Opiniones de Crosswalk Coffeehouse & Cafe New Braunfels
This was our first visit here. Don’t be discouraged by paying to park it was literally $2 for 2 hrs. We had the bacon jam burger, shrimp and grits, a latte and regular coffee. All our food was excellent and served quickly. We sat outside. The weather was perfect, patio gives perfect people watching. We will be back!
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal, probably one of the best Brunch places we have visited in the area! I ordered the Mess Around Hash and my hubby got the Special - Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya. We accompanied our meal with a crisp Mimosa - everything was delicious and we loved sitting outside during our visit 😁 We will definitely return!
Fantastic brunch here today service was top draw, clean and great looking place in and out. The breakfast hash was faultless, loads of choices all day. Price point was fair especially being in the center of town.
Lovely place … great atmosphere. Everything we’ve ordered has been delicious including the espresso drinks. A spot I like to take guests from out of town for breakfast.
This place is great! We’ve lived here for 3 years and somehow haven’t noticed it yet — it’s a bit tucked away in the circle! Great food for the most part, one of the sandwiches we ordered was supposed to be toasted but came out a bit cold. The fries were so flavorful and so good! The bacon jam burger was great too, the bun wasn’t too soggy and the burger was cooked just right. We sat outside and loved people and car watching. Loved the music they played and the service was great! Will definitely have to come back to try the brunch.
This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants to go to in downtown NBTX! My favorite dish for breakfast is the Mess Around Hash. Absolutely delicious and plenty left overs because the serving is generous. They also have a latte called the Caramel Monkey that is so good. I'm always treated with a smile and hospitality, and coupled with the historic building it makes this place an absolute gem. Highly recommend!
I hardly ever leave reviews for restaurants, but I just have to! The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. Our waitress was so sweet and kind, and just gave off a very nice energy. Our other server was super sweet too, and very accommodating! The food was very good, and came pretty quickly. And the reason that I am writing this review, as silly as it sounds, is because of the Parmesan Grits!! When I tell you, they were so good that I almost cried. They were so good that I decided to write an entire review for the restaurant. My only bad experience here was that there were no more grits in my bowl after I ate them all… And the worst part is that I had no more room left within me to order more!😂 Seriously, I wish I could order more…😔 If you are ever in the area, please be sure to come try it out! And please, try the grits. I’m not joking, they changed my life.😭🥹
This place is awesome! I rarely find pleasure or interest with breakfast. This breakfast defied all expectation! My wife and I found their Creole egg breakfast and grits and sausage to be the best we have ever experienced ( even from when I’ve eaten in Houston and New Orleans). The atmosphere was very beautiful and southern. Greatly exemplified a part of southern food, atmosphere and location that we miss! We are headed back tomorrow morning to experience their breakfast again!
Amazing Hidden Gem! My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. The restaurant has a mom and pop "homey" feeling. The waiter, Landon, did a great job of making us feel welcome. We let him pick out meals, and the food blew us away. The hash potatoes were cooked to perfection with bits of bacon and sauteed onions. My wife and a delicious meatloaf. I had eggs with a delightful aioli house sauce. We talked to the owner and look forward to another breakfast at her establishment 😁
Even while busy and getting ready to close, everything was tasty, timely, and friendly to the whole family. Poached eggs and salmon barely made it long enough for any photo, and the coffee was also superb. I prefer a smooth dark roast and it hit the spot. Kids were happy with the food enough to sit and eat somewhat quietly and finish nearly all of the pancakes. Highly recommend and look out for parking near the bank off the side street.
We had a great time eating breakfast on their front porch. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was perfect. My wife had a traditional breakfast and the eggs and potatoes were on point. The service was great as well as the people were so friendly and attentive. Well definitely be back.
Good Lord! This was SUCH a hidden gem! My GOODNESS the food was amazing! We started with the deviled eggs which were the BOMB 💣.... not sure what the between sauce was, but it elevated these to a level I've never experienced with deviled eggs. The jalapeno cornbread was phenomenal! We had the Cajun meatloaf and fried chicken. Chicken cooked to perfection and so crispy! The mashed potatoes were crazy good, the black eyed peas were stellar! Y'all know you need to be in here on New Year's Day to get those black eyed peas! The collard greens look good but I don't eat those. Even with only two people working, the service was amazing and fast. Do. Not. Sleep. On. This. Place. The hot chocolate looked amazing, the kolaches were something of perfection I've never seen before. I was going to get one to take home for breakfast, but I was just too stuffed. But I'll be back for that! If I had one critique, it would be that fried chicken had a little more flavor. It does come with mushroom gravy, but I don't eat gravy so I left that off.
First time eating here and loved it! Had the chicken pesto ciabatta and wow, the bread is so light and delicious and this sandwich just tastes fresh! Love that they serve fruit on the side. Also enjoyed their cranberry pecan muffin and again, wow! Such light and warm homemade goodness! My husband enjoyed The Cuban. They have the best service and cozy atmosphere. We will be back!!
The coffee is good but I feel very expensive. The food is also yummy but I feel a little limited in choices. But the service was wonderful and we went there for a girls benched we sat and enjoyed having girls time for almost 2 hours and they never once pressured us to move or order more! (Granted it was a week day and not busy but still we so appreciated the space!)
We came for Sunday brunch and had a 10 minute wait after putting our name in. Very cute place and friendly workers. An area for improvement is definitely attentiveness from waiters. We had to ask for straws, silverware, refills, and our check. This may have been because we were seated in the other inside area and most patrons were outside or because they were short staffed, also not sure how long they have been open. The food was really tasty. Pictured is the Cajun Rggs Benedict, their Bloody Mary and the brunch burger with the egg (I forgot the name).
Service was awesome! Also, the mimosas were delicious. However, we were not impressed with the food. Pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw were dry. Bacon gravy tasted off. However. The croissant was soft and buttery, and the breakfast potatoes tasty. This is a good place to go, sit outside, drink mimosas, and eat breakfast pastries.
Went for a brunch recently. Food was decent and decently priced. But the service was not that great. Took us a while to get seated because they could not figure out if the outside heat lamps were working. Lots of people looked confused and no one really taking initiative. We ended up getting a table because a group changed their minds and decided to leave. We saw that happen to two groups so be mindful the service is a bit slow. Only go if you’re not in a hurry. It’s got charm though.
The server was sweet and hospitable. I got the shrimp and grits. I’m from New Orleans, so I know I have higher standards than most on what’s good shrimp and grits. But the food wasn’t hot. It was room temperature at best. I didn’t expect that. She quickly warmed it up for me in the microwave. But yeah, it tasted like it had been sitting for a while.
