I would highly recommend CJ’s. We enjoyed a delicious lunch here recently. Staff are really friendly and professional, the place is spotlessly clean and there is a great range of items on the menu which are very reasonably priced. Portions were generous, really well presented and my sandwich even came with a huge bowl of freshly cut fruit! Great place, thanks CJ’s.

Absolutely excellent fresh chicken salads. Great atmosphere, clean and friendly. Best in Moorpark for salads, wraps, and everything else on the menu. If you've never been you got to try it!

Love this place. My go to is the apple Walnut tuna sandwich but the salad is just as good. Come hungry or go home. Servings are generous and presentation here is fantastic. Service is always good and their baked goods are delicious.

My 5 stars are for the 2 employees handling all of the customers on Sunday 5/1/22. (The establishment and their food was average.) The girl that was taking orders and running food was impressive! The gentleman making the food just kept his head down and was trying to keep up with the ticket orders. But hats off to the girl because they were definitely short staffed and she was doing the best that she could, running around the whole place while still smiling and giving good customer service to everyone! She made ordering so simple for me which I appreciated. Because it was my first time there, I was too hungry to look over options and so I went with what she recommended. *TL;DR: redheaded girl working is a beast! The cook was doing his best to keep up. They worked so hard they deserve recognition for their efforts. They get 5 stars, the food and place gets 2.5 stars. I was heading towards Oxnard when I decided to pullover to get food. It was around 1 pm, I had been driving all morning with nothing to eat and it just got to the point where I had to pull over to get food in my system. After a quick food search on my phone CJ’s urban cafe was the first thing that popped up so I went for it. I didn’t want to overthink where to eat, again I was too hungry to take the time to do that! I was hoping for something quick but unfortunately that wasn’t the case but not the staffs fault. -The food : basil chicken panini, it was ok. I was hoping for the food to be a healthier option. (I count my calories and macros) It reminded me of field trip food that you get in grade school. Lol! After eating, the food made me bloated and it felt like I cheated on my diet. -The place was awkwardly quiet, nobody really was speaking unless you were ordering, no music, the lights were turned off, and because they were short staffed the food took a while to come out, and you can see little things were getting neglected like the trash cans being full. But I really tried to look past all of this because it was hard to watch the staff keep up. And so I sat down and tried my best to be patient and not think about my hunger or the uneasiness going on inside the restaurant. I was really hoping that it wouldn’t get to the point that someone would start giving the staff a hard time about the wait because you can almost sense it coming.

Really good Italian sandwich. The chicken sandwich was good flavor but executed in an odd fashion. Since everything is sliced thin the sandwich fell apart and wasn't easy to eat.

One of our favorite local eateries! Great menu, competitive prices, friendly staff. One bonus is pet-friendly dining at the outdoor tables near the fountain. For vegetarians like me there's a good selection of menu items, for example the Sonoma Veggie Wrap and the Veggie Flatbread Pizza.

Nice café, great food. Good for either sitting with coffee and a pastry, breakfast or lunch.

Our go to after church. Italian panini was so I bought an extra one to go. My grandson orders the turkey Reuben on pretzel bread every time we visit. Also had the chicken enchilada soup - excellent

Fantastic sandwiches and wraps. I like how I can call them and get my food to go super fast and super fresh. Apple Walnut Tuna on marble rye is so good. Frozen yogurt to end the meal with fresh berries is a great finish to this experience. If in Moorpark you should check it out!

I would NEVER have guessed the food was this good based on the atmosphere/logo design of the place. I had some kind of BBQ chicken wrap and it was AMAZING - gooey with tons of cheese, the perfect amount of sweetness from the bbq sauce, chewy black beans and chicken, and cilantro for some tang. Chocolate-peanut butter-banana smoothie was also amazing. Only thing I would change is I wish they had some other chip or side options with the wraps. The tortilla chips were just okay.

So many tasty combinations blending herbs and flavors. Tough to not be tempted by desserts as well. Friendly attentive atmosphere, yet relaxed. A little pricey yet a good treat.

Do you appreciate a restaurant that serves consistently great sandwiches? Here is your place. This was my favorite place until I moved away pre-pandemic. I recently returned for a work week and it's the same great place and the owner has kept a high standard for upkeep. Sadly, not the same size lunch crowd, I remember when it was hard to get a table. But I guess that's the result of a hybrid work week. I just took a co-worker here for lunch and he said, "Wow, I have to come back here." Yes, I do.

Get ready for the best lunch of your life ... The wraps, paninis, and sandwiches are all one-of-a-kind and delicious. Great smoothies, pastries, and breakfast too. I've eaten here for many years and have never found a cafe like this one. Great atmosphere and friendly service too. Highly recommend

Excellent service from the staff. We tried the pesto tomato chicken wrap and poblano chicken wrap. The poblano chicken wrap was a solid southwest BBQ wrap. We would like to explore more of the extensive menu next time. Bonus that they have cherry Coke in their soda fountain.

CJ’s is A Good Clean Cafe and Delicious Food I always get their breakfast egg&cheese avocado sandwich and it’s always so tasty. I don’t know how to get their eggs so right and serve with a nice portion of fruit and the service is Great Very Friendly and Nice recommend the food here !

The apple walnut tuna is a favorite with me and my friends.. Marble rye bread.. Smoothies. Rustic tomato soup is good comfort food every time with any sandwich.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. The walnut tuna salad was a little disappointing.

The actual latitude & longitude of the business are different than the coordinates currently recognized by for that address. By looking at Yelp, Mapquest, Bing, & Google, it appears that small street dividing the block isn't recognized yet. So, if you want to Check In, mock your locality or do it by Target. :-)

Good food but extremely slow service. The need more than two people making sandwiches, especially during the rush. Also google maps lists this in the wrong location.

Not sure what kind of Cafe doesn't have internet - but CJs fits right in. Food selection is good and of the healthier type - it seems like a Panera's with a bit more selections for food and deserts without the great selection of teas - though their large sodas cost just as much (~$3.50) and without the internet.

I used to love this place when I was Camille's. Had not been in a very long time had a craving for what used to be my favorite veggie wrap. Nothing like I remembered it from Camille's the dressing was really just mustard, not really dressing. Terrible value for the money. Over $17 with tax just for the wrap. I did not buy any beverage

Not adhering to covid safety protocols. Used to be a regular go to. Walked out the last two times due to preparing a customers order without a mask or gloves. Actually the mask was worn below his chin. Do better

Horrible!! I went there Sunday afternoon, was a girl who didn't know how to prepare the coffee, another guy who was just complaining about everything!!!! Took them about 30 min to prepare a coffee which was awful!!!!! Btw the place was alone, was only me waiting..... disappointed 😔!!!

I never leave reviews but I had to because one of the workers was super rude and gave attitude when I asked nicely if there was a possibility if they could remake my friends panini due to a severe allergy reason (thankfully, they caught it on time and didn’t take a bite). This worker instantly was rude about it and refused to remake it because they said “I told your friend what was in it and they didn’t say anything” when we did ask and most likely skipped it over or it was likely forgotten to be mentioned when he was telling him, I don’t know because I didn’t order it. Its not like I was asking for it to be remade because my friend didn’t like it a certain way but because of an ALLERGY condition, something out of his control. Imagine if an accident did happen where the paramedics had to show up because that worker refused to remake a panini. There was no need to be rude about it. Never going here again.
