Opiniones de Café d'Avignon New York
Lovely café with delicious pastries and excellent coffee! Everything tasted fresh and beautifully made. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and efficient. A perfect spot for a relaxed coffee break — highly recommend.
Cafe D’Avignon is one of my favorite Italian pastry and bakery spots in New York City, and easily the best in the Little Italy and Chinatown area. Many nearby bakeries source their pastries from here, which really says it all. This is the quintessential classic Italian pastry shop and a must-visit when you’re in Little Italy. The pastries are absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent. Everything was so good that we ended up buying extras to take home. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and truly adds to the experience. Highly recommended. Scale (1–10): Food: 9 Price: 8 Service: 10 Atmosphere: 10 Cleanliness: 9
Cafe d’Avignon is totally my CHEERS! I stop in most days to get my coffee and breakfast because both are delicious. I’ve been hooked on the Quiche Lorraine for at least two years. Admittedly, I crave it when I’m at home and not going into the office! The croissants and other offerings are actually all delish as well. And the staff always provide wonderful service, especially Juarez. I’d be lost without my weekly visits!
I recently visited this cafe and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The customer service was great from the moment I walked in; everyone was friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to Mary, who ensured every customer felt welcome. I ordered their turkey BLT, and it was delicious. The bread was perfect—fresh and the right texture—and all the ingredients were well-balanced, creating a truly satisfying bite. Overall, great food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by!

This is that type of place where you become family highly recommended they’ve ended that area. Please stop by and check them out.
Absolutely delicious! We both had the avocado toast – honestly, probably the best I’ve ever had. 😍 We also shared a pain au chocolat, which was amazing, and the vanilla latte is a must-try! I’d come back here anytime. The location right next to the Moxy Hotel is perfect – especially for hotel guests, since you get a $20 daily voucher per room. Definitely worth a visit!
I found out about Cafe D'Avignon from to good to go. The pastries and bread are absolutely amazing. Their sourdough loaf is crusty, flaky, and chewy. Their almond pastry, very flaky, buttery, the almond filling is delicious and not too sweet. Because of too good to go, I actually come here to buy pastries and coffee. Everything is very good
The best almond croissant I've had in the U.S. Ever. The quality of pastry, quality of baking to a perfect texture and crunch and the amazing almond topping and filling are the best I've had here. The one thing I would improve: the chairs are metal, scraping on concrete without sliders. Deafening. The service is great. Highly recommend take out.
Always a pleasant experience at café d’avignon! Everything I tried is delicious, the coffee is very good.. the baristas are well trained and know how to make good espresso drinks. The staff is the nicest and the most pleasant. If you are in the neighborhood and want to grab a quick bite or have coffee, definitely check it out!
Love the vibes of this place, calm with a lot of seat space to be in Times Square and the staff was so welcoming! The best part is that they also close late to be a coffee shop so 10/10 The taste of the coffee 😍 the cookie 😍😍 I can’t wait to be more hungry and come back to eat the salty options! PS: the people who stays at the Koch hotel has a discount so if you stay there be sure to use your discount and try this amazing place!
This feels too good to be in such an urban area. It’s quite small and I wouldn’t come here to sit down, although you can at a few small high tables… but the food and drinks are excellent and the fresh bread is divine. Easily one of my favorite cafes in the area! Service is extremely prompt and perhaps overly professional, not really very amiable, but very proper. Not a real issue just a note. Get anything in a croissant and you’ll leave happy; or try the cakes.
A great place to stop in the morning for delicious pastries and coffee. I particularly like the scones (especially the bacon cheddar), coconut chocolate croissant, quiche, and baguettes for lunch. Coffee is great quality as well and the environment is cheerful with free samples always on display. Just try not to go every day or you’ll spend a lot of money.
This is a bakery in midtown Manhattan, just 2 blocks north of Macy’s, and is close to the subway station (34th street, yellow line). The environment is nice and spacious, the staff are very helpful and friendly. I have ordered several pieces of bakery and took away. The French apple tart is delicious.
Love their pastries. Got this mini egg sandwich that was not good at all though. They make their syrups for coffee in house! Very good flavor. No bathrooms and only hightop seating available
A taste of Paris in the rush of Grand Central. The pain au chocolat is buttery, crisp, and layered with precision — one of the best grab-and-go pastries in Midtown. Staff are efficient and kind, and the packaging feels upscale. It’s quick, refined indulgence for commuters who appreciate real technique.
transparently i got this through a tgtg order so i knew i wasn't getting the freshest pastries but for the price this was definitely worth it! i got an almond croissant (not the best ive ever had but did the job), olive oil chocolate bread (couldn't finish because it was too rich for me), and a whole loaf of raisin/nut bread (yum!)
Over Charged My wife and I stopped into Cafe D'Avignon for a quick breakfast snack. The place was crowded, which is not surprising at 9:00 am in NYC. There was some confusion in the ordering area and the line did not flow well. After we left the cafe I asked my wife what she ordered to drive up the price. Once we talked about our order we realized that we were over charged by $6+. It was not worth the time to try to haggle over a relatively small amount of money in a crowded cafe but it is always frustrating to be overcharged. To food itself was good but nothing special.
