Absolutely fantastic. The fried chicken was THE BEST EVER! And the short ribs were also the best we have had. Also, the coldest glass of beer I’ve ever had. They do an amazing job infusing flavor into the food. The food pairs incredibly well with their Suntori Whiskey. It is so smooth and mild with a great flavor .

Came randomly on a Tuesday afternoon. I got 10pc wings and a lemonade. I got half soy garlic and half hot spicy. The food came out lightning fast and was honestly very delicious! Each wing had a shatteringly crisp coating, crunching distinctly in my mouth and giving way to the juicy, tender, and flavorful meat within. I liked the spicy wings better than the soy garlic, but both were awesome. The soy garlic had a savory, slightly sweet flavor that complemented the chicken well, whereas the hot spicy ones had a bold savory kick (tasted like gochujang to me) which helped balance the richness of the chicken and elevate the experience. As of writing this review, they offer all you can eat fried chicken and beer for $32! I'll definitely come back and try this another time, genuinely a great deal considering how good the chicken is. I couldn't seem to find hours on this place, so I asked my server, and she said they open at 12pm and close between 11pm and 2am depending on the day/traffic.

One of the few rare places left in the city where the deal is actually worth it. The chicken and beer combo is frankly unbeatable in the city. The chicken is all made to order and super fresh. There are several options to choose from such as soy garlic, Cajun, garlic Parm and others. The beer is Sapporo and comes super cold. When it's busy it can be a bit slow to get a refill but understanable.

Ordered the catering package for holiday party and everything arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The flavors were incredible and the presentation was excellent. Our guests loved it. Highly recommend Boka for any event or gathering.

The best place for KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN! The chicken wings are always delicious and crisp on the outside. The service was quick and helpful. They even let my dog in (I asked them before going in and they approved but they did wonder how big my dog is. We had a Maltipoo so it’s a small dog). Atmosphere was chill! I’d definitely recommend this spot. I’ll be back this Friday LOL

Boka is the kind of spot you keep coming back to. The fried chicken is insanely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—each drumstick is packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The cheese fries were fully loaded and hit all the right comfort food notes, and the spicy tteokbokki added just the right kick to the table. What makes it even better? Pairing it all with a bottle of chilled sake and some good company. The vibe here is relaxed but lively, perfect for casual hangouts or late-night bites. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Korean fried chicken and comforting sides that hit the spot every time.

(Cash only) The G.O.A.T fried chicken joint has been revived like a phoenix! For folks in the know, Boka used to be a hotspot on St. Marks. When the restaurant closed, I remember folks going on their social media page asking about any updates for its return. Safe to say, the wait was worth it. The soy chicken was delectably crunchy and juicy. The kimchi pancake was also very satisfying. Of course the watermelon juice was refreshing as always. Eating this meal was truly a source of comfort. This is a great place to go for a family style meal!

Great chicken great service. Spicy chicken, crispy and cheesy rice cake was fried on the skin(i forgot to take picture), kimchi or radish comes separately ordered as sides, galbi was yummy and kimchi fried rice was tangy. Fun bathroom lights and great savory salad. No paper towels but dryer provided good toilet paper and fun window

They’re Back—and Better Than Ever! I’ve been a loyal Boka Chicken fan for years, ever since their St. Mark’s days. When the pandemic lockdown started to ease up, Boka was the first restaurant I RAN to. After all that time indoors, I knew exactly where I wanted to eat—and they delivered, like always. That says everything about how much this place means to me. When they closed, I was devastated. Nothing—and I mean nothing—comes close to their Korean Fried Chicken. So when I found out they’d reopened just around the corner on 2nd Ave, I made a beeline for the new spot. The moment I walked in, Johan recognized me instantly. That meant the world. He welcomed me like family, gave me a personal tour of the new space, and made sure everything was perfect. That’s just who he is: someone who cares deeply about his customers and takes pride in every single detail, from the food to the vibe of the space. And let’s talk about that chicken. Still undefeated. Still the G.O.A.T. Competitors can’t touch Boka’s signature recipe—crispy, flavorful, perfectly balanced, addictive. They’ve also got great drinks and other Korean comfort food favorites to round out the meal. The new location is sleek, stylish, and easy to get to—especially if you’ve been a fan from the beginning. Bonus shoutout to the bathroom: the lighting is a whole vibe (trippy in the best way). Welcome back, Boka. You’ve been missed. And Johan—thank you for keeping the spirit alive. You didn’t just reopen a restaurant… you brought back a piece of home.

