish kebab so maybe I will try that next time and update my review accordingly. Having been to other places like Cedar, Shawarma restaurant, Arian’s. etc. I’m used to good Shawarma and that just didn’t quite fit the bill. Also important to note, this place does have a parking lot but it’s really small with several other businesses that occupy that lot as well. Finding a spot may be difficult during peak business hours.
