Best African food. Portions are generous. Food tastes so good especially the chicken. Love it
You'll notice the friendly service right away. The team handles busy periods smoothly. Their plates arrive with satisfying amounts. This restaurant pairs good looks with sincere welcomes. Coming to this spot was the right decision!
The popular opinion seemed suspect until my own experience confirmed it. This place combines strategic location, helpful people, and fair prices. The flavors are clean and natural. The manager is professional and friendly. This spot deserves continued patronage.
This spot combines easy access with warm welcomes. The kitchen output and surroundings were excellent. They maintain their quality reliably. My dining routine now features this spot. This place contributes to local identity.
I have eaten here several times I have gotten the lamb, grilled fish, and fried fish, joloff rice and salad and everything is delicious.
This place serves food that I could crave on a weekly schedule. The team shows exceptional pleasantness and flexibility, with prompt meal service. The dishes are outstanding. Our order allowed everyone to try multiple dishes. I certainly plan to return soon.
La Savane d'Afrique is serving some of the most delicious dishes from western sub saharan Africa with the attieké, alloco, multiple types of grilled meat, and fish. The food was absolutely delicious. The service by Zeinab was nothing short of exceptional. A better job could be done with the wine list, but that's another topic. They do offer some cocktails. They environment is clean and well decorated. I recommend this place the next time you go to Harlem.
Each and every item was delicious, and it was such a variety of flavors. We had the Dibi Mouton, which was extremely juicy and flavorful. Just keep in mind, the mutton quantity is quite large. I can eat a lot, but even I couldn't finish it. Even the atieke and the salad that came with it worked as beautiful mouth refresher. Fataya too were tasty. Overall, it was a great experience. Will come here again.
So good! The location itself is quite small and they ran out of alot of their seafood options but still what we ordered slapped. We got the fried, whole fish with jollof rice. The fish was super fresh and crispy yet flatlet on the inside. It came with a small container of hot sauce that wasn't ridiculously spicy but perfect and then a very well seasoned vegetable salad/ marinade mix that was also so fire. Price and portions arent bad either. You get full off $25 and may still have leftovers. Highly recommend!
"From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warmth and a genuine enthusiasm for exceptional dining. The menu's diverse offerings showcased the chef's culinary artistry, and each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The attentive service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening, making it a truly memorable dining experience. This restaurant effortlessly combines delicious cuisine with impeccable service, earning it a well-deserved place among our favorite culinary destinations."
During my recent visit to my sister, I tried a restaurant nearby. I ordered the Kedjenou Poulet, expecting an Ivorian-style pepper soup. However, I was surprised to receive okra sauce instead. Despite the mix-up, I must say that the Dibi dish stole the show for me. I also appreciated the addition of Maggie cubes with the Attieke, and the Ginger juice was simply delicious. Next time, I plan to dine in person to ensure the food is fresh because my order arrived cold due to the distance.
Best Ivorian restaurant in NYC. The food is consistently flavorful and the servers are courteous and professional. My favorite dish is the leg of lamb with attiéké. The grilled fish is also delicious. The restaurant has been renovated so it looks great, but the tables are too close from each other and during the winter you might feel very cold if you are sitting close to the door because of the cold air getting in from people entering the restaurant.
The food was enjoyable, but the service fell short with a lady server rolling her eyes at me multiple times without cause. Additionally, they were out of many menu items. Despite my dislike for okra, the fufu and okra won me over with their delightful flavors. Improved service would have made the overall experience better, and the eye-rolling behavior was perplexing. Je suis déçu par ce comportement.
The food was probably the worst peanut butter soup and fufu I ever had.. smh love African food and had it many times but this is not it.. the only thing good was the friendly guy and the meat was tender. But the food give me a stomach ache and was really nasty
Food tastes great, but it gave me the worst food poisoning I’ve had in years. Also, service is subpar.
The food wasn't what I expected especially for the price which is fine, I ordered dibi Lamp shoulder and was giving chopped up pieces of goat which was extremely fatty, and the rice which was the best thing on the plate for it too be 25 dollars and order two its very disappointing, especially for the 1st time trying you guys out the atmosphere what giving as if I was unwanted especially when I was enquiring about to food choice too be sure about the lamb that was being provided I specifically wanted an ask if it was lamb shoulder or chopped.
