The food was so good we had to come back a second time. The atmosphere balances professional with personal. The employees balanced attention with space perfectly. The presentation makes the food even more appealing. This restaurant has me fully convinced.
This place maintains its standards. They served numerous plates, each dish better than the one before. Employees demonstrate exceptional hospitality. Lahori Kabab exceeds service expectations. I'm eager to revisit this place.
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan ate here in his younger years. You must come and try it out! owner is awesome he gave me chai. Allahumma Barik brothers.
The waiters remember your preferences between visits. They provide fresh food presented beautifully. The staff is surprisingly welcoming, accommodating, and watchful. The restaurant maintains excellent hygiene. I'm ready to experience this place again.
Simply delicious. Workers here deliver outstanding assistance while explaining ingredients thoroughly. The spot thrives through community integration. The prices are fair for what you receive. We'll definitely be back for another meal.
I tried their Lahori Special Platter and it was truly a joy. It had chicken biryani, chicken curry, shikh kabab and lamb chop. The portion size was more than enough for one person. The chicken chapali kabab was awesome too. They also have delicious traditional dessert. Overall, good bang for buck.
I love Pakistani food and I stumbled across this joint while walking at Lexington Ave. Their tandoori Roti was so soft and tasty. For 2 people, we had a lot of food We got their mutton biryani, tandoori roti with beef curry. We also got chicken tandoori. The total bill was less than 40$ altogether The ambience and setting of the restaurant might not be too fancy, but the food is really good. The owner at the restaurant realized we were Indian, but still treated us so nicely and suggested items based on our preference. I have visited this place every time I visit NYC.
The restaurant offers excellent options for the Desi community seeking authentic food in Manhattan. While the ambiance is average, the food is exceptionally tasty. I recommend trying their non-veg platter. However, I would advise against getting their naan for takeout, as it tends to become hard by the time you reach home. Overall, the taste of the food is reminiscent of what you would find in South Asia.
The chicken samosas at Lahori Kebab are mouthwatering. Today it was made fresh for me. Fresh? I was surprised as that has never happened. I had asked for four and in ten minutes they were made. The aroma was enticing but I wanted to eat it at home. Lahori Kebab is a Pakistani dive in Little India which is littered with Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants. A display case has food that has already been made like dahi kadri (yogurt curry), seekh kebabs, tandoori chicken and tikkas, biryani. Haleem is offered over the weekend and eaten during Ramadan. Customers here are Pakistani men and African delivery men and cab drivers. A woman is rarely seen here and so I always pick up the samosas and kebabs. There is plenty of seating and a restroom but not for women. I always speak in Urdu here and am treated with respect even though I am not Pakistani. I could eat these tasty chicken samosas every week which cost $2 each. They are best eaten with hot chai.
Pakistani casual restaurant serving curries, kebabs, and more in a ramshackle hole-in-the-wall setting. the interior isn’t much to look at—pretty gritty and worn-in…there are tables for in-dining as well as a deli case displaying all the eats in trays. food is heated via microwaves in the back. the place is loud when busy and there is a charm to the chaos of people ordering food, the clangs of food being served, and the general hustle and bustle of staff. been here a few times to pick up takeout dinners post-workout. highly recommend the samosas, $2 apiece. the kebabs were okayish. the curries err on the spicy hot side but are quality. most recently, got a chicken curry, dahl, and rice. pretty ample serving. everything is flavorful and reasonably priced at $12 + tip. for casual spot that uses microwaves, the food quality is pretty good and definitely makes for filling meals. there’s are a lot of people working here in a small space. it feels completely disordered at times but somehow it works. i don’t question it and that is probably for the best.
PROs - location , price , food CONs - service , some type of food , presentation Was walking by Lexington Avenue and saw this spot . I love tasting new restaurants and wanted to stop by this place . Fantastic location . Right in the heart of Lexington Avenue . Lots of other restaurants nearby. Lots of space inside to sit and eat . Even though the ambience is not that great , it’s ok for a quick lunch .. service could be better. All guys go inside the kitchen and hardly come out . Wish they had a bell 🛎️ or something in the counter outside for the customers to call them . Sometimes you keep waiting for many minutes before they come out . For the price , food was good . They have many food items on display and we chose some curries .. quantity was good . Naan , white rice and 2 non veg curries for 13.50$. Not bad. … goat curry was good . Perfect Lahori taste . Chicken curry was average . Could have tasted better . My only issue is presentation. The y just mix all curries in rice and they are smashed all across the plate . Wish they give these curries in separate containers so we can enjoy the flavor of each curries . Another thing is they just reheat these curries . They are precooked . Sometimes with that , we wouldn’t know if it is fresh . It tasted fresh though. Overall a good restaurant but giving them 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ . Will visit again and check and improve my ratings if needed .
Their food is very dirty. I ate here and it didn't taste good at all. The food also smells bad.
I ordered chicken samosas on Uber eats they arrived and had blue onions inside which was in fact colorful but not reassuring they also had hair inside. We called for a refund and they processed to yell at me in Hindi and my roomate who speaks Hindi was also yelled at while trying to translate.
Place was completely empty during lunch time (other places around were pretty full) which should have told me something, but still decided to order some tea (with milk and sugar), totally tasteless and waste of money. Don't know how a Desi restaurant f'ks up a simple tea that bad. Absolutely crap.
