Opiniones de Conwell Coffee Hall New York
Conwell Coffee is such a cozy and nostalgic spot! I absolutely love the decor, background music, and overall vibe. We were a party of three and got there around noon on a Sunday, so it was pretty crowded- You order at the counter and they bring everything to you. Ben was super helpful though and managed to find us a seat fairly quickly. The French toast was the highlight for me! It’s soft and custardy in the center but crunchy on the corners. Eggs Benedict were solid, though they could’ve used a little more salt. The tomato soup and Caesar salad were good, just nothing super memorable. The Diet Coke was flat because the machine wasn’t working well, but they took it off the bill. Overall, I loved the ambiance and the food, and I’d absolutely come back for the French toast alone.
Wonderful service, incredible food and an inexpensive brunch spot! The decor alongside the historic architecture is jaw dropping.
I absolutely loved this café! The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. You can really taste the quality in every cup. The pastries were fresh and delicious, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing morning or an afternoon break. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and a warm, friendly vibe. The staff were welcoming and always smiling, which made the experience even better. It’s definitely a place I’ll return to whenever I need a great coffee and a peaceful moment.
Conwell is a unique blend of café charm and stylish social space. It’s ideal whether you’re starting your day with a perfectly brewed coffee, grabbing a tasty lunch, or relaxing with a cocktail in an unforgettable setting. Highly recommended for anyone wandering the Financial District looking for something a bit special.
Loved our dinner here! We went on a double date on a December evening and this was the perfect spot. It is equally cozy as it is spacious, and Conwell boasts a hard-to-come-by amount of table space for New York City. The place was alive and buzzing but it wasn’t loud because there was so much space between tables. We got drinks at the bar first and the French 75s were delightfuuuuul. For an appetizer, we got the tater tots - a little crispier than I usually adore but I still enjoyed. For dinner we got the salmon and the steak sandwich. It was my first time ever trying salmon lol but I was feeling brave and it paid off because I loved it. Def a place to bring someone during the holiday season if they’re in the city visiting! We will be back.
Beautiful historical place with amazing decoration! The space is elegant and full of character, making it a unique and enjoyable spot for coffee or cocktails. Conwell Coffee & Cocktail Hall is a fantastic spot with great vibes day or night. The space is beautiful and relaxed, making it ideal for working during the day or unwinding in the evening. Friendly staff and great service make it even better — definitely worth a visit!
Conwell Coffee has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. We tried the banana bread, the plain croissant and the cheese croissant, and everything was fresh and delicious. Their matcha latte is so smooth and flavorful and the cappuccino is one of our new favorites. Super impressed overall, can’t wait to come back!
This place is so nice. The staff is so pleasant too. They kept a lot of the bank details including the vault and the date sign with Oct.23rd, 1929 light up. It's a little confusing when you first arrive. We didn't see a sign indicating its a first come first serve kind of situation with the seating. We came for coffee and dessert. I had tea and the apple butter twist. It was yummy and not too sweet. My friend had the latte and coffee cake muffin that was very good. And my other friend had the macchiato which she seemed to enjoy since she drank it all.
Very great spot to work with a laptop. But crowded and hard to find a seat, event at 11am on a Wednesday. Outlets are scarce but exist. WiFi is decent. Latte wasn’t anything exquisite but it was good. Super cool interior. Not too loud but (I could take a short meeting but wouldn’t take a longer meeting)
Located in an old bank, this cafe transports you to the 1920s Art Deco style. They serve coffee, food, and pastries. The servers are all dressed up and the service takes a while — not a grab-and-go type place. Sit down, listen to the music, & enjoy the experience. The actual cortado was medium-bodied. They also threw in a biscoff-like biscuit.
A former bank transformed into a café, the space is truly grand and impressive. The décor and atmosphere are top-notch. The Apple Butter Twist has a crisp exterior with a soft inside, not overly greasy, and just the right amount of apple sweetness. The latte is decent, though nothing particularly special.
Perfect place to have coffee in financial district. I came across while walking in the street and it is one of the best coincidences of a coffee place for me. Prices are great for the place. The artwork on the main wall, music choice, even the desk lamps, coffee, banana bread; all was perfect. Also, seems great place to co-work. Food were looking nice, will spare some time for the next time. Cortado was highly deep and tasty, but portion of it was smaller than it should be. Also, latte was good too, but little bit cold. Having cold water always ready in the area is also a nice gesture. Banana bread is highly recommended, moisture and the taste was great. It feels like a time travel inside, highly recommend a visit.
The Interior is phenomenal, together with the Music, just beautiful. You feel transported back in time, it’s super warm and cozy and I would want to buy one of those couches for my living room. Sadly, I do have to say, the service is mediocre and the food.. boring. The soup tasted like campbells tomato soup (wich I usually like, at home..). The coffee was… very acidic. Espresso was dead :( For the location, vibes, and prices I expect outstanding service and just delicious food. Nothing super out there, but I would’ve at least wanted it to be good enough to give a homey feel. Nope. If I come back, it will solely be because the place is just SO beautiful.
