absolutely GOATED. I've had chicken / lamb over rice for a few times now, and the quality is great and consistent. The guy always hesitates to give more hot sauce 🤣 if you can tolerate spice, definitely ask for more sauce!

Bomb food and super convenient for students coming from Shapiro hall. The lamb over rice was amazing and super filling!! The food here is pretty cheap as well considering nearby food trucks and eateries.

I am from middle East i know the real shawerma taste than the fake one, I Can conisder this as one of the best chicken Shawerma I had, I ordered the chicken with rice , the mix is delicious and very tasty, the portion is more than enough for one person, and the price very cheap I got the meal with Pepsi at 9$. The only thing I didn't like that no place to eat. Very recommended

Fabulously tasty halal food!!! Outside of Barnard campus. Definitely top 3 of the chicken over rice I’ve had in NYC and I’ve been to probably a hundred different ones. My new go-to halal near Columbia, after the quality of chicken at the one near Wien hall unfortunately fell off Friendly and fast service. Takes all kinds of payment from cash to card to mobile

This was my third and final attempt with Hooda Halal Truck, and it was the worst experience yet. I ordered lamb over rice with no salad and no fries — a simple request I made very clear, both in the order and again over the phone before the food was even prepared. I emphasized it because they’ve gotten it wrong twice before. Despite that, not only was the salad still included, but it was deliberately hidden under the rice — which feels intentionally deceptive. When I called back to address it, the worker clearly didn’t care and offered no apology or solution. The indifference was just as frustrating as the messed-up order. At this point, it’s hard not to feel like the mistake was on purpose. If you can’t handle basic requests or treat paying customers with basic respect, you shouldn’t be in the food business.