This is the best sushi on the upper west side. The steak was very tender and flavorful, I had to order a second serving. The kimchi fried rice had the perfect kick and the japchae had fresh vegetables that balanced out all the flavors. Our waiter, Joe gave us great recommendations and I cant wait to go back a second time. Amazing food and amazing service!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic. My favorite dishes were the crispy soy garlic and spicy fried chicken. The fried rice, bulgogi, shrimp tempura, and tuna roll were also excellent. Portions were generous, more than enough for myself and my group. The staff and owner were incredibly hospitable. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Very cozy and very worth the price. Unlimited beer and wings with 4 sauces per round is an incredible deal. Best sauces were hot and spicy and the soy garlic sauce. A group of 7 with 3 appetisers was $336 and was essentially $48 per person. This is definitely worth coming to and everyone in the group enjoyed their time. The waiter is very good and there is something for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be coming back here, some of the best food.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here. We both got the AYCE chicken/beer and it was well worth it. Chicken was flavorful and super crispy. I recommend the soy garlic. Beer was plentiful as well. Service was quick as well given how busy it was. 90 minute time limit for AYCE so come hungry and be ready to eat!

Stumbled upon this place while searching for a Korean restaurant. I mistakenly entered a sushi restaurant that is located at the same address, keep in mind that it’s not at the corner, it’s a bit further down the street. This spot is a cash only business. The chicken fried rice had great flavor, chicken wings had an amazing crispy outer layer, steamed buns were also good. The restaurant had a great music playlist as well. I enjoyed my first experience here.

Ill preface with it being cash only is a big drawback. That said- The Instagram algorithm got me and I couldn't be more pleased. Stopped by for the all you can eat chicken and beer - the garlic parm and buffalo were dope, hot spicy is way spicy. The chicken was crispy, crunchy and super juicy.

Came here for the fried chicken and wow… this might actually be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perfect crunch, super juicy, and dangerously addictive. The owner was so warm and ưelcoming, even gave us two extra watermelon soju shots just because. Good food, good energy, no regrets. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to. 🍗🍉✨

I come here for the bottomless chicken and beer with my buddies. It's super good and some of the best Korean Fried Chicken I've had. The chicken is super crispy and cooked perfect, the glaze is really good, and it's served super fresh and hot. I recommend the Soy or the Spicy Soy, but a heads up that the Spicy Soy is actually pretty spicy so don't get too much initially if you're unsure. The garlic parmesan is my next favorite which I would also recommend. The cocktails are also a great price and enjoyable. If coming here, remember to bring cash since they are a cash-only restaurant.

Came for their AYCE Korean fried chicken and AYCD Sapporo beer - 1.5 hrs limit ($32 pp). Can only order combos for AYCE instead of all wings. Chicken is crispy tho The service was reallyyy slow for both chicken and beer refills - there was only one server working for like 6 tables 😭 felt bad for him. We only had time to order twice, but I was full after - Soy garlic: 9/10, fav flavor - Sweet chili: 8/10 - Garlic Parmesan: 3/10 - Lemon pepper: 2/10 - Fries: 5/10, avg

Cash Only restaurant, be sure to visit a ATM before. The food was definitely worth the time and was very savory with lots of options particularly chicken and spicy dishes. Environment was also great with closeness to the subway and also lots of attractions nearby. Much recommended dinner and date spot.

I ate at this place last night. The chicken was really good. Super dense, thick crust, very juicy, and well seasoned. The half soy, half hot was good for me. The wings were a little juicier and more tender than the drumsticks, so I'd lean towards wings next time. I paid around $26 to $28 for a beer, six wings, and three drumsticks. Could have gotten thirty wings. Overall, a good experience.

Great experience at Boka/Nonaka the other day. I was impressed by the beautiful decoration - you can see 2 places in one with the option to order authentic Japanese sushi -with authentic Korean fried Chicken when sit upstairs at Boka. They were busy but we didn't wait long for the food. Chicken was very good and crispy.
