We came here with our grandson when he was 11. We pulled up, he saw the sign, and said, "Can we go to the dam overlook?" "I want to go to the dam snackbar." "I have to use the dam bathroom!" And, "Can I sit in the dam chair?" He's 21, and in the Navy now, and everytime we visit we send him a picture. His last reply was, "I'm glad to see the dam place is still kicking!"
Great little park with a nice snack bar and clean bathrooms. Perfect rest stop when passing through on small roads.
Had some good dam ice cream and fries. It was nice.
Their french fries are amazing!

Ice cream is good but be aware, although they don’t post it any where, they will charge you more for the paper container they put the ice cream in. Pretty manipulative business practice with their “junk fees”.

Die Kaffee-Maschine würde ich nicht empfehlen. Hatte aus Versehen den Knopf für heißes Wasser gedrückt .... das Wasser hatte vor allem schwarzen Dreck drin. Auf den Kaffee habe ich dann lieber verzichtet.
"Dined" here for convenience when leaving the park. I got the highest priced and worst "Grilled Chicken Sandwich" I've ever had. I'm guessing it was precooked - maybe frozen? It was served plain with no side. It was $8.25. I had ate at Caroline's at the other end of the the park twice and had a wonderful dining experience with great food, service, location, and decor that was reasonably priced. So my guard was down for this bend over tourist experience.
COFFEE - BAD HYGIENE OCT 17, 2023. I paid for three cups of coffee. I was brewing my own Keurig coffee when I noticed that the water tank had green algae in it. I threw everything in a garbage can and walked out of there empty-handed.
